During the Oktoberfest Munich, I searched a large number of Samsung four-star hotels. This one can be said to be the most cost-effective, and it did not disappoint me. The breakfast was very rich and delicious. I had not booked breakfast before, and I paid 18 euros for breakfast directly at the restaurant. Booked a triple room, gave a suite, added a sofa bed, the room was large and clean. The living room can lay down three 28-inch boxes. The toilet is separate from the bathroom. The bathroom has 2 showers and 2 sinks, and 3 people can make up together. Haha (ಡ ω ಡ) hiahiahia. Free 2 dried fruit snacks at check-in ~ There is a small bar on the first floor, which is very lively every night ~ Excellent location, you can take tram T19 at the platform within 100 meters. This line is very convenient. It is 20 minutes (with walking) to Teresion Lawn (Oktoberfest greenhouse), and you can also reach the old town on this line Leah Square English Park and other famous attractions as well as the train station are within 10-20 minutes' drive. The first floor of the Electric City next door to the hotel is the dm supermarket. There is also a large supermarket that is full of food. I bought Nissin instant noodles and sushi. The little brother at the front desk wore Bavarian national costumes, plaid shirts and leather shorts, which was very suitable. The little brother peter was very warm. These days are a perfect experience ~

It’s a familiar story, the part of the city with the abandoned clubs starts housing a new creative side. Soon it’s filled with every conceivable form of expression. From new cuisine, and drinks to music and art. Moxy Ostbahnhof is located right in the action of the new Werksviertel. The city’s most upcoming neighborhood, and all its start-ups to hype the area. An exceptional nightlife is just outside your door – ancestral and spick-and-span. But why go outside when you have a funhunter crew ready to play #atthemoxy? At night, make the bar your dance floor and the grab’n go your energizer. The cushy bed and 42” flat screen TV in your room will take care of the “rest”. Our multi lingual colleagues will show you the way wherever the question leads but it may cost you a little soccer challenge to get the answer. 24/7 is our credo therefore be prepared that Moxy Ostbahnhof never sleeps!

Motel One has really good quality beds, and I probably had the best rest on it that I had had in weeks. Everything feels very stylish, and the room itself had a very nice shower to offer and a suitable toilet. The Wi-fi is free and much faster than at most hotels, I find, making this hotel a great place for a one night stay.

This hotel is located quite well if arriving to Munich by air as the metro is conveniently close. It is in a quiter part of Munich and a brisk 20 minutes walk to the centre of Munich. Very friendly staff, good choice of healthy breakfast options. Clean and quiet. However, beware> the shower doors are not always operating very smoothly; I got locked in and it took me over 90minutes to get myself out - there is no panic button in the shower and no one heard my calls for help (no one is expected to take their cell phones into the shower are they?). Hoping that the next I come back the alarm buttons will be installed in the bathrooms/ showers.

I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Aurbacher in Munich. My hotel room was small and basic but exactly what I was hoping for as it was very good price. The bed was clean and comfortable and the wifi was very fast. Bathroom was small but had everything you need. The hotel is about a 30 minute walk away from Munich city centre (Marienplatz) but it’s a short walk (less than 10 minutes) to Rosenheimer Platz station which had very frequent trains going in to the city at all times. I would not hesitate to stay here again if I return to Munich!

The family owned Hotel Westside 30 minutes from the beautiful Munich,is a Bert nice experience. The breakfast has everything you would ask for and everything beyond, if you just ask. The surroundings are typically German villas, and you have walking distance to at least two supermarkets. There are several “Biergarten” close by if you don’t feel like going into the city centre for a meal, just ask at the reception and they’ll help you. Rooms are clean, spacious and quiet. The service is excellent, we even got a free ride to where we were supposed to work these two days, just 10 minutes away - but still! I will definitely stay at Hotel Westside again, next time I’m in Munich.

I must say this was perfect for a family of three as we had the the room on the other side of the hall it was easy for get rest without any issues. Hotel was clean, easy to find and friendly. Breakfast was really good, lots of choice with coffee. Lots of Bread Fruit Yoghurt Cheese variety of Meat variety of Tomatoes Vegetables fresh Juice Cereals Etc. More than enough to fill you for the day. Only little negative is that coffee is not offered in the room. But this is normal in Germany.

