Moreover I would specially appreciate the all hotel staff as they were all the time eager to help. 3. We had booked 3 rooms for our family and we were here to visit Golden Temple which is hardly 7-10 minutes away by walk from here as well as we celebrated our daughter 4h Birthday. 4. Just at the entry gate of Golden Temple; Both Jalianwala bagh campus and Partition Museaum at Amritsar Town hall is within 200 to 400 metres - You will enjoy the walk! But, Forget of Parking, you can't take your vehicle to the hotel - You have to get battery operated autos to reach from main thoroughfares to Hotel! Property is excellent! Rooms are really good, excellently well appointed, neat and clean, with all standard amenities and having breathtaking view of the Golden Temple! But, virtually no room service!!

|1.16km from city centerStayed at this hotel for 2 nights as part of a Shimla & Amritsar tour. Not as good as we were expecting. Parts of the hotel is under construction/renovation and the area directly outside resembled a building site. The rooms were large and spacious with a decent size bathroom although bathrooms need a little TLC (grouting etc). Wall mounted shower gel bottle in shower needs replacing as quite dirty. Rooms advertised as having hairdryer and safe but had neither. Contacted reception who arranged for said items to be brought to the room. Pool was out of use due to renovation works. Although only a few kilometers to the Golden Temple absolutely nothing to do directly outside of hotel. On a plus side the staff were great.

The rooms are clean and we got an upgrade at checkin. The hotel has standard amenities and a small pool with gym at the top of the hotel. The only sour note was probably how the hotel measures it staff perfor***ce. The ***ager of the coffee shop and the waiters were insistent that we give good feedback. It seems the praise is being pushed which we would have given any how. The second unprofessional thing was that our flights were in the evening and we asked for late checkout. The front desk seemed amused and were playing with us. This is not professional. I would recommend the food even if its price (a la carte) is significantly higher.

Staff is very polite and helpful. Food is excellent and room service efficient. Travel desk is ***ned by a thoroughly professional gentle***. Overall, if you are focused on golden temple, a great place to stay. Few drawbacks. Breakfast, supposed to start at 8 am, barely starts by 830 am. Very poor quality wifi. So not a place for combining work with holiday. Airport cabs refuse to take to the hotel, saying its not permitted by police which is an utter lie. Hotel should call clients in advance and inform them about it or better still, arrange cabs without extra charge. I am sure they are losing clients due to this. As for me, despite all this, I enjoyed my stay there.

Opposite the hotel is the post office, and there are McDonald's, but McDonald's is vegetarian and no meat. This area is banned from smoking, drinking and meat, which caused me to miss the meat here. |1.64km from city centerWe arrived at Amritsar the day before the Parkash Parab, which led to difficulty in reaching the hotel. Staff helped us at every step, starting with dealing with a recalcitrant taxi-cab driver, to helping us with our luggage and even the less mobile among us across jam-packed streets. The rooms are well furnished and clean, the washrooms are, too. Rooms are centrally air-conditioned and hot water is available round the clock. The greatest advantage of the property is its location just outside the Golden Temple complex and takes you all of three minutes to reach the inner courtyard. Positives: Location, cleanliness, very helpful staff. On the downside: Small rooms, all rooms don't have view, no kitchen or dining room — food is brought to you from outside, so it takes a long time to reach.

|1.42km from city centerI must say this is the best hotel if you want to stay near to the Golden Temple, its right opposite to Golden temple, I won't even call it walking distance, its like you step out of the Golden Temple and get into the space that is the shared parking space the hotels. The rooms are neat and clean, don't expect any luxury here, these are basic hotels, but provide all that you would need for a short 2-3 nights stay. I have stayed here twice and my experience has been great. In fact, on my recent visit I got lost and didn't know how to bring my car to the hotel, and the hotel ***ager sent someone to pick me up, that was a great gesture. One thing you need to be careful about is bringing your car here, its not straight forward, GPS doesn't work that great, it might guide you to narrow lanes where you might get stuck, better to talk to the hotel guys and they would guide you. The food variety is average, but taste is good and value for money.

