The Waldorf Hilton, London
Theatreland London | 0.1km from city center
Staff at The Waldorf are incredibly attentive to any / all needs.
I asked for a later checkout and plates for food early in the morning after a night out and they accommodated that for us.
The hotel is placed in a prime location, just a stones throw from Covent Garden and about 28-30 minutes walk from Regent Street. The hotel is only accessible by key card after hours; to ensure guest safety.
Amenities in the room included an iron and board, kettle, drinking glasses and coffee / tea cups. The shower had fixed shampoo, conditioner and soap dispensers.
The mini bar was fairly priced for central London, but hadn't been cleaned (hence the slightly lower score on cleanliness).
The air conditioning dried my throat out throughout the night, but turns off automatically if the window is open, so had to deal with that / just had water next to the bed throughout the night.
The downstairs bar had a great a**osphere and boasts a large menu. Great for a late nightcap.
Overall the experience was great. Our Queen room cost £179.00 for the night (excluding breakfast). I was offered two forms of upgrades. A larger Queen Room with breakfast included was only an extra £40.00, and a Kings Suite with access to the executive lounge and breakfast was £80.00 extra.

The hotel lobby smells particularly good, and when we go at Christmas, a huge Christmas tree is projected on the wall, which has a festive atmosphere. There are drinks while waiting. The restaurant on the top floor is also great and worth spending. Hotel location is also very convenient, very good ~

The Lincoln Suites
Covent Garden London | 0.16km from city center
I feel it is important to post this review since I benefited greatly from previous reviewers in order to pick this gem of a hotel for our recent trip to London. One of the things I was drawn to initially was that payment was not due for our reservation until 3 days before arrival and that cancellation could be up to 24 hours before arrival. This was an advantage to other hotels I had been looking at before. Also, The Lincoln Suites gave a discount for extended stays, of which ours was 10 days, so any discount in London is much appreciated. Before our arrival I had several questions for the staff. Each time I emailed (I think 4 times) I received a response in less than 24 hours. We arrived on Wednesday, May 17th between 9-10 am from an overnight flight from the States and were enthusiastically welcomed by Klaudia at the front desk. She gave us an option for early check-in as a room had just been vacated and then kindly called housekeeping to quickly ready the room for us. This was unexpected but a very welcome surprise as we did not think we would get into a room early. We opted to leave our bags with reception anyway and headed off to familiarize ourselves with the area to give them the time they needed. Klaudia kindly offered to call us when the room was ready. This was a lovely thing to do and we greatly appreciated her efforts. When we came back our room was ready, and Klaudia had called us as she promised, although we did not hear the phone, our fault. We stayed in the lovely Room 311 which had a large window facing Kingsway so we had a nice view of the street but were high enough to avoid any noise issues. I believe this room is called a Kingsway Studio. Things not mentioned in the description online include: Each side of the bed had a nightstand with 3 shelves for stowing essentials, and a lamp, there was a small round dining table with 2 chairs, large built in closet (with a safe, ironing board and iron, 8 hangers and cubbies for folded items as well as 2 large top shelves to stow luggage or other large items), 1 luggage rack, a convenient side table beside the closet that we used as a drop zone for purses and day bags. Kitchen also had a sink and the fridge was larger than a normal hotel room fridge. They also provided two cold water bottles in the fridge at no charge. There was dish soap and a tea towel for washing up under the sink. Cups, glasses, bowls, cookware and cutlery were provided. The bathroom had a large shower with nice hot water supply, large sink with shelves beside and below for toiletry items. Plenty of towels were provided both in the bathroom and extras were found in the built in closet. Our bed was comfortable and noise was minimal from outside although you could occasionally hear doors of other rooms closing but it was not bothersome. HVAC worked well our entire stay. I read in advance that the rooms are only cleaned every 4th day at The Lincoln Suites and Klaudia kindly reminded us at check-in. We were on a 10 d

This place is worth every penny….. Location 10/10 Food 10/10 Decor and cleanliness 10/10 Staff 10/10 We stayed here for 1 night in August. Everything was impeccable, I couldn’t even find something to score them down on. The staff were all fantastic, a couple were outstanding at service but I didn’t get their names. I had several personal touches as it was my birthday on the day we arrived. Food was incredible and Indigo restaurant is accredited by Coeliac UK which was a bonus as I have Coeliacs. The tasting menu with Wine pairing is highly recommended as is the gluten free fish & chips! 10/10 will go back as soon as I can.

