The advantage of Accor group hotels is that they are near motorways and are therefore very handy for travellers. This location is no different , easy to find very close to motorway yet no noise from traffic interferes with your stay. In this case an outdoor pool allows the weary traveller to relax and have a swim and poolside drink. The room was clean and provided the amenities required but there was one drawback. That was the lack of restaurant facilities. There is a restaurant on site but the dinning choices were extremely limited. In this case we had to go into Montauban for a restaurant but due to a carnival or festival the town was pack with limited parking . We eventually found a suitable restaurant but it did take some time. Despite this minimal hassle I would recommend this hotel for the traveller, Staff very friendly and helpful, Room clean and comfortable. Does what it said on the tin so to speak. We used this hotel as a stop over on our way back to the ferryfollowing a driving holiday in Spain

Despite our room being non-smoking there was a very strong smell of cigarettes and body odour! The room was a little dirty: cobwebs under the table, the look of damp on the wall. BUT the price was unbeatable, the staff were friendly, our dog was welcome and we slept very well. For a cheap stop over it's perfect!

We have stayed in many of the B&B hotel chain all over France. To give them a two star rating sometimes is unfair and this is one that certainly needs to be recognised as above two star. The building and car park were clean and smart, good impression on arrival. We checked ourselves in, always an easy process once you have booked online. We had a family room which sleeps four and we were three adults. The building smelt of bleach and was very clean. Our room was compact, in the usual B&B style . Our family room was not as shown in previous management photos (which look really modern) but the old style of double bed downstairs and staircase leading up to two single beds. The bathroom is located under the stairs. I have to admit one side of the double bed did just about touch the staircase so it was a little tight getting in and out of the bed on that side and the bathroom, like all is very small. But could we fault it? Room wise no, we know the chain and it is the usual layout. Bathrooms are always too small but they are clean, beds are comfy, linen is good quality and towels were fluffy. We slept really well. Breakfast was exceptional. We have never seen such huge crossiants and pain au chocolat, perfectly fresh and other breads equally wholesome. The crossiants were the best on our month long travels. The bacon and egg , often overcooked was equally as good. The hotel appears to be run by a couple who although they did not speak english were extremely friendly. Very attentive and have the place spotless. As usual the hotel is on an industrial estate, look for the Buffalo Grill, it is just behind it as we did not spot the signs easily. Tommy's diner is next door and there is a McDonalds ,Courtpaille and Del Arte all nearby. You do need a car to get into town. If we are passing through we will stay again.

Located close to the centre with free parking behind the hotel. This is an old Etape hotel and the rooms have not changed much from that concept. The room was larger than expected, we asked for a quiet room and it was at the end of the corridor without neighbours. The other guests were very noisy in the corridors late at night and there was a strong smell of smoke outside the rooms . The shower put water all over the floor outside the cubicle and there was no soap in the room. Check in was easy with English speaking staff and the whole place was clean and tidy. It does have a lift.

We were welcomed warmly by the hosts of this charming Chambre d’hote. We had arrived later than anticipated as it was a long drive from Spain, but Veronique made us very welcome and brought water and glasses up to the room so we could have a pastis... The room and bed were very large and comfortable along with a lovely bathroom with bath and shower. A very good breakfast the next morning set us up for our next long day of driving. Would recommend highly. Only one slightly negative thing was we arrived after dark and the sign on the front of property isn’t lit, so we couldn’t find it at first.

Firstly, the positives. The room (once we had it changed from the first one, see below) was lovely. Large, clean, modern, a huge, really comfortable bed, effective aircon (although it did turn off during the night, but maybe a previous occupant had set it to do so?). The common areas were beautiful (although the upper floor carpets needed vacuuming!), the pool and restaurant courtyards were very pretty, as were the inside common areas. However, the service was very poor. We arrived late as there was a fair on and lots of roads leading to the hotel were closed. No mention was made of this in the booking confirmation, which would have been helpful. On arrival we were allocated a room on the first floor, next to the lift. Whilst a nice room, it stank of drains. Very, very badly. We went back to reception, where the receptionist seemed unsurprised and unconcerned, but immediately moved us to a different room. The bistrot seemed to be closed so we asked about a small plate of charcuterie or similar. The receptionist said she would ask a colleague. We waited, but no answer was forthcoming so we went into to town to eat. We decided to have dinner at the hotel, and the only table they had was for 9pm. We accepted this but arrived at 8.15 for a drink, and asked the greeter if she would let us know if a table became free before 9pm. We waited in the bar area right next to the restaurant. At 8.50 we asked about our table, and were shown to a table for 2 that had been empty since we arrived. We were then ignored for a full 20 minutes whilst our waitress cleared other people's plates. We were not offered a wine list or aperitif or a menu. We had to ask for each of these. The wine list came on a tablet and there were no wines by the glass on it. When a waiter finally came he said they did have wines by the glass and what did we want. Hard to say, as we had no list, but we ordered a red and a white. In the end I found the by the glass menu on their website and was not surprised to see that my red was the most expensive one!! The waitress, who was making a great show of being exasperated by her job and colleagues (and customers), bringing orders out, looking around theatrically with an air of "now who's could this possibly be?" eventually came to take our order, which, in desperation, we had already given to the wine waiter. Our food finally arrived, cold, on cold plates. We sent it back. It came back on incineratingly hot plates, yet the food, somehow, was only just warm. We ate it anyway, and it was, well, ok, but for €19 for the plat du jour, I expected more than ok. We ordered the desert and some dessert wine. The dessert wine came, and the waiter asked what dessert we would like. We ordered dessert again. The service was shambolic and tectonically slow. Overall, this is a lovely hotel, but the staff are either under too much pressure or not trained enough. Sort this out and you have a great little hotel in a beautiful old abbey