It's very difficult to award a score to Hotel Mariahilf. Many (most) things about it are excellent. Its pleasant location is very good; it is near the river and a short walk from the Rosenheimer Platz station. Despite being in a room in the front of the hotel, we found it quiet. The breakfast was wonderful - eggs cooked to order, plenty of choice from different breads, cut meats, fish, cheeses, salad, fresh fruit, yoghurt etc. It is a family-run hotel and the staff are absolutely lovely. Given that the hotel is the result of the conversion of one of those fine older houses that typify Munich, some parts of the building work better than others. The breakfast room is very cramped and guests are advised to try to avoid peak times. The front entrance, in Lilienstrasse, is virtually useless, as it opens straight into the breakfast room and in any case reception is at the back, accessed from Samtstrasse, which is really the best way in. We can't speak for the other rooms, but the room we had (14) was rather cramped; certainly the TV couldn't be seen from one of the two beds. The two upright chairs were in the way wherever you put them. The beds, however, were reasonably comfortable. The big problem was the tiny bathroom. There was not enough room around the WC, but the worst thing was the lack of proper lighting. It seemed to us the solution was a new bulb (there looked as if there should be two in the fitting), but apparently this could not be done. It was very difficult to shave as a result. The shower cubicle is very dark indeed. And it would be nice if the plug in the washbasin popped up when required. Probably other rooms are better; I suggest guests avoid booking Room 14.

This hotel/restaurant is located off the autobahn on a lake. Despite its closeness to the autobahn, it is rather quiet. The weather was beautiful, so all the locals were enjoying the lake and the woods around the property...quite tranquil. The complementary breakfast was delicious and had quite a variety; from meets, cheeses, eggs, juice, teas & coffee. I would Definately recommend.

Perfection is something quite subjective, but the Marias Platzl delivers on what it promises; a small, cozy hotel, decorated in an eclectic Bavarian style, with phenomenal staff to make things just right. If you're looking for a hotel with character, that will make you feel as if you were staying at a beautiful house with family, find little details every day that makes you smile -an anthology of Goethe's work in the room, for example- and makes you think you're staying at a home and not at an hotel, well, this is the place for you. On the other hand, if you want a Westin vibe, stay away because this is not -thankfully- that. The location couldn't be better. It is situated in a nice neighborhood, within walking distance of the center, or two or three bus stops (52 and 62). The Au is a lovely zone to walk and get a feel of living in Munich like a local. The room was BEAUTIFUL. I read some reviews of people complaining about the "weird look" of the rooms. People who are not open to see things from a different perspective, or have an open mind and appreciate the intent behind the design of a room, should refrain from critiquing what they can't understand. That's all I have to say about that. Yes, you'll find details that need some acre -scrapes here and there, a wall that needs a new coat of paint, etc.- but this is a hotel, people stay here, with luggage, and judging based on that is unfair. Truth is, the room was IMPECCABLY clean, and I would venture to say it is the cleanest room I've ever stayed on -and I've stayed at pretty good places, pardon my brag. Bed is comfortable. The shower is great. The amenities are cool. You'll get the basics more than covered here. Excellent parking area, which for me was a must. Price per night is good, considering you get access to a covered garage. And the people working at this hotel... Simply fantastic. I was never met with a long or serious face. I was always greeted. Front desk, restaurant, even the man who showed up to do the room cleaning when I was leaving one day had an infectious smile and a happy disposition to do his work and cater to my needs. I rarely leave reviews, but Marias Platzl deserves one... A great one. And here it is: this is the perfect hotel in Munich.

Unfortunately Google Maps led us on a wild goose chase to reach the hotel from our arrival at the airport at night, which made us fear this was a hotel out in the middle of nowhere with serious travel hassle to get into town.... to our relief in daylight and a chat with the helpful reception team, I'm glad to say this is not the case! On our first morning after arrival we discovered the fantastic Munich public transport tram service that had a tram leave from outside the hotel every 10 mins to connect you to the (extreemly) prompt tube system about 5 minutes away that took you right into the centre of town. This is a newly accquired hotel for Premier Inn with the unusual placing of reception on the 6th floor, but it's a quirk you easily get used to. The hotel is tastfully decorated throughout, in a quite area of the suburbs, with a few nice nearby eating establishments of various pricing and a bakery and supermarket in the same block. WE will definately be returning here for our next Munich trip

