I stayed here one night on a trip through to Toronto. When I arrived the person (girl) at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful AND spoke English very well. She checked me in quickly and gave good directions to my room and parking. When I had difficulties operating the TV remote - it seemed overly complicated to just watch TV - she offered to come to my room to fix it, but we solved it over the phone...some issue about switching to HDMI input. The hotel was really clean and modern, and the breakfast was the usual Comfort Inn breakfast wehich was fine. The security on the doors - you need to use your room key to open most doors (side enterances, lobby enterance from the hallway, etc.) I felt very secure, I would definitey stay here again because of the staff and the clean/quiet hotel.

This hotel doesn’t match up with the standard I’m used to from a Delta property. The lobby was inviting & welcoming. However, one of the beds in the room had a visible sag. It was the most uncomfortable sleep I’ve had in a hotel. I didn’t ask to change rooms at first because laying on it quickly didn’t seem too bad. However, it was not at all comfortable. The bathroom had a pocket door separating the toilet and shower from the vanity and sink. I did bring the bed situation to the attention of the front desk staff when I checked out, and the response I received was more unsettling than my poor sleep. When I told them about my poor night and the bed sagging the person at the front desk just said “ok thanks” and barely acknowledged me. The guest experience is severely lacking here. I would consider other options before staying here.

When I pulled up to the Days Inn and saw some people out front, i had a bad feeling about this place. We were only staying over night, so I thought, how bad could it be. We didn't bother splurging on an upscale hotel since we weren't going there for pleasure / vacation. While the staff was nice and friendly, it doesn't make up for the fact that this hotel is just odd, not too clean and at night, extremely noisy. When we got into the room and folded back the duvet we found a small black bug on the sheets (live). In addition, the duvet was badly stained with bodily fluids. At this point we had no intention of staying here and requested our reservation be cancelled so we could go elsewhere, however because we booked through Expedia they weren't inclined to comply. Expedia wasn't much help either as they expected us to wait an hour and a half to wait for the hotel manager to be contacted. We checked around at other hotels in the area but everything was booked,.. so we had no choice but to stay. I stripped the beds and examined everything to be sure there wasn't any more bugs. Calling the front desk got us some clean sheets and fleece blankets to use instead of the duvet. Aside from this, the hotel has zero sound proofing. The doors slamming in the hallway, people talking loudly and hanging around in the hall to make video phone calls at 2am almost made me go postal. This is by far the worst place I have ever stayed and will sleep in my car if this happens to be the only choice again when in Guelph. Steer clear from this place.

Stayed here while moving our daughter into residence at U of G and booked here as they had a discounted rate for being U of G parent and hot breakfast included with your stay. This hotel is in the industrial part of town and there are no restaurants within walking distance (per front desk at check in). It is a 10-15 minute drive to the university depending on traffic. The room itself was clean but there were some maintenance issues. An outlet by the couch only had one functioning plug. The shower leaks all over the bathroom floor behind the toilet due to poor design and having a fabric shower curtain that won’t stick to the wall to form a seal. The bathroom door is very difficult to open and shut and has either shifted or has swollen due to moisture. The tub fills with water while showering so the drain obviously needs to be cleaned quite badly. Kitchen is small in size but functional for one person at a time. Fridge and microwave were clean. Beds and pillows were comfortable and were double size (as advertised). The couch was NOT a pull out even though it said that it would be on our booking. Breakfast was served in takeaway containers due to covid and while it was not great, it was edible. Kids booked to use the pool but it was so cold they didn’t enjoy it. It doesn’t appear to be heated. Not sure if this is due to covid and lack of use or what but it also needed to be cleaned. My daughter used the gym the one morning and said there were cobwebs on some of the equipment and there was only one 35 pound dumbbell. There was one treadmill, an elliptical and one bike. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. There was no housekeeping due to covid but they would supply extra garbage bags, you put your bagged garbage in the hall and they were pretty quick to remove it. Overall I would consider staying here again for a long term stay simply for the convenience of the kitchen. If I was coming for the weekend only though I would stay closer to the university for convenience.

Check was good and Elizabeth was so helpful and friendly! There is a ton of parking. The included breakfast was nice. As long as there's a waffle maker, my son is happy. Nice juice selection, bread and bagels, yogurt, a few hot selections, fruit and cereal. The room was a really nice size and our complimentary upgraded suite was so quiet. The towels were white and soft and clean. The bedsheets were disastrous! They had holes were so worn. The fitted sheet wouldn't stay on as the elastics were stretched out. There was only a duvet cover, no duvet inside?! There were big bottles of soap, shampoo and conditioner, nice touch. The curtains needed to be cleaned, they were very dusty. The debit machine didn't work the whole weekend so I had no choice but to use a credit card.

We stayed for 1 night as a stopover for our vacation. Location was great and easy to find, staff were very friendly and helpful and rooms were clean and updated. Also noted all of the safety precautions in place for COVID 19 and that made us feel more at ease
