As travel was impossible in this pandemic, I turned to staycations at many different properties within Singapore and chanced upon the Clan Hotel which only opened its doors in 1st March 2021. I decided to make a booking and I must say it provided a very different experience as compared to the bigger international chains which I stayed at. You will first be welcomed with an interesting tea ceremony while your check in is being processed. I was served by Sam and he provided a very detailed explanation of the "ritual", the concept of the Clan Hotel and what each item which was served meant. The tea and biscuit was delicious, and Sam noticing that we were enjoying it so much gave us a second serving without us asking. We then interacted with duty manager Nurul who presented us with our room keys and gave us a detailed rundown of the amenities of the hotel. She was professional yet personal at the same time, something which doesn't always come hand in hand. We were chatting about how delicious the tea was and she offered a second variant to us, the cold brew tea. I was so blown away right from the start of my staycation, where in Singapore can you experience such level of Service and attention to detail. I also went for a precinct tour around the hotel and was led by Joyce. Once again just like her other colleagues, she was so personable and knowledgeable. The tour made us feel like tourist in our own country and we enjoyed it very much. What elevated my experience further was how the staff could remember your name and greet you by name every time you exit and come back to the hotel. A very familiar "Welcome back Mr Joel" coming from the front desk on level 1 or when I see them in the hotel made me really feel like home, or should I say "Part of the Clan". Thank you to Nurul, Sam and Joyce for this really wonderful experience!

Hotel's service was worth the value, staff are all very welcoming and assisted us with the check in as soon as we stepped into the lobby. As we requested for a room with a good view and the room was still getting cleaned up by the housekeeping team, the management team offered us another room instead to not keep us waiting at the lobby for long. As it's the current covid situation, no birthday celebrations from the hotel is allowed so the management team gave me a box of chocolates instead. Overall stay was a pleasant stay for my birthday, would consider coming back again given the service rendered by the management team and the price point.

Booked the 1-for-1 promo and stayed with my parents for my dad’s birthday. Service was immaculate! Their guest lift was under renovation and seeing that I had two old folks with me, they offered for us to use the staff lift without even us requesting (and our room was on the second level)! I would highly recommend this hotel if you’re looking for something with a more vintage and cultural feel; my parents really liked the decor. Room size is okay and bed is comfortable. Special mention to the staff who received us, Derek Chen, for making our stay so memorable with his great personality and service!

The room at Fullerton Bay is very beautiful, charming and had a very nice view of the Singapore River. The service however fell short of my expectations. First, upon arrival for our check in it was pretty crowded and so we were directed by one the staff to the seating area to wait for our turn. The staff informed us that we will be served shortly once they have cleared the crowd. However, to our dismay we saw guests who arrived after us are being attended for check in first even though we have been waiting patiently for the past 15-20mins. Shouldn’t check in be done on a first come first serve basis? The next day during breakfast at La Brasserie, service was really slow. I’m not sure if they were understaffed because we had to repeat our orders 4 times to the restaurant staff before receiving our food. Shortly after being served our breakfast, the staff then prompted us it was the last order. It just felt like they were rushing us to finish our breakfast even though it took so long for them to serve the food. I initially had high hopes and were very excited for this staycation but the overall experience just doesn’t fulfill my expectations of the Fullerton service level.

Perfect hotel if you value location over service. Worst service ever experienced in any hotel. Due to the Corona virus our flight was delayed with one day. The hotel mentioned several times they would talk to the manager and come back with a solution. The day before we had to check out still no pro-active feedback received, the receptionist at service mentioned by then all was arranged and we could stay another day. When we returned to the hotel the next day after work the key didn’t work and another receptionist mentioned nothing had been arranged and we had to pay extra to get back in our room. 120SGD otherwise they wouldn’t unlock the door. Late checkout fee, including 10% service charge... Penny wise pound foolish. Never book here again.

