Exceptional hotel! All at the maximum: room cleaning, staff friendly, breakfast rich with fresh and well-assorted products. Well heated ambiences despite the huge spaces; rooms with home and super large bathroom with shower and bathtub. You can't wish better! Compliments to Melia! Surely we'll come back! Outdoor free parking possibilities. The only small neo is the distance from the center, but not too far. Good staff boys!

The hotel does not have a lobby, the space is cramped, the interior and furniture are slightly cheaper, and the price is not the same as the four stars. Fortunately, the location of the hotel is very good, only five minutes walk from the old city. In addition, the booking information says that the hotel can provide parking spaces for guests, which is just needed for self-driving guests. When we arrived near the hotel, we found that the entire street, including the hotel's private parking lot, was blocked. It turned out to be a parade of Easter. It was impossible to stop and drag the baggage to a hotel 100 meters away. We had to park temporarily, very hard to push the luggage to sign in, ready to find the far away parking lot immediately after the formalities, sorry that the traffic police aunt has been placarding. The front desk of the hotel was not willing to help explain to the police, nor was it willing to pay for the entire parking lot, showing a way of not accepting responsibility. Knowing that the guest's parking space will be cancelled during the festival, without prior notice to the customer, it is convenient for us to make other arrangements. When things happen, they have a ”nothing to do with me” posture, despise it! In addition, the breakfast at this hotel is also very general.

A good or luck have chosen this hotel for a quick visit to Braga since the hotel itself is located in the monument to visit (bom Jesus do monte) and very close to another point of interest (basilica de Sameiro) The hotel is an old and safe hotel would be a good repas, but it is clean, beautiful and very good location. Reasons for oversight to give you a very good assessment.

Great views. The location alone makes it 4 or 5 stars. Right next to Bom Jesus, lots of walking trails, garden, children's park , outdoor exercise equipment, very small but cute and romantic lake with boat rentals in walking vicinity. Note, you have to go thru security gate to access parking area of all 3 or 4 hotels in same area. The hotel is a refurbished older boutique style hotel, which we loved. Clean, comfortable, quiet and room darkening shutters.

15 mins to the historic centre but the hotel, as for most of Braga outside the old town, in a commercial and tired area. Perfectly pleasant walk to the historical core of the city that is worth exploring, we used the free walking tour which was great. We took one of the rooms with a/con which was clean and cool with a balcony facing traffic. Breakfast for 12 euros was OK but the big surprise were the bars. On the 1st October when we stayed the bar on the 8th next to the pool was shut, I am guessing because 'bathing season' was over and the remaining bar on the 1st was very quiet, lacking atmosphere and would not serve a glass of wine to me only bottles!!! Do not come here for any ambience or evening relaxation but fine as a bed for the night.

Good space, cool, good care, however, they didn't want to borrow us two collars! Yes, they couldn't borrow us! I seemed to have a work in the room above, pq we listened to a burning noise! And we had the impression of having a party in the room next door, with music and we talking very loudly. What was resolved as soon as we talked the reception. But the fact that we didn't lend two collars left a lot to desire! We rethink once again!

We stayed 3 nights in this delightful hotel as our base for exploring the region. The top floor suites look bigger in the online photos than they actually are, yet the room was comfy and we loved hearing the bells chime. Please be aware that the elevator is narrow. The breakfast is the usual fare of yogurt, cheeses, breads, and fruits. Our western-facing windows permitted us to see the sunset over the Arco da Porta Nova. Located at one end of the main shopping street, we had lots of options of cafes and restaurants as we strolled towards the central square area. It is also directly across from a small bakery cafe. Being a university town, we arrived just as new students were being initiated into their academic units and marching around in colorful groups singing songs until 4am, Since we had a rental car, going to Peneda Geres naitonal park was an easy drive and we enjoyed hiking and then returning to the hotel. The hotel recommends the Park Center (R. Cardoso Avelino 25, 4700-219) which is a short (10 minute) easy walk slightly uphill to the hotel. In October, the Park Center was mostly empty and quick to get in and out.

Super-centric hotel, small, I imagine newly renovated since the facilities were very good, very sympathetic and pleasant all staff, the rooms (the 102 ) very well perhaps a little small, for my taste you would miss a little bigger to be more out of the ground, those that give to the pedestrian street listen some noise when people pass crying, the right breakfast has almost everything to make a good breakfast but the room is small and The hotel is very comfortable and the hotel is very comfortable.

