Hotels Near Thai Station In Riga
0.07km from Thai StationWe traveled to Riga to spend Christmas and stayed to this beautiful hotel for 6 nights. The great experience began from the reservation whereby the reservation officer was swift and efficient in our correspondence. We are a family of 5 so we booked two connecting rooms - with view of the National Opera. Prior to our arrival, I was contacted by the Lady in Red - a guest liaison concept which I found quite interesting - as upon arrival, I realized that she was dressed in red - hence the title (which I found quite inspiring). She had asked whether we’d be interested in having our rooms decorated for the season, have Christmas songs and be provided with hot chocolate and marsh mallows - at an extra charge of course - BUT IT WAS TOTALLY WORTH IT!! The atmosphere in our rooms was exquisite - the Xmas spirit was definitely present. The hotel rooms were super spacious, modern, smart (lighting / heating / communication with housekeeping) and included everything one could possibly wish for, during a stay abroad, away from home. Since I am an active member of the hospitality industry, I pay special attention to small details and I have to give them that - they were 5 steps ahead, thought of everything and applied great effort in reaching perfection. Housemaid service was also quite effective - turnaround in the afternoon / evening hours was done as expected at a 5 star hotel. Bottles of mineral water / espresso coffee and tea were provided every day free of charge. The breakfast selection was also appealing and the selection available was truly impressive. As I was fasting the first 3 days and I wasn’t eating meat or dairy products, I was very happy to realized that there were plenty of alternatives - everything delicious and interesting. There was a buffet selection available and IN ADDITION to that, we could order dishes from a menu, eg eggs Benedict or Florentine, pancakes, waffles, porridge, etc. Service at the restaurant was also satisfactory and the staff was helpful and polite. Stage 22, the restaurant at the top floor, has an amazing view of the city, although I’m guessing it must be awesome during the summer, when sitting outside is an option. I also particularly appreciated the fact that they had either a piano player playing the piano at the lobby, or a saxophone player. It added a lovely note to the general Christmas decoration. Finally, the fact that they have a CIGAR room for all the poor smokers who hate having to smoke in the freezing cold, is definitely a PLUS point, as they seem to be treating people equally. In all, we’ve had an amazing experience, nothing to complain about. People might think it’s expensive but last year in Hamburg, we paid around the same amount for an also 5 star hotel at a central location, however, it was only in Riga that I felt I got my money’s value!!
0.11km from Thai StationLocation is perfect but due to not having staff in nighttime makes it one scary place. Frontdoor is opened with a code at nighttime and how many knows it...? Lobby & restaurant is fasinatinginly renovated. Have a canarian bird and fishpond but rooms.. old, very old, wooden floors, dreadfull old beds and linen smelled dusty(?) very much. Room was so COLD... Staff was friendly and breakfast plenty & good. Used to be called hotel Mann-Tess and many signs were still on that name.
0.14km from Thai StationIn februari 2020 we (parents, two children (15/19)) made a city-trip to Riga for 6 days. We flew from Belgium to Riga and stayed in the old city-centre of Riga. Coming from the airport by bus, the hotel is a little bit hard to find, but during the week it proved a great place to stay. The location is literally in the oldest part of town, but in a quiet part without the noises of the night. The rooms we huge compared to what we are used to: one room was 8 x 8 m. and the other consisted out of two rooms. Breakfast was sufficient continental in buffet-style with every day a little variation. Be prepared that to go to the breakfast room, you have to leave the hotel and walk about 20 meters outside of the hotel. In wintertime with temperatures at about 0ºC it really wakes you up! The staff was friendly at the desk and during breakfast. To sum it up: this would be a hotel we would really recommend to friends who are travelling to Riga!.
0.2km from Thai StationLet’s all stop pretending we live in palaces. A 3x3 metre room with tasteful “shabby chic” decor and private bathroom is better than I can offer my visitors in my 5-bedroom house in West London. And my visitors are always complimentary. The room was clean, smelt fresh and was bright and comfortable. It cost about a third of the price of the anonymous business hotel I used the previous night. Breakfast was unlimited self-serve in a nearby canteen with and perfectly fine. I booked for one night and stayed for two. I lived for five years in a monastic school in England. This all felt rather familiar - but luxurious by comparison. Pros: It’s right in the heart of the old town. It’s a historic, pretty building which everyone stops to photograph. I used to sit on my deep windowsill pretending to be a local and looking down on the action. Cons: It’s right in the heart of the old town. So expect a bit of noise at night despite the double windows. And reviewers, lay off the young guys who man the desk. They are not unfriendly, they are just Latvian - and they do a perfectly good job. If you want everyone to pretend they’re your best friend, go to Disneyland.

