My husband & I recently stayed at this hotel for one night. Pretty much, just a place to lay our heads. I booked last minute on a 3rd party site. By last minute, I mean about an hour before we arrived. The girls at check-in were polite and we were checked in quickly. When we got to our room, I realized that we were put in a handicap room. The tub was really low and one bed was lower than the other. The sink was just a sink. No cabinet, and no counter. The beds were sloppily made. Pretty much like how my daughters make their beds. But we slept ok and that’s all that matters. The a/c cooled well, albeit a bit loud. Water pressure in the shower was good. Breakfast in the morning was meh. They had enough to get you going. Breads, cereal, yogurt, fruit, packaged pastries plus couple of hot items included. However, the bagels were really hard. I mean, not only hard to chew, but it scratched up the inside of my mouth. I could not eat it, so I tried another one with the same results. Tried the sliced bread, and it wasn’t soft either. I gave up on the starchy carbs and settled on some yogurt and a banana. No biggie. Oh and the juice was pretty much water. The hotel is fine for one or two nights. There are several restaurants in the area and a Walmart across the street.

Lately we have been doing one night stays in the area, just to not drive back & forth on the same day. This time we stayed at Springhill Suites because they had the most reasonable prices for our 10 hour stay. Front desk staff was perfunctory and not very welcoming. The hotel is in St. Lucie West, so you have plenty of restaurants and stores nearby. You can walk across the parking lot to Chilis and Texas Roadhouse is right there as well. There is just one small elevator and during busy times, you can find yourself waiting for a while. The breakfast is super scarce with two hot options, scrambled eggs & sausage patties. I say scarce because there was just one bread option (bagels) and one cereal option (Chex). The two toasters were old, broken, and in need of replacement. They have a hand sanitizer dispenser available before entering the food area, but it's empty. I have always used sanitizer before and after serving myself at buffets, not just during covid. You serve yourself with the same utensils then sit down to eat. Yuck. I had to go up and get my own sanitizer. Breakfast is until 9:30 even on weekends. Another guest arrived around 9:15, everything was pretty empty. No bread, scraps of eggs, etc. He asked the attendant for some bread, I heard her say that she would have to check the freezer. The man waited, to no avail. At precisely 9:30, she started clearing up what was left. Another thing that was annoying about this place was that the ice machine on the 4th floor was not working. We had to go down to the 1st floor for ice. We have stayed in many Springhill Suites and this one was not up to par. The hotel is older and they say that the rooms are updated, but it did not seem updated. Our room was ample, with a living area with a sleeper sofa and mini kitchen area. The beds were in a separate area. However, there is no door or partition for privacy or even to watch TV. Both areas have their own TV, but practically side by side. So without a partition, having two tv's is pretty much useless. Unless you have one on mute. Our room had a shower, no tub. That was fine for us. The 2 beds were full sized not queen. Too small for two adults in our opinion. The beds and pillows were comfortable though. The room felt fairly clean but when I pulled back the bedding to get in bed, there was a small yellowish, cruddy stain. I had just showered and was in my pjs. I was in no mood for someone to come in to change out the sheets, so I scrubbed it off myself with a wet towel and switched beds with my husband. He didn't mind. Luckily I did not find any other stains. The a/c was not loud plus it was nice& cold. There weren't many electrical outlets, but the lamp had two USB ports built in. We had to unplug the clock for my husband’s c-pap. I like the size of the of the room. Would love a partition or door between both areas. Breakfast left a lot to be desired. The hotel is near where we needed to be and the beds were comfy. Depending on the price, we

We have stayed at this property regularly for almost 15 years and always found it to be clean and comfortable. We stayed there for one night on 2/16 and it was the worst experience ever. I don't know if there has been an owner or management change, but the property has gone downhill. Let's start with the COVID guidelines. Despite numerous signs stating that masks were required, that was clearly not being enforced. The front desk person that checked us in was not wearing a mask and most of the guests that we encountered were not masked either. There was only one hand sanitizer station visible by the elevator in the lobby, but it was empty. When we arrived to check in my husband went in to find no one at the front desk. After waiting more than 5 minutes he finally grabbed a luggage cart and we loaded our luggage and returned back in to check in. It turns out the front desk person was outside in front of the hotel talking to his friend. Our room was large, but not very clean. There was debris on the carpet, the lamps were dusty and there was no office chair. There was a banquet-type chair at the desk upholstered in black that was FILTHY. The room smelled very musty although the a/c seemed to be working fine. The remote for the tv was missing the back and was held together with duct tape. We are diamond members so we stay in Choice properties frequently, but this property has definitely deteriorated and we will not be staying here again.