We initially planned to stay in Braga for three days and then travel throughout the region. We liked the city, and especially this wonderful small hotel, so much that we stayed for a full week, and used it as a base for visiting other towns. Our room was quite pleasant, with modern decor, a very comfortable bed, and a decent sized (and attractive) kitchen area. Some people have complained about the fact that the shower has a glass wall that looks out onto the room, but you can lower a shade for more privacy if you wish. The location is amazing, 1/2 block from the cathedral but located on a small alley which was very quiet despite the lively seen in the cathedral plaza. The staff is very friendly and goes out of their way to make you comfortable. I would absolutely stay here again.

We went to the family in a weekend. Hotel urgently needs rehabilitation works, sticks with nodes, screws and dirty paintings, toilets with very old polyban, with ferry and with brands that no longer go out with cleaning. It is a pity, because it has a beautiful view and a great potential. A little lunch with a small variety of fresh products (which had fruit enlaced), I think it is not justified, at least at the weekend they should have more choice of fresh fruit and eggs.

Only 5 kilometers away from Braga, so how can there be so much peace! ???? The quality of service is outstanding! The service is very attentive, professional and discreet. We had dinner in the restaurant... Very happy! Meals, desserts, wine, quiet, peaceful music, the right tone... We like it. I highly recommend it to people who like and need silence, nature... and who have dated a 29-year marriage and helped raise 3 good children. Hot, but still so!

[To Accor members] Am not sure if Mercure in the same city is a better choice if you are as me a loyal Accor members unfortunately. As a diamond member, I have my stay here during weekend. Luckily I asked before having breakfast as I’m told that I don’t have my complimentary breakfast, not here in Braga for anyone! As checked in the Accor page, this Braga Ibis is indifferent and shall offer the same as all other participating Accor hotels. Be disappointed by the welcome drink and the missing “welcome gift”. Not even a bottled water / muffin / so…. [To everyone] I guess we like to choose Ibis because of the reliability of the standard and quality versus the price. Here in Braga Ibis Centro, be surprised. Refer to my photo attached and find yourself in a room with mould. It’s not always easy to communicate to the staff for a change of room especially it’s already late. I’m sure there are quite a lot of other alternatives around. The decor is definitely outdated. Very unfriendly socket locations and so on…as you can expect from a hotel in the 90s. BTW, It’s not at a particularly quiet location.

The Bom Jesus site is busy during the day but dead at nighttime. There is no bar or restaurant at this hotel and the food at the neighbouring sister hotel was so poor we did not eat it. In the neighbouring village all 3 restaurants were shut so we went without evening food 3 nights running. The staff at reception were friendly and did their best but could not make up for the lack of facilities. There were no bottles of water in the room, none at reception and no place / shop to get water at the time we arrived (6:30). Room was tired although the view from the window was excellent. Braga has plenty to offer but is a €10 taxi ride away. Better staying in Braga.

This is located alongside the main railway station, a 5-10m walk into the old quarter. With parking underneath - shared with the station - at only €5 a day. (12.00-13.00). It is basic but has everything you need as a place to put your head down, or to eat and drink in the hotel as well. We didn't eat there so can't comment on the quality fo the food. The staff were pleasant, helpful and efficient. There a snacks and drinks machine, as well as a bar and a restaurant. You can drive up to the front of it, to check in - before moving your car - with the card they give you - into the underground carpark.

We arrived too early to check in, but were able to leave our bags, and offered bottles of water. Anna checked us in and was wonderful. The room was spacious and had a small fridge, stovetop, microwave/oven, and dishwasher. The location was right next to the old city. The view from the outdoor patio was priceless. I would highly recommend this guesthouse.

Just back from a wonderful 10 days. Highly recommend this hotel. Very welcoming, clean and helpful staff. Every staff member we dealt with was polite. Breakfast, was bountiful and fresh. Room was large, comfortable and cleaned everyday. Pool area was very busy, but we expected that. Staff did the best to accommodate. Shame, building work was going on next door! It was VERY loud. We never ate evening meal in the restaurant. Amazing location. Lots of restaurants, shops, bars on the doorstep.

Ibis a 10 minutos andando del centro. Habitación amplia para ser un Ibis. Tiene como 2 ambientes, pero solo en uno hay un solo enchufe. El baño es pequeño. Sin secador. Los recepcionistas bastantes antipáticos y no hablan español. Cerca puedes aparcar, pero hay gorrillas que te piden 5€. Yo no dejaría el coche allí, por lo que lo dejamos en un parking público a 500m con el que tiene acuerdo el hotel y cobran 10€ el día. El desayuno vale 6,5€ por persona. No merece la pena, es el peor desayuno que he visto. Solo pan, unos mini croissant, café, yogur y poco más. Muy escaso para lo que vale.