To be honest, the hotel was quite disappointing. It started good, with a very attentive email of one of the receptionists. We were also lucky to be able to park in front of the hotel and got a park license, which is cheaper than the garage. The breakfast is good, as is the WiFi. But when we arrived, the receptionist was not very friendly and very short in answering. Our room was small, also because of the sloping wall. I requested a room with a bath, but we found out after a couple of hours that we got one with the shower. They did transfer us the next day, though. There are quite some inconveniences in the room. - In one of the rooms the bathroom was part of the room itself (seriously?? who wants that), in the other room the toilet was included in the bathroom, which we never really like. - Several parts were loose, like the water tap and the soap dispenser. - The floors are very cold, also including the one in the bathroom. - In the second room the bed was squeaking a lot, with every turn I woke up my partner. - The lights in de rooms are really cold and unromantic. - The music In the bar was horrible (aggressive rap music) - The location is not very convenient, public transport is quite a walk and there aren’t many restaurants around. - Pillows were aweful, but that's I think always a problem in hotels. I read the hotel is relatively new...well....not really comportably designed and already quite some stuff broken...

We stayed at the beautiful Hotel Olympic in December 2019. It is a small, cozy, bed and breakfast with the most excellent and friendly staff! Our stay was made extra special by Andreas (at the front desk). Andreas was extremely welcoming, and told us all about the wonderful neighborhood...including a recommendation of a walking tour. He was extremely knowledgable, friendly, and kind. The hotel has an art exhibit throughout that they change every month or two. The room we were in was beautiful, with a balcony into the courtyard, it was spotlessly clean and well equipped. Breakfast was wonderful with local, organic foods, and Andreas explained to us what everything was and where it had been procured. He also came around, personally, to make sure we were happy and brought us fresh pretzels...this was after he escorted us to the beautiful table with a couch and window into the courtyard. The location was perfect for walking to the Viktualienmarkt and to Marienplatz as well as other central old town sites. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Munich.

We were a group of 6 (including 2 teens and 2 kids) and stayed in a 6beds room. The room was slightly small for all of us, but we couldn’t complain as the price was great. The tram stop is just across the road and it runs very frequently. The reception it is open 24 hours and the keep serving drinks even after the bar is closed. There’s a fully equipped kitchen for the guests to use (the guests should also clean what they use, but it doesn’t always happen). Overall we had a great experience and would recommend it to any type of guests (youngsters or families with children).

In good faith and with the joyful expectation of a long awaited family vacation we made plans back in early February to stay at the Hotel Exquisit for the final night of a family trip on September 20.  At the time of our booking, we paid $1,179 in good faith using the “non-refundable” price (which saved us maybe $150 at the time). Unfortunately, due to the Coronavirus, the German government prohibited our entry as US citizens into the country and all of our flights were canceled making our stay impossible. After working with Hotels.com and calling and emailing the hotel directly multiple times over the course of several months, the hotel has REFUSED TO work with us or REFUND ANY PORTION of our payment. We have been told that our request hdd been passed on to the hotel’s managers, Maria Sperger-Bolla and Ivan Bolla, but they have failed to ever respond to us. Out of the 50 reservations that we have had to adjust this year, the Hotel Exquisit is the ONLY one that has refused any type of refund or response due to COVID cancellations. We may never be able to go to Munich, but if we ever do get the opportunity WE WILL DEFINITELY NOT stay at the Hotel Exquisit and we recommend that you don’t either. Their example is NOT an “Exquisit” experience in any way other than a disappointing one. Support businesses with integrity instead.

We didn't realise the hotel was only 3 months old and everything was very new and exceedingly clean. The room a little small but perfectly fine for myself and sister to stay for 3 nights. The owner and his staff couldn't have been more helpful. We booked a pickup from and to the airport which was excellent value and given details all the way there and back on Munich's landmarks and customs, etc. The hotel was only 3 mins walk from the station and whilst they do not have food in the hotel they have a full kitchen area with vending machine and facilities to even cook something. Never seen before. Fabulous. The bakery across the road excellent for breakfast and Italian restaurant very good too. Perfect area and only 15 mins on the train to Central city. A fantastic hotel and will certainly stay there again on any return to Munich.

