|1.55km from city centerRachel at reception saved our vacation to Cork! Upon arrival to Cork, our airbnb had visible mold and smelled of mildew. Even though the Jury's Inn was fully booked, she helped us try to find a new location. After spending time in your lobby, Rachel rushed out to tell us there was a cancelation! Not only did she help us get a room, she provided complimentary drinks for ”our rough day”. I can't say enough good things about how caring Rachel was through the entire process. Thank you Rachel and Jury's Inn!

|1.29km from city centerOur room was comfortable. It was a good size, modern decor, and modern bathroom fixtures with a large tiled shower stall. The hotel had 2 elevators. activated by room keys. This hotel chain prefers jars of Body Wash to soap. Not having an iphone, I appreciated using the computer in their business room to do emails. There isn't really a lobby area at the entrance, but the cocktail and bar lounge, connected to a small dining area, serve as sitting areas when waiting for others. We arrived tired from a day of travel so we were delighted to eat in the hotel's dining room for an evening meal rather than go exploring for a restaurant. The prices for evening meals in the hotel cafe were reasonable with a discount offered on 2 and 3 courses. The Bacon and Chicken Salad (15E) I ordered was delicious and dinner size, and desserts like Eton Mess were around 6.75E. During the day, the hotel has a coffee shop (scones 3E) with both indoor and outdoor seating. Could take away the pastries and enjoy them in the room where coffee and tea and kettle were free to use. No bakery shop was nearby. The hotel is within walking distance of the English Market (a bakery counter here) and shopping streets like St. Patrick's Street. For us, it was a good choice for an overnight stay with Insight coach tours.

|4.97km from city centerI should not have booked a room with a bathtub (I was able to negotiate and change it), the room service menu was old, and when I came from Japan, ”why does that happen? I think something happens, but it's so Irish... Nothing is dissatisfied with the customer service, the cleanliness of the room and the facilities! I want to use it again.

|0.15km from city centerThe hotel is close to Cork city centre, with convenient transportation and a good local hotel. The interior is fully equipped and the service is very welcoming. It can also be accommodated 1-2 hours in advance. There are restaurants in the bar, but there are fewer varieties of breakfast.

|0.73km from city centerFrom the moment we arrived here we felt relaxed, the receptionist was very welcoming and friendly and knowledgeable. The staff for breakfast were really friendly and always smiling. What really impressed me here are the leisure center staff, I am sensitive to noise, and they tried to let me know the best time for me to use the sauna etc, where I could get the best enjoyment, Tom in particular, was very understanding, he could have easily shrugged me off, but went out of his way. We will be back here again without a doubt, especially with the new large sauna, large jacuzzi, new steam room being built. The place is spotless as well.

|1.47km from city centerI got a room with a window facing the in-door atrium, which meant not having a window with daylight. For the price I paid, I would expect to have a room with a window with daylight.
Spa was not clean and I didn't enjoy it at all. Breakfast was not good either. I won't stay with Clayton again.

|47.31km from city centerWe stayed 2 nights here since we had several plans for this area. We are happy we did. Peggy was kind, welcoming and shared much about her family and the area. She was interested in what we were doing daily and we followed her advice and added the ring of Baer drive--it was beautiful and fascinating! She even gave us a lesson on cooking eggs. Her homemade bread was delicious! Our rooms were very comfortable with a hair dryer and soap for the shower. Wonderful stay!

|74.45km from city centerOur host was friendly and helpful, and we liked the easy parking at the B&B. Our two rooms were very clean and met our needs. Breakfast was tasty and there were several options from which to choose. Fortunately there is a small pub with good food that’s about a 15-min countryside walk from the property; otherwise you will need to drive to a restaurant.

|0.57km from city centerMy sister and I stayed here for three nights recently. First impressions, the hotel is old fashioned but certainly not run down. It is spotless. Our room was small but comfortable and the beds and pillows were soooo nice to sleep on. Food was excellent and reasonable. Staff were so polite and friendly. Robert the bar manager was so helpful and funny. Donna from room service was so lovely to talk to and gave us the history of the hotel and also told us about the nearby castle and the white deer that live on the grounds. Mallow town is lovely . The castle , nearby park, playground and the shops are all within walking distance. The train into Cork city goes every 30 minutes and again is within walking distance from the hotel. The Guinness was the best I’ve ever had and the ceaser salad. I could go on and on because the fish and chips were also amazing. I’ve been to many hotels over the years this is by far my favourite.we shall be back.

|1.03km from city centerGenerally, a good experience. However, they closed the hotel bar at 11pm without even offering the guests a chance to buy last drinks. No room service available and no manager on duty to complain to. We arrived back after a show looking forward to a nightcap. VERY DISAPPOINTING. There were about 20 other angry guests there.

|0.82km from city centerThe receptionist a mature lady ensured from the minute we arrived that all would go well even if we were English. She helped my wife with the local Pharmacy (thank you). The hotel has ample parking. Parts of the hotel actually have an interesting Irish Rail history as well. The hotel is right next to a decent high street 5minute walk away. They also served Murphy's in the bar! The room was good but it was the history inside the hotel and the conversion of the Railway bridge into a drinking area very novel. Breakfast was very good and competative no complaints from me Irish Breakfast same as an English to me! Would we stay there again yes we are planning to again next year. Iy is only a 45min drive drom Cork airport.