I don't normally enjoy this part of London, I usually stay around Mayfair, The Biltmore and 1 hotel Mayfair are my current favourites but I wanted to stay here because of the history, Its very dark but the interiors are unbelievable, the atrium is one of the best features Ive seen in a hotel. There was a bearded man on the door (I forget his name but he said he was from Bangor), I started asking him about the history of the building and he kindly took us to the court room and told us all about history, what each room was and what changes had been made from the original building. Fascinating to think that the Krays and other notorious villains were tried in there. The hallways to the room were very dark which I didn't really like I can honestly say it's one of the best hotels in London. The showers are so powerful, the beds so comfy, you have lovely fluffy dressing gowns and slippers, hair straighteners and steamer. Will definitely go back. We didn't eat there because we had restaurants booked (I wasn't expecting it to be as amazing as it was) but I saw the afternoon tea and its looked very nice. I can't big this place up enough, even if you're not staying, go in and have a nose it's worth it.

Fielding Hotel
Theatreland London | 0.3km from city center
First and foremost, this hotel is in an excellent location for the Royal opera house and Covent Garden being situated by the statue of the little ballerina. The hotel is perfectly adequate and has many traditional features but bear in mind that this historic hotel can look a little shabby in places. We booked a twin room through trip.com but I had to phone the hotel to confirm they had booked us in a twin room as our receipt said it wasn’t guaranteed. The gentleman on reception was helpful, easy to understand and had a good telephone manner. When we arrived ,check in was very quick and simple and the reception team were welcoming. There is no lift in this hotel and there are three floors with many up and down levels. Our twin room had a staircase down to the tea/coffee facilities and bathroom. The room was clean and the beds small but comfortable. Pillows were a little flat. We visited in summer and there was a portable air con unit which was appreciated. TV had basic channels. There was a small selection of tea and coffee and two small bottles of complimentary still water. The bathroom was adequate with complimentary shower gel, body lotion and hand soap. The bathroom was in need of a little maintenance but the shower was hot and towels were provided. Paintwork throughout the room was shabby and the chest of drawers were flimsy. Carpets had been hoovered but there were stains and signs of ware and tear. Furniture in the room was a little tatty but it was nice to have two chairs and a side table to watch TV instead of sitting on the bed. There are plenty of plug sockets although one or two of them are broken and look a bit dangerous. There is a wardrobe with 8 hangers, a safe, a case rack and an extra blanket. There are no food facilities in the hotel but it doesn’t matter as it’s surrounded by good cafes, restaurants and other places to eat. They do sell soft drinks and crisps at a reasonable price. We travelled in from Tottenham Court Road (Elizabeth Line) which is a 10 minute walk but Covent Garden Tube station is marginally closer ( Piccadilly Line ) I would recommend this hotel based on location and if you want to try a traditional boutique hotel but if you like your luxuries I would probably give it a miss.

The Z Hotel Holborn
Theatreland London | 0.32km from city center
We stayed two adults and a child of 14 in a double room. The bed was too small for three and we were not given any options. The bathroom was for the disabled and the shower floor was the same without a shower tray. The bed only had one free thermal bed and the other fitted towards the wall.
The three of us really slept a little uncomfortably… lucky it was only one night!

Strand Palace

Hotel is in a great location, close to the theatres, Covent Garden, Leicester Square and Trafalgar Square. If you are okay walking, Buckingham Palace is about a 20 minute walk and you can easily walk to the London Eye, Big Ben etc. Hotel lovely and clean, had a superior double room, was smaller than I expected but big enough for 2, and was lovely and clean. Staff friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them. Would stay there again. Will point out due to popularity of the hotel check in was busy at 3, as room not ready early, but staff friendly and check in was smooth.

