Went to the island for business ,all day traveling. We didn’t book the hotel in advance, so we tried the city hotel. The price was a bargain for all the amenities and facilities you can use. The rooms are clean and tidy, very clean bathroom, awesome shower. The best was the new large pool, plus the gym with a lot new equipment. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We left veyrelaxed. And for sure come back for the next time on the island. The only thing where the hotel could improve is the breakfast, so don’t expect to much. Thank you City hotel team.

The hotel is not very far from the pier. I ordered a pool view villa, which is very suitable for family travel. The villa has an open kitchen, microwave and refrigerator. The living room is very large. The room has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one large The bed, the house is very clean, about 250-300 to take a taxi to the city center, you can also use the hotel car, the cost is 300, it is very convenient, the price is relatively moderate. There is a 7-11 when you leave the hotel, which is very convenient for shopping.

Breakfast is good, the price of the room fluctuates every day. If you stay in the room, please pay attention to the price. The boss is very good. My English is normal, but the boss can basically get what I want to express. The front desk attendant has good service ability. She is not here. Chinese speaker, so the best translation app before going, then the hotel is in a good location, travel recommended to rent a motorcycle 250 baht, 40 baht a bottle of oil, 1 flat oil can also run a few kilometers, if you add 4 bottles, you can run well A few days. Let the hotel help you rent a motorcycle, and there are fewer worries. The hotel will also send her sister hotel beach seat tickets. Personally suggest that when you stay at this hotel and then go to the beach to play, you can spend a full day at the beach to spend the day. More than a few thousand to open a beach house.

Overall I would say that this guesthouse is good value for money . Rooms cleaned daily , towels and sheets changed. Friendly staff and good location . Slightly off beaten track which you will appreciate later at night as the resort is like lively . Only criticism would be it's ready to update its bedroom furniture. No big point at all . If I was staying in ko samui on a budget again I would stay here again

Hotels Near Tandoor & Kabab House In Koh Samui Review

Bang Por
Location: Located in the northwest corner of Koh Samui, you can see the sunset. The traffic is inconvenient and the surrounding area is desolate. It is estimated that it is 20 kilometers away from the airport Chaweng Street and the journey takes about 40 minutes. However, the key point is that this hotel provides a free pick-up and drop-off service. We are contacting the hotel to Chaweng to pick up the hotel. The delivery can also be reserved. The free service is very good. There is a shuttle bus service to Chaweng Beach every day, many shifts, see my picture below. Facilities and Services: There is a huge swimming pool in the middle of the hotel to the beach, and the swimming is superb. The equivalent price of the interior space of the room is much higher than that of Chaweng and the facilities are more advanced. The room has a huge Roman bath. It is very comfortable to drink a cold beer at night. The breakfast is very good. There are very few Chinese tourists. There are many Japanese and Americans. The waiters do not speak Chinese at all, but there is no problem in simple English communication. The hotel has a library, gym, squash court, and anyway, the facilities are very good. Beach: The beach is generally not clean and far worse than Chaweng Beach. However, there is a floating trestle outside the hotel. It is very long and deep into the sea. It can go to the sea 100 meters in the morning, the sea is very clear, you can see the squid crab, snorkeling. There are also small fish. So the beach is generally but the tide is long in the morning and the scenery is beautiful. It is beautiful to see the sunset at night. Summary: This hotel is not convenient for transportation, there is no food and drink around, but there is a shuttle service and a shuttle service to the downtown. It is the quality of the hotel's internal facilities and services. The hotel is completely ok, and it is very desolate when the hotel is out. Nothing. Therefore, the suggestion is not to be the first hotel to Koh Samui for the first time. The first hotel in Samui should go to Chaweng Beach to experience the excitement and convenience. When you feel the excitement of Chaweng Beach, you want to change to a quiet person. Watching the sunset, quiet and feel the relaxed taste of the hotel, this hotel is a good choice, good value for money, the pool is great, it is recommended.

