If you are interested in good quality seafood on Phuket try baan lamai resort right across from PATONG BEACH and next to Holiday inn resort. Ask for Anil and a discount. Its worth bargain. We had fish and crab for 950 TBT. And in the end ask for mango sticky rice. One of the best in town.

Originally we were booked to stay for 4 nights, however the hotel we were in (Chaweng) was hideous to say the least. Aumpai were happy to take us a day early. We were greeted by Nok at reception who was lovely and spoke reasonable english. Check in was a simple process and we were lead to our pool view room. Out front of our room was a large balcony / outdoor area. The tiles felt really clean underfoot and there was a large table, two chairs and a clothes rack (would easily hold a half load of washing). I cannot begin to express how clean the room was! I suspect we could have eaten off the floor. The room was much larger than expected with a big bed (a little too firm for our liking but the linen was very clean) and a massive window that again was spotless - if it was a glass door you would have walked into it every time. There were also two large chairs to sit on. The flat screen TV was more than big enough, however there was only one movie channel (HBO) which showed movies that were on repeat mode every two days. The bathroom was also very clean, with a defined shower area, vanity with a large sink and a toilet that came with a small table. At the rear was an enormous kitchen, providing a lot of bench space and storage. Given it's size you would expect a hot plate or an electric frypan, sadly though there was only a microwave, tea/coffee facilities and a couple of plates & basic cutlery. We did find out later that you can borrow an electric frypan from reception for a small deposit. We also noted that no dish liquid, sponges or tea towels were provided so there is no way to clean up after yourself (something that we pride ourselves on). All the staff were lovely. The cleaners did an awesome job and weren't invasive at all. The location was great. A small walk down a side street and you are on the main strip of Lamai with bars & restaurants to choose from. There are food carts about 5 mins walk up the road that come to life in the evening which I strongly suggest you try. Though so close to everything, the hotel itself is quiet and peaceful. One of the restaurants nearby has a live band, but even with the TV off and no one around you could only barely hear it - with your door shut and in bed you couldn't hear it at all. Wifi dropped out a few times, but on the whole was good. The pool was great and big enough to do laps (if you're into that sort of thing while on holiday). There is no bar or restaurant on site, but with all the range on offer in the area it's not a problem. I would recommend this hotel to singles, couples, groups and families alike.

Staying in the same hotel for two consecutive years, the pool villa is very good, the room is big enough, the family is just right, the swimming pool is suitable for children to play, just like the picture. The entrance to the villa is the hotel swimming pool. The beach is a few steps away. The hotel environment is super good. Although the other room types are general, the overall is very good. The front desk speaks English, and there are also Chinese-speaking waiters. The service attitude is very good, always smiling, warm and thoughtful. There is a wide variety of breakfasts, just dine at the beach, the environment is very good, can be until 10:30. If you check out or wait for your stay, you can have a library with internet access, reading books, and snacks, especially attentive. Out of the hotel is the pedestrian street and eating stalls, eating a little expensive, know the road, walk for 10 minutes and there is a "Bu Feng Lotus" supermarket, you can buy things you want, seafood, vegetables, etc., I Also buy it and cook it yourself. The small convenience store is “the whole family” and is everywhere, so it is very convenient to eat and shop. Because I came to vacation, I have no problem in the hotel for a few days, I like this lazy feeling. I have been in the company for two consecutive years and have lived for two consecutive years. I will not go there for the time being. I will stay here next time.

