Hotels Near Taqueria In Oslo
0.12km from TaqueriaThe Grand Hotel Oslo, which opened in 1874, is located in Oslo’s city center and based only 500 meters from the Royal Palace. In addition, the Karl Johan high street and luxury boutiques and the popular area Aker Brygge are within a few minutes’ walk of the hotel. The Stortinget Metro Station is just around the corner, while the National Theater and its train station is 600 meters away from Grand Hotel. So, the location is perfect for visitors. The friendliness of the staff starting with the General Manager, who welcomed us personally, the quick friendly check-in process and the great and knowledgeable staff members in the Othilia lobby bar and Palmen restaurant, are exemplary and makes the Grand Hotel Oslo special for each guest. We enjoyed free access to the close Artesia spa on weekdays and free access to the WiFi during our whole stay. Our guest room was equipped with comfortable and classic furniture, a flat-screen TV, minibar and on the balcony, we had a wonderful view over Oslo. In addition, the Grand Hotel offers during the day great food and drink options. The breakfast buffet served in the Grand Café is just amazing. You feel in a place where past and present meets. The huge painting provides an historic atmosphere of the late 19th century. The salmon prepared in different ways is delicious and the variety of fresh fruits help to start healthy into the day. Lunch and dinner are offered in the Palmen restaurant with a menu consisting of large and small dishes in a fusion of continental and Nordic cuisine. In the evening Othili`s lobby bar offers nicely prepared drinks and cocktails in a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere.
0.12km from TaqueriaI didn't book the hotel, my job did and it was a great experience. The hotel is as central as it gets in Oslo - breakfast with the King might be possible. :) The reception was exceptional an friendly. The process was great. Social distancing is working and there was a mandatory mask order in place. Very good! Elevator to the room (a little bit slow) but the room was great. Nice Queen sized bed and a view out to Karl Johan. A very interesting bathroom, but everything very nice design. Flat screen TV (I would have liked CNN there, but not possible). Free internet - my only complain: slow or gone so I had to use my phone as a hub to watch Netflix on a tablet. Maybe fix that and give a possibility to cast to the TV. Breakfast with all the regulations i place was good. Nice atmosphere. Not the best but above average. Check out friendly again. You felt welcome at the hotel. So next time I am in Oslo, this ist the first hotel I will check for a booking.
0.13km from TaqueriaWe stayed here for 3 nights in March. The hotel is very centrally located, about 10 minutes walk to the train station and within easy walking distance of lots of the sights. It seemed to have been recently refurbished and the room was very comfortable with everything we needed and a clean modern feel. There was also a fridge, kettle and iron in the room which was handy. Breakfast was varied with a large selection, including some gluten free options. It is quite near the church so we could hear the bells ringing from our room but it wasn't loud enough to disturb us. The staff were friendly. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend for a comfortable stay in Oslo.
0.14km from TaqueriaWe spent three weeks exploring Scandinavia and this hotel was by far the very best. Unlike some grand dame hotels this one isn't stuffy or resting on past glory. As a retired Hotel Chain CEO I look at hotels differently than most travelers and noticed all the unique touches that makes the Bristol so special. The staff are very friendly and yet professional, the public space is actually cozy and the rooms are well maintained and extremely comfortable. The hotel was going through a renovation during our stay, but it did not create any inconvenience for the guests... no noise, no fuss. The lobby is a blend of functional necessities while providing a warm "club type" astmosphere. The lobby restaurant is extremely popular for both guests and locals. My congratulations to the entire Bristol staff for our wonderful stay!

0.17km from TaqueriaWe stayed here all in all three nights. Location and breakfast are definitely the forte of this hotel. Everything is in walking distance (even the train station to go to the airport) and the breakfast is just superb, with plenty of choices and high quality food. Check in and check out are lightning fast. The first night we were given a room on the second floor which had a spacious bathroom with two sinks. The only thing we didn't like too much was the fact that the double bed was actually two single beds put together, which we find a bit annoying. So for our second stay (two nights) we asked for a real double bed and they gave us a room on the fifth floor, which was also good, but unfortunately with a much smaller bathroom. One word of caution regards noise: the triple rooms are all located on the street side which is noisy because of the continuous passage of trams on the intersecting main road nearby and because they have scaffoldings on the building due to some works on the facade. The good thing is that they don't work on the facade on Saturdays and Sundays, so if you stay during weekends (like we did the second time) you will have to deal only with the tram noise, which is bearable. If you need just a regular double room make sure you ask for a room on the inside to avoid these problems. If you do get an inside room you will get an excellent deal at a good rapport quality/ price for Norway.
