|2.95km from city centerWe book the room by mail. At first, we were a bit puzzled when the taxi left us in front of this place. But what a backpacker!!! Sam is amazing. He loves talking to his guests, is very helpful, will do everything he can to help and advise you. My husband and myself, we loved talking to him. He is such a funny and interesting guy. His wife is also lovely. The bedrooms we stayed in did not have windows, which avoided us to be waken by the street. They were clean, like the share bathroom. Our 2 kids had their own bedroom. They both enjoyed the patio/ terrace. This is the best place to meet with all other travellers, or to stay quiet outside. The breakfast is very generous. The place is at walking distance from everywhere in Kuching. Yes, there are lots of cats, but the place was clean. We do recommend this place. Nathalie

|3.27km from city centerThe room I stayed in was a smoking room at 2nd floor. It was wide, clean and cozy. The aircon worked well, the bed was soft and comfortable. There were complementary 2 medium-sized bottle of mineral water with set of coffee and tea. The bathroom was quite large and clean. Everything worked as expected. Breakfast, opened at 6am in the morning, was located on the ground floor with limited but decent selection of menu. Staffs were very helpful, check-in and check-out process was smooth and quick. I would certainly come here again!

|1.41km from city centerA beautiful room but could be further improved. It obviously looks incomplete to me. What is with the blind instead of curtains? Curtains will make the room more vibrant and elegant. How about installing carpet on the floor to make the room look more pleasing. Family room especially. Not all the guests likes to walk on tiles when in a room. Hot water is provided outside the room but I don't see any glasses, drink packets of tea/coffee. So I am wondering what is it for? However, I like the idea of ironing your clothes on Level 2 and drying your hair on Level 1 outside the room. Hunting for food was easy as there were many cafes/restaurants nearby but the weakness point is its a bit far from town.

|3.1km from city centerVery much centrally located. 3min walk to the Kuching Waterfront by the river. Lots of nearby shops to buy souvenirs, kek lapis and clothing. There is a mall at the lower ground so very easy and convenient.
Booked premier room with river view but was given free upgrade to 2 bedroom suite facing the river. Superb! Comfy bad and spacious rooms though the fridge was not working and sink was quite blocked. Reported during check out. Downside is this unit is at level 8 so can be quite noisy at night with the mooncake festivals street kiosks and mosque nearby.
The breakfast spread was very2 good with lots of choice. The negative part was the pastries were quite cold and hopefully the staff manning the noodle counter can be a bit more friendly
Overall, worth for money, excellent location and recommended hotel in Kuching. Would stay here again in the future.

|1.74km from city centerNearby the hotel, there’s food court, laundry and emart supermarket. It’s quite convenient and not too far from Vivacity mall, galacity etc which get car to there only need around 5 mins. Hotel provide free shuttle to and from Borneo Medical Centre. The bad side is that tv only have TV 1,2,3 which no mandarin channel at all. Besides, we only can get a card for room. The hot water for shower is not very good functioning, not warm / hot enough. Other than these, everything is good!

|4.34km from city centerCons - pay 1++ but no tv, no remote aircond, no free drinking(coffee or cup), no handle for door room, floor a little bit dirty, no hanging palce for clothes in the room, hotel is beside club which a bit annoy when night, the lightning in room is yellow not led, no workers at reception when above 10p.m, to enter hotel and lift has to use access card which is quiet annoy sometimes.
Pros - space in room is average, toilet space is big.