This is our second stay at Magic Resort, we have travelled to Koh Samui seven times over the past seven years and Magic Resort is the only accomodation we have stayed twice at and we will return. The location is perfect right on Lamai Beach with no roads to cross, all the staff are very polite and go above and beyond to ensure your stay is memorable and treat you like family, they even prepare our sun bed with towels and an umbrella before we breakfast. We always have breakfast included with our accomodation and you have a choice of English, American or Asian breakfast, we have tried all three and the Asian breakfast is the best Congee ( rice soup ) with fresh fruit and coffee or tea. We buy Nescafé coffee sachets from the family mart a few doors down and ask for a cup of hot water for our morning coffee. You can do water activities and Mr Au has water craft you can hire and all are maintained in perfect running order. Magic also have their own massage hut on the beach. We have tried many restaurants in the local area, however, we find ourselves enjoying dinner at Magic we usually have a main dish each and share a garlic and butter rice with a bottle of water each for around 400 Baht. The rooms are basic but comfortable we would recommend an air conditioned room. Do yourself a favour and stay at Magic Resort.

The hotel’s accommodation conditions and services are quite good. It is a small and medium-sized hotel. The customer service is very enthusiastic. They will introduce the basic situation of the room and deal with everything in a timely manner. It is located in a commercial street with the beach behind the hotel. The hotel’s breakfast is rich and the price of paid meals is medium. Above level. The villa type rooms are not as big as they thought, and the price/performance ratio is relatively low. I personally feel that the price/performance ratio is better for the sea view and garden view. There is also no Chinese in the hotel service, but the full name is English.

Such a nice place! The most friendliest staff ever. The whole family is running this place and it feels. There is only 6 villas on the territory near Choeng mon beach. We had a lot of space as all villas are 1-bedroom and we felt very cool travelling with the child. There is one big swimming pool and villas are standing around it. Every day we got breakfast to our veranda, and there is a lot to choose from for breakfast. Fresh fruits every day. It is 5 minutes to the Choeng mon beach, the beach is nice, it has smooth white sand not like other beaches on Samui. I really recommend this place!

The price is very high, the room is big enough, I didn't expect two houses to be hotels. I didn't expect to live in a Frenchman downstairs and had a great time chatting with them. The best thing is that I am on the 3rd floor. I lived next door to a couple in the evening and could hear the sound of screaming...

We have had the best 8 days at this beautiful villa it’s just as described Were absolutely amazed about the family from India that left an awful review it was really uncalled for how they could actually be so petty and rude about this place and the wonderful hosts its laughable! This is a hillside rustic home that is home from home everything you need is here. You must enjoy a little nature that all I’d say. But that’s what Thailand is all about surely.... The host is a lovely lady that I would say couldn’t be aggressive towards a fly and Anny is just kind and so helpful tidying after us! We had use of mopeds a truck and got lifts if we wanted to drink on a night out. The beds were the best nights sleep any of us had had in a while it was just 10/10 all round for the most amazing family holiday we hope that anyone considering this villa ignores the arrogance of the one and only bad review it’s rubbish go for here you won’t regret it. We thank Janya (that’s the correct spelling of her name by the way) & Anny for making our 2nd week in koh Samui just perfect all the best Jay,Anne, David, Paige & Kenny xx

This is a must stay for all backpackers or travellers. CHEAP!!! michael and ane who run this place are awesome by the end of your trip youll have made awesome friends , the reception is also the bar so was awesome first impression to see everyone hanging out there, easy way to break the ice rooms were very clean with a nice toilet and shower, there is an outdoor pool and lounge area in the centre of all the rooms and dorms wich gives it like an american motel feel (in a good way) so makes for an awesome hangout. only ever spent few hours in the room to sleeo or shower apart from that was spent outside. they also have a menu for food to order, this is propper hot meals ranging from burgers to italian to thai food and it is deliverd to you (no kitchen on site but they have a partnership with another business) laundry service and motorbike rental along with ferry and boat bookings are also available on site. location wise its a 15 min ride to chaweng beach and just 3 mins to the big bhudda. its a 5 min walk to bangrak pier, so if your staying around the full moon time you can easily get a speed boat there and back.( thats what a group of us did) pretty sure i missed a few things out but this is a must stay for anyone visiting koh samui note: if you visit make sure you order a 'TK' at the bar ;)