0.17km from TaqueriaA bit old, but nice hotel in the very middle of Oslo city centre. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Rooms are nice and clean. Large enough for two. Easy to regulate temperature now in the winter. I hate warm rooms in the night. Not tried in the summer. Bathroom a bit old. Ventilators/aircon. outside in the back yard was very noisy at the 6.th floor. Nice breakfast with OK selection of various food. I will come back here.
0.2km from TaqueriaSecond stay here, 4 stars last time, definately 5 stars this time. Love the 7th floor, some may say it's a bit noisy here but I love hearing the trams late into the night and early morning also you could just hear the metro but the view from the 7th floor is great day and night! All staff are fantastic, the room is kept clean, this was my only complaint last visit was room service missed me, but not this time, perfect :-) There is a huge choice of hotels in Oslo, but if it feels right don't fix, I go back to the same place, see you again very soon I hope Scandic Grensen!
0.21km from TaqueriaWhen we arrived, it took a good 10 minutes to check-in, and our room was not ready even after the check-in time of 3 pm. After 10 minutes, we were given one of our rooms on the top floor, which was rather small and conventional. Finally, after another 15 minutes, the other room was ready at a lower level. The room on the top floor was small and quite awful not because of the room itself, but because of the loud bell from the nearby city hall that rang more than once an hour. This noise made it rather impossible to sleep at night. When we complained, we were given another room on the same level as the other room. To my surprise, they upgraded the room as well, which was very nice of them. This new room was quite the upgrade indeed. The beds were reasonably comfortable and had all the necessary amenities that we required. I found the mini-shop they had on the ground floor was rather useful and had more selections than a standard minibar would. The breakfast was decent and had a large selection. I had a good selection of teas as well. One thing that I would note is that the queue to get coffee is always very long and took a good 5-7minutes of waiting just to get an okay cup of coffee. One thing that really bugged me was that I saw multiple people packing entire meals on their bags to have for later. It was not just one bread or something small; it was full-on, hot meals with their container. Even though it wasn't my food, it drives up the cost for the hotel and really bugged me. I think the hotel should forbid this. Overall, for the price, the hotel undoubtedly exceeded expectations. The negatives are simply due to the volume of people in the hotel and can be forgiven. The room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was decent, and it is certainly worth the price.
0.23km from TaqueriaWe booked the suite at this hotel and it was very nice indeed with a comfortable bedroom and a lovely spacious living area. I loved the colourful furniture and wallpaper, so nice to get away from boring neutrals. The lounge on the 8th floor is always open and has a good coffee machine. There was also a Nespresso machine in the room. Breakfast was very good with lots of choices, but the tables are very close together, a bit too close and it can be very busy. On one morning, we actually had to wait for someone to leave before we could get a table. The evening supper is a bit ordinary. We prefer to eat out, so only tried it once but it is only soup and some salad and a few other bits and pieces, a bit disappointing really. We saw much better in other places we stayed. So overall, a very good hotel, comfortable and well located, but not a favourite. It feels a bit more corporate then a cosy spot for leisure travellers.
0.23km from TaqueriaNorway is the country with the highest GDP per capita in the world, but this trip to Northern Europe is the most boring country in the city center. The location of the hotel is very good, right in the center of the old city, but the facilities are very simple. Not as good as a county hotel in China. The breakfast did not even have hot meals, and there was no water heater in the room. A plastic bag is hung on the door every morning, containing 2 ice-cold sandwiches and 2 bottles of orange juice. If you don't bring your own water heater, breakfast for guests with stomach problems will become the source of the disease. The TV in the room only has 2 Norwegian channels and there is no international news in English. I hardly believe that this is a hotel in the center of the capital where the Nobel Peace Prize was awarded. Oslo has many advertisements welcoming Chinese people to use UnionPay cards, and maps in Chinese. However, the arrangement of hotel facilities to cater to the habits of Chinese tourists is the worst in the Nordic countries, far inferior to Finland and Sweden. It makes people doubt the Viking countries, where are their competitive advantages today?
0.39km from TaqueriaThe hotel is extremely funny. We arrived at the hotel around 11.50 in the evening. Because of the car, we went to the hotel and asked where the parking lot was. The hotel description clearly stated that there was a parking lot. He said that let us park the road and give the money directly. We went. The total price of 295, one night, may be due to immediately 12 o'clock, paying two credit cards failed, go to the front desk, and then. . . He took us to the hotel's parking lot, 250 at night, and there was a sign at the front desk, clearly describing the hotel parking lot, 250 nights, which made me very upset, obviously the hotel parking lot did not let us stop, let us Spend more money on the roadside? ? ? What is this operation?