Such a nice place! The most friendliest staff ever. The whole family is running this place and it feels. There is only 6 villas on the territory near Choeng mon beach. We had a lot of space as all villas are 1-bedroom and we felt very cool travelling with the child. There is one big swimming pool and villas are standing around it. Every day we got breakfast to our veranda, and there is a lot to choose from for breakfast. Fresh fruits every day. It is 5 minutes to the Choeng mon beach, the beach is nice, it has smooth white sand not like other beaches on Samui. I really recommend this place!

It's not often I leave bad reviews, in fact this is the only time but I feel it's warranted. We booked the 1 bedroom villas on the beachside, once we caught our navigo there, none of us knew where the hell to go, this includes the navigo driver who telephoned the number on our itinerary and got no one at all. It was only by chance I walked into an office with no one manning it that I found someone in a back room to check me in. The reception phone to call someone is static and cannot make sense of anyone talking on the other end once they finally pick up. Once we were into the villa, that's when most of the problems started. It certainly isn't 4 star as it advertises itself. The positives first were the rooms were big, the pool was private and the wifi worked well. There's also a decent coffee shop just down the road. Now unfortunately onto the negatives * very overpriced for what you get * the beach is covered up by trees so no sea view * once at the beach, it's covered in litter and not clean * the shower goes hot-cold-warm then stays cold * the jacuzzi was dirty and the water that came out of that was brown and horrible * the wood skirting needs to be replaced as the water has damaged them over time * the bedside lamps are red which makes the room feel like a ******* (they are also chipped/broken) * the 3 tvs in the place were not working and once I tried to tune back in, still nothing. On top of this, the DVD player also wouldn't stay on * the frypan and egg flip had MOULD on them when I went to use for breakfast, then when I returned to the office to get replaced, I was told I would get a new one later that day, 3 days later on departure and no clean frypan. * constant leaves in the pool from the surrounding trees Overall I wouldn't recommend this place to stay at as its way too overpriced for what you actually get.

The price is very high, the room is big enough, I didn't expect two houses to be hotels. I didn't expect to live in a Frenchman downstairs and had a great time chatting with them. The best thing is that I am on the 3rd floor. I lived next door to a couple in the evening and could hear the sound of screaming...

This is a really difficult review as we had a lovely relaxing stay. I stayed at this resort 4 years ago and I'll be honest, it doesn't have the same luxurious feel to it as it did then - starting to feel rather tired and something is missing. On initial check-in I could feel the difference from my original stay, just didn't have that vibe anymore despite some staff efforts. Despite this we had a nice time here and James who appears to run the restaurant made us feel extra special and super welcome, he went the extra mile to make our trip special and done little things to ensure we were always looked after - his English was very good which helped matters. If it wasn't for James our stay wouldn't of been as good as he really did go out his way for us! Only thing is the bar/restaurant offer kept changing and staff weren't sure of the offer themselves and couldn't elaborate (not James) - it advertised Wednesday that Thursday would be 30% off food and drink but on the day it was only food on the sign. With the current situation with Covid-19 we had to change our trip which resulted in us booking an extra night last min and requiring late check out after a stressful time making changes at reception. They very kindly let us use the phone which helped matters! Jee at reception told me it was 300baht per hour to stay later despite seeing the difficulty we've had with our flight amendments - 1500 baht altogether to stay till 5pm (may I add I wasn't expecting this free whatsoever as late) but a form of goodwill would of went a long way when extending our stay. We returned to reception a while later and had another lady serve us who gave us check out till 5pm for 600 baht...huge difference! I was advised later she was higher up management and able to do so. This just appeared rather disappointing and unaccommodating from our first enquiry, why not make the enquiry to see what you could do for us rather than state a price and say that's all you can do and watch us leave. Don't book taxi via hotel, walk outside and pay 50-75% less. I'm glad we returned later and left feeling happier with the goodwill gesture by the kind lady after a stressful time! We really did have a nice stay but probably wouldn't go back as it didn't have the same classy luxury vibe it used to. Thanks again for the efforts.