The Lodge is a perfect getaway spot for couples looking for a simple but clean, small, family-run establishment. We had one of the “Pent Huts” on the second floor with a gorgeous sea view and plenty of space. The whole hotel only has eight rooms, so doesn’t feel crowded at all. The room was basic but very clean and comfortable. The hotel itself is situated right in the middle of the Fisherman’s village, so you have a wide range of restaurants and bars on your doorstep, plus it’s super easy to get to other parts of the island by taxi or if you hire a scooter. What sets The Lodge apart is the friendliness of the staff, who had memorised our drinks order within a couple of days and were always happy to go the extra mile. They do an excellent Mojito! The Lodge also serves food which I found to be of excellent quality. Try the chicken and cashew nuts stir fry - it’s delicious. The only negative points I could think of would be: - Some noise is inevitable because it’s right in the middle of the Fisherman’s Village and it directly overlooks the beach. If you need absolute silence to sleep, this place isn’t for you. - We caught the tail end of the wet season, so pretty much every morning there was a big storm. As a result the balcony gets very wet and sometimes if the winds are high, some water comes through the doors. This isn’t really something over which the hotel has any control but just worth noting. On the flip side, this means you have a ringside view for the incredible lightning storms coming in off the sea. If we return to Koh Samui we will definitely stay here again. It was amazing value for money and an overall great experience, in no small part due to the lovely people who run the place. Thank you!

Unfortunately forgot the host name, but the guy at the reception was very friendly and helpful. He is a lovely person. Thank you to always make smile on our faces :) Breakfast is made freshly however the portion is quite small. Was very close to the center and there is a 7/11 2min walk away (we checked :) ) The rooms in the bungalows are quite big as well, they always coming to clean. The swimming pool is huge, has an amazing view. The biggest problem is that the swimming pool is far up high on top of that hill, and the way is steep. However, as soon as you reach it the view is beautiful.

Thanks khun Mai who help me out for the translation and accompany me in yoga classes. I love The Vitamin Bar and The Love Kitchen where I can get good healthy foods and drink from. Thanks khun Lek, khun Bank & khun Ja for a lovely nice & warm services. It’s my first time for the colon hydrotherapy, so I feel a bit not confident. But I have khun Petch , the nurse who gives me a very warm knowledge about the therapy while I take it. Thank you so much! For Thai & aroma massage, khun Mam is a strong and friendly therapist. It’s so relax to do the Thai massage after the yoga class. The pick up airport by khun Cha is smoothly and happy along the way. He has a impressive smile too. Excellent value for money, located near the Fisherman village where there are many local and in the evening there is no lack of shows on the beach. Spent two weeks here in July while volunteering as a vet student in the local dog shelter. The shelter is a 15 mins walk away . The place is ran by a charming young Italian couple and a small few lovely local staff. The chef, Joe, gets a special mention cos he was just great. This place is amazing value for money. By far the cheapest we paid in Thailand and got a lovely double room with an ensuite. There is a great restaurant on site that does Thai food and unreal pizza. We were there for 2 weeks and tried other places in walking distance that were nice too (Mum a Roy's for eg.) when we needed a change. The owners provide everything, taxi cheaper than we could organise ourselves . Scooters or bikes if you want to rent them etc. There is an amazing beach about 7 min walk away. We spent many peaceful evenings on the terrace having beer and chats. For from the busy filth of Chaweng.

Stayed 3 nights, the hotel is a bit far from the central festival, but there is a shuttle bus to and from the hotel at 70 baht per person. Breakfast is okay, and everything is available, but the supplement is not particularly diligent. As a member, the child discounts over 400 baht per night to 240 baht, including breakfast, can make the sofa into a bed. Drinking water pipes are enough, so they can be sent without them. The beach is much better than the Ritz-Carlton, barefoot is fine. Turn right, there is a hotel supermarket pharmacy, 5 minutes walk there is a net red restaurant, very convenient. We live on New Year's Eve and there is a New Year dinner event. In short, it's a good hotel to spread the sun there.

