We’ve been staying at Debden for the past 6 weeks while our home is being repaired due to a flood. The room itself is very comfortable and modern and has a fridge and microwave which is big plus. The shower is very hit and miss and doesn’t work when someone else in the building is taking a shower at the same time as you. Also the water in the taps and toilet do not work when someone else is using the water at the same time as you. Never be in a hurry to shower as you could be completely covered in soap and then the water stops flowing leaving you standing freezing cold while you wait for the water to come back on again which can take quite a while depending on the person elsewhere in the building using the water at same time as you. You have to be very patient and wait for the other person in the building to finish showering before the water comes back out of the shower head again. The other big issue is the sheer volume of noise during the night. Mostly Debden rents rooms out to workmen who are working on local contracts. All night long they bang and crash about. They stomp up and down the stairs all night to use the upstairs bathroom talking loudly to their mates with doors open and on landings. They leave the front door on the catch all night which compromises the building security, so they can go in and out of the car park all night to smoke, drink and take drugs. Most of the workmen stay up all night talking, laughing and yelling loudly at the tops of their voices. I can honestly say hand on heart that we have not had a peaceful nights sleep in all our 6 weeks of staying here. The tiredness affects our mood and concentration at work the next day. You cannot even catch up on your sleep on your days off from work by having a lay in because the men are so noisy and are off to work early then the cleaners come in to clean up after them which naturally generates lots of morning noise. I actually feel really sorry for the cleaning ladies as they are both really lovely, helpful and friendly but the men leave the place in a terrible state. If it wasn’t for the convenience of staying close to our home and jobs I would definitely not choose to stay in such a noisy place full of disrespectful men. It’s a shame because it spoils what could be a really great and beautiful local boarding house.
I came to England to visit my daughter. I booked a couple nights at The Red Lion and found no reason to leave. I stayed for a week. A cozy warm inn that respects history. The Red Lion offers up wonderful food (dinner & breakfast) while surrounding you with kind staff. They look after you, make sure all is perfect and keep you safe. Billy was there to help if needed. Rob pours/pumps an amazing pint while easily putting one's mind to rest. David confidently provided suggestions. Nancy, took care of every detail with a smile & infectious laugh. She reacted to my requests without question and made me feel like I was part of their family. If there is a reason for you to go to Uxbridge, London, I highly recommend. Five stars.
We booked last minute after arriving late in the evening at Heathrow following a 14hour travel day with our 3 year old. The staff were so lovely and couldn’t have been more helpful and welcoming, doing everything they could to make sure we had what we needed in the evening and for breakfast- even bringing it to our room. The room had 2 double beds and was clean, quiet and very spacious- ideal for our needs. Perfect for a pit stop if you’re travelling via Heathrow. Will definitely use it again.

Overall very good, very close to the airport, this price can live in London to such a hotel has been very value! We flew to London on AirAsia's CA937 flight. We came to the UK for the first time. After getting off the plane, we went to the rental car company to get the car. It was almost 8 o'clock. It was just black, and it was opened in five minutes. It was free at the door. parking lot. The hotel room is small, but it can be set up in a separate bathroom. In fact, for the person who arrived on the first day, due to the time difference, basically can't sleep in the middle of the night (except for the child, my son went to sleep and went to sleep until dawn), the size of the room does not matter, there is a place to stay. I woke up from one o'clock in the morning, although the hotel was facing the street, but it was super quiet at night! Breakfast is typical continental, simple but full enough. The front desk clerk is very welcoming and will automatically greet you if you appear in front of him and ask if you need help. Overall very good hotel, affordable, very suitable for family outings, you can't take it with Holiday Inn at this price, but definitely better than the public bathroom youth hostel

The window of the room is sealed, and the window of the living room can accommodate half a finger for ventilation, which is particularly depressing. Stayed for two days, because the nearby houses are expensive and not big enough. We stayed in a family room with two bedrooms and one living room. The sanitation was quite satisfactory. The pillowcases on the bed were also hygienic. There were hair stains. If they were not too serious, they would stay in the guest room. Similar to domestic 7-day chain hotels, spending about 2500 RMB for two nights

I've stayed here before and the decline in quality is shocking. The prices have gone up but no value for money is visible. We booked a double bed and a sofa bed but the sofa bed wasn't made. The room was dusty and the toilet smelled. Breakfast options were limited, juices tasted awful and when I asked about cooked eggs I was told there was a 'very high cost'. House keeping banged outdoor at 10 am and said we needed to check out,i tried calling reception and found the phone to be dirty and not working and had to make my way down. Out of the 3 lifts, only one was functional. I've booked the nearby premier inn for my next stay , that's how much standards at the hyatt have fallen
I stayed here because the price was cheap and it was close to the airport. The Hoppa bus only goes from certain terminals so this can make your journey a bit more chaotic. A taxi from T4 cost me £20. The hotel is fine for a layover but perhaps paying more for an actual hotel at the airport maybe cheaper when you consider transportation costs.
