All was as expected from online and other reviews. The view was beautiful, bathroom brand new, nice furnishing. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great with a huge selection to cater to everyone's preferences, really. Only downsides: poor internet connection in the room (we stayed to sit out a storm and had planned to work) and -as said in other reviews - the light walls (you do really hear your neighbours' every word).

Our air conditioning unit began to leak badly and the carpet floor was soaked. We were immediately offered another room. But the air conditioning unit was not working properly. This room had an area of mould around the bath & the tap was about to fall out of the wall. We were offered another room, this time with an upgrade to a junior suite, which had two rooms, but the following morning we realised that this too had a badly leaking air conditioning unit. The floor again was soaked. We improvised by soaking up as much water as possible with the bath towels, weary at the thought of changing rooms again, as we were only there for 5 days. At this point the wardrobe door almost came off in my hands. In the suite, which is for 4, we had two plastic cups & one tea bag! The staff, apart from one kind lady, were surly and un helpful. The pool area was uninviting and almost totally cornered off. There were very restrictive opening hours to the pool, which made in inaccessible for most of our stay. The breakfast was disappointing. The croissants were not fresh and the fruit salad came out of a tin. It was disappointing not to have orange juice, just a highly processed fruit tropical drink instead. The bonus of having a spa was irrelevant as the hotel charged a 15 euro entry fee for hotel guests. This was probably once a very nice hotel, but it seems that some serious investment is necessary. We travel frequently to this area but I am sorry to say that we will not be going back.

This B&B is about 10min drive from center La Spezia. Quiet location, free parking, simple but very clean rooms. We had 2 rooms with shared bathroom. Room was hot at night but we got a ventilator. Good location to visit Cinque Terre - very busy in July/Aug - however finding parking places is hard and expensive. However the best is the hospitality of Paola and Maurizio. Paola prepared each morning a fantastic breakfast and cooked a good dinner. Excellent service and very friendly. I strongly recommend this place.

This was a find. Panoramic views of sea, beach across street, wonderful breakfasts with everything you could want, pleasant hospitality. We had a renovated room on corner fourth floor. It was not large, but it was spacious enough to be comfortable. There was space for our belongings which included two large suitcases, an overnight case, etc. there were well placed hooks, clothes racks, and everything seemed to fall in place. The bath was totally updated and delightful and had a window! Good shower, hot water and very modern! Modern room too. Balcony facing sea, window darkening shades for sleep comfort. Everything well thought out. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Owner even offered son to drive us to ferry so that we wouldn’t lose two hours at our destination. The entire hotel is immaculate! Thanks for enjoyable stay.

Myself husband & my brother and my son came to Lerici for a family wedding. Lerici itself is just beautiful and this hotel is overlooking the bay. When we arrived we had some problem with our room but Gerry on reception sorted it all out quickly. He went to great lengths to sort out the problem and eventually upgraded us to another room. I can honestly say he was so professional and helpful and I loved his American accent and we really appreciated it The entire staff were excellent The breakfast was lovely and a wonderful selection to choose from. Sitting looking across the bay first thing in the morning at breakfast was a delightful start to the day. We absolutely recommend this hotel and it made our stay in Lerici a memory to cherish, well done Gerry & all your colleagues.

I recently stayed for a work trip. Even amongst these times, I’m never ceased to be amazed. The hotel was 10/10 as far as cleanliness. Sheets, linens, bathrooms public areas. All immaculate. The staff was very friendly, helpful and I could tell they spoke many languages. They were advising others on good nearby eating and sites to see. Felt very private and quiet. I would never guess this is a 2 star hotel. I’ve stayed at many 2 stars places, that you hope to never encounter, in your worst dreams. This place felt like you were staying at a 4/5 star hotel and I was definitely treated, that way. I am definitely looking forward to staying here again and I highly recommend it for a short weekend or a ten day holiday.

The hotel is about a quarter of an hour away from the train station. The train station can go to the Cinque Terre. We charter a car, which is more convenient. Although the hotel is down, unexpectedly the triple room is very large and clean. The price of one night stay is much cheaper than other places in Europe.

