Hotels Near Tamburino Caffe In Yeovil Review
We were travelling through the Yeovil area and needed a place to stay the Keep ticked all the boxes. The owners really make an effort. Forget the premier inn in town this is way better. The room looked newly decorated , the bedding was perfect, our sleep was excellent, room perfectly clean, modern bathroom with bath and shower the room also had a sink and mircowave. The Keep is not some where you would go for a special weekend away but for a place to stay on business or on your way to Cornwall from London book without hesitation. Also nearly forgot great breakfast to get us on our way the next morning.
A very old, warm and wonderfully characteristic building. It was a joy to stay in such an historic hotel in a very quaint village with thatched roofs and original cottages. The room was warm and filled with a sense of rustic age. The landlord (Patrick), was the perfect host and his staff were equally welcoming. I wish we had time to stay for dinner as the evening food looked irresistible. However, we did stay for breakfast, which was everything we expected. “Perfect”. I recommend the full English breakfast most highly. I also recommend the hotel to anyone thinking of staying nearby.
Overall I'd rate this hotel a 9/10 the only thing letting it down is parking. The chap who runs this place couldn't do more to make us comfortable. Brilliant. Clean comfortable room with plenty of sockets for charging decent TV clean bathroom with a very good shower deep bath and plenty of light and mirrors Excellent value without feeling cheap. Cleaner couldn't be more helpful. Won't be staying anywhere else if we're in the area.
Hits all the spots. Central comfortable and quiet. Quick taxi ride from Yeovil Junction. Spotlessly clean and everything in pristine condition. The staff were warm and friendly and the restaurant put on a delicious selection of food with vegan options. I am a grumpy old man an I do like to moan and complain a bit, however on this occasion there is nothing to complain about. Step into the world of Premier Inns first class service at an affordable price. And it’s true the beds are so comfortable . It will be my first choice in future.
Can not fault the apparent. Good parking. On the doorstep. Very nice. Cook dinner your self if you would like to. Very layed back and quiet. Would recommend. Really enjoyed my stay. Would come back again.
I arrived to be greeted by very friendly staff and to discover I had been upgraded to honeymoon suite with fabulously comfortable super king four poster plus jacuzzi jacuzzi and a fabulously complicated massaging shower. I did not have dinner but comments were favourable and breakfast was extremely good with nice bacon and a good quality sausage. I will ask to work in Yeovil miles away from home just to stay here
It had been a while since we had been able to arrange a visit to Somerset, and of course we elected to stay at the Pen Mill Hotel again. Where else? We hadn’t even been out to eat since before lockdown but we knew we could trust the Pen Mill Hotel management to ensure a safe environment for their guests, despite the difficulties of meeting the coronavirus-driven restrictions imposed on all of the hospitality sector. Everything we had enjoyed so much on past visits was not compromised - it was all well thought out and organised, and we felt totally safe. Cleanliness in both the rooms and public areas was as good. The full English breakfast was up to the usual extremely high standard on both days; on both evenings the dinner was great (glad to find that the carvery was back on our second night when we invited local friends to join us, with the necessary additional safety measures which are now required); despite the additional demands of the regulations to which they had to adhere, all of the staff members were as lovely and cheerful as we remember from past visits and just as efficient as always. Our congratulations to Jon* and Sarah* for not just meeting the new requirements, but creating an environment in which their guests could feel safe and comfortable. And as ever, we enjoyed seeing the lovely George*. (*this means that Jon will have to award a chocolate Hobnob and a Bonio - hope he doesn’t get those the wrong way round - not sure that Sarah will get a share of either!!) Slightly misquoting Arnie, “We’ll be back”!!
I strongly recommend this inn for a long weekend break. The hotel staff were friendly, cheerful, attentive and most welcoming, and clearly very hardworking. The hotel itself looked idyllic and felt homely, nestling in a beautiful, small village near the Somerset, Dorset border, a lovely area to visit and a short walk to Montacute House (NT). Whilst our room would have benefited from being slightly larger to accommodate a couple of easy chairs, it was adequate, had en suite toilet, basin and a good shower, was very clean and comfortable, and had Wi-fi availability. There was a car park. Above all, the food was excellent and well presented; indeed, the dinners alone would make this an ideal place to stay. Finally, our stay was very good value for money, and all this added up to helping us have a wonderful long weekend break to celebrate our wedding anniversary.
Very good for a 3 star hotel. 3 of us stayed in a 2 bed apartment when visiting family in West Coker. Great location for what we needed. All staff we met were incredibly helpful and friendly, and went out of their way to ensure we had a good stay. An especial mention must go to the young woman who greeted us on the Thursday evening - she was handling all jobs on her own and coped brilliantly. The apartment was lovely and spacious and fitted out in a contemporary, minimalist style. Beds were very comfy - including the sofa bed in the living room. Highlights were: the TV in the bathroom (very indulgent!) the soft, fluffy towels & bathrobes and the hospitality selection was good - a really nice touch to include peanuts and biscuits. Generous supply of tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Would be even better if there were some fruit/mint teas, and a few more hangers in the cupboard would be good. Breakfast on the Friday morning was ok - but definitely better on the Saturday. There wasn't much listed on the continental menu, but when we asked we were brought a lovely selection of pastries as well as fruit and natural yoghurt. The cappuccino was better than the cafetiere coffee. We were pleased to have had the time to walk around the beautiful gardens and to cross the little bridge to meet the resident goats! COVID measures: The apartment was spotlessly clean, and we also saw the tables and chairs in the breakfast room being well cleaned between guests. Tables were very well spaced out and staff wore masks. There was a one-way system and guests' temperatures and details were taken on arrival. Would definitely stay here again, and would recommend to anyone visiting the area.
I've been coming to Yeovil for the last two years and never knew about the globe, this time my friend booked the globe and we've found it very lovely! The staff are amazing! Especially Shannon, Dan and Megan! I wanted to just tip them for there amazing service but they kept saying no need! I will definitely be staying again
The hotel is located near the city center, with convenient shopping malls, supermarkets and places to eat nearby