|3.23km from city centerI happened at Woodpecker just the day before they closed Malaysia in isolation because of Coronavirus ...e I have to say that Oliver and Lynn were my saving!! You don't expect a luxury hostel, but you will certainly meet that warmth and family atmosphere that will make you want to spend more time! There are single rooms with bathroom, space is very small, but nothing misses. If you are not used to air conditioning, point right on the bed! It's better to choose a von ventilator room in this case. The hostel is developed on 3 floors and NO HAVE A LIVELS (I had a baggage, I made a lot of effort), the terrace offers a spectacular view of the river and sunset, unforgettable! The kitchen is provided with all tools (do not forget that it is very small and you will divide it into MULTI...the consequences are obvious), but if you miss something ask Oliver, and magically it will jump out (The last days there was also a stick on the terrace!) The two cats are the gods of the hostel, but they only babbed the first floor (where there is reception, bedroom kitchen and some singles): if you are above the floor you will not see them. Fittano also campsites to visit the Bako National Park (I did not have the chance), and Oliver is able to give many tourist information. There are several fixed guests of the structure, help in household business is always appreciated (for the price you pay a single, then, it is the minimum you can do!) Washing machine available for 5RM, and it is on the terrace. The area is very widely furnished with restaurants and the supermarket is 100 metres away.

|3.1km from city centerI opted for Riverside Majestic Astana Wing as my quarantine stay. From the moment I was picked up to the stay itself, the service has been great. I am currently still staying in my Deluxe King room on the 15th floor (the bed is super comfortable!). By all account, select the river view room. Each even the sky turns into a magical hue of oranges, the most beautiful sunset. A stay would not be great if not for the service. I would like to call out Amos Chong who checked me in upon arrival. His customer service is personable and with lots of attention to detail. He has the ability to make you feel like as if you're a returning VIP even if its just your first stay. Kudos also goes out to Ivy from the restaurant. Each morning she greets with such delight and would address me by name. She's definitely a ray of sunshine. I cant wait to meet her once I get out of quarantine. I definitely would be back and would recommend friends to stay here. For the two excellent staff, Amos and Ivy, I hope you get recognize for the 5 star hospitality you show.

|7.76km from city centerextremely dirty and dingy-we changed the room 3 times. Apparently the other rooms hadn't been cleaned yet. Totally shabby, uncomfortable. 2 towels in the bathroom, asked 3x for more towels, then we should pay for them! Basically, the pool is nice, the loungers are scruffy and the cushions are dirty. No service at the pool, neither towels nor drinks. Eating in the Skybar is an experience. We were the only guests. My food was cold. The waiter didn't want to believe me and only after a discussion did he serve me the food hot again. We waited over an hour for the empty plates to be cleared and for us to order something else to drink. The 2 waiters preferred to chat and smoke behind the counter. The breakfast is bad, the choice is absolutely small, carelessly - tables and chairs dirty. Both restaurants were also closed during our stay. How this hotel should have four stars is a mystery to us-never again!

|1.18km from city centerWe booked this hotel because of it's close proximity to the Sarawak General Hospital - a relative had a serious medical emergency, which meant alot of uncertainty and long waiting hours for us. Having a base at the Regatta Suites meant that we could be within walking distance to the hospital, but were still able to rest in comfort at the hotel while waiting for news from the hospital. The Regatta Suites is thoroughly and thoughtfully appointed - little things like the built in USB charging points made a huge difference for us indeed. The beds were big and comfortable with spotless fresh linen. The AC worked like a charm, even during the blazing hot afternoon. The staff were also very accommodating - they promptly and cheerfully brought up a set of fresh towels for us when we returned to our room after midnight. Even though we are from Kuching, we stayed for about 4 or 5 nights at the Regatta Suites, and it made a real difference to be able to be so close to the hospital during the critical moments. Thank you to all the staff for the comfortable stay! 🙏🏻

|2.62km from city centerPerhaps it was my luck, but the room I got was terrible. The first room had the faucet come off the wall!!! This in turn flooded the toilet which revealed more that I would have liked to see coming out from the drainage. My second room had a bad smell coming out of the bathroom. The bed was comfortable for a nights rest. This hotel is a walk away from the the waterfront and the closest mall is a 10 minute walk. The best things about this place was the price, but you could do better with the same price.