0.24km from Thai StationI arrived at this hotel on Sat 05 Sept 2020 for 2 night stay. O eas impressed by the greeting from the reception member of staff on duty. She was very helpful and pleasent. And great customer service. I think the staff in this hotel are exceptional good and deserve suitable praise for this! The breakfast was supurb and extremely good value for money. The room was very nice with great bed and all extremely clean .The location is great ealking distance to mostly every place in Old town and City . I cannot fault this hotel and would love to stay again. 9/10 score.
0.24km from Thai StationStayed here for 3 nights in a one bedroom apartment no.22. It was in the best location right in the middle of the old town. Included in the stay was a buffet breakfast at the restaurant below, of which there was a great selection for any diet. The apartment itself was really beautiful, check in was easy and the owner was very helpful and explained check in on whatsapp. The beds were very comfy but the pillow was too thin, also seemed to be feather which I am allergic to so could not use any of the decorative pillows either.
0.27km from Thai StationDoma hostel was a great place to stay in Riga, with a perfect location in the heart of the old town. There were twelve of us staying in one room (for a stag do, of course), but it was pleasantly roomy and airy. Beds were bunk beds, but very comfortable (if a bit rickety!). Only one toilet and two showers for two rooms, but we didn't have any issues. The room might have some soundproofing issues (as there's a door, but no wall above), but we had no issues. The owner was very hospitable, giving us recommendations, allowing us to leave our bags when checking in and not kicking up any fuss when she had to buzz in a few of us very early (or late) in the morning (with all the keys in the room). Ps. We only saw the first floor where the reception was, but there other rooms above.
0.32km from Thai StationWe often try to get away between the busy Christmas-New Year festivals, this was no exception. We arrived by foot after catching the local bus, which is really easy (buy your ticket in the little Narvestan shop before boarding, cheaper and the assistant speaks very good English). The hotel is easy to find and we had a warm welcome on arrival. We were a good couple of hours early but luckily our room was ready which was really nice. We had a room on the 5th floor and as I had asked for a quiet room was on the back side of the hotel and yes it was quiet. The bed was a good size and comfy, there was a desk which had tea & coffee plus a mini bar which I always even if just use to chill my water. We had a big tv (didn’t turn it on as we were so busy) an air-con unit which we did use as the radiator worked very efficiently, warming the room until it was too hot even after turning it down. Also plenty of storage and a small safe for valuables (ask for the key at reception). The well decorated bath room was as big as you need with toiletries, a hairdryer, plenty of towels and a nice sized shower cubicle. The first morning arriving for breakfast we found that there were just enough tables and chairs for the people who were there at the similar time. This maybe due to it being the festive season it did seem there were limited staff in the resturant these guys were trying to refill the food and beverages which meant the tables were not getting cleared very quickly. It was not a drama for us Brits but there were some others that were grumbling at having to do things themselves! The breakfast choice for someone who only eats chicken or fish was a little limited, however when you go to another country you cannot expect ‘full English’! I found breads, cheese, and few tiny pastries...if there were any left! What I did enjoy and this is where trying other countries cuisine is worth while, (you never know what you might like) the herring in beetroot and also curried were both absolutely delicious and I am so glad I got to try them in Riga. The second breakfast we arrived a little later again the staff were all busy refilling stock so again the tables were not being cleared quickly. As the resturant is pretty small we were lucky that there were people finishing breakfast, so we didn’t have to wait long for a place to sit.I can imagine this may become an issue if the hotel gets fully booked and I don’t know if they would then find more seating or a bigger area. All told this is a lovely hotel with helpful and friendly staff It has all you could need for a short break in Riga and is most defiantly close to the centre of town. There is also a wonderful Belgium bar/pub vertically opposite the hotel, which has a great group of staff, cosy feel, lovely atmosphere, tasty food, great choice of beers and is full of locals!
0.33km from Thai StationBizarre experience. Check in guy was patronising and rude. Room was very tight because of oversized bed (which was not comfortable - pillows were horridly lumpy and limp). Bathroom was large, but shower small. Location was convenient to OldTown. Breakfast was good. I especially liked the Irish cappucino