The location is very good. You can reach the food street by walking 500 meters, and you can see Nana steak at another intersection. I personally think it is great ~ There is a Japanese food in the food street—Sakura, lunch 12.5 euros / person, dinner 20 euros / person, ingredients fresh! And any point, there are Chinese people, very kind! Went for lunch at noon, the owner warmly taught us how to get in the car, great

The hotel is located on the edge of the yacht harbour and is a very clean hotel. The service staff's attitude is good and humorous. It is a bit far from the hotel to go to the Cinque Terre. You can choose to buy a scenic ticket to take the train, or you can buy a ticket at the pier. For my military enthusiasts, I was delighted to see that five Horizon-class air defense destroyers docked near the military port were visible from the hotel window. This was the best night in Italy for 15 days, on Easter night, seeing a group of Christians doing mass, dining at a restaurant opened by a local people near the hotel, very authentic Italian meals and red wine. The hotel bed has two data line interfaces without converters, which is very considerate.

GOOD: - The check-in system! We arrived super late (02h00) from Milan, and we had no worries! On the day before they sent us the code for the outside building door and a code for a lock where we would find our room key. - The room was spacious and with all the necessary amenities. The next morning, we asked for an iron and by the end of the day, it was in our room! - Breakfast! This was one of our concerns because we had read they didn't have much choice! First of all, you must understand that this is a BnB and not a hotel, but still, we were very pleased with the breakfast. Although it is mostly made up of sweets (it would be nice to have some bread) we cannot complain about the variety (milk, yogurt, coffee, fruit, cereals, toast, cakes, jams, etc). - The daily complimentary bottles of water in the fridge are a very nice touch! - Parking. We were able to park for free in the streets around the block from PM to AM, and during the day we would drive to the central train station and park the car there. We used EasyPark app to pay for the street parking, which enabled us to keep track of our parking costs and top up whenever necessary. - Market on the back of the building. BAD: - The curtains. They should definitely find a different system to block the light from entering the room. - Soundproofing. We could hear most of the noise coming from the street.

We didn’t realise it would just be in a regular building with no reception area etc. There was no email directly from the property explaining this or asking when we would arrive. So when we arrived there was no one to meet us and couldn’t get in. Also no one was answering the phone listed on the door. A few minutes later we did get a call back and the gentleman said he’d be there in 10 mins to help us. Luckily I had an Italian SIM card or we would’ve been stuffed. We had travelled all the way from Australia so this scenario was not ideal. Everything else was great so I would stay again. Make sure you contact the property and let them know your arrival time. Positives are that it’s very clean, new and quiet! Really enjoyed the bed and fuzzy blanket, I felt very cosy. I also enjoyed the in room coffee machine, water, tea kettle and biscuits. When we asked for the one queen bed to be separated into two singles it wasn’t a problem at all. The location in La Spezia was great! A five min walk to the station and a shorter walk to local shops and restaurants. La Spezia and this property were really great to stay at as the jumping point to visit Cinque Terre.

Practical Tips: You can take the elevator, don't pull the luggage down the steps! The hotel is just opposite the train station. The hotel brand can be seen from the main entrance of the station. The station square is so small that it feels 50 meters. Out of the right side of the station there is a glass room is the elevator, do not turn left! I chose to make a mistake, left to drag the suitcase and went down the stairs, my heart. When coming out of the hotel, the front desk pointed out to us where the elevator was. But I don’t know when I go. The room is the level of the guest house. It is good to make a living. It is close to the train station, convenient for a car, and it will take a few minutes to save time.

Very close to the train station, not far away, if it is smooth, it will arrive in 10 minutes (because you still need to find a way, google can navigate), if you are already familiar, you can basically reach the train station within 5 minutes. The facade is a bit small, but the restaurant is very large, and the number of rooms is also very large. Although the whole room is somewhat old, it is clean and comfortable, and it is a very large-scale hotel. The hotel is located in the big market and in the corner of the alley is the "Chongqing Impression" Chinese restaurant, very convenient. Breakfast is OK, you can use it yourself, it is a good choice for travelers who want to eat enough. This home is worth recommending. I will come back next time. Responsibility Assessment Chiu

The Cinque Terre tour chose to live near the La Spezia train station. I found this place. Actually, it is really close to the train station. It is about 100 meters to the left of the train station and across the road. It's really convenient. If you arrive at noon, you can check in with your room in advance, and you can go to the Cinque Terre to play with your luggage. The size of the hotel is small, and it is not bad to have an elevator although the elevator is very small. The breakfast is simpler, and the general sanitation is good. The room booked for 3 people is actually a small suite, and the small bed is a sofa bed.

