Receptionist William is very educated and gentle, congratulations! The room was clean and smellful. The beds were good, the shower was excellent, and even a hair dryer, and a simple breakfast was made, but it was the best to meet our needs. I just leave as a comment for improvement: the room TV was broken (as our stay was small and we don't care we don't talk to the hotel about it, but I think it was important since it was one of the items offered in the daily). And another point is that, despite the cleaning, I had cheap bathroom furniture, perhaps because it was a little old, and it was generally worth the cost-benefit.

Very good breakfast and the Stilo Restaurant in the lobby near the pool. The SPA is very nice and having sauna and jacuzzi. Overall the experience has been more than satisfactory and it has been very nice to feel the hotel cares about its guests. Sometimes I had to leave to run some errands but there would always be someone of the staff keeping an eye on my Mother when I was not around. Thank you all heaps for the great stay and I shall be back! I also should make a remark I usually stay about one month in every hotel I go and therefore I have all the elements to express a legit opinion. A good hotel does feel like you are actually home and Laghetto is exactly like that. Kudos for all and most obliged once more! Anyway, I did hear the rumor that a staff member is about to write a mystery book portraying the Laghetto Stilo and all the staff as the actual book characters. Ain’t it tops? Another staff member working in the Stilo restaurant is a great singer and you see a great deal of talented people out and about, which depicts the hotel as a power force not only as a great place to stay but as well as a place where true talent runs in the veins. The drinks are superb and the food is so fine that you can come back from the beach and feast. In a certain way, Laghetto Stilo does remind me when I was a little child in Wales, where every summer I could watch the very same scenes from the hotel where I used to stay. Art, memories, nice people and a nice infrastructure. What else could someone wish for? I do enjoy a place where talent runs around and besides that, even the linen is top quality and so are the rooms. The access to the beach is very easy and all in all, the place grows on you as times passes by. Not actually willing to carry coals to Newcastle, I found here a great atmosphere and that’s the same one others should experience. They will try to accommodate every demands, or simple whims and they are all deeply experienced staff bearing know how enough to grant you what you are asking for or very close of it. The pool is enough, the hotel needs not to portray any ostentation because what they have is enough. It’s like finding a pot of gold belonging to a leprechaun at the end of a rainbow, only this time, the leprechaun will share his gold with you. Keep up with the great job! |5km from city center Great position very near Copacabana beach, very good buffet breakfast, al the staff at the hotel were helpful and friendly, except one Few things were not perfect: The buttons on the elevators sometimes they worked sometimes they didn't, making it difficult to do simple things like going to out room/breakfast area/ reception. The hotel, despite on the online reservation was confirmed that we could pay cash at the arrival, deducted to my credit card the 1st night 2 days before our arrival. Because on the day of our arrival we did not pay the other 3 nights in full, the following day they blocked our magnetic card key, until the outstanding payment was paid. I think it was very mean, because anyway they have my credit card details in case ”we run away” as I mentioned to the man at the reception This member of staff in particular, working from the evening, once I paid in full in cash, he did not want to provide for a receipt. I explained I needed an evidence that I handled the remaining amount, but he said I would have the receipt only at check out. I didn't want to create an issue, but only after politely insisting I received the receipt. All the remaining staff at reception, at the breakfast and the cleaners, were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good, the only problem was that the cooked food was not kept hot, so it was only available to eat cold, and that was a pity because breakfast is one of the strenght of this hotel's facility

The young staff in the morning were just as helpful, bending over backwards to help ,felt so sorry couldn’t tip them , as hadn’t expected to need anymore cash as supposed to be en route to Heathrow ! I knew coming in that I wouldn't be receiving luxury, spaciousness, or any big perks common at higher-end chains—I booked for the unbeatable $29 price and wonderful location, and nothing more. So if you’re expecting anything extra, this isn’t the property for you. But I really enjoyed my stay!! The staff, especially a super nice woman at check-in whose name I dreadfully forget, made my visit special. Everyone was willing and excited to help with anything I needed, including supplying me copious bottles of water to last me the week. When I needed a wheelchair-accessible taxi to pick up my wheelchair when it lost battery, the aforementioned woman was so kind and helpful for calling local companies and their drivers to find someone on a moment’s notice. Thank you! The rooms were definitely small and basic, but they were clean and in far better shape than most Ibis properties I would end up staying at while in Europe in June 2022. My electric wheelchair just barely fit through the door and into the space. Knowing that all I really needed at a hotel on my RJ trip was just a bed to lay my head on, the Ibis Budget provided me that, put simply. I also requested a room facing the interior apartment block area (i.e. away from the street), and noise levels were perfect for my sensitive ears. Traffic in RJ isn’t too noisy anyway, but I recommend these rooms for anyone in any case. Stays like these are what make me grateful to be a loyal newcomer to Accor and their rewards program. I very much enjoyed my stay, and for your wallet’s sake, I recommend booking here. And the location…mere blocks from Copacabana! Thank you!