We checked in at about 5pm as there is only someone there between 5 and 7 to do so unless you want to deal with a machine. There was a man sitting in a white van right outside our ground floor door which opens right onto car park , he watched us moving in our suitcases etc then drove off to a corner away from the building, he was very suspicious looking. We went into our room and i looked out the window to see the man was now standing beside my car looking in its windows , i opened the door of our and was less than ten feet from him but he never moved very intimidating !. I went back into the room and observed him now he was looking in our room window and then standing right outside our door, we were being cased out . The lock on our door was bent as if previously forced( room number 2). We were the only two there at the time then an Italian registered car arrived and they parked beside me and i was watching this man and he was looking into that car right beside it too once they went into the room. He was definately up to something and had no fear of being seen . I went to the receptionist and reported this but the girl came out and said it was alright . it was only a couple of hours away from dark and we felt very unsafe as this mans behaviour was not normal, and when in a Foreign country it is not easy to phone the Police when one doesn't speak French very well. We didn't feel a bit safe and i am not easily frightened. We had a lot of expensive camera gear with us and our money all in the one room with him hovering outside our door and not a bit shy of staring at us , we had a shower and left taking the option of driving on and sleeping in our car rather than spending the night there . Of course we don't expect but would like a refund. I don't like to leave negative reviews but i would strongly recommend that you avoid this place if you want to feel safe for a good nights sleep. I have no doubt we would not have had a nights sleep without something either happening to our car, ourselves or our belongings. Spend a bit more and go somewhere safer than this rather bleak industrial setting where one feels totally vulnerable to theft .

This place needs to up its game as there is a Première Classe Hôtel adjacent to it at almost half the price per night. We only stayed for one night. The room itself had seen better days but the bed linen was clean and of good quality. We had a welcome tray of tea and coffee wit biscuits and we were grateful for this. The large shower room had a toilet that was so high off the floor that you almost needed a step up to use it! There was plenty of hot water to shower with but the towels were diabolical with one of them appearing to have dried blood on it. I used our own towels from our suitcase. The area around the Hotel is very quiet considering that it is next to the A20 and the cul-de-sac road used as an overnight parking spot for heavy goods vehicles. We did not have dinner or breakfast at the Hotel. We bought pastries and bread from the large Boulangerie on the roundabout on the way back to the motorway. You can also get coffee here. All in all this Hotel is very convenient due to its location but more attention to detail is required especially with regard to the upkeep of the facilities.

My husband and I had a reservation at Castel Bois Marie in Montaubon, France on 30 September for 2 nights (CF# 18985B0312210). Our flight to Toulouse was delayed by several hours. I emailed and telephoned the proprietor to advise her of our situation. There was no reply. My husband emailed in French. There was no reply. I finally got through to her by telephone and she told me to call when I reached Toulouse. I did this and she let me know that someone would be there to unlock the security gate and let us in. By then it was about 10pm and I told her it would take at least an hour for us to get there. Unfortunately the exit we needed to take off of the A highway was closed so we had to find another route to take in order to get to the property. We arrived shortly after 11pm and rang the bell at the gate to have someone let us in. After about 10 minutes of trying we called the proprietor again. She gave us another number to call but there was no answer. She texted us 2 other numbers for us to call and again, no answer. So, we were stuck outside of the gate at 1130pm with nowhere to go. After I texted to let her know that no one was answering at the numbers she gave me I never heard from her again. We were forced to find another available hotel at that late hour. If she had just told us that we could not be accommodated at that late hour we could have found a place to stay in Toulouse. She could have made arrangements to have to gate opened in advance of our arrival. In addition, there was a vicious barking dog on the other side of the gate and a sign was posted which warned us that it was a guard dog. There was no possible excuse for what happened to us. They could have let us know in advance that they were unable to accommodate is that night. The proprietor clearly didn't care.