Staff friendly, bilik bersih cuma bilik kte org tu kecik la, sesuai utk 2 org jek.. Senang nk cari mkn.. Kira hotel ni kat tgh2 la.. Yg x best nya parking susah, siapa cepat dia dpt.. Pastu kalau lambat keluar, dapat la surat cinta dari perbandaran.. Tapi x mahal pon byr, RM5 jek.. So better kalau korg yg bwk keta tu, keluar pg2 seblom kol 9am utk elak dpt surat cinta.. x pon beli la kupon parking siap2 kat pondok dia tu.. Kat waterfront ada jual tapi waktu bekerja jek bukak.. If it wasn’t because of imperial hotel that was fully book during my time of stay i wouldn’t be choosing this apartment ever and also because due to my lack of research of other hotels as well I was actually looking for a hotel with swimming pool for kids to enjoy and spend their time with. Other hotel was way too expensive for only 2 nights stay.. However, this complaint is truly just on their service provided. Not on the facilities.. It is fully because they have the worst real estate agent to manage these service apartments. LUCO VISION SDN BHD (agent name: Lily).. First asking for RM200 deposit which I totally understand but later ask for RM30.80 “Service Charged” even after I fully paid my fee through Agoda. When I ask for explanation on what kind of service charged is charge, but they couldn’t explain further none other than just mentioning “this is management T&C”. Thereafter I call Agoda for further explanation on this service charged and it come to my surprised that even Agoda were not aware of such servicing fee being charged on client. How funny is that? Later then the agent say i must pay no matter what if i wish to continue my stay, i mean i have already fully paid to Agoda on my stay of RM494.60. And so called service fee that is chargeable, they can’t even explain it. By the way if you are curious why m i so furious on this service charged is because they can’t even give a brief explanation to what service charge m i paying, everything here is self check in and they have laundry machine in the apartment but it was lock because i have to pay extra to use it and worst still there’s no drinking water provided. Least of it, when i complaint to them through WhatsApp and demanded to have a number to call, agent refused to give a number. Stating that i can only contact them through WhatsApp. What kind of service is that?? I can’t even ask for a number or have a person to talk about on this issue?? So yeah, not to even mention when i ask for early check in of 30 minutes and they say it is also chargeable at an amount of RM150.00.. in addition to that there’s literally no front desk at the lobby and we can’t even go anywhere else because our luggage would eventually be unattended.. everything here is charges charges charges.. I really don’t like wasting my time giving complaint through online platform but this kind of service from these real estate agent or so called properties agent really giving me difficult sleeping time and future guest should deserve to know this kind of service from these people. I am not the only person giving complaint on Imperial Apartment already. I have live apartment at Penang and other places, their services was way more better than i could better explain in words.

The room has everything you can ask for, we were surprised by the choice offered for breakfast, however every hot items on offer was plain cold, which was a shame really. Staff was really helpful and nice, rooftop swimming pool nice, but it was impossible to use it on week end days as it was full of kids and families. For those reasons we chose to rate ”average” and also because the Wifi is limited or non existent.

It is just that most shops close very early Friendly staff as they will smile whenever you walk past them. Choose the river view if you want to have a nice view like mine but this means that it will be noisy at times, especially at night. The only bad thing about my room is the toilet flashing system is not strong. Breakfast was ok but very simple. It will be good if they can provide buffet style.

Arrived late, no staff around but they left instructions on how to get in etc. Hostel has a nice common area, but the rest of it is just a converted office block. Hostel was v quiet, not many guests, but it was January. My private room had no window, and on the first night the air con broke. Also it was not very clean with lots of long black hairs on the bed and floor. No staff around at night but was told via WhatsApp I could move to another room. This room was nicer with windows but the nearby bars had loud music playing all night and so I couldnt sleep. Aircon was never fixed. So 3 bad nights sleep. Breakfast was toast and hot drink, which was fine, although the butter was rancid. No staff around at checkout either so just left after speaking to the owner on the phone. I only saw a member of staff once for a few minutes over the 3 days. Open showers were nice, but toilets were quite often left dirty by other guests and not cleaned. I dont like leaving bad reviews but unfortunately I'm finding it hard to write any positives! Has potential, but falls a bit short at the moment :(