For some reason, the hotel does not have a sheltered porch for alighting, but this seems to be a common thing across many hotels in the area. It is a quieter area compared to copacabana, which is honestly just nearby. Doesn’t feel unsafe at night and the receptionist is generally helpful. However room turn over service is quite inconsistent. Some days only the bed is made and there doesn’t seem to be any new towels added, but overall it’s a pleasant experience.

Spend the day by the beautiful pool, then walk the 5 minutes to the centre of Lapa in the evening! Its a fairly ”adult” hotel, but its suits us because of the location and the babies love the pool ! I would recommend staying here one or two nights to experience the nightlife, Spanish steps and the local vibe ! Breakfast is good but the ”oasis” factor is the big deal ! Downsides, checkin can be slow, but they promise me they are working on that, and for the price which is an absolute bargain most of the time makes this a no brainer ! The rooms by the pool are perfect and worth the little extra, the staff are great! I stay here once a month and cant recommend it highly enough ! Of course you get what you pay for, there is no parking, and it can get busy, but as someone who stays in hotels a lot, I recommend this as literally an oasis in the centre of the party district ! And its great value for money !

You will have breakfast right in front of the beach, you get the best view from the rooftop pool (which is heated, for me is a plus).
Negative points: cheapest room is incredibly small and has a terrible view. Recepcion is very busy all the time and 20% of the staff are not friendly, but the other 80% are.
You can't expect them to book you a restaurant for example, and if they do they will not be very happy.
My suggestions for Arpoador: i love your place, i have been there 3 times and i will return. It would be nice to have a welcome drink on arrival, and the pool upstairs could have some relaxing music. Also staff with a little more training would be perfect! Some of them are already perfect.

Cost me $90 with an official airport taxi but for this uninitiated female solo traveller I just wanted to take the easiest route for arriving late on a Saturday night. Very much a young backpackers place, you will party and you will drink here if you don't go to the 'English' bar across the road which is where I did go and had a grand time chatting to the bar staff who were a bit older than my fellow bedmates (who were all lovely, by the way). It's as clean as it can be for a quick turnaround place, free drinks between 7-8pm and the staff were just lovely. Helpful and friendly. Short walk from the beach. I felt safe wandering at night here and the Metro is a block or so away. Only tiny grumble is that the photos on tripadvisor are not of the Ipanema site; it's a lot, lot smaller!

The boy (Gabriel or Daniel) a little more sought, finished my check in. The room was sad, between the air conditioning and the wall had a hole that lets the wind and the whole noise of the street enter. I asked you to change my room, because my sleep is light, they said I was exhausted, even if I saw online availability, and I said that as a consumer I could ask for a refund, they said they would call me back, it never happened. I called again, this time, very angry, and a room was wonderfully free. The boy Gabriel went to my room, with good willingness to help me, took me to the other room that was really quiet (there was no balcony but at least no noise). I was tired and I didn't want to be a boring man who complains about everything, but the photos say on themselves. Shaped towels, furnished shirts, all damaged in the micro-room, breakfast with old taste, guest struggle at the reception that gave up to police and break, finally ... in a day that is not so cheap, for me was the worst experience of I have been home in a luxury and economic location, and I know when the hotel is simple but honest, let me go away from the garden, and, to worse, I found a cheap room on the second day. The ladder's lady shouting high early morning, waking up ... Even so, all in this hotel is horrible. The location, far from everything, has no coffee shop nearby.

|1.7km from city centerSince we got to the hotel we got one disappointment after the other. 30mins to do the check-in, the staff was not organized at all and very lazy. We had a reservation for 2 rooms, one was on 2nd floor and the other one on the 6th, where in between we had 3 parking lots and couldn't go to each other rooms. No help there and of course no information about it. The rooms were very VERY dirty, the bathroom and most important the toilet hasn't been cleaned since at least the previous tenants. The floor was full of dust and dirt and there were trash under our bed. We stayed for 2 nights instead of the 4 we have booked and when we explained why we leave they were ”shocked” but not enough obviously for them to do something about it. But this is not even the worst thing. After we left, we realized we forgot our wallet inside the security box of the one room. Number 277. I called the hotel on Wednesday night 22/02 to tell them about the wallet and the guy who picked up told me: ”oh yes we found a wallet”. When I asked why they haven't called us I got no answer, so I said keep it there we will pass by to pick it up and informed him that the wallet has money inside. His name is Rodrigo. Today 24/02 we passed by and no one knew anything about a wallet, so after 30 mins of waiting for them to find the guy how we spoke to on the phone, they brought the wallet EMPTY! The supervisor, Pamela, said that they found the wallet on the bed, inside a bag, inside the room but knew nothing more about it. So the wallet, walked out of the security box, got inside a bag, layed on the bed waiting for us to pick it up, but the 400 real that were inside, flew out on their own. As I informed the supervisor we expect our money to be brought back to us, cause if not we will proceed to all the necessary actions.