We have had the best 8 days at this beautiful villa it’s just as described Were absolutely amazed about the family from India that left an awful review it was really uncalled for how they could actually be so petty and rude about this place and the wonderful hosts its laughable! This is a hillside rustic home that is home from home everything you need is here. You must enjoy a little nature that all I’d say. But that’s what Thailand is all about surely.... The host is a lovely lady that I would say couldn’t be aggressive towards a fly and Anny is just kind and so helpful tidying after us! We had use of mopeds a truck and got lifts if we wanted to drink on a night out. The beds were the best nights sleep any of us had had in a while it was just 10/10 all round for the most amazing family holiday we hope that anyone considering this villa ignores the arrogance of the one and only bad review it’s rubbish go for here you won’t regret it. We thank Janya (that’s the correct spelling of her name by the way) & Anny for making our 2nd week in koh Samui just perfect all the best Jay,Anne, David, Paige & Kenny xx

The environment is beautiful, this apartment is suitable for long-term vacation, basically no Chinese. Although the room is relatively old, it is well-equipped and has everything from a kitchen balcony computer desk. . . The gym pool breakfast is fully equipped and you can also sunbathe. Room environment: The room is large, very sensational, open large shower, the disadvantage is that there is no bathtub. The bed was very comfortable and very soft. The daily house sweep would come to the room and give two bottles of water and two pieces of chocolate. The fruit will only be given on the first day. Special mention is the balcony. Each room has a large private balcony with good privacy, a long sofa and a rocking chair, and a coffee table. It is especially suitable for sitting in the evening to watch the scenery and then have a drink. There are many mosquitoes, and you must be prepared for mosquito prevention. The hotel has liquid mosquito-repellent incense, which is not enough. The environment of the park: The park is not big, there is only one swimming pool, it is boundless, and the photos are very beautiful. When I went there, there were very few Chinese tourists in the hotel. Almost all tourists from western countries, they would have been in the pool all the time. In general, the hotel is very quiet, especially suitable for couples honeymoon vacation, and the value is high, taking photos. The hotel has three floors, all of which are sea view rooms. The difference is the location of the sea and the size of the balcony. There is also a bathtub in the suite. I have an ordinary sea view room, so there is no bathtub. To explain, I don't think that the front desk will give a bad location because it is a Chinese tourist. The specific allocation depends on the price. My friend is a few hundred more expensive than me, so the location of his room is very good. In the middle of the squad, I hope that everyone should evaluate the issue objectively, instead of holding up the entire race because they are not satisfied. First of all, you have no privilege to enjoy the better for free. Secondly, don’t mislead the compatriots with you to "come with the enemy" when you suspect the difference between others. When you treat you, the premise is that you have already doubted yourself. Eating problem: The hotel breakfast is western-style, most of which are local tastes. There are not many dishes and monotonous. They can eat but can't eat good standards. The main meal will give you a menu to order, and it is not good. Basically It is an omelette and bread. There are many restaurants to choose from when you walk to the fishing village for five or six minutes. There are also many bars in the evening, which is very lively. Every Monday and Friday, there are night markets, selling things and selling snacks, it is worth visiting. Staying at the hotel for four days, basically rely on these two night markets to eat local snacks. There is also a family and a big 7 near the hotel. It is very convenient to buy daily necessities and eat. However, I have not found fruit for sale in these days, and occasionally I will drive to sell mangosteen. Every day at noon, there will be a big uncle pushing a mobile car to sell a local soup powder. It is recommended, very delicious, and it is very suitable for my taste of the Northeast. Hotel beach: The hotel has its own private beach, there are not many reclining chairs, about four or five. The guests outside the hotel will come to the hotel staff to ask, and there is a swimming area around the sea. In the evening, the hotel will show movies on the beach. There are BBQ on the beach, four sticks make up a credit, and there is a table inside. It is quite romantic. I didn’t try it because I saw a table in it for a few days. It is estimated that it is not delicious. Take a taxi to Chaweng about 350 baht, there is a big indoor commercial street, there are more Chaweng hotels, the price is not too much.

