I stayed here for a week-long conference. The only available parking was valet. The check-in/out was easy enough. The workers were pleasant. There was construction adjacent to the hotel while I was there. The great thing about this hotel is proximity. We were able to walk to many restaurants and sights because of the location. The hotel has a Starbucks, bar (evenings) and restaurant (breakfast only). This hotel didn't feel authentically Hilton. I don't know how to explain that. One elevator was down for part of my stay. The hotel catered food was not bad. The restrooms were hard to locate without having to walk through the hotel. During the conference, the women's restrooms had lines, but they went quickly. I loved that Publix was a two minute walk! Rooms: My room was a typical hotel room setup, but outlets were oddly placed. I had a hard time finding the outlet in the bathroom for the blowdryer. The bathroom was small with patches on the wall covering holes. The water for the shower and sink had great pressure and heated quickly. The bed was comfy. The television guide was weird because it showed the channels and things that were on but not the times. I couldn't scroll and preview either. Wish they would have an option for NetFlix or amazon prime streaming (even if using my own account)! There was a mini-fridge that kept things cold and the room came with complimentary waters. I had a nice view of the water from my room. Overall, the location makes this hotel a good pick. There should be more options for parking (maybe when construction is finished) and on-site food choices for those who can't venture out. I felt safe while here and that means so much. If you choose to stay here, check out Mio's Cafe while you are there.

The Prince de Leon is a charming hotel nicely located in the heart of St. Petersburg. The staff was courteous and helpful. Restaurants are nearby. The price was ok. Now the hotel is showing it’s age. Our room was small but adequate. The paint was chipped in spots and the floor could use a new finish. The shower did not work. The light over the bathroom sink did not work. The shower curtain needed to be re-hung. Not serious matters for us but they detracted from the experience. But the bed was comfortable and I had a good night’s sleep once the street noise quieted down.

This place was a cross between a quaint downtown hotel and a motor inn, where they offer free parking and you might be able to see your parked car out your window. The pool was great, with jacuzzi jets all around the pool edges plus a little waterfall to dunk your head under, and the hotel had a fun happy hour, where pool enjoyers sipped cocktails & nibblies while leaning against the bubbling water. And as the hotel says: no daily resort fee, as our next hotel secretly tacked on in Sarasota. We had arrived late from Tampa airport, at 10:30 pm, just in time to have a quick glass of wine at the Hollander's excellent bar before closing, and then the next two mornings we ordered wonderful, varied breakfasts on their breezy front porch (the coffee was great but didn't like the taste of their OJ). The staff was always super-attentive and friendly. The king bedroom & bathroom is smallish with only okay shower water pressure, but I appreciated the comfortable bed, blackout curtains, and in-wall air conditioner for good sleep. (If you're doing your vacation right, you ain't spending too much time in your room anyway.) The hotel itself is filled with fun things to see, including vintage St. Pete's photos lining the 3-story staircase and hallways. All in all, a memorable stay at a cute walkable downtown hotel.

Positive: front desk staff friendly, free wine & champagne happy hour, very convenient location to downtown St. Petersburg, lots to do. Lobby cute art deco, sister hotel with pool and restaurant literally right next door. The breakfast at The Hollander (sister hotel) was great and only a few steps away. Parking was free, once you found a spot between the 2 places. Negative: ”suite” wasn't cleaned correct first day, was only cleaned half way on the second day, for which we did receive a free bottle of Champaign, and didn't get cleaned at all during third day. Mentioning this at the front desk we were told our ”Do Not Disturb” sign had been out all day which simply isn't the case. We moved it inside when we left for the day, and needless to say it wasn't hanging outside when we got back in the evening (I wonder how it got back inside the door?). The so called mattress on the pull out sofa was unusable as is because there isn't much mattress left anymore to cover the springs, I had to use a blanket and a comforter to put on it in order to sleep there for 3 nights. Even if, as the person during check out was trying to explain to us, our sign had been out the entire day, plus they have 150 rooms and nobody had a problem with housekeeping during the past 3 days (so what in the world could our problem have been?), the other things found in the room didn't happen during the last few days. Mold in the fridge seal, the arm chair was as grungy as it gets with someone's cereal and M&M's left behind, stains on the wall and curtains. We didn't want to mention any of those things, and would not have, had we not been treated the way we did during check-out. The loud, window A/C's and small rooms have been mentioned before and wouldn't have been so bad to deal with. We knew we booked an older, 2 star hotel and didn't expect major luxury, but we did expect cleanliness I suppose.