Club Quarters Hotel Covent Garden Holborn, London

Myself & 4 mature friends visited London for 1 night for a theatre trip & drinking/ dining weekend. I have stayed at this hotel before with my hus& found it a comfortable & safe environment. The staff on the front desk do everything to make your stay a good one. We had a one room suite fir 3 of us & an adjoining club room for 2 with twin beds so we could be together through an internal door perfect for our needs. The only real negative that I found was the uncomfortable mattress on the bed settee that I myself used. We had a loud squeaky bathroom door that they came & attended to straight away

Amazing hotel, inside out. Every aspect of this establishment is thought through. The interior design is spectacular and you feel like you’re in a movie. Very elegant and beautiful hotel, with incredible bars and restaurants.m worrh a visit or two. I’m always here when in town, whether it’s for business or pleasure. Highly recommend!
This time I came to London and stayed at the Magnificent, the Fragmented Shangri-La, the Horse Guards and the Bulgari. The rooms in this 1,500-pound hotel had no highlights at all. I really felt like I was paying an IQ tax! Moreover, the air conditioner was very noisy, there was dust on the table, and even the pens had no refills. Several others have their own characteristics. Bulgari is not recommended.
I had a lovely stay here. Location lil bit out of town (zone 2/3)but public transport is accessable. Greenwich is a nice neighbourhood too anyway. Hotel room is so clean, well equipped and most importantly 50-70% cheaper than hotel zone 1.
We had to leave very unexpectedly, but did find the hotel a little run down looking from the outside. We had arrived early and the room was ready, but we could only check in early for an extra charge which we declined, as we were going out anyway so just left our bags in the car. The room was supposed to be an executive room however, it was like any other room we had ever stayed in so don’t know what was executive about it. Tea tray was a bit stingy with 1 packet of biscuits between 2 of us (1 biscuit each). Only 4 milk cartons, but plenty of tea and coffee sachets. The bathroom had nice shower gel and lotion supplied with plenty of towels but, also had blue insulation tape on the radiator and the ceiling above the bath was peeling it all looked a little tired. The room was clean and perfectly comfortable, but definitely lacked that added luxury that I thought we had upgraded to with executive. Maybe that was my own fault not checking exactly what the difference was between normal and executive aside from the price. Sadly, our trip was cut short with an emergency, so we never got to stay overnight or sample the breakfast.
The service was great. We were offered a free drink because it was ourr first time. The food was great with a lot of healthy options. The housekeepers were very friendly and provided our need
The hotel room was clean and spacious and had everything we deserve. The location was ok. There is a supermarket nearby. Service super friendly and satisfying. Equipment very good.

The location is very convenient. It is very close to King's Cross Railway Station or subway. The room is not large and there is no small refrigerator. If you live in the lobby, you will hear loud noises at night, the wifi speed is a bit slow, and if you leave your luggage for more than 24 Hours need to go to a specific website to make an appointment.
It was our anniversary we got there about 1pm and the kind lady at the reception her name is Clare she make sure we got the best of our anniversary thanks to her,Clare was very helpful and very friendly thanks once again would definitely book again
This property is excellent for SERVICE, excepetional staff , especially in the Executive Lounge, Victoria is the ultimate in professional with a sincere lovely personalitywith great suggestions of what to do in London and excellent knowledge of all the wonderful food in the lounge
Staff were amazing and attentive when issues arose.
Booked the king size room which was large and spacious but that’s where the good parts end.
- Air Condition did not work (Told reception when we got in at night and was given a fan)
- Mini fridge did not work, so gave the food we bought to amazing receptionist
- lamp in the corner was not plugged in, had to move the table from the wall to switch it on.
- Bathroom wasn’t wiped down properly so you could see the residue of the last guests.
Besides the amazing staff who helped and gave good local recommendations for bars and restaurants the quality of the hotel was lacking.
Would not be staying again.