The Lodge is a perfect getaway spot for couples looking for a simple but clean, small, family-run establishment. We had one of the “Pent Huts” on the second floor with a gorgeous sea view and plenty of space. The whole hotel only has eight rooms, so doesn’t feel crowded at all. The room was basic but very clean and comfortable. The hotel itself is situated right in the middle of the Fisherman’s village, so you have a wide range of restaurants and bars on your doorstep, plus it’s super easy to get to other parts of the island by taxi or if you hire a scooter. What sets The Lodge apart is the friendliness of the staff, who had memorised our drinks order within a couple of days and were always happy to go the extra mile. They do an excellent Mojito! The Lodge also serves food which I found to be of excellent quality. Try the chicken and cashew nuts stir fry - it’s delicious. The only negative points I could think of would be: - Some noise is inevitable because it’s right in the middle of the Fisherman’s Village and it directly overlooks the beach. If you need absolute silence to sleep, this place isn’t for you. - We caught the tail end of the wet season, so pretty much every morning there was a big storm. As a result the balcony gets very wet and sometimes if the winds are high, some water comes through the doors. This isn’t really something over which the hotel has any control but just worth noting. On the flip side, this means you have a ringside view for the incredible lightning storms coming in off the sea. If we return to Koh Samui we will definitely stay here again. It was amazing value for money and an overall great experience, in no small part due to the lovely people who run the place. Thank you!

Great hotel! Going to the hotel where Samui lived two days ago, the fresh taste and the retro decoration are very attractive to us. After living in Owen, Chaweng... The next day, I turned back to Sent. OZO's experience is simply very different, with a lot of people and poor health. Chawen is also very commercialized. So I went back to Sent, quiet, the beach was very clean, and I could see the crab baby crawling up and down in the morning. It is also very good to live with children. There is a beach in front of the hotel, children have unlimited sand, and no one is going to sell things from time to time. very good! Rent a motorcycle to go to the fishing village, the night market and restaurants are also very cost-effective. I can't wait to still want to come in next time. BTW, his restaurant is simply! The breakfast is very delicate, although it is not necessarily full, but it is really exquisite to bear the mouth! Dinner is also very good, every detail is done very well! Thumbs up!

I love Peace resort and their pool villas. The resort is nicely located within walking distance from Fisherman Village. The staff here is very service minded and friendly. I ordered ice buckets to my room and also had to call engineering for work on the aircon. Every time they turned up within minutes and was super friendly and professional. 5 star to the staff! :-) What keeps this resort from a perfect 5 star is small things with the room. Firstly there isn’t a door between the toilet area and the bedroom. Looks sweet in the beginning but when you have to do nature’s number 2, I don’t want to look my girlfriend in the eye as she is laying in the bed. A thin linen cloth on the sliding door would make this experience much less awkward. Also the outside sitting area. It should have plants covering so that you can’t see people walk past outside. It had but they were to thinly planted so they didn’t cover enough. A table by the pool to put your drinks on or a small Sala would make the pool area perfect.

We wanted a sunny holiday in January to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary, and chose Thailand. After lots of research, we selected the island of Koh Samui, and the Samui Palm Beach Resort. A short drive from Samui International Airport, this hotel is set back from a main road and borders Bophut Beach. Our first impressions on arrival at the Hotel were all positive - attractive low-rise buildings, well maintained gardens, with everything looking clean and tidy. Service on arrival outside Reception was first class - we were immediately greeted and led into the cool of the building whilst porters dealt with our luggage. We were led to comfortable couches, and given cool drinks and scented towels from the refrigerator - very welcome after a long plane journey ! Check in was speedy, friendly and professional, accompanied by the smiles and friendliness which we now know Thailand is famous for. We were very pleased with our room. Spacious, with a huge comfortable bed, a wide balcony overlooking a secluded garden, separate dressing area and a really big bathroom, it was impressive. Furniture wise, there was lots of storage space in the room, and comfortable seating in the bedroom and on the balcony. A large closet was built into the dressing area. All the modern conveniences that a lot of us now come to expect were present - tea/coffee making equipment, modern multichannel TV, minibar (with complimentary bottled water) ample electrical outlets, hair dryer, safe (free of charge) in addition to various toiletries ( with a lovely scent of tea ) accessories and fluffy white towels, the Hotel also provided lots of useful items - cotton bath robes, mule slippers, beach towels, flip flops, a beach bag and even umbrellas ! Our bathroom had his and her sinks, a large separate shower area and a full sized bath Housekeeping was carried out daily, to a high standard. Free wifi was available throughout the various buildings and grounds. Everyone who we interacted with was helpful and friendly. A special mention of two wonderful ladies, Noi (Front of House Manager) and Mang, (Manager in Residence). They work hard, always find time for guests, and really try to please ! They really made us feel special. We would also like to thank Mr Omapatt, General Manager, who we met a few times and found to be a real gentleman. Food and drink - we ate in both the Trade Winds Restaurant and the Sea Grille Restaurant in a sister hotel next door. Decor, service and food were very good. Amazing choice of hot and cold food and beverages at breakfast. Menus were varied, with Themed dinners on different days every week - we tried most of them, including a special Chinese New Year Celebration with cocktails, a special menu, music and Dragons (great fun!) - all very good. Staff were so friendly and attentive - we must thank Ex and Krist (Restaurant Management) and Mr Wut, Head Chef - lovely people! Note: When we returned to our room on ou