Also, the Hotel ***agement was kind enough to upgrade my room from double bed to family room at no extra cost (It was a blessing for us as we were three people staying in that room). The hotel is very conveniently located at just across the road from the Amritsar Railway station. There are large number of good restaurants in the vicinity. Transport to any location in Amritsar is easily available at the doorstep of the hotel as it is placed on a busy road. Rooms were quite big. Beds and linen were very clean and comfortable. Bathroom was very spacious with modern fittings. Toilet and basin were crystal clean. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a delightful stay for us.

|0.24km from city centerTHE WORST PLACE ON EARTH - THEY HAVE RATS. I stayed at this hotel in November thinking I would be getting a good hotel. The complete opposite: it was a hellhole. As part of the booking, it was to include an airport pick up. This was booked over 7 days before I arrived so absolutely no excuse not to have arranged. My first night ever being in India and no one is there to pick me up at Amritsar airport. Despite having emailed several times through the days to try and get a confirmation, no reply. I then phone them up when I arrive only to be told they have no notification of me booking a taxi. I had to scream at them about 100 times to say its confirmed on the email. They kept saying they knew nothing about this. Luckily I had a contact in India who was able to phone on my behalf and told them to get their act together and send one immediately. About 2 hours later the taxi arrives. The don't open on either side and there are no seatbelts. It took him so long to find me and his English was zero. This is my first experience of the Sikh Holy land. Disgraceful. When I arrive at the hotel I say straight away to the Recepionist what the hell happened? He tells me 'the driver was stuck in traffic'. What a liar! The next morning I am still shocked by this episode so I go down to talk to someone else. They tell me 'the driver had a fever'. It took 2 interactions to realise I was surrounded by crooks. This taxi cost 1200 rupees. About 800 rupees more expensive than an Uber. Absolutely disgusting. The breakfast took ages to arrive even though I was generally the only person there (surprise surprise) and there were about 4 different waiters wandering around at all times. Most of them were doing nothing other than looking at their mobile phones. Clearly serving guests to much effort. The state of the kitchen was absolutely revolting. Rubbish lying all over the floor. And what does leaving rubbish out lead to? Rats of course. Please see attached video to hear them scuttering around in my celing. Every night they kept me up with the sounds of them running through the walls. And then leaving their droppings on the floor which OF COURSE never got cleaned up. ALL staff working there are men: not safe for women. The first night I arrived one of them 'escorted' me to my room without me asking. Clearly just looking for a tip (after my taxi didn't turn up to!), he did not get one I can assure you. They also didn't supply toilet paper without having to ask about 50 times. They charge for this hotel as if its top class but don't be fooled, there are so ***y better options around.

By CNG car, it's a quick 10 minutes to the Golden Temple without traffic, so the location is great. It also helped with minimizing street noise. There are not a lot of restaurants outside of the hotel on the street, but the food from the hotel itself was delicious and served through room service. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Easy check-in and check-out. The bed was a bit stiff and the room was cold, but they provided a small space heater and I slept fine. Bathroom is a bit primitive with a hot water tank and it was a tight squeeze. Walls were scuffed, but otherwise the room was clean. It was a comfortable stay with good food and good service! I recommend this hotel to foreigners who are looking for a comfy hotel close to the center that won't break the bank.

Room service is also really good, the kitchen food is also very tasty. I never felt as if we are staying in a hotel. They treated us just like family. Would definitely recommend everyone, if you are visiting Amritsar, stay here without a second thought. It's just a stone's throw away from Golden Temple, with markets and other shops available nearby 😀

It is on Queen's Road and very close to the Golden Temple (10 minutes away)...the road to the airport is also very straight. So no traffic problems at all. Very good breakfast. Overall it was a great stay and I highly recommend... a 3 star hotel that runs like any 4 star hotel.

|3.86km from city centerI stayed at the Hyatt Regency in Amritsar for 2 nights 30 /31 May as part of a Mercury Holidays tour group. All the hotels used were excellent but the Hyatt stood out because of the attentive nature and politeness of all the staff members. They could not do enough for us. The greeting was exceptionally warm and friendly and we were made to feel special right from the moment we got off the bus. Everything was well organised and the whole experience was wonderful, stress free and relaxing. Everyone was so helpful and the service so prompt and personal. Too ***y staff to compliment from door attendants, greeters, receptionists, luggage handlers, restaurant personnel and room cleaners all deserve more than 10 out of 10. I have probably missed out some roles for which I apologise. If I had to select two names it would be Sonali on greeting. She has a smile to die for (see photo attached) and so helpful and informative. She told us all about the Golden Temple what to look for to get the full experience and showed us a flavour of what to expect there at night and during the day and at the closing of the border ceremony via the hotel information video. She also advised us on the security arrangements at sites and what not to take ( eg cigarette lighters) and expected dress codes. Nothing was too much trouble for this lady and her colleagues. The other person would be Bandano who worked in the pastry shop. I was looking for some of our tour party and another tour group had just arrived so the greeters were very busy in the foyer and she just came over and asked if she could help and pointed out where our people had gone. This demonstrates the team work between all departments and why the service at this hotel is exceptional. I have travelled a lot on business and have stayed in some top class world ranked hotels and this is one of the best due mainly to the genuine attentive nature of the staff and their willingness to help. Nothing was too much trouble.

TV is a bit of a problem, sometimes ok sometimes auto off. the hotel also has an elevator from reception to room, which is good for me not to climb the stairs.