Thailand's local high-end brands, in the middle of the law, the overall evaluation of four and a half. In fact, I would like to relax in the five-star hotel in the Banyan Tree in the past four seasons. However, the price of the National Day is too high. Secondly, the trip to the home is difficult to adjust. These five-star hotels are located in quiet and remote places, afraid of the elderly. I feel bored and dislike, personally feel that Banyan Tree is more suitable for couples to travel. The elders of the family need to be able to walk and go out to eat and shop for convenience and excitement, so I struggled for a long time and finally decided to live in the Chaweng Beach area. The room requirements are not high. After all, I will go out to play most of the time. It is really just a place to have a breakfast buffet in the morning, so as long as the cleanliness is not too cramped, there is a pool in the sea. This hotel meets all our requirements and is very cost effective. I have booked an ordinary garden area room for my old man. I need more space for two children and set up a family duplex room so that they sleep upstairs. I sleep downstairs and do not affect each other. The hotel's sea view suite area and common garden view room area are on both sides of the road. When crossing the road, there are guards to help ensure safety. There is a lot of price difference on both sides, so it is more cost-effective to cross the road:) The hotel breakfast is good, although it does not change every day, but it can still eat. Hotel hygiene cleaning may be more general, but not dirty. As soon as the island was supposed to be clean, it would not be a big deal. Secondly, it was a four-star hotel, and the demand could not be higher. There is a swimming pool in the garden area and the sea view area, which is quite convenient. However, the garden area is recommended to live on the second floor of the house. The first floor is easy to have night worms and more geckos. The location of the hotel is personally impeccable, with 7-11 or a family and pharmacy hotel within five minutes of walking. The recommended restaurant in the seafood "food stalls" is within 10 minutes walking distance from the hotel. There are small outlets across the food stalls, the Chinese street is turning, and there is another shopping center. In terms of service, I gave five points, which is really good. The elephant house in the visitor center at the front desk, the sailing boat and the atv three projects are also very satisfied, and the price is fair. In short, I personally think that this is a cost-effective, there are some, although not the most luxurious high-end, but the children feel that hateful is very good, I am happy.

As you approach the main building with Spiderman overlooking the car park, you might think "what on earth am I in for" but meeting the friendly staff and appreciating the beautiful ocean views while checking in, you realise that your stay won't be anything but life changing. The property is located on a quiet part of the island in Lipa Noi. It's a short drive from Nathon Pier but within walking distance, there isn't much to see. There is a Family Mart conveniently situated right across the road and a lovely deserted beach on the other side of the bay at Lipa Noi beach. The rooms, although basic, are spacious and located at the back of the property in a lush garden. If you like camping or the outdoors, you probably won't mind the gheckos and other insects in the room but the beautiful beach restaurant and gorgeous food made up for this. I would recommend the hotel to do a deep clean ever so often as we found some cobwebs within the folds of the curtains. But all aside, we had a nice stay.

The hotel is new and the location is good, 5-10 min walk from the beach and several restaurants. They have a nice swimming pool and nice staff too. However, lots of things are lacking to make this place really nice, maybe because they look new and are still adjusting. We booked the bedrooms (not dormitories), but: 1 there was no safe: we locked our money and passports in the luggage 2. there was not enough place to hang clothes and towels: there is no wardrobe, just a sort of stick between two walls with two hangers. We asked for more hangers, but we got none... We ended up buying ropes and more hangers. It is a beach place with a swimming pool, so clothes, swimming suits etc get wet! People from other bedrooms were hanging everything on the shrubs of the garden... 3. There is no beach/swimming pool towel 4. Few, very heavy swimming pool chairs 5. We got the bedroom next to the swimming pool, so we had noise from people drinking late in the night, and children screaming early in the morning 6. There is a glass window below the air conditioning, so the light goes straight to your eyes. We found cardboard and put there. Otherwise, bring your mask 7. Breakfast is really a poor and unhealthy, sort of English breakfast: white bread, egg (good thing…), sausages and ham of low quality, bacon sometimes beans, sometimes something green like spinach (also good), tea OR (bad) coffee OR (not fresh) orange juice. We bought fruit and yogurt to make it better… It is sort of different every day and it comes ready, so you can’t chose what eat and what not to eat, so lots of food are wasted (well, I am not sure those sausages and ham are considered food…). We think that they could have a list of options (including healthy food!) and we would made the combination…