Spent two weeks here in July while volunteering as a vet student in the local dog shelter. The shelter is a 15 mins walk away . The place is ran by a charming young Italian couple and a small few lovely local staff. The chef, Joe, gets a special mention cos he was just great. This place is amazing value for money. By far the cheapest we paid in Thailand and got a lovely double room with an ensuite. There is a great restaurant on site that does Thai food and unreal pizza. We were there for 2 weeks and tried other places in walking distance that were nice too (Mum a Roy's for eg.) when we needed a change. The owners provide everything, taxi cheaper than we could organise ourselves . Scooters or bikes if you want to rent them etc. There is an amazing beach about 7 min walk away. We spent many peaceful evenings on the terrace having beer and chats. For from the busy filth of Chaweng.

Stayed 3 nights, the hotel is a bit far from the central festival, but there is a shuttle bus to and from the hotel at 70 baht per person. Breakfast is okay, and everything is available, but the supplement is not particularly diligent. As a member, the child discounts over 400 baht per night to 240 baht, including breakfast, can make the sofa into a bed. Drinking water pipes are enough, so they can be sent without them. The beach is much better than the Ritz-Carlton, barefoot is fine. Turn right, there is a hotel supermarket pharmacy, 5 minutes walk there is a net red restaurant, very convenient. We live on New Year's Eve and there is a New Year dinner event. In short, it's a good hotel to spread the sun there.

Choeng Mon Beach
This is my first time to Koh Samui, unfortunately the first day here I twisted my ankle. But that didn’t stop me from enjoying the poolside, the weather and most of all the beautiful hospitality by Mon and her husband. They helped me walk to my villa and assisted me in any way possible. I can’t thank them enough. If I come back this would be the place I stay, so private (like having your own backyard swimming pool). They both do a fabulous job, many thanks.

Breakfast is very simple, there are two choices, one is soup rice, one is Western breakfast, there are two slices of bread, the bread is delicious, crispy, two small ham sausages, double yellow omelet, coffee or tea, a plate of fruit, Can eat enough. The only bright spot is that there is a swimming pool of average size and the water quality is very clean. The shortcoming is that the position is relatively biased, the occupancy rate is not high, and it is basically a foreigner. No food can be found nearby, and travel is not very convenient. There is no kettle. I feel neither drinking nor eating. Fortunately, only stayed for one night.