Located near an U-Bahn station, only a few rides away from the city center. Fair size bathroom compared to the room size. Offer luggage storage if you arrive earlier than check-in. Decent Wi-Fi. Free water bottle in the room. Small safe in the room. The hotel really lives up to it's name - the room is S-M-A-L-L. 2 people and 2 suitcases and you basically don't have any maneuver space left in the room. Currently a big construction is going on just next to the hotel and they start hammering around 7AM until around 5PM - if you like your mid-day nap - no chance. Cleaning could be better, especially behind the curtains and the side tables and they bed felt a bit damp and the pillows didn't smell fresh. No closet or shelves of any kind - just a few hangers on the wall. Our room was on the ground floor, so we could smell every smoker near the entrance - no way you can close the room door (leading to the courtyard since then you have no air in the room (no AC or fan). For the price of 140 EUR for 1 night I did feel I over paid.

We stayed at the Hotel Prinz in October, as we couldn’t praise the place enough. The staff we beyond friendly, always happy to help and offer suggestions on the location and Munich as a city. We have family in Munich so know the city pretty well, but even for us they helped us discover some hidden gems. We stayed for our wedding anniversary and booked a premium room, and whilst yes, people are correct to state no WiFi, there were plenty of windows in the room to allow a good breeze and altogether we found our room to be spacious and comfortable! Again thank you so much to everyone at the hotel, and I’m sure we will visit you again.

Looking back through reviews, I can't believe we never did one for this (trip was actually May 2019) For starters this is very much a no frills, locally owned business and must be judged as such. When it comes to location the Hotel Uhland is hard to beat. It is very close to the main station and has a couple of nearby local stations. It is also a pleasant walk to the Marienplatz area and is literally steps away from the Oktoberfest location (Theresienwiese). Breakfasts have a very good selection that was more than enough to satisfy all of our family (loved the mini Nutella!) Our room was a large 2-bedroom unit with a small kitchen that allowed us to do some grocery shopping and be able to keep leftovers or easily grab and keep food for later. Everything was clean and well kept, with both rooms having tons of storage. The staff were friendly and helpful, keeping our luggage on our early arrival and helping us arrange transport back tot he airport for our flight to Italy. Overall it was a very nice stay and we would not hesitate to stay here again upon our return to Munich.

We were a family of 11ppl taking up 4 rooms in early August. The rooms were spacious, nicely decorated, functionally well equipped, clean and tidy, it was just almost perfect. The continental breakfast buffet was nice, with a wide and impressive selection of bread and tea. They have paid special attention in selecting natural and bio products to put on the table. There was even weißwurst every morning. The breakfast was adequate in itself, but if a few more hot dishes were added, such as mushrooms or bacons, it would be just perfect. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had very positive experience with a young lady at the reception who told us she started her job just a day before we came, and she recommended a very good restaurant downtown giving precise directions to allow us locate it with no effort. The housekeeping lady with a broad smile who had catered for all my needs and requirements without me knowing whether she actually understood English, but she had always assured me with “yes” and “ok” without further ado. Last but not least, a night shift staff at the counter with a cool face. He helped solve the most annoying problem of our TV, which I am about to explain. There was a big flat-screen TV in every room we stayed. On the second evening, I turned it on and after making a few choices of channels, the TV was hung, there was absolutely no response to any button. The on-off button could not turn off the screen completely and there was no power-off. I couldn’t find the power cable connection either, presumably it’s concealed. As a result, there was an eternal light shining upon us when everywhere else blacked out. I went down to the reception to ask for help, as there was no phone in the room. The guy tried to re-set it for me at the counter, that’s what he told me, but it didn’t work. Eventually he had to come up to the room to check, and then re-set it on the floor level. The TV was finally off near mid-night. All the 3 rooms on the same floor had the same problem. My family told me the screen finally turned off “by itself” near mid-night. The following evening the same thing happened. This time, after maneuvering with the remote control the TV power miraculously turned off. For the rest of my stay I didn’t touch that TV again. I just didn’t want to go down to the reception late at night. We stayed for 6 nights and returned home satisfied. Then a week later I got EUR24.90 deducted directly from my credit card. I didn’t pay attention to it. Another week passed and another deduction of the same amount. This time I checked. The hotel had deducted twice for 2 bottles of water presumably taken by us. The glass bottle was cute, but why would anyone want to take a glass bottle to travel with? And why 2 deductions a week apart? It would easily go unnoticed had it not for a currency that I don’t normally use. If I had not checked, would it not affirm their presumption? I must say they were responsive to my subsequent enquiry and quick

