The dining experience was less than satisfactory.

The indoor dining doesn’t accommodate the amount of people it seats. The tables are too small so if you’re coming a group of more than one person, you will struggle to fit everything on your table. There are also sofas and coffee tables that look to accommodate more than one person but who actually wants to sit at a coffee table to eat a meal. The only other option is to sit outside. We should have been notified about this when we booked the table.

The food is over-priced. We enquired about the portion sized by our waiter which turned out to be wrong. I am grateful however that they accommodated to this by compensating the different between the actual portion and what the waiter told us.
If the food was all fresh, maybe I would have a different opinion but £17 for a packet burger and frozen chips is extortionate. And £15 for a 6ounce cocktail is actually insane.
They also make the menu look bigger than it is by putting things on the menu multiple times under slightly different names.
I also ordered a vegan burger that didn’t come with vegan condiments.

To top it all off, our waiter messed up our bill and charged us TWICE with a promise of a refund of the first transaction within a few days. This happened three weeks ago and we are still waiting for that refund.

I wouldn’t recommend that anybody dined here. Got to a food chain instead. You’ll get the same quality food and a more organised dining experience for a cheaper price.

Lang Ting's service is always in place My girl friend and I first chose Lang Ting in Shenzhen, and then went to Hong Kong and also chose Ting Sha Tsui. Up to now, I have also chosen to live in London. The best thing about this hotel brand is the intimate service as always, and the service attitude that began to settle in 1865. In general, Langham London is not as big as new domestic stores and new facilities. But this hotel embodies a long-established and noble hotel brand everywhere. Holidays overall clean and tidy Room service in place The smell is fragrant The main thing is that the location of this store is really good, just at the end of Regent Street, opposite the BBC.

After many many years, I decided to return to the Mermaid Suite because for some reason, hotel prices in London had skyrocketed in late March 2022 and four-stars asked for 250-300 EUR / night. I paid only 83 EUR / night, excluding breakfast, which was a fair price. The hotel hadn’t changed at all from how I remember it from years past. There is a very small 1st floor reception area, where I was quickly checked in by the receptionist, who was not directly unfriendly but won’t win any customer service awards either. As the key card didn’t work initially, he came with me to let me in through the door on the opposite side of the street; the rooms are spread out in several buildings along Blenheim Street. It gives the place a residential flair, which I like. My single room was small but adequate for a two-star. It felt reasonably clean. There was a rather narrow single bed, a small desk + chair, a closet and a small bathroom. No fridge, no safe or other amenities. The blinds did little to keep the room dark, sadly, and there were no other curtains, but the bed was reasonably comfortable. The cramped bathroom came with a minuscule shower cubicle, but water pressure from the handheld shower was excellent and hot water ample. The amenities consisted of wall-mounted containers of low-quality soap and bath foam, that’s it. Wifi was free, fast and reliable, although you will need to log in again a few times every day. The password is MERMAIDHOTEL (in capitals), for whatever reason it is not posted anywhere in the room. The hotel is basically located at the corner of Oxford Street and New Bond Street, an excellent location for shopping. Bond Street tube station is a short walk away. If all you need is a bed for the night, en suite, in a central location, then Mermaid Suite is for you, but don’t expect anything above the basic level.

We stayed at the Courthouse Hotel for a night last week and it was the perfect to explore the Soho area. Staff were all friendly, especially the receptionist that gave me a complimentary upgrade for our wedding anniversary. Room well equipped and very clean and modern, with kettle and tea/coffee sachets. Brwakfast fast and efficient, although it’s a buffet the gentleman was very attentive and offered to replenish our food a couple of times. Would use again!

The facilities are a bit old, but they are okay. The only drawback is that the single room bedroom space is a bit small, but it is reasonable. It is relatively small compared to the size of London. The room also has free mineral water. The front desk can take apples for tea and cotton candy, the most praiseworthy is that the service attitude is very good! !! The guests are also very friendly. I think the breakfast is normal (I have to say that the dissatisfied is that the scrambled eggs are a bit hard). Maybe because I am used to the traditional English breakfast.

My wife and I booked 2 nights here as we had tickets at the Palladium. It’s very close to town(Oxford Circus, Regent Street, Piccadilly, West End etc ) and ideally placed. There were staff on the door to help with bags and assist us to check in and the room. We had an accessibility issue when we checked in and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. They moved us straight away and after we were in checked we were happy, which we were. If you need a taxi, they can contact them and they arrive within a couple of minutes. Not even enough time for a smoke! The service from all staff was amazing, nothing was too much trouble, the room service food was reasonably priced for London, and very very tasty. Breakfast was also very good, prompt and cooked well. But special thanks to the 2 staff at dinner ( 1 was very new, first couple of shifts! ), they were helpful, polite, served the food well ( again, reasonably priced and lovely ) and bent over backwards to make our evening go well. The rooms are lovely, clean and pretty spacious Would recommend and stay again for sure. 5 Stars for this 4 star hotel Marc and Katie

It’s always the same with weekend trips to London: Everyone wants to stay in the tourist center near Leicester Square, only to realize that very average hotels there are 400 £ a night. I almost resigned and booked something in Hammersmith when I found this Holiday Inn for 200 £ per night including breakfast. It’s not in the tourist center and not on Oxford Circus either. But close to Bond Street and within walking distance of theatres, museums and all the other West End attractions. Our twin room was renovated, quiet and reasonably equipped, unfortunately with no international type power or USB sockets for charging the mobile devices; Primark at Marble Arch sells adapters for 6 £. The room was tiny and so was the bathroom, storage space was adequate for our weekend trip while insufficient for guests with several suitcases. The breakfast buffet had a nice spread while the dining room in the basement is gloomy and cramped. Staff was friendly and helpful. I don’t give this one five points for being an excellent hotel – it’s not. The selling point is the reasonable price tag for acceptable lodging near central London.

Overall would return. Really big bright room on the second floor. Excellent and modern bathroom with a brilliant shower! Lovely coffee machine with pods also. Bed was super comfy - strange only one pillow each but when asked for extras there was no issues! I read previous reviews about the noise of the underground keeping people awake - yes you can hear the rumble of it but it’s certainly not loud enough to keep you up at night! The only con I really have is that the walls are paper thin. On either side of you when the other guests are talking you can hear absolutely everything and feel like your in their conversation too. Other than that - the room / bed / bathroom / and staff were fabulous and I have no issues in retuning as it was an excellent location at a reasonable price!