Chaweng Beach
Thailand's local high-end brands, in the middle of the law, the overall evaluation of four and a half. In fact, I would like to relax in the five-star hotel in the Banyan Tree in the past four seasons. However, the price of the National Day is too high. Secondly, the trip to the home is difficult to adjust. These five-star hotels are located in quiet and remote places, afraid of the elderly. I feel bored and dislike, personally feel that Banyan Tree is more suitable for couples to travel. The elders of the family need to be able to walk and go out to eat and shop for convenience and excitement, so I struggled for a long time and finally decided to live in the Chaweng Beach area. The room requirements are not high. After all, I will go out to play most of the time. It is really just a place to have a breakfast buffet in the morning, so as long as the cleanliness is not too cramped, there is a pool in the sea. This hotel meets all our requirements and is very cost effective. I have booked an ordinary garden area room for my old man. I need more space for two children and set up a family duplex room so that they sleep upstairs. I sleep downstairs and do not affect each other. The hotel's sea view suite area and common garden view room area are on both sides of the road. When crossing the road, there are guards to help ensure safety. There is a lot of price difference on both sides, so it is more cost-effective to cross the road:) The hotel breakfast is good, although it does not change every day, but it can still eat. Hotel hygiene cleaning may be more general, but not dirty. As soon as the island was supposed to be clean, it would not be a big deal. Secondly, it was a four-star hotel, and the demand could not be higher. There is a swimming pool in the garden area and the sea view area, which is quite convenient. However, the garden area is recommended to live on the second floor of the house. The first floor is easy to have night worms and more geckos. The location of the hotel is personally impeccable, with 7-11 or a family and pharmacy hotel within five minutes of walking. The recommended restaurant in the seafood "food stalls" is within 10 minutes walking distance from the hotel. There are small outlets across the food stalls, the Chinese street is turning, and there is another shopping center. In terms of service, I gave five points, which is really good. The elephant house in the visitor center at the front desk, the sailing boat and the atv three projects are also very satisfied, and the price is fair. In short, I personally think that this is a cost-effective, there are some, although not the most luxurious high-end, but the children feel that hateful is very good, I am happy.

Nick the owner is really helpful and gave us all the info and anything we needed. We sat with him and his wife a a few occasions and really nice couple. Nay who takes care of everything helped us with everything and organises pretty much all you need, he’s a really nice guy and deserves a big thank you from us. All the cleaning staff especially Yaya are really kind and helpful also and we will really miss them. The grounds are kept very well by a very happy gardener and the whole setting is beautiful with a very big pool for those who like to exercise. There is also a table tennis table, bar and pool table which is equally very well maintained. The site is across the main road from the very popular area of Fisherman’s village with everything you need and only 5/10 minutes walk and no hills, all on the flat. There are one bedroom bungalows or two bedroom villas nestled around the pool. There are also three bedroom Private villas available with your own pool. We stayed in a villa as we wanted to cook and they are truly beautiful with marble tiled floors, kitchen area, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. There is a porch area outside with table and chairs ideal for sitting on an Erving with a glass of wine looking at the lit pool and listening to the wildlife. Everyone has their own private space and that’s nice and always lots of sun beds and umbrellas. Thank you very much Nick, Nay and Yaya for an excellent time and we will be back. Steve & Dawhan

Western breakfast is good, the living room has sofa-type single beds, suitable for parent-child travel, the hotel is on the beach in the fisherman village of Pop Beach, with bars and restaurants on the doorstep. Green trees and red tiles are a good place for vacation. The hotel has free parking. The hotel owner is a Chinese Thai and friendly to Chinese.

The hotel is new and the location is good, 5-10 min walk from the beach and several restaurants. They have a nice swimming pool and nice staff too. However, lots of things are lacking to make this place really nice, maybe because they look new and are still adjusting. We booked the bedrooms (not dormitories), but: 1 there was no safe: we locked our money and passports in the luggage 2. there was not enough place to hang clothes and towels: there is no wardrobe, just a sort of stick between two walls with two hangers. We asked for more hangers, but we got none... We ended up buying ropes and more hangers. It is a beach place with a swimming pool, so clothes, swimming suits etc get wet! People from other bedrooms were hanging everything on the shrubs of the garden... 3. There is no beach/swimming pool towel 4. Few, very heavy swimming pool chairs 5. We got the bedroom next to the swimming pool, so we had noise from people drinking late in the night, and children screaming early in the morning 6. There is a glass window below the air conditioning, so the light goes straight to your eyes. We found cardboard and put there. Otherwise, bring your mask 7. Breakfast is really a poor and unhealthy, sort of English breakfast: white bread, egg (good thing…), sausages and ham of low quality, bacon sometimes beans, sometimes something green like spinach (also good), tea OR (bad) coffee OR (not fresh) orange juice. We bought fruit and yogurt to make it better… It is sort of different every day and it comes ready, so you can’t chose what eat and what not to eat, so lots of food are wasted (well, I am not sure those sausages and ham are considered food…). We think that they could have a list of options (including healthy food!) and we would made the combination…