0.4km from TaqueriaThe room was tiny (we presumably had the cheapest smallest room offered but even still compared to other budget rooms we have had it was small). Poorly light, no fridge and we had to get basically right under the bed to plug in power points which wasn't pleasant. The hotel promoted booking tours through reception for a discount but staff were not helpful, one did not know how to and the other told us to go to the tour location and book in person + they provided incorrect information about tours and public transport. Upon check in to the hotel we were told breakfast started at 6.30am so the following morning we went down At 6.30 however the room was locked we then were told it was actually 8.00 am as it was the week of Christmas. We understood the reasoning but we were again mislead and the only sign mentioning this time change was in Norwegian which we cannot read. This ruined our plans for the day as we intended to be out of the hotel by 7. Breakfasts were good and the location was convenient. The room was clean and tidy as expected. Would not stay there again. Not because it was terrible but I suspect there are better hotels nearby for the same money.
Hotels Near Taqueria In Oslo Review
Oslo City Center
I booked this hotel for a night but stayed for two nights cos we were not able to go to Tromso as we came from UK and were not allowed to tour unless we had ten days quarantine. We were lucky to book at this hotel cos the receptionists were very helpful and accommodating (especially Matilda). We were on quarantine but did not feel the pressure. We enjoyed our time inside the room with food and drink served/delivered right at the door. Breakfast was so appetising and it took us til lunch to finish. We inly had to order supper thru Foodora.no app. The room on 9th floor was so clean with lovely (smell) toiletries and plenty of towels. The corridor is clean and quiet. We had a restful night. I recommend this hotel if you come to Oslo, 30-34 mins from Oslo airport. Plenty of shops around and a bar at 34th floor of the hotel. They also have plenty of elevators A to H that is operated by the key card so it is safe. The pool and fitness gym are closed due to Covid and in general, this hotel looks safe from Covid with its hight tech sanitising spray on all corners. We’d love to stay again here if ever we get a chance to come back to Oslo.

In beginning of August 2020 the upper floors of the hotel underwent some renovation/maintenance, which was audible from 9am. Therefore the hallway was protected with plastic and entrance to our room was smeared with white footprints. The carpet in our room 2206 was stained and also old and dirty - would need to be replaced; heel/sauna sleepers would be nice to keep feet and socks clean from the dirty carpet. Breakfast was a total disappointment - don't blame it on Covid-19 because hotels of the Nordic Choice chain (e.g. Quality Hotel) had a lot more options to choose from for breakfast and in the same period. Was a big big disappointment that a 4-star Radisson Blue hotel was bel to offer just scrambled eggs and not also fried eggs for breakfast. Everything cold was in small jars which was unnecessary in my opinion. Breakfast was not 4-star but 2,5-star at the best. The pool is like from a horror movie.
My wife treated me to 3 nights here in December and it was fantastic. Check in easy. There’s coffee and tea in the reception and sometimes a plate of biscuits. There is a separate locked room to store luggage until check in. And then this can also be used at check out. The apartments are huge with everything you need, a mini kitchen, tv, sofa, dining table and large bed. The bathroom has a heated floor which was great. The location is pretty good with a few restaurants nearly. And less than 10 minutes to walk to the tram/bus station at Solli where it is then fairly easy to get around the city. Too be honest it’s not too far to walk into the centre either which we did several times. One thing to remember is that unless you pay extra there are no cleaners during your stay. This didn’t bother us as we wouldn’t change bedding and towels daily at home. On our last morning we followed the guidelines to take our own rubbish and recycling to the bins in the basement area before checking out. A wonderful apartment which we would definitely recommend and revisit should we come back to Oslo.
Oslo City Center
Oslo Central Railway Station is on the edge of the hotel, but you have to pick out the exit. In fact, you don't have to export. You can go straight through the mall. It is very convenient. It is convenient to take the train. Walking to various attractions, going to the statue park, we are also walking, this city has a lot of rain, with rain gear. Breakfast is very windy, eat well, fruits and vegetables, continental breakfast. The front desk is welcoming and will meet each other every day. The size of the room is ok, and the entrance to the train station can be seen from the window.

Liked · Location was excellent, 10 minutes walk from station or 2 stops on the tram. Very central so shops, restaurants, marina were all within a short walk. Public transport within 2 mins. Room was spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed, maybe extra pillows would have been nice. We had a 7th floor room with balcony. Double glazing was good and completely shut out any road noise. Shower was good and nice big fluffy towels. The room was equipped with Nespresso machine, kettle, iron and ironing board (pop up), hairdryer, safe and slippers. Breakfast was a good selection with bacon rolls, a waffle machine, noodles, hot and cold choices and lots of fish and fruits, and also pastries. Everyone should be able to find something. Staff were very friendly. Bar prices in line with Oslo standards. Will definitely stay again as I hope to return when the weather is warmer.
