The rooms were a good size and the pillows were very comfortable, as was the bed. The breakfast was a good buffet with nice variety of food. The amenities were more than adequate in the room and they were well insulated for noise. I slept soundly. Unusually good pillows.

I have used it in a solo trip. I want to relax, so I deliberately used a hotel far away from the station. The front desk is very friendly and it was a pleasure to talk to me during check-in. However, I feel that the bathtub was not cleaned and was not drunk. Therefore, I think that if you work hard to clean, the cleanliness will improve.

I was more upset when I booked the hotel, because there were no comments from the seniors. But it was a surprise after I went, the room was large and very cozy. I didn't go to the hot spring, so tired. The breakfast is delicious. Next time you will book this hotel

Staying in a traditional room was perfect for our first trip to Japan and our 10 month old loved the space to crawl around. Beautifully decorated room. Excellent facilities and wonderful team of people. A lovely bonus was having the communal kitchen area to cook which was really handy for us to make some fresh food for our daughter. The location was fantastic, right by the Nisha Chaya district. Highly recommend!

I was born and grew up in Kanazawa. I now have been living in the US for while. I found this place through the internet. My trip to visit my parents in Kanazawa couldn't be any better without staying W&M House. I felt as if I was living in Kanazawa indepently. The place has more space than a regular hotel and the bed room and the living room are separated. There is full equipped kitchen and even salt, pepper and soy sauce! Apita, which is a small size of department store with a big grocery section, is in a walking distance. You can prepare your own meal if you want to or having hard time to eating out. Apita also has a food court. Bill who is the owner of W&M House is super nice, helpful and has quite knowledge about Kanazawa. His hospitality for the guest is beyond! He not only concern Japanese guest but also foreigners. The building has a good security and I always feel safe even I got back from my parents house late night. There are plenty storage space in a closet which is very rare at the hotel in Kanazawa or Japan. My favorite in this place is Japanese style of bath room. There is a little distance from Hirokohgi bus stop which some guest complaint. I was totally fine. If you don't walk so much, there is FLATT BUS , NAGAMACHI route from OUMICHO market every 15 min (only day time around 9am~6pm?) use the stop at Shiragiku machi or Nishi Chaya machi (about 20 min), the house is 2 small blocks away. This place is too good to be true! I definitely come back! Arigato Bill san!

The house is located at the main road, walking distance to the shopping area. The house is equipped with kitchen. It’s very clean and the host is superior. My husband got fever at Saturday night, I reached the host to request a late check out. He offered me free stay until my husband recovered. He responded my message even at midnight and early morning. He even drove us to see doctor and accompanied us for few hours on Sunday morning. I really appreciated very much for his assistance in a place where v desperately needed help and he offered. V finally checked out after seeing doctor.

From the beautiful nature surrounding the hotel to the calm and warm staff that will always help you with a smile, everything about this place is relaxing. The room is big, comfortable, and quiet. Traditional japanese style (which I found is better for my back). The onsen is big and has many amenities, with hot termal water that comes straight out of the mountains. And the restaurant is simply something out of a movie. Every single piece on their menu is a work of art. From sushi to barbecued fish, tofu and wild boar. So many delicious things to chose from. Having dinner or breakfast there you will feel in another time in history. You will exit this hotel happier and more relaxed.

If you want to visit Kutani, you may want to stay at this hotel, and it is also a good transit station for visiting various hot springs in Kaga, very close to the sea. Very clean. But no one can speak English at the front desk, so I have to be a little Japanese.
