This is a somewhat down-at-heel motel, with aging fixtures and the occasional cigarette burn on the blanket, no ice in the ice maker, and the vending machine was out of change. I wouldn't have minded so much except that the price led me to expect a bit more... One gets what one pays for, but this time I got less than I should have.

We looked over 10+ Hilton hotels in the area, and decided to book this hotel for a stopover night after our vacation trip to New Hampshire. The hotel facility was great and new. Our check-in experience was also wonderful, and the front desk helped us to make a 45 min reservation for the pool which the family really enjoyed. We also like the hotel located in the shopping area next to the German grocery store my wife found fun to shop. The disappointment really started the next morning. First, we got a call 7AM in the morning. Before we picked it up, it went off. We have not shared our hotel and room number with anyone. This call woke everyone up. Then around 9AM, someone was opening our door. Our younger one came to the door and found it was the cleaning lady. She said she thought we checked out. We told her no, we have not checked out. Please come back after 11AM check out time. Around 9:30AM, front desk called and ask if we are checking out early. We told her no. We have not told to anyone about checking out earlier. We told the front desk we would be checking out around 11AM in accordance with the hotel policy. At around 10AM, clean lady came to open our door once again. I came out talked to the staff, and they barely spoke English. They indicated to me basically don't talk to them and call the hotel. We checked out the hotel at 10:45AM. We spoke with Helen the manager. She said somehow their system showed we checked out. I told her not to blame the system, as system does not make mistake, but people do. Overall, this was a very unpleasant experience among all my many stays at Hilton. Especially during COVID, someone just tried to open our door and we had to engage in all the talks with the hotel management. It is a new facility but the management is sub par. The breakfast was well arranged with a microwave warmed sandwich and yogurt, juice or fruit to choose one. Our younger one slept on soft bed but he found hair in the extra blanket and sheet saved in the closet. The TV controller was dirty and sticky as someone put a paste on kind of thing on the back of it but then peeled off. The remaining sticky stuff makes it looks dirty to put in hands. We asked our older one not to use it and wash his hand.

This hotel has reasonable rates compared to others on route nine. However I don’t think it gives appropriate representation of a Wyndham property when you consider the condition of some of the parts of the rooms. I was in a room on the fourth deck This month, right off the elevator and the bathroom was in good condition. It was a handicap accessible bathroom with wide openings although, I don’t see how someone who had difficulty can get into the tub with such a high side. It appears as if the commode was recently replaced. This particular time as usual the water pressure is a very slow flow with a lot of water rushing into the toilet, however not much force going out and may I say I’m pretty regular, and it nearly clogged. I have been to this hotel several times in the past year when I visit this area and I can tell you that one night I called for maintenance to come for a clogged toilet and they knocked on the door. When I opened the door, I swear they left me a bucket, and inside the bucket was a plunger. Honest to God. The last time I was here, maintenance did come while I was out and repaired the clog. There’s obviously a problem in the sewer main as it drains out of the entire hotel. The plumbing has to be corrected. Now I come to the hotel with my own hanger. Gross but true. This particular room had a disgusting, worn out, stained, ripped carpet. I couldn’t walk on the floor without my shoes being on. I touched the floor and it was terrible underfoot. I cannot understand how they can accept this. It is the job of housekeeping to tell the general manager about this problem. There is absolutely no coffee as your exit and no one to serve you coffee either in the morning before checkout or any other day that you’re there before 11 o’clock in the morning which I think is odd that they cannot even serve you and there’s no one there. It would be an incredibly eye-opening experience if Hotel Impossible came to visit this establishment! I think Anthony Melchiorri would have to cover his eyes for some of the room inspections. To their credit, all of the front desk people have been very friendly.

My daughter and I needed a place to stay for a week during the Christmas season in Northampton, MA. We are so thankful we choose the Quality Inn and Suites. The staff was exceptional; friendly, professional and helpful. The beds were amazing: comfortable with more than enough pillows and blankets. The two room suite was generous in size, supplies, and furnishings. There was even a fireplace in the room!! Having to be away from home at the holiday season was difficult but this facility actually enhanced the season with the glow of the fire, the snow outside the window, and the friendly faces that greeted us each day. This space was a true blessing to us! The location is perfect as well. Close enough to town that we could walk to restaurants and shops, but far enough away to feel out of the hub. Our water temperature in the shower needed adjusting and Dan and John were not only ready and willing to fix the problem but were friendly and professional as they made the temperature perfect. The room was very clean and the cleaning staff were pleasant and ready to assist us with any needs, again with smiles and professional mannerisms. Even though the new Fairfield Inn is right next door, I am so thankful we choose the Quality Inn. The price was perfect as well since we had to stay for 7 days, it didn't break the bank. They are renovating so a new pool area was just down the hall and they have laundry facilities up the stairs. I also want to note that I felt very safe. Since we are two women alone without a vehicle it was a concern. The office has full view of all the rooms and security was obviously a priority. I will note the coffee wasn't the best I have tasted but a DD is right across the street for anyone with a more picky coffee palette. The lobby does have drinks available all day and the personnel in charge of the breakfast bar was on top of keeping it clean and stocked. My family will be making this a routine stop on our way from PA to VT as it was a perfect place to spend a night, or two, and a week. The town of Northampton is also a wonderful place to explore. Thank you Quality Inn staff in Northampton, MA!

There is nothing around the hotel, but you can park for free. If you don't have a car, it is not recommended to stay, which is very inconvenient. The facilities are complete, there is a small swimming pool and gym, breakfast is a typical American style, nothing wrong. There is a self-service washer dryer, which is more convenient!
