My wife and I stayed in this hotel for 11 nights in December, 2019 and January 2020. We had a small suite (same price) which was beautifully decorated, quiet and, by European standards, reasonably spacious. The only nit we had to pick with it was some sacrifice of utility to aesthetics. For example, the very modern, and attractive, fixturing of the bathroom created virtually no flat horizontal surfaces for such mundane items as pill boxes, toothpaste, etc., and while there was a large (by European standards, again) closet for hanging items, there were no drawers in case one was not used to hanging up, say, socks and underwear. I don't want to overstate the problem: we managed well and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The small (10 in total) staff were friendly and helpful, with many doubling their roles such as bellhop + breakfast server. Speaking of breakfast: uniformly excellent. We found the location, in the 1st Arrondissement, to be superb, essentially across the street from the Tuileries, a short walk from Musee l'orangerie and only slightly longer walks to the Louvre and Musee d'Orsay. Only the park separates the hotel from the river. The neighborhood is the home of the many, many high end fashion houses and while the goods were, literally, way above our pay grade, the buildings and windows were gorgeous, particularly at Christmas time. Also special at Christmas was a "Christmas Market" nearby in the Tuileries, operating from before Christmas until a week into the new year.

The hotel's entrance is not obvious, but the location is very good, very close to the Louvre, Lafayette is not far away, go out to the shopping street, there are Giorgio Ar***i, Louis Vitton, Chloe, Celine and so on. The hotel bathroom and bathing area are separate and the facilities are modern. Some rooms can accommodate an extra bed. Breakfast is Western food, good quality, if you can have a little Chinese food, after all, there are quite a lot of Chinese people. Wenhua's service is as good as ever. Going to Paris later is still the first choice.

The service is truly first rate and immediate at all levels. However, for the ultra luxury price , this is a huge letdown. The place feels sterile and cold. The restaurant is the main common space with lobby being a side show akin to an uninviting airport lounge. Remarkably, the food -room service and breakfast — are marginal to bad. Even breakfast breads are substandard. This is quite a shock for a hotel whose restaurant is supposed to be a destination. The hotel is dated. Rooms feel stale and furniture is old. They are ill equipped for the computer age with insufficient outlets. Will not return. For their prices there are numerous better alternatives that are true luxury and perfection in all areas.

The hotel was beautiful, VERY convenient as it was right next to luxury stores and walking distance to many tourist spots. The breakfast was serene and lovely, the bed room was nice. Housekeeping on point, doormen running to help and open the doors. Overall we loved the hotel and WOULD stay again for sure! That being said, the staff was snobby. they did nothing to make us feel special and make us feel welcome even when we told them we were there for our 10 yr anniversary. No champagne nothing!! Every time we’d come down, it would be quiet and they would forcefully say hello.

Hotel Brighton is our choice for lodging when in Paris. An excellent location for touring and dining with most Paris attractions readily available via Metro, with a station across the street from the hotel. The rooms are very comfortable and well appointed. Great breakfast with great variety for all tastes. The staff at Hotel Brighton is the best we have experienced through our many travels - polite, friendly, professional, and always helpful. We truly enjoy Hotel Brighton!

We stayed in this lovely hotel for three nights. Our room was on the second floor with the courtyard view,so it was very quiet at night. The room wasn't very big but absolutely lovely and cozy with comfortable beds and all modern conveniences. Most of all we were impressed by breakfast. It was really GREAT ! A great variety of cheese, bacon, ham, sausages, fruit, vegetables, dairy, pastry, fresh juice ,omelet(specially cooked for you with any filler) and lots of other delicious things. The hotel is perfectly located just a 5 minute walk to the Louvre and The Tuileries Gardens and 10 minute walk to the Opera,D'Orsey museum and other places of interests. Practically, you don"t have to use public transport to see the main attractions, Just walk and enjoy the city! The staff were very friendly and caring. I'd like to say THANK YOU to the staff and all the waiters ,especially to Tamara who was very nice and helpful when serving the breakfast.