Five-night stay for a couple. Good: - Location: Perfect for visitors who want to use La Spezia as a jump-off point for visiting Cinque Terre, Portovenere, Portofino, or even some towns in Tuscany such as Lucca and Pisa. Train station is only a 3 minute walk away; bus station is 5 minutes away. Trains to Cinque Terre come very frequently. - Service: Staff do everything in their power to ensure that guests have a comfortable stay. Hotel website claims to have a limited hour front desk, but there was actually someone at the front desk for 24 hours when we visited. - Accessibility: Hotel seems to be relatively accessible with an elevator and showers - Cleanliness: Some reviews mention that the rooms are not well maintained or cleaned; this was not our experience. Our room was very clean. Bad: - Comfort: Beds were uncomfortable. No basic amenities (iron/ironing board). Breakfast was not very good – mostly croissants and desserts, nothing of nutritional value. Overall: This is not a good location for you if you would like a romantic getaway or a luxury stay. For all other travelers, especially those on a budget, this is a very good option.

We stayed here from 13 untill 17 August and loved every minute. If you arrive outside the provided check-in hours, just warn the owner in advance and he will welcome you with a smile! Upon arrival, the owner - Sergio - was very helpful and gave us a lot of advice (how and what to visit in the area, restaurants etc). If you have questions, you can always text or phone him! Even though the building is old (which may result in Some odd noises at night), the room was very nice (clean, spacious, wifi, airco). Housekeeping every day (fresh towels and turnover). Parking is possible in the streets (blue lines if possible) or in a public garage at 10min walking from the hotel. My wife had made the booking as a base to visit 5 Terre. When I checked TripAdvisor the day before our visit, I was surprised to see it was one star. The reservation had made based on reviews and convenience as well as personality (avoiding box standard hotels) and had missed the star rating of the property. Having visited pretty much every corner of Italy with my Italian wife and two kids, we had always stuck to three or four star hotels, which had been very decent for short breaks. So we were concerned as to what a one star would offer. There was no need for concern. The villa is family owned with rooms purpose built away from the family living area. The breakfast was one of the best we have had in Italy, with warm fresh croissants, hard boiled eggs and many other home made goodies. The pool was enjoyed by the kids and was cleaned every evening. The staff were very friendly and there was even four bottles of chilled water waiting in the fridge for us after a long day of visiting every town in 5 Terre. This property should not be a one star in our opinion and is comparable (if not better) to many three star properties we have stayed at in Italy. Perhaps it’s the lack of room service or restaurant that impacts the ratings(?) There is a large naval base which we personally enjoyed the views of (no noise from it all). Especially as the property is elevated and provides nice panoramic views. I was also concerned by some reviews that mentioned traffic noise; whilst there are two roads sandwiching the property, we were not disturbed by any noise. All in all a very enjoyable stay with convenient parking on the road (parking is a bit of a challenge in the town!)

The suite on offer was spacious and well appointed, tho at times it seemed almost too modern (there were no analog switches anywhere and most of the digital touch panels were fidgety), auto lights had a bad habit of switching off at odd intervals and for no reason. Bathroom fixtures were shiny but wobbly lending to an overall sense of cheapness and "trying too hard". Beddings however were comfortable and everything was clean. Location is also nowhere near the central station, a 15 minute brisk walk (closer to 30 with a little-one in tow), easier to take the local bus. What turned the property from fancy but far, decidedly to the negative, was the careless cleaning staff, who overturned our neatly-organized luggage, causing a huge mess and necessitating a full re-pack. Worse, some of our disheveled belongings were actually damaged by the way they were handled, and now need to be replaced. If you're in La Spezia as a launching point to Cinque Terre, aim for something closer to the train station, perhaps a professionally-managed hotel with trained staff who know how to treat guest belongings.