Check in includes waiting for a disgruntled mumbling desk person. After room assignment you will enjoy the fresh fumes of the truck stop that is literally this motels parking lot. As you attempt to get to your assigned room, you will have the opportunity to walk over and around the many shirtless heavily tattooed guests enjoying cigarettes as they size you up. This is not a one off instance as most fronts of rooms feature this highlight. As a bonus, these folks have the bee-bop head/body bounces usually found in only the most crackhead infested areas of your nearby ghetto. If you aren't scared away by the residents (they definitely live there), just wait till you arrive at your room. Upon opening the door, you will be greeted by an overwhelming aroma of stale cigarette that has been barely attempted to be covered up by a dollar store air freshener. The bathroom features a moldy dirt covered showering space. As an added bonus, lifting the comforter off the bed you will be presented with numerous hairs of past victims that have had the joy of staying at this dump. I went to call the front desk but of course there is no phone in the room. To be fair, I have stayed at many dumpy motels in my life. However, this one was without a doubt the absolute worst. I booked this place on a non-refundable deal. Regardless, I would literally pay to not have to stay there. As a matter of fact, that's exactly what I did. 10 minutes after checking in, I was back at the front desk checking out. The lovely woman at the front desk didn't even bother asking why - i'm sure this is a daily occurrence. I am left wondering when they took the pictures they advertise. Maybe this was a decent place in the past. Or... Maybe the residents all had court that day. This place should be condemned. Don't try and save a few dollars and risk it as you'll only end up telling yourself about how that guy from Boston was spot on with his review.

We ended up here when our other hotel was a bust and this was the only place with a room. It was a blessing is disguise. Although we were far from the beach the hotel was beautiful, clean and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The rooms were huge. We started in a king quite and moved to a two queen bed suite the second night. Both were great. The daily breakfast was very tasty, wish it was open a little later, we almost missed it a few mornings. The pool area is small and the pool was freezing, so that was the only downfall of the hotel. The only other issue was the automatic curtain! The thing would never do what you wanted and the staff couldn't work it either :) Maybe go back to the manual curtains?? Overall a great stay.

A satisfying stay. Breakfast is a la carte, which is very good. Unlike ordinary buffets, which can only be eaten cold early in the morning, all the hot dishes are prepared to satisfy the Chinese stomach. Free parking, just downstairs. The room is clean and hygienic, much better than the motel that I lived in before. It meets the friend ’s door facing inward. There are expectations of quilts. The traffic is very convenient. There is a place to eat when you come out. There is a super mall four kilometers away, and shopping is great. Will come back later if needed.

Looking for a property in the Port St Lucie area, I picked the HGI PGA Port St Lucie. The property is located conveniently close to the PGA Village and is located a short distance off I-95. The property has a large lobby area great for socializing, an area outside the lobby area with wicker furniture for a relaxing rest, and a pool and hot tub. Gigi handled my check-in and check-out, recognizing my Diamond status and ensuring I was set up for the Hilton dining credit which we used one morning for breakfast and the second morning for pantry items. Once we got in our room, we realized the refrigerator was obviously not working. A call to the front desk had a maintenance man to the room and bringing a replacement refrigerator which was already cool when installed, all within 15 minutes. While we were not at the property that much during our stay, the property was an excellent choice for a stay. If the TravelGuy is returning to this area in the future, the Hilton Garden Inn PGA Port St Lucie will certainly receive consideration.

We are having a house built in PSL, so we visit every so often to check on things. This was our first time at this particular Residence Inn. Check-in went smooth even with a hiccup on my part. The gentleman checking us in was great. The room was comfortable and nicely laid out. The bed and pillows were comfortable as well. Our room had a walk in shower with a glass slider. Good water pressure, a shelf for your stuff and even a step to shave your legs. The sink is separate from the toilet/ shower which is how we prefer it. The room has tons of outlets to charge your devices, huge plus. The kitchen area was well stocked for our needs. The hotel does not have ice machines, so you rely on your fridges ice maker. The ice maker works well, but needs to be turned off before you go to bed, just because of the noise when the ice drops. The room was absolutely quiet. We never heard our neighbors unless they were in the hallway. I didn't use any of the amenities, so cannot comment on that. The breakfast was just ok. I'm not big on breakfast, I'm happy with say, a yogurt or a bagel. No breads are offered. No toast, no bagels, no English muffin. No yogurt. They had oatmeal with toppings, Frosted Flakes & corn flakes. Hard boiled eggs, muffin, and scones. They also have three hot option. Sausage-egg-cheese biscuit, breakfast burrito and egg soufflé. My husband was happy with the hot options. The breakfast attendant was so very nice and helpful. We will definitely return and may consider a long term stay if we sell our current home before our new one is ready.