I’ve been to Paris a lot of times in my life, As it is a beautiful city, I also have stayed in a lot of different hotels, But the last couple of years I always choose this hotel, And keep returning as it never disappoints me. The location couldn’t be better, Also they are extremely friendly ( very rare in Paris) the rooms are also so so clean ( very important these days) I visited the hotel last weekend with my boyfriend, They moved us to a different room then usual ( an upgrade), But I preferred the other room where I always stay in.. That was no problem at all, And they changed us immediately. You get everything you want in a room: Nespresso machine, Bottle of water, Diptique shower gels etc, Also the breakfast on the room is very nice ( the only thing I would wish is freshly squeezed orange juice) but now I’m being picky. Really, I could only say to everyone this hotel is really a gem and you should really visit it!

My husband and I had a great stay at Hotel La Tamise - Esprit de France. The staff was incredibly kind, attentive and did absolutely everything in their power to make sure we had the best stay. The rooms are comfortable and the bathrooms were very nice with all the amenities. Rooms come with Nespresso machines, fresh water every day, hairdryer, full-length mirror, and a very comfortable bed. There are stairs and a nice elevator. The bar downstairs where guests can enjoy breakfast is well stocked and they even had gluten-free toast! We had an amazing stay here and would absolutely book it again, easy walk to many attractions and subway stations.

Very nice decoration and it is a beautiful property. Breakfast was amazing! Must try their French toast. However, details weren’t met especially for 5 star hotel. No snack for turndown service. There was no shaver in the shaver box. The room was slightly dusty. Also, some incident happened in our room and it was not taken care of the way we have expected. It was quite disappointing in terms of service.

I've stayed here before back in 2013 and 2014 and was here for seven nights in early January 2020. I love this hotel. It is small enough to make you feel like warmly welcomed and valued but large enough to have the comforts of a big hotel. My room wasn't ready until after the check-in time, so I was given a complimentary glass of wine with a smile and lots of kindness. The staff are impeccable in their courtesy and genuine interest in where I was going for the day and how I was spending my time. I loved the breakfast - lots of variety and the croissants were just wonderful. Of course, the location is unbeatable. It's a short walk from Galleries Lafayette and Printemps in one direction and the Louvre in the other. It's an easy walk to the Pompidou Centre, Notre Dame and Il de la Cite. In fact you can walk just about everywhere a tourist wants to see, except maybe the Eiffel Tower which is about an 8 euro cab ride away. I was even able to walk back to the hotel from Montmartre (there was a train strike) but it's Paris and walking is one of the joys of the city. My room was cosy, spotlessly clean, had a fridge/mini bar and lovely products in the bathroom. I can't recommend this hotel more highly. When I was leaving the staff even inquired about my home in Australia and whether I had been affected by the bushfires. Their kindness and warmth was something I will remember - particularly the concierge whose name I can't remember but he was lovely. I will return for sure.

We unfortunately only stayed one night in this wonderful hotel. After making the reservation, the staff asked if there was any special occasion for our visit, which there was. The MBA graduation of my fiancé. After a super friendly welcome upon arrival, in which immediately her graduation was mentioned, we were shown to our room (free upgrade). To our immense surprise there was a huge bunge of balloons waiting, as well as a large, framed card, signed by all managers of the hotel (reception, restaurant, housekeeping, spa, concierge, etc. etc.). Very moving. For the rest we enjoyed the marvelous restaurant (unfortunately due to covid, only one of them was open), great bar and superb Spa. All the staff were courteous, friendly, helpful....a great experience. The room itself, was spacious, very comfortable (especially the bed) and a very nice bathroom in white marble. We will definitely be back here for a longer stay.

