Initially the choice of the ”Maison des Reves” was made for me by the limited time available and by the proximity to the Greek Theatre for a show (Belle & friends) for which I bought the tickets; well: perfect choice! I was very favourably affected by the cleaning of the rooms, the courtesy and availability of managers and the particularly tasty and varied breakfast for a b/b. It might be said that entry into a modest house penalises a little the structure, but I can assure you that it is a matter that is soon forgotten in the light of the efficiency and professionalism that they find in the ”Maison”. Optimale solution to visit Siracusa, where we spent 4 nights. Free parking is always available and the possibility of walking both Ortigia and Neapolis, the most interesting points of the city. The hotel is very friendly, the newly renovated rooms are beautiful and clean. It is also very good breakfast with local products. One side of the ground floor has a sealed window wall and the air cannot be changed.

The rooms are very beautiful and stylishly decorated. They have everything you expect from a B&B. The air conditioning is very modern and you can make various settings. The rooms also have roller shoes that you can really make it dark. Unfortunately, you can hear the street noise. A very big negative point is the cleanliness. Surfacely everything seemed clean at first sight, but several hairs were both in the bathroom and in the bed. Also the duche was stuck with hair. The rooms were ”cleaned” only once in the time (4 days). After the cleaning power there was only the bed made. Dental paste spots on the floor and grumbles were still there. The towels were also only rearranged (one was even wet from the shower). I don't need a stranger in the room if she doesn't do anything there.

Il posto è davvero molto carino; abbiamo prenotato una camera tripla, spaziosa, ben arredata e con un piccolo patio privato. La colazione, che abbiamo fatto in un bel giardino in mezzo a piante profumate, è stata abbondante, con brioches, torte, panini dolci, e, volendo, una parte salata (noi ci siamo limitati a quella dolce). La posizione è ottimale, una ventina di minuti a piedi da Ortigia. Alla stessa distanza si trova il parco archeologico. Abbiamo lasciato l'auto in un parcheggio libero vicino al b&b, anche se era agosto non abbiamo avuto problemi, forse nel weekend è più difficile trovare posto. E' presente anche un parcheggio a pagamento poco distante. Gentilissimi i proprietari.

The breakfast on the balcony is lovely, a beautiful way to start the day before heading out. Plenty of restaurants nearby and about a 7 - 10 minute walk maximum to get into the heart of old town laneways. About 2 minutes to the markets.

This Caportigia Boutique is not bad. It is also the most expensive hotel booked on this route. It has a sense of design, good quality of objects, and good service. The black doorman was very hardworking, and the breakfast was rich, not very cost-effective. High, but also worth the price. Probably because the hotel is a remodeled old building, the storey height is very high, plus the top decoration, it feels like a palace...hehe, overall it feels good. In addition, the location of the hotel is very good. It takes only a few minutes to walk to the old city after stopping the car, and it takes only a few minutes to drive to the Ruins Park.

Before we even stayed in the hotel I knew the experience was going to be great - every mail I sent them before the trip was responded to in a timely fashion and super polite. On arrival we were greeted and shown to our room which was lovely. The hotel was quiet and all the staff were very polite and friendly (shout out to Magdy in the restaurant). My wife and I spent 3 nights at this old convent in Ortigia, the old part of Siracusa. We were given a room on the third floor, with a small balcony overlooking the Ionian sea and, to the north, Etna looming in the distance behind the city (about 50 miles away). I believe this room had the best view of any place we’ve stayed. David and Cinzia at the front desk were extremely helpful, and recommended several good restaurants during our stay. This hotel was an ideal base for us to explore Siracusa by foot, or to just hang out and enjoy the view from our balcony. If you manage to get a room with a sea view, sunrise is not to be missed!

La struttura ricettiva è posizionata appena fuori dall’Ortigia, questo consente di visitarla con una certa facilità ed inoltre consente di parcheggiare la macchina nella zona in parcheggi gratuiti. il b&b si trova al secondo piano senza ascensore, anche se dotato di un montacarichi per i soli bagagli utilizzabile solo in presenza del responsabile. La camera ed il bagno sono spaziosi, ed in parte rinnovati, dotata di un piccolo terrazzino, nel mio caso, vista mare. Avendo trascorso una sola notte non posso esprimermi per molto di più, comunque un buon posto per visitare Ortigia.

Re Federico is a centrally located hotel on the island of Ortigia and close to the water. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The hotel appears to be fairly recently renovated and our room was spacious with a well-functioning AC. We also enjoyed the large in-room breakfast in the morning. Other perks include the street cafe on the first floor of the hotel. We had a great cocktail hour there watching people walk the streets. It is also easy to get anywhere on the island from this spot. A few tips - we drove our cars and the hotel was a tad hard to find. I'd advise dropping off your bags and planning to go quickly to the public parking area about 10-15 min walk away. I would say its a tad expensive compared to other hotels of similar quality we stayed in throughout Sicily. All in, a nice pleasant spot in a good location.

What a fabulous hotel. We booked a couple of night last minute as we loved Ortigia and wanted to stay longer. Henry’s House is in an amazing location right on the sea front. It has the friendliest and most helpful staff. The rooms are quirky and fun. And the highlight was the gorgeous terrace overlooking the sea, I could have spent the whole time chilling there, just people and boat watching. I couldn’t recommend this hotel more highly.