Because I need to apply for a visa, I stayed here for 18 days and stayed at other hotels for two nights. This is a co-living hotel, so there is no private bathroom, but in reality, my experience did not feel inconvenient, and I rarely encountered other customers . The traffic location is very good. It is opposite to Chinatown Food Street. When you go out, there is a traffic light. There is a Maxwell Food Center on the left. The food inside is affordable and delicious. I often go to China Street Food to finish my meal and then go to Hailan Panmian. Fried fish noodles. It is also very close to the Chinatown interchange station of the NE and DT subway lines. It is very convenient to go to Sentosa or Sands or Merlion. Auntie Cong, who is in charge of cleaning, is also super nice and enthusiastic, serious and responsible. Next time I go to Singapore, I would prefer to stay here. The decoration style is also very simple and fashionable, and some romantic, very suitable for young people. Sign-in and sign-out are also very convenient, simple and convenient. If you don’t speak English, it’s okay to live here. In short, five-star praise, highly recommended.

Arrived at the hotel more than 1 pm, the staff checked me in. The geographical location is superior. The hotel turns left and goes a few hundred meters to go to Fanglin Pasar. The laksa on Renlong store on the second floor is expensive. It costs 10 coins and it tastes good. The Fujian Bak Kut Teh on the 1st floor is very good. The 4 bowls of coins are good. The soup and ribs taste good, but the herbs taste a little heavier. Turn right at the hotel and turn right for more than ten minutes. There is the Maxwell Food Center on the street. Every day, Hainan Chicken Rice is inside. Unfortunately, the day I went there was not open. I switched to Xingxing Hainan Chicken Rice. I walked about twenty minutes from the hotel to Merlion Park, and only five minutes' walk to Ya Kun for breakfast and coconut toast. It was very convenient to use Google navigation. In the alley near the hotel, there are still some murals of the early Tang people living in Nanyang. You can take a look if you have time.

The room is upstairs from the bar restaurant. There was low-frequency noise at night until two or three o'clock. The room is partitioned, and the sound of walking outside is obvious. People who sleep lightly should pay attention. Other hygiene is pretty good. It is very convenient for transportation, food and shopping nearby.

It was a very nice staycation I could've ever booked for my weddinng anniversary! Room are bigger then usual hotel room. Lots of space between bed and tv, I appreciate the space as we intended to stay most of the time in the room so we have space to walk around. Downside it says the room comes w a 2 meter lounge seat but there was only lounge stool instead but overall its still alright. Nice view 24/7 with the Marina Bay View! Totally going to have another round of staycation here.. missing it already! ☺️ *Since it's covid time, do come earlier than your check in time by half an hr as we are being seated to write declare forms while waiting for our turn to checked in.

I first stayed at the SEA Hotel back in 2014 as it was recommended by my aunt and uncle who always stay here when in Singapore. I love the place. It’s old and rustic (a throwback to another time) but for $100 SGD a night with a fabulous vegetarian buffet breakfast included (Kwan Im restaurant) and prime location in Bugis you couldn’t ask for anything more. Also when booking the staff are excellent in replying to queries and give very detailed information about getting to the hotel and airport transport options and nearby attractions. Free wifi was included and it was fast and reliable. The staff on the front desk were friendly especially the girl who checked me in. Bugis+ shopping mall (10 levels with cinemas, food/retail options galore and taxi rank) is less than 5 mins walk. I use this as a taxi pick up/drop off point to various attractions from the hotel. Bugis MRT Station is 5-10 mins walk and is on the airport line (10th station from the airport, with 1 change at Tanah Merah, cost only SGD 2.50) The Kwan Im Temple is right next door and worth checking out (it gets very busy with local worshippers). Directly outside is a pedestrian mall with a flurry of activity with market stalls and street vendors. The hotel is simple and rooms unadorned with only the basics but it’s all there and excellent value for money. They do request you leave your key if you go out and recollect (24 hour reception) but I conveniently forgot to do this most of the time and it was never a problem. Oh and don’t even think about bringing durians to the hotel!