We stayed here for a few nights in February 2019. We returned to Munich in February 2020, and we were fortunate enough to return to Hotel Krone for one night. Of all the hotels we've stayed in in Munich, this is by far our favorite. We appreciate the unique, classy feel of the hotel. We also appreciate the front desk's help with any questions, recommendations, and most importantly making us feel welcomed. The front desk manager (unsure of his actual title) is always there to greet you with a smile and help make your stay as pleasant as possible. We also appreciate the location of the hotel. The area is relatively quiet, but also very close to plenty of dining and shopping options in Munich. Plus, the train is not a terribly far walk. The hotel has always been quiet, and the rooms are comfortable. We definitely prefer this property compared to the cookie-cutter commercial hotel chains. It definitely makes our Munich experience that much more memorable. We hope to return in February 2021.

A truly wonderful hotel. Everything was amazing, this is one of the best hotel in Bavaria. I booked the hotel on line after having been in touch with one of the receptionists by phone. The communication was outstanding, I felt I got all the information I needed during the booking process. The staff was helpful and friendly. I arrived early in the morning coming from the airport and I went to the city for two meetings. I got a nice cup of coffee, they offered to take my luggage to the room once that was ready and I was offered an upgraded room with a park view. Breakfast was one of the best I've ever had. The fitness facilities are state of the art, the hotel is connected to a proper gym/fitness club in Munich. The room was beautifully and tastefully decorated. I had an early start after two nights of staying at Rothof and I was welcomed and greeted in the morning by yet another friendly member of staff who made me a cup of coffee and made sure I didn't leave without my take away breakfast. Great experience, thanks again!

My boyfriend and I recently stayed at this hotel while we were in Munich to see the Christmas markets. The hotel's very convenient to the train station -- it's an easy walk of a mile or so. It's also convenient to the Christmas markets; the few stalls at Senlinger Tor are very close, and it doesn't take long to get to the markets at Marienplatz. The hotel is very modern and clean. Bedrooms seem to be on the smallish side; there's not a lot of room to maneuver around the bed(s). But bathrooms are a decent size. We didn't try the breakfast, which seemed rather expensive (19 Euro per person!). But there are many restaurants and stores nearby where you can purchase food. All rooms are several floors up (the lobby is up a flight from the ground floor, and guest rooms start on the floor above that), so there's virtually no street noise even though the hotel's located in a fairly busy pedestrian area.

Ours was a two week stay. The apartments are spacious enough and other than the shower temperature driving us crazy, it was great. The area is nice and quiet and it is easy to grab the bus and subway to anywhere we wanted to go and the transportation ticket was available to purchase at the reception. There are many restaurants around and three supermarkets within walking distance to choose from. Washers and dryers are available in the basement and you can buy the capsules from the reception. Parking was easy access. Housekeeping was good but what made our stay excellent were the lovely ladies at the reception. I cannot praise their attentiveness enough. They answered all our questions, provided any help we required and were unbelievably courteous. Nothing was too much to ask. Dana, thank you for your serenity and patience. Serena, you were unbelievably helpful and sweet, and thanks again for changing the language in our car. Duaa, thanks for your kindness and great chats. And last but in no way least, Sammy, you were absolutely terrific. Your welcome, your help, your advice and your cheeriness are a rare find. You went above and beyond. Say hi to Coco for us. We miss you already. Ladies you made it feel like home. Safe and warm. Every time we walked through the door you made us feel incredibly welcome. We are so grateful and my children were so sad to leave. If you want to visit Munich, this is the place to stay, hands down. Natalie