Rich buffet served in the breakfast room and also there is a cook in the kitchen who can order for example omelette at that moment. I was quite worried before, Ctrip booking agoda had read all the reviews, and the reviews were very high, but they were basically a few years ago, plus the prices are cheap, I ’m afraid they are not good, and the results are very satisfactory! 1 Location A few years ago, the evaluation said that the inconvenience of the trip came to the hotel that found that the net red is just a few hundred meters away, and then it has developed in recent years. The surrounding 711 and the whole family, as well as the hotel are very convenient. It ’s lively (the New Year ’s day we go), it ’s not necessary to have a bar or something, like I ’m going on vacation with my parents, this is especially good! In addition, we all signed up for a day trip and a half-day trip. We all had cars to pick them up. We didn't find the road inconvenient. 2 Facilities The basic facilities are available. The swimming pool faces the sea and is beautiful! Although small, it is very suitable for people like us who swim casually hahaha! The only thing that didn't feel good was that the basic washing facilities and towels were not available, and the sprinkler output was small (fortunately we brought them), but there are kettles and large bath towels for you to go to their pools and private beaches. 3 Breakfast is not bad, milk, yogurt (yoghurt is delicious!) Oatmeal, bread, toast, fruit, drink, and any of the three main meals. If you want a rich breakfast, then ... … In addition, they also provide lunch and dinner services (of course for a fee), but it seems to close at 6pm. 4 Can add an extra bed. I brought my parents to play, just for an extra bed, an extra 450 baht (bed + breakfast) 5 There is a parking lot, and you can rent a motorcycle (it is said to be cheaper than renting outside, I did n’t rent it) 6 Service Great! Basically responsive! I went out for snorkeling that day, and my mom's cellphone fell into the house. I was afraid that someone who cleaned the room might have a problem (sorry, my fault, I shouldn't doubt them ~~), so I asked Ctrip customer service and asked the Thai people to call To the front desk. As a result, people said, rest assured, the mobile phone is on, I said, can I help you keep it, I just agreed! !! Summary A highly recommended resort! Stay here next time! High cost performance! !!

Lamai Beach
Well situated in Lamai, Hathai House is an excellent choice for those seeking a quiet and clean base of operations while staying in Lamai. The staff were always friendly and welcoming, happy for us to check out a bit late so we could get one final swim in - both at the nearby beach and in the (very) clean pool.

Nathon
It is very close to the port, the natural environment is very good, a variety of characteristic room types, swimming pools. . . Everything is perfect except that the surroundings are a little desolate. The boss also loaned us the BBQ stove to grill ourselves:)

Lamai Beach
Asian Secret Resort is a spectacular find. The best part of the resort are the owners, Paco, Juan and his wife Elina! They are so gracious, kind and accommodating. The resort is new, small (10 bungalows)and intimate. We stayed here 11 days while on Koh Samui. Enjoyed it tremendously. The made to order breakfast was a great way to start your day. Relaxing in the pool was a great way to end it. Easy walking to Lamai Beach and local restaurants. Paco and Juan are so helpful with recommendations for things to see and do. Will come back to on next trip to Koh Samui! Don’t hesitate to stay here!!

Mae Nam Beach
Very surprising small hotel, warm, comfortable and sanitary. The French owner and local waiter are very nice, 5 minutes walk to the beach, much quieter than Chaweng Beach. Our whole family loves this hotel and will stay here again if we have the opportunity.