The hotel is very close to Wenqing subway station, walk 5.6 minutes. The youth hostel is very small. It has a lot of capsule beds in one room, but the capsule room is well designed. It is very spacious to sleep alone. The closed door is your own private space. Bedding, lighting, safe, charging plug, usb, and mirror are all available in the capsule. The access to the card is safe, and the bathroom is clean. Although there are many people, this is still in place. With breakfast, it is simple cereal. And toast bread, coffee milk variety. The front desk attitude is very good, that is, one of the lights in my room is broken and cannot be turned off. The Indian brother first said that the light in each room could not be turned off. He lied. Actually, it was not. Later, he let him think of a solution. In short, the overall is a good hostel, you can choose this next time you go to Singapore, it is recommended ~~~~~~

I booked this place on a long layover in Singapore, and this place is so cool! Now, the showers and amenities are pretty much like most hostels (nothing special, but more than adequate), but the pod itself was actually quite nice! Inside feels very futuristic, and it comes with your own power outlets and a/c. Bedding and pillow were soft, and the Chinatown location is a plus!

Check into the hotel and wait for the nucleic acid test results. According to government requirements, the hotel first arranged to stay in an isolated room and could not leave the room. When ordering food, you can scan the QR code in the room and deliver the food quickly. The room was isolated, and the disinfection was done well. The smell of the disinfectant was unbearable. Fortunately, after staying for 6 hours, I received a negative test report in the mail. After forwarding the email to the manager on duty for about 10 minutes, the hotel rescheduled check-in, escaped from the isolation room, and life returned to normal. The hotel facilities are very new, located in the downtown area, connected to raffles city, convenient for sightseeing and shopping, and the rooms are quiet. The front desk and some staff in the hotel can speak Chinese, there is almost no language barrier, the check-in experience is very good👍

Sentosa Island
The plane was rescheduled and stayed in this new hotel for three days. I saw this when I planned to travel. At that time, there were no reviews on Ctrip. I wasn't sure. At the end of January, there were more than 20 positive reviews. I booked it for 3 nights and tried it. First of all, I booked the highest room type in the entire hotel, which was only over 50 square meters. The previous Capella was half the size. It turns out that many of the comments in the review set the basic square shape of more than twenty flats that the room was large. . I really don't want to talk. Since the best room type is only over 50 square meters, it is good to have good daylight. Look at the picture. All the windows are blocked by the wall and the daylight is not good. The newly opened hotel contains two hours of happy hour, and there is nothing to evaluate. Breakfast was ok, few categories and quality. If there is any need in the room, such as adding drinking water and not waiting for a body lotion, you have to wait a long time. When you call and change the wiring for another person, you don't know what you are going through. Besides talking about the convenient shuttle bus, this hotel does not have its own shuttle bus at all. Instead, it needs to go to a nearby hotel instead of having a car that goes to vivo City and Resorts World like Capella. All three days of stay require us to walk or take the MRT. Why compare with Capella? Because I spent almost the same money as Capella (one less than 5000, one nearly 6000) So the credibility of the previous review is almost huh. In the end, I spent my birthday at the hotel and told me when I checked in. I asked if I could upgrade to know that I had booked the best room, so I was told "I will surprise you, but I won't tell you yet." "OK, alright, wait until 9 o'clock on the birthday, send a simple cake. I gave a cake to someone who was anti-sugar for 1 year. I was really huh, huh, and finally the child took a small bite and threw it away.

The boneless chicken fried rice in the restaurant is very popular with children. The swimming pool is very clean, about 25 meters long. Because during the epidemic period, some meals are bought one get one free. It was originally not expensive for about 15 servings, and it became more affordable. Very quiet, you can take a walk in the nearby big park in the evening, very relaxing, recommended

Good aspects: clean environment, good host service and good sanitation; Disadvantages: The public areas in the villa are relatively cluttered. They are located in the industrial area, there are buses and restaurants within 300 meters of walking, and shopping is about 1.5 kilometers on foot. If you are working near the Woodlands area, you can consider it. After all, it is farther away than coming from the urban area. Living here can save time and fares. If you are really traveling, it is not recommended.

