Me and my mom stayed the night here to be able to catch an early ferry to Germany the next morning. The hostess was supportive of our late arrival and early departure and made sure we were comfortable and got a proper breakfast. I wish that we would could have stayed under more relaxed circumstances and really enjoyed the garden and surroundings more! Will definitely return if I get the chance.

In 1972, I was 24 and had sold everything I owned to embark on life in Europe. I lasted four months and during that time, I stayed in many hostels and B&Bs, many not nearly as attractive as this one! It was a pleasure to find "Systrar & Bonor" in Trelleborg, Sweden! The location is perfect for a stopover on the way to a ferry! The B&B is part of a Cafe/B&B combination. There are 9 rooms and a lovely cafe. There are three very clean showers and three toilets that are shared among the 9 rooms. I strongly recommend wearing flip flops or water shoes, as the linoleum floor in the hallway is very slippery (I say this from my experience - finding myself on the floor.) The room we had was very clean and comfortable. I appreciated the crisp linens and the ability to have the windows open! An added benefit to the open windows is the wakeup call seagulls...barking like mad at 06:00. There's a very attractive dining room/sitting room for B&B guests and, best of all coffee was available at 06:30. Another nice surprise was finding a large and very well stocked wine/liquor store below and beside the B&B. Our stay was very pleasant and we recommend Systrar & Bonor!

July 2019 - stayed in Trelleborg with family & friends for a party just outside Trelleborg. The location is in the town so good for getting about and shopping etc. The hotel is very basic and I would liken it to a budget hotel in the UK- in some ways not even as good. We stayed in a couple of rooms and both bathrooms were small and crampt. The shower head had no hook and had to be held in the hand to shower. both showers leaked all over the bathroom floors. No air con so the windows had to be open and lots of noise so couldnt get to sleep and in the mornings very noisy gulls about. Staff very friendly. breakfast adequate. Be careful as double rooms on 1st floor are too small for a 3rd bed so they expect children up to 13 to share a double bed with 2 adults!!!

When I say super convenient this hotel is literally a few steps away from where the shuttle bus from the ferry drops you off! So, if like me, your ferry arrives at 22:00, you appreciate the location. The hotel embraces the ferry port check-in building as indeed you cross above the check-in desks following the thoughtfully painted “footsteps” to access the lifts to the rooms. The restaurant and bar are super modern and the breakfasts were very nice. They have their “own” black tea which you can use the mesh infusers provided to get a lovely morning cuppa with fruit aroma! They have this tea for sale, so it’s worth buying a small bag. The “night” receptionist, Nina, was jolly and chatty and friendly. Just what you want after a late arrival. I would stay here again just to,chat to her! Rooms were large and mine had a lovely view of all the containers waiting to be shipped. If you opened the window it was noisy, but their double glazing was super soundproof, so a good nights sleep.Access to the hotel is by your wireless room key, with the issue of security addressed. Good point! I was immediately onward on my travels so didn’t get to see Trelleborg.

Located about 15 minutes' walk from the station, close to the reconstructed Viking fortress, this is a fine hotel in a lovely Victorian building, with excellent service. We enjoyed the small sauna and outdoor jacuzzi. The evening meal in the restaurant was delicious, and there was a good, very varied Scandinavian breakfast buffet. The room was larger than we expected and very comfortable. We will be back.

The hotel is ideally located, only a couple of minutes walk from Malmö terminal. Breakfast is nice and there’s a good selection of choices. Facilities are very basic, but the hotel is very clean and the staff are very accommodating. Restaurant has a good range of options at average prices (for Sweden). Brilliant for a couple of nights, but the airport is in the middle of nowhere, so if you’re without transport it can feel very isolated. If you have a stop over, definitely worth a stay.

'Avoid like the plague!' - we booked several months in advance what was supposed to be a weekend treat to ourselves. What they deliberately didn't tell us was that the spa was undergoing a long term major renovation. Our accommodation in a chalet adjoining the main hotel was very dated, tired and worn and seriously in need of renovation itself. Access to the spa was across a muddy track. The swimming pool was dark and dingy and the steps into the pool were a death trap! Men in the gym had access to the womens changing room and when we went into the sauna to relax the workmen started up with their hammer drills on the walls! We demanded our moneyback and left immediately. You have been warned! You are much better advised to drive the extra kilometre to the excellent hotell mossbylund which was the same price and has much, much better facilities.