•Check-In Process: Checking in at the front desk was a bit of an issue. It took awhile to get some reservation details squared out but we managed to resolve our issue. Our company gave us the name of the manager who we asked to speak to and put on the phone with our company but they wouldn't come out of their office to speak with us. I think this would have been a good opportunity to demonstrate their leadership and ensure that their guests have a streamlined, positive experience. They tried to charge us individually when we had already gotten our reservation paid in full by our company. They were very aggressive in asking for a credit card. The employee who checked us in had to keep going in and out of the back office and asking us repetitive questions. These things can be a major hassle when you've been in your car a while and have a young child that has been as patient as can be. After about 15-20 minutes of back and forth questions and phone calls, we got checked in. We understand that things happen sometimes but this was not a good start. •Comfort Level: As someone who suffers from constant neck and back issues, I must say that the beds are VERY uncomfortable AND not at all supportive. These beds exacerbated my pain and left me uncomfortable for days. I'm very particular about the temperature in my room and the room was at 79° when I checked in. It was way too warm for our liking. We (including our little one) usually feel most comfortable in the 69-72° range. We adjusted the thermostat and after four hours, it only reached a low of 76° which is very uncomfortable for sleep. We tried playing around with the settings but to no avail. A technician named Emil who was extremely polite and did his job with fidelity, came to check the room and said that the thermostat really doesn't even work or give accurate readings. We also discovered that the hotel had apparently shut off their HVAC system in the earlier part of the day which led to it not working at full capacity. We had very uncomfortable nights that involved sweating profusely. Many of our colleagues also complained about difficult temperatures in their rooms and it being too hot to sleep. •Cleanliness: I think this was the most pressing issue for me during my stay here. The lobby and common areas appear to be fairly clean and presentable, as do the elevators. The rooms at first glance appear to be clean but upon closer inspection (which you are more inclined to engage in when traveling with your family) you see that the room receives the most basic and minute form of cleaning. I am not blind to the fact that we live in a post-covid world with a dwindling workforce so I'm sure that the housekeeping staff has their hands very full. Be that as it may, the headboards had gross marks and I could tell they hadn't been wiped down in a long time. At least the bathroom was sparkling clean and exactly as I hoped it would be. That was definitely one of the highlights of the room. My next area of co

We’ve stayed here several times because it is easy to reach from the interstate, and very easy to get into downtown and avoid the interstate. There is a Culver’s a half mile from the hotel so we walk to that if we want a reasonable meal. There was also a PoFolks and I haven’t seen one of those in years that is a half mile away. Usually we go somewhere for dinner. The room was large and very clean. The pool is clean and very nice. The hotel has always been very quiet and we have never had a problem finding a parking place. Breakfast is not included so we go elsewhere. We feel very comfortable and safe in this hotel. It does have its oddities however. Our microwave was not plugged in but we called the desk and they sent someone to take care of that. They refrigerator worked. I don’t know if this is all Holiday Inns or just this one but they don’t leave any thing in the room at all. Not a pen or a notepad, no touring box to give you ideas of places and restaurants. They also will not enter the room unless you request towels or something which seems to be the new normal thanks to Covid. But we will definitely stay there again when we are in town to go to the Dali museum.

me and my family really like Marriott hotel, and this one is really beautiful inside and out. Its modern and very clean hallways, gym, pool and room. Very nice selection of breakfast foods too, tons of choices for breakfast actually. The gym is beautiful and modern equipment and very clean. very nice elevator as well and it smells good in the hallway when you get out of the elevator. Nice neighborhood too is important, we did not see any loitering people around the hotel or in the hallways! we feel very safe and the hotel feels very safe for that reason. I love the high ceiling inside the room too. The bathroom is modern and beautiful. The only thing I don't like it their pool is so tiny! but the kids still got in the pool and enjoyed it because you know they're kids. The most important for me is, the place is very clean, awesome selection of breakfast, very nice gym room and very nice room.