This place has very, very good customer service which i must first commend in the first sentence of this review. I was there for 3 days and two nights and there was the same staff throughout my stay, day and night. But he was friendly, helpful and jovian. It actually seemed like he was the one who did absolutely everything in the hotel. Be aware that this hotel IS in the red light district of Singapore. My room was a single bed room, and the only single bed room in the already small hotel. It was unfortunately crawling with ants along the wall, a tile or two had chipped or fell off. The wall hiding behind the toilet door wasn't to die for either, the room didn't feel complete, but it was livable. I did get the opportunity to go into the other rooms, the double bed room and family room. Those were definitely more decent, they felt cleaner and were better maintained. They even had a cosy feel to them. It comes with breakfast in the vicinity's small kitchen. Don't expect a wide spread or a 4 star hotel breakfast, but it was pretty decent for it's standard. Bread, a fruit, protein (eggs, tuna or others), rice or porridge. There are plenty of food around the area, hawkers mostly. But there are three mrt stations within walking distance, and Paya Lebar Square is about 900m (12 - 18min walk) from the hotel. In all, it isn't a place for fussy stayers. But if you're pretty easy going, don't want to pay premium prices for an accommodation and get your own room and toilet, then one can definitely consider this place.

I stayed here for three weeks, so I booked this hotel because it was alone. It’s just fine to live alone, but staying in a room without windows for the first week doesn’t feel good, because people need sunshine to get up in the morning. After booking in the next two weeks, I asked the clerk to arrange a window, but the window could not be opened, the sound insulation was not good, and there were occasional car noises at night. Other facilities are good, toilets and showers are clean, the kitchen on the second floor can receive water, free coffee, microwave, refrigerator, etc. There are yoga and small bars on the roof, and there are two restaurants on the first floor. You need to download the st signature app to self-check in, submit your passport photo and a deposit of 80 SGD (only credit cards are supported), usually there will be shop assistants in the afternoon, and most of them can speak Chinese. The location is particularly good, the city center is quiet, and it is 5 minutes walk from Tanjong Pagar MRT Station. It is directly opposite to the Maxwell Cooked Food Market, where there are many small shops for food.

If youre looking for a budget hotel for a staycation, this one hits the spot. Location wise, located near food stores and a mall, about 10-15 minutes from the mrt station. If you have your personal transport, you may find parking spots nearby but they are limited. The room itself is very small and has a tv with HBO service (kinda like netflix). They do not provide any toiletries such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, and miniature body wash and shampoos. They do provide hand sanitizers, tissues, towels and a hair dryer. The rooms are not soundproof but its okay. I have issues regarding the rooms plug sites as it is very inconveniently placed. The one near the dress table was placed inappropriately that it made it difficult to plug the hairdryer. They also didnt have another plug site at the othe end of the bed so if you are a couple, do take note that only charging from 1 side is available.

Chicken, sausages, boiled eggs, canola, broccoli, watermelon pieces, toast, jam, instant coffee, mixed fruit juice. Breakfast is almost the same every day, and the taste is ok. However, the location of the hotel is very good, that is, the room is too small, only a large bed can be put down, no free water, only two bags of instant coffee, boiling water must be picked up in a room on the second floor of the hotel. Stayed here during my trip, booked a family room for 4 (2 adults and kids). I booked using goibibo and they have an option for free breakfast and Dinner or lunch. What is good: at the center of little India, good number of Indian hotels and restaurants, staff's behavior / support is also good. Wifi Works with reasonable speed, they did provide an early check in. Cons: The rooms are small ( i guess this applies for most of the Singapore hotels), AC is slow (especially it takes lot of time to cool , though it works ), No room service provided. The hotel is very small may be around 12 - 15 rooms, so don't expect any extras. Bad: The hotel as such doesn't have a restaurant, they provide coupon (worth SGD 3) that can be redeemed for neighboring Hotel, where for dinner, they don't have VEG Option and break fast u won't get much items other than either dosa / parota with tea / coffee. Its quite misleading to say free breakfast / dinner. Rooms can be maintained well, rooms are so small that you really can't have much space to walk as well. Recommendation: Overall its an average hotel, in prime location near Little india.