Arrived in Munich by air for a long weekend, S Bahn Station at the airport, S8 to Marienplatz (35 mins and €11 ish).. Walk out of Marienplatz and the k two lifts or stairs and was welcomed with an easy check-in process and offered a welcome drink. Our room was on the 3rd floor and was perfect for our needs. The mattress /bed is on a small platform which is quite low so my partner found it a little difficult to get in and out of but that's an age and injury thing... I'm sure if we had or felt we needed to mention it at the time the hotel would of helped as everyone we met from the hotel were very helpful. The hotel is modern and offers lots of little 'quirks' that we both said "that's a good idea", simple things like a shopping bag in the room that's free to use while you stay, it can be purchased but it's free to use. Music in the bathroom with volume control, a on the house leaving drink on our last night delivered with an ice bucket. Normal toiletries in the bathroom (lovely smelling hand, body, hair and face wash), a durex too... How thoughtful 😂 Plenty of plug sockets, tv, safe, open wardrobe, still and sparkling water replaced daily and room cleaned each day. There are no Tea or Coffee making facilities in the room but the hotel offer this in the bar without fee. We didn't try the breakfast as we like to eat out and about. Outside you are literally 2 mins walk from Marienplatz there is a taxi rank there and there are lots of bars, supermarkets, chemist's and restaurants in each direction within a minutes walk so it's a perfect location for being in the center of things and getting about. Obviously that means there is a potential for road, business, church bells and reveller noise outside.... That's not the hotels fault, should be expected and ear plugs are a good idea. We travel alot to new places so may not return to Munich but if we did we would definatley return to this hotel and would recommend it to anyone.

Brand new, clean hotel with comfortable beds and awesome disco theme for bargain prices of only 50 euro a night. Friendly staff. They have a huge underground parking for only 10 euro/day, but you can also park for a few euro at the nearby P+R. Hotel is close to the highway, outside the Umweltzone and therefore conveniently located for those who don't want to be in the busy center. However, subway station Studentenplatz is only 5min walking away and in another 15 minutes with the subway you can be at Marienplatz. Didn't have breakfast there (due to covid they provide breakfast-boxes now) but went to a nearby bakery (15min walking). I had a good stay for a citytrip there and would recommend the 'niu loco' to everyone.

Goods: Hotel is new and everything works. Bed is good. Breakfast is buffet style (with COVID-19 measures) and very good. Coffee and tea station accessible 24 hours is a very nice plus. Staff is very polite. Bad: immediate location is quite ugly and offers no views. You WILL have to walk quite a bit to get to city center, as the immediate neighborhood has not much to see and do. There is a subway station right on the corner (about 100m away) if you mind walking. They have horrible, flimsy pillows. Even after getting two extra pillows (for the 2 of us), it felt wrong and offered no support. (Bad pillows seem to be a German tradition :-( The rooms are practical but a bit too small. From “ArtHotel” there is nothing to see. It is modern, but there is nothing artsy or boutique like to explain its name. The A/C, seems to work (it turns on), but it mostly only makes noise. Basically, regardless of how low you set the temperature, it just lowers the temperature about 1 or 2 degrees. It is certainly tempered with (again, a German tradition, in order to save money at the cost of their guests comfort). We had a great rate, and because of that we would even stay here again, but if we find a similar rate at a location closer to the old town (city center), we would stay somewhere else.

Directly opposite the train station, it is very convenient, diagonally opposite is Sofitel. Very comfortable and quiet hotel, handsome guys at the front desk, very nice. The room is not bad, the hotel can give the child an extra bed free of charge. Breakfast is also very rich, the hotel restaurant is not open at noon, at 11 o'clock in the evening, Munich is still at 10 o'clock in the daytime, eating is too late, the meal is not expensive, it is much better than the Paulina on the edge of the hotel. The price is also reasonable. It is very convenient to go out.

We stayed here during the Christmas Markets. It was an easy walk from the Salingertor Station (be sure to use the correct exit which has an up escalator but no down escalator). There is a lot of construction in the area and heavy traffic,so exiting on the correct exit is a must! Coming from the airport with luggage, exit the metro car at Marinplatz and change lines to one going to Salinger Tor station. It is an easy walk with no luggage but with luggage and the crowds at the market, we decided to change lines. The check in was easy and friendly. Our prepaid reservation was without breakfast but they did have it available as well as a nice small bar. The elevator is very small but it held both of us and our luggage which is very small. The room was filled with charming antique furniture so if you want new and matching, this is not for you. The room was clean and the linens were nice. Our only complaint was the soap/body wash/shampoo was limited. We asked for more and received it with no problem. The gentleman at the front desk remembered our name and room number each time we saw him, even when we checked out for a few days and returned for a second stay. It is close to everything but away from the craziness.