0.36km from Thai StationI stayed 2 nights in this hotel. The location is superb, being just right next to St Peter's Church in the Old Town. A number of walking tours start from St Peter's Church so it could not have been more convenient. Within minutes of walking, one can find a wide variety of great dining choices. The room was spacious, clean and modern. I gave a rating of 4 only because the walls were thin. Each time some guest on the same floor slammed their door shut, my bed would shake (which happened quite a number of times). So yeah, just pray that you don't get a neighbouring guest who would return late, slam their door and jolt you out of your sleep. Other than this gripe, I had nothing to complain about this hotel.
Hotels Near Thai Station In Riga Review
Riga City Center
We chose this hotel after looking at many and were not disappointed. Our trip consisted of three nights in Tallinn, four in Riga and five in St Petersburg. We travelled from the Airport by two buses, a bit daunting, but fortunately we did find people who could speak English. It was then a long walk with our suitcases to find the Hotel. Upon arrival late afternoon first impressions were not good - but not the hotel's fault. We were greeted by a very drunk man and his two friends at the Reception desk. We had to wait a while and watched him being supported to the lift. We hoped our room was nowhere near his ! There seemed to be Companies who were having a Conference at the time. Our room was quite dark due to the woodwork and furnishings and carpet and we always use slippers, especially with carpets. We had a suite overlooking parkland to the front of the hotel. We were surprised to find two toilets - one in a cloakroom to one side of the bed and the other being a full bathroom with bath and shower which was very convenient for the other side of the bed. What a good idea. We don't like showers over a bath and prefer a free standing shower so we often used to shower in the Spa. The washbasin was very long and there was a magnifying mirror which is always a good idea. The floor was beautiful, being white and black tiles and lots of marble on the walls. No expense spared. The bed was not huge considering the size of the room and the duvet was quite heavy. We always take off any bedspread or similar and place to one side. There was storage with sliding doors and a sofa. Coffee making machine and quality toiletries. The Spa, one of the reasons we chose this hotel, was the best we have ever been to - in our opinion. Possibly this could be due to the fact that we often had it almost to ourselves. One of us likes to swim for at least an hour so this was most enjoyable and the swimming pool is in a beautiful setting. The hot stone beds were perfect and there were steam, ice and other rooms to enjoy, including a shower incorporating a bucket of cold water. The ladies at the desk were very pleasant. Our room was very close to the lifts so it was simple just to walk across and take the lift straight to the Spa. The breakfast rooms are very spacious some with comfy sofas, and the food was amazing - there was so much choice with some items freshly cooked to order and sparkling wine ; overall an excellent experience. After a day of sightseeing we enjoyed drinks in the bar and one evening we spoke to a gentleman in the bar about the local liqueur. There are several different flavours and he let us try them all. These can be purchased at the Airport. We used to walk across the hotel and through the parkland by the river to the many local attractions and bars and restaurants and had a most pleasant time both in this lovely hotel and the town. We stayed here before the dreadful Covid 19 pandemic arrived fro

After long hibernation in a winter without snow, all was sett for ..Valmiermuiza. It couldn't go wrong - nearly good weather, Spring soon and good friend... Having had made my way on this sunny occasion we took a seat, and ordered and ...in a matter of minutes we met with TRUE Bliss! Gleaming in that female-shaped glass, with the name sprinkled as should be, reminding of ancient Bavaria under The Gods - it just beckoned me with its froth....and I could not resist..... Mmm, tasty! A sense of freedom, all clouds just threw themselves away and I was in Heaven...

The breakfast was exquisite. The variety and quality were excellent. The cutlery and surroundings were elegant and chic.
The house is said to have more than 300 years of history, so there are wooden beams in the room. The carpet in the corner is very dirty. Other sanitation is ok The rooms are a bit retro, and the European style is overall.
The suite is very large with two beds and extra beds can be accommodated in a family of three or four. The single room is not clear.
The room on the main street is very very noisy. Downstairs is B bar. At night it is a bar. Disco-like music ends at 2 o'clock. The waiter gave earplugs and apologized.
When it was convenient to go out of the old town, it was really facing the church of domo.

This time I will spend more time reviewing this outstanding property. This hotel is the first Radisson in Latvia, it is proving each time we visit that they have the ultimate in all aspects of hospitality. 1. we had the check in process in less than five minutes 2. we had the opportunity to have an upgraded room with all requested things ready in advance via an email, baby crib and bed arranged for our child. 3. the service is a thing that they master very well, service is everywhere, pool, restaurant and every single step you go. 4. everything in the hotel is clean, rooms, restaurant, floors, panorama view platform – clean and nice all around... 5. Coffee was good in restaurant; also we enjoyed coffee machine in room - you can serve yourself when children sleep and enjoy peaceful nice moments.. would like to thank every single person in hotel who made our stay an amazing one! Would come again and recommend to anyone.
Great modern and colourful room. Spacious and with bright colours here and there. Good size bathroom and an electric kettIe. T.v. is equipped to wake you up. Very handy as I had an early flight to catch. Breakfast area is really spacious and have a working samowar. Great detail!! I loved the view I had on Riga`s Old Town from my room. On Saturday there are markets accross the road. Supermarket Rimi is accross the road aswell. You do have to walk around 10 minutes each way to get to the markets or the supermarket. Ask front desk/reception for help if you are not sure how to get there.