I booked a club room for my birthday using the SRV vouchers but due to the passing of a loved one I had to postpone the trip and because of that I had to top up another $94 just to ammend my dates. After arranging for the ammendment, there isn't any email to tell me that the hotel is aware of my change in plans. I wasn't aware that you could check in early and we only reached there at 2pm, today we saw a couple checking in as early as 10am in the morning. As a guest maybe you want to take initiative to check with if an early check in is available. Not sure if there was a miscommunication of any sort but when we were going down to the Club Lounge to have our breakfast, we were asked to sit outside because they didn't allow hotel slippers to be in the lounge. But there are guests in the club longue who are in hotel slippers. I can't help but wonder why. Oasia has decent rooms but I think the feeling of being welcomed and having personalised service just isn't there yet. It wasn't a fantastic experience I feel.

Stayed there for a night fully paid using cash (not using singapore rediscover voucher) the boutique hotel is located just behind LKY Oxley home. Walking distance was 10 mins away from Orchard Central. The room is spacious and the toilet is clean. The hotel provides toiletries and we had our breakfast using the hotel voucher at Artisan Boulangerie Co located at Killiney Road which is 3 mins Walking distance with a choice of pastry and offered a top up of drink to large size at $1.05. The hotel is only a 2 storey property. Front desk staff was polite except that they were rushing through telling us the T&C and house rules of the hotel and there was a $100 deposit charged to my credit card which may take some time for the refund. Sound proof isn't that good as we keep hearing sounds of slamming door whenever someone opens their room door. Unfortunately the neighbour beside my room keeps singing like a crow and as the outerside of the showing area is partially enclosed, so we can hear it loud and clear in our room. Didn't get to use the pool due to the location as it is just right underneath the walkway to the lobby. There is no privacy as whoever enter or exit the hotel is able to just look down and that is where the pool is. Although it is clean and spacious but given the location and the condition of the hotel not being sound proof, I will not patronise again.

The hotel is very clean. The guy at the front desk can speak simple Chinese, but the room is a bit small, there is no place to enlarge a piece of luggage, two bottles of mineral water a day, two bags of instant coffee powder, no windows, but there is no uncomfortable smell in the room , About 20 minutes walk from the beach

This is the third hotel of our hotels hopping staycation and not surprisingly, turned out to be the most enjoyable especially from the kiddo perspective. This is also our second stay in Shang within a 6 months period; not my most preferred hotel but the kiddo most favourite. So I think Shang investing in kids friendly facilities is the right approach or business strategy. This time round, the check in took much longer thereabout 40 mins, probably due to the complexity of my packages but I also realized that the front desk staff who attended to me is most likely a newbie. However, he has performed mostly competently. The room, as usual, is well maintained and generally clean, except for a flattened bee found within the towel. This is a small issue to me since Shang is a garden in itself and bees are permanent residents but my wife was freaked out over this. The kiddo has a surprise waiting for him in the room and Shang has never failed to give the kiddos something to look forward to. Perhaps, what Shang could do further to provide a better customer experience is to also start incorporating a function for guests to check their billed items through the television. This could speed up check out times and also encourage guests to do express check out. Buds and Splashzone continue to be the highlights of the stay and they have continued to provide fun for the kiddo even during the Phase 2HA period. During our 2 nights stay, it was smacked right between Covid Phase 2HA and Phase 3HA, so our first night dinner has to be done in-room while the second day meals could be dined-in, with the exception of the second day package inclusive lunch which I have to do in-room as the Line restaurant did not open for lunch. There was a hiccup for the second day in-room lunch likely due to miscommunications between the front desk and room service but it was resolved. What impressed me was that be it the hotline or front desk calling back, they are quick to pick up the phone or get back to you. Overall an enjoyable stay.