My son and his fiancé were married in Paris in late August and reserved their wedding night stay at Sofitel Paris Le Faubourg. Regrettably, the COVID-19 pandemic made in-person participation by his Canadian family impossible. Wanting to contribute to their special day from a distance, a family member contacted the hotel to enquire about what could be done. Showing great compassion and empathy for our circumstances, the Sofitel representatives offered several upgrades and amenities free of charge, including upgrading their room to a suite and placing a bottle of champagne, macarons and a beautiful flower bouquet in the suite before their arrival. In addition, we purchased for each of them a lovely hotel robe, which the hotel's in-house seamstress embroidered with their names and wedding date. Not only was the embroidery perfect, the staff and seamstress went above and beyond to accomplish it with only a couple of days' notice. My son and his bride were unaware of these special items and so were very pleasantly surprised when they checked-in between their wedding ceremony and formal photos. At that time, we were able to engage in a brief FaceTime call during which their happiness and gratitude for all of the “special treats” came through very clearly! As the remote father of the groom, seeing my son and new daughter-in-law so happy on their wedding day meant a great deal to me. On behalf of all of our family, I would like to express our sincere gratitude to Thomas, Jerome, your hotel seamstress and all members of your hotel staff who contributed to making our newlyweds' special day so wonderful and memorable. As our family contact with the hotel remarked to me, “the hotel staff were a real stand up team and I’m grateful that they chose that hotel for such a special event. You can tell they really cared”. My family and I have stayed at Sofitel hotels on several occasions. Each visit was an excellent experience and I am glad that we can now add the Sofitel Paris Le Faubourg to the list. We look forward to another Sofitel visit when international travel becomes possible.

Stayed 9 nights. Got a room in the 5' floor with balcony. Small but very nice. Superb location, some 20 m. from the Rue Rivoli on a quiet small street. No noise at all. Meters from St. Jaques Tour and the Hotel de Ville (Municipality). Exit from the Hotel de Ville Metro station, exit Rue Coutellierie, has mechanic stairs till the street which is not so common. For elderly people, or with baby trolleys, etc. is perfect. Walking distance from Forum des Halles, Louvre, Pompidou Center, Notre Dame, Latin Quarter, etc. Everyone speaks english. Stephan speaks Spanish as well. Very nice and helpful good looking and cooperative guy. Completely refrubrished. Insulated walls prevent from any noise from other rooms or street which is anyway very quiet. Beautiful, small bathroom. Small but has everything. New furniture. Wooden floor. New and very good quality of towels. Very good heating. Kettle and coffe machine in the room. Now cons: not everything is bright: The room is perfect but very very small. Has very little shelves and room for clothes. Beautiful but extremely small. Need to improve exterior entrance which is brown, dark, and old, leaving a not nice impression. Nice and clean lobby but outside look, needs improvement. Same with the corridors rugs. I will definitely come back and recommend to my friends, those who don't mind to stay in a very small room - but very nice and pleasant.

Good location, nearby Carrefour, franprix and other supermarkets! I live on the 2nd floor facing the street, and it is very quiet at night, but the sound insulation between the room and the room is really average. The room is not large and has a balcony (not every room, so it is best to leave a message to tell the room with a balcony when booking) ), There is also a door in the bathroom sharing a balcony with the room, so the balcony is quite large. The hotel only provides shampoo, shower gel and hair dryer. Slippers, toothbrushes and toothpaste are not provided, so it is recommended to bring your own toiletries. Lines 7 and 10 are only 5 minutes' walk from the surrounding area. Line 4 is about 15 minutes away. The 5th district is a Latin area, surrounded by universities, so it is safe! The hotel has access control locks, staff need to help open the door to enter! Breakfast is an ordinary western-style breakfast, bread, milk, eggs, oatmeal, sausage and cheese. A tax of 1.88 euros per person per night, which must be paid to the front desk when checking out. This Ctrip will also call you when you are in China to inform you that this tax must be paid to the hotel separately! The hotel provides free wlan, but the Internet speed is average, the room has air conditioning and heating. In short, the price is high!