This is a gem on the Island - nestled on the side of the old town (Ortega with views over the sea and onto the next peninsula. The whole staff here were friendly and welcoming. The room I booked had a sea view and it has a balcony, and two huge windows to enjoy it from. The room was clean and well-furnished. Meanwhile, the garden room on the 4th floor is the best place to enjoy Breakfast - and the buffet is the best I've had in many years. The waitress tipped me off about the tower above the garden room, and sure enough you get 360-degree views across Syracuse, plus enough space for 3 tables and some sun loungers. Once I'd had a morning visiting local attractions and a lunch I came back and just took in the sights on the rooftop all afternoon. Heaven in a tourist city - you've got to try it!

I stayed in Syracuse for 4 nights for a conference that was held in Ortigia, the Island that is the older part of the city. Since I knew that I would be arriving late in the evening and that the bus from Catania airport would be leaving me off across the bridge, I looked for a place that was near the bridge, so that I would not have to wander the alleys of Ortigia at night to look for my hotel. So I reserved at L'Approdo delle Sirene, even though it was more expensive than other similar B&B's. I was not disappointed. When I contacted the hotel to inform them that I would be arriving after their reception desked closes at 8 pm, they send me detailed instructions on how to find the key to my room, which I did, and then registered the following morning. In general, the room was comfortable and large, the ac worked well, wi-fi also worked, the room had a safe, a mini-bar, and a kettle. The shower is also large, and there was plenty of hot water. Breakfast was fairly good, although more vegetables would have been nice. And the location, with a balcony overlooking the water, could not be beat!

We had a one night lovely stay at Byssus Suites. Lovely staff and very beautifully decorated and comfortable rooms. A short and flat walk to the centre of Ortygia and we enjoyed being a little out of the centre as we could enjoy less ”touristy” dining options too and from the hotel. Hotel has free parking behind which was a bonus for us with a car but you first need to pull up out the front so they can direct you to parking (this can be easy or difficult depending on the time you arrive). Breakfast is at next door restaurant and was lovely with freshly squeezed orange juice. Highly recommend.

L'unica cosa migliorabile è la colazione: la scelta potrebbe essere più ampia. La struttura è isolata quindi è necessario avere un mezzo proprio per spostarsi. I spent a week at Hotel Como, which is now one of my favourite hotels ever. It is opposite the train station, and round the corner from the bus station. The room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. The breakfast selection was perfect for me - fresh croissants, bread, fruit juice, and coffee. I enjoyed the stroll along Corso Umberto to get to Ortigia, which is the main bustling crowded historical island. I knew it was a popular destination, but even so I was a bit surprised at the huge number of tourists! However, it's possible to amble along side streets and find some quiet areas. The room is super beautiful and the view is charming! After entering the room, I immediately decided to change the itinerary and stay one more night! The service is very good! I'm still walking around at the door, the charming lady at the front desk will come out and I will take it in. We stayed during a TUI tour of Sicily and this was evidently chosen because it was very cheap. There was another TUI tour group staying on the same night, so it was clearly catering for this market. The Hotel - it was dated and the rooms were in a terrible state, with furniture broken, an unpleasant smell and the bathroom flooded with water after using the shower. The Staff - rude and unhelpful, in particular on reception. I note that they say English is a language that they cater for, but they refused to make any effort to communicate in it at all. The Food - awful, unless you think that a spoon of risotto, a mackerel fillet, spoon of iceburg lettuce and slice of watermelon makes an acceptable meal. That's the problem with an inclusive package i guess. Dreadful hotel to steer well clear of. I am surprised that TUI are using it - they must have a lot of negative feedback.

Very good location at the same price, very close to the business district and the church square. The rooms are very spacious, very different from those cramped hotel rooms. It is more suitable for the whole family to travel together. The breakfast is very rich, and it is not compliant with a five-star hotel. If the check out is too early, the hotel will prepare a take away breakfast in advance. The only thing to note is that the front desk is not staffed 24 hours a day. If you arrive too late, it is best to greet the hotel in advance.

Initially the choice of the ”Maison des Reves” was made for me by the limited time available and by the proximity to the Greek Theatre for a show (Belle & friends) for which I bought the tickets; well: perfect choice! I was very favourably affected by the cleaning of the rooms, the courtesy and availability of managers and the particularly tasty and varied breakfast for a b/b. It might be said that entry into a modest house penalises a little the structure, but I can assure you that it is a matter that is soon forgotten in the light of the efficiency and professionalism that they find in the ”Maison”. Siracusa in ❤️.. we find this solution thanks to a friend.. the b&b is located two steps from the Greek Theatre and the sanctuary of the Madonna of Tränen.. you will have the opportunity to park quietly.. supermarket in front.. h24 distributor next to.. clean and clean rooms in details. , Wi-Fi.. abundant breakfast and then Chiara and Joseph are a great reference point for each advice you need.. we will surely return ❤️

Optimale solution to visit Siracusa, where we spent 4 nights. Free parking is always available and the possibility of walking both Ortigia and Neapolis, the most interesting points of the city. The hotel is very friendly, the newly renovated rooms are beautiful and clean. It is also very good breakfast with local products. One side of the ground floor has a sealed window wall and the air cannot be changed.