In Christmas 2019 in France, I ordered a Superior King Room (with sofa bed). The size of the room is already relatively large in Paris. The two 24-inch boxes can be spread out and can be used at the same time. Hotel location: In the 1st district, about 10 minutes from the Louvre if not. The entrance of the hotel is Line 1 and Line 14 subway stations, which is very convenient (although we happened to strike in France when we went there, the subway stopped ... But it is very convenient to live here if you come here to play). There are a variety of restaurants near the hotel downstairs, from McDonald's to Italian French and Japanese. There is also a 10-minute walk from St. Eustache Church. The church will have an organ show around 5pm on Sunday, which is worth a look. Room facilities: There is a kettle (I originally brought a portable kettle, but the boiled water has white foam. In the end, I can only use the hotel. Fortunately, the hotel's kettle is quite clean. The shampoo and bath are two in one. Washing hands and washing face in one. The smell is very comfortable. It doesn't dry out after washing. Breakfast: Special! do not! it is good! We stayed in Paris for 5 nights. One of the most anticipated daily is the hotel breakfast. There are various types of bread such as ham, bacon, cheese, and baguettes. The best thing is their croissant and small square chocolate filling. The bag has a particularly crispy outer skin, and the inside is very soft. The fruits are also cut. The oranges, kiwis, pineapples, grapefruits, bananas, and watermelons are also available. You can also squeeze the juice directly (but the grapefruit is a bit bitter and is not recommended ), The coffee machine is also self-service, there are latte, fast coffee, cappuccino, etc., hot dishes are omelet, tomato sauce, bean sauce, boiled potatoes, etc. Others are oatmeal, raspberry juice, grapefruit juice and orange juice ( Of course it's ice). If you want to eat fried eggs, you can tell the waiter that the kitchen is fried and delivered to the location. Overall the hotel experience is very good.

Booked based on location before reading reviews so was a little nervous about what to expect. Have to say I saw no evidence of the poor maintenance shown in some photos, the public areas of the hotel and our room were in perfect order and very clean. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and the front desk is manned 24x7. We arrived far too early for check-in hoping we could just leave our bags but the room was ready so they let us have it right away. They kept hold of our bags for us until an evening flight on check-out day too. The room was quite small but that's normal for the old buildings in the area. Shower was over the bath but decent pressure. Location is ideal, at the quieter end of one of the less busy streets in the Marais, so only two minutes walk from all the cafes, bars and restaurants but not too noisy. I will happily book again next time I'm working in Paris.

I've stayed at this hotel on several occasions in the past, and after a 10 year gap I returned to Paris for a few days and booked again. I was not disappointed! The location is just excellent...Pompidou is a block away, BHV literally opposite. Le Marais, Notre Dame etc. are a short stroll, and everywhere else a quick metro ride away. I was in town for work but even being tired at the end of the day, getting out to eat and sightsee in the evenings was effortless. The hotel has a contemporary boutique feel - stylish but subtle and nicely updated since my previous visits. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful, and my room was modern and comfortable. I opted for the express breakfast each morning, which offers juice, coffee and a selection of wonderful fresh breads and pastries. A perfect start to my day and again served by a welcoming and friendly member of staff. I can't recommend this place enough, and I will be returning on my next Paris visit!

We stayed here for 4 nights at the end of February. The first two nights were on the 3rd floor facing the street. It was significantly loud with traffic and street noise. On the third night we switched to a 4th floor room that faces the courtyard and alley. MUCH quieter. Both rooms were executive sized (larger than standard.) It was nice to have the extra room, however, there were at least two too-many pieces of furniture in each room that ate up a lot of the space! We could have done without the extra side chair and occasional table. (Or keep those two and get rid of the love seat!) It didn't help that my wife and I each had two large pieces of luggage each. The furniture is a little dated but not unsettling. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom modern and clean. (although the shower had a very slow drain and the pan backed up with a pool of water, yuck.) One more thing about the first bathroom: The faucets were a design of smooth chrome; so smooth that it was impossible to turn them off with wet hands! Design fail! The executive room we moved to on the 4th floor was a bit bigger, and better laid out. This one had a tub shower and workable faucets! FTW! The roof deck is NOT TO BE MISSED! One of the best views in Paris! All front desk and cleaning staff were gracious and very helpful. I would possibly stay here again if only for the location and roof top view!