|68.32km from city centerWhen we arrived, the outside appearance did not bode well, however, once inside we were greeted by a very nice young lady who showed us to our rooms. We both had rooms with stunning views over the falls, very clean, tidy, comfortable and warm. The food was really lovely, although not too great a choice for a veggie, however, John was really friendly and entertaining! There was a young man singing and playing guitar the first evening, he was really good and we joined in! Breakfast in the morning was again a wee bit disappointing for a veggie, great for carnivores though! John's service again was really great, giving out ideas of where to visit etc. Our meal the next evening was also very good and then we had the experience of a lot of older people descending into the pub. What a night!!! The couples were Irish dancing and we were really exhausted just watching them, they never really sat down! We were asked to join in, we would not have been able to keep up with them all! Our relatives went up to bed and we stayed down to watch them, however, we had to call it a day and they were all still going!!! They did not even make a noise when leaving! Breakfast again in the morning was good and John very attentive. The only one ****** we had, was a dog barking in the room next to our relatives room, which did disturb them a wee bit. This was one of our favourite hotels during our stay in Ireland and would definitely stay again.

|1.36km from city centerHotel Issacs Cork City has a good center city location, close to the main sites tourists would like to see and not too far from the bus and train stations. When we were there recently, our room was very spacious, especially by European standards. There were 2 drawbacks to the property I feel visitors should be aware of, however. The first is the parking situation. The hotel has no parking of its own, but rather allows you to park in a church lot that is isn’t particularly close, for a fee. The issue is if you have even the slightest mobility issue, it will be rigorous to get your luggage to the hotel. It’s easily .3 -.4 of a mile away and you have to descend a steep incline and get the luggage down several steps to reach the hotel. Then you have to reverse the process when you leave the hotel. You are entirely on your own to handle this. There is no one on staff to assist you. When you want to enter the parking area to drop or retrieve your car or any forgotten belonging, the gate which guards the parking area is locked and you have to call the hotel to have the gate unlocked remotely. It’s a pain and especially so when the staff is unavailable to answer the phone quickly and open the gate. Right now the road in front of the property is all torn up for repairs, so possibly the situation will Improve when those are done, but that is the permanently designated parking area and there is no ‘set down’ space to leave luggage and go park. It’s enough to make us never under any circumstances return. Additionally, our 3rd floor room was not air conditioned and the sun came in at such an angle that it heated up the room until dark, which was late due to the long daylight hours. The day was only about 65 degrees F, but the room temp was 80+ and never cooled down enough to sleep well. If you visit in the summer, be aware that you will be cooked on the 3rd floor. There was only 1 available room we could have moved into and it was air conditioned, but only had a double bed, which wouldn’t work for us. All in all, we wish we’d stayed elsewhere.

|4.65km from city centerI have just check out yesterday and the hotel is lovely and the lobby is beautiful will a lot of space to take a seat and relax. This hotel also has no shortage of car parking spaces surrounding the building. We had booked a interconnecting room for 5 Ladies which is ideal for friends going for a night away. We had arrived before check in not expecting our rooms to be ready but to just leave our cars and head into town. The gentleman on reception was fantastic ( I'm so sorry for not remembering his name) he was able to check us in to one of our rooms early and send up a few drinks for us which was amazing and really set our stay up the right way. he also gave us great recommendations for food and drinks in the city which really helped. The rooms where spotless and we had nothing to complain about here. The beds are very comfortable. I also liked that the bathrooms have the bath and shower separate. the rooms are very quiet also which helped with getting some sleep. The breakfast was the only thing I would say was only ok. The only option for hot breakfast was Porridge or Full Irish which I thought was a bit limited. With it still being table service in this hotel, which I don't have a problem with, the server we had had forgot one or two things we asked for and we had to ask again. Some items we then received some we didn't. This still would not stop me from staying again. We had a very fun, comfortable, easy, friendly stay here and I would recommend this hotel to friends/family.

|29.05km from city centerWe stayed for 3 nights in November as a large group of 14 adults and 5 children, it was our third trip to Castlemartyr as a group and we had a great time. We rented out 3 of the Gate Residences which are located just as you drive in. The houses have everything you need amenities wise and were absolutely spotless. They're bout a 5 min walk to the village and a 7 min walk to the hotel itself which is super handy. The village has a Centra, Greengrocers as well as a couple of pubs so all you need really. Concierge service is available from the house but it's such a nice walk especially at night so would highly recommend once the weather is good. We had dinner in The Canopy Restaurant on the first night and the Hunted Hog both other nights. Food was absolutely delicious in both as it always is and the service was fantastic. Whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner the food is really good in the hotel. One thing I would say, if you have a baby who is only moving to solids, there are no options available except soup. So I would advise bringing your own if you have a young baby. It would be great if the hotel offered something even like Ella's Kitchen pouches in the future. The pool is great for adults and kids alike. There are alotted times to bring children and they have a ball. But alternatively there are adult only times which is great too if needing to chill and have a swim. Have to give a special mention to the babysitting services onsite as well. If you require a baby sitter the hotel will provide numbers to organise yourself. We've had Eileen on every visit and I can't praise her enough, she has been amazing and so good with the kids as well. It's great having the option if you want to go for a bite to eat and a drink knowing the kids are being so we'll looked after in the house. Overall another great few days in Castlemartyr and we're looking forward to heading back in the future.

|5.21km from city centerExtraordinary stay. Particular highlight is the friendliness of the staff and their attentive manner. Kate in the spa deserves special mention for going above and beyond to fit us in. The spa itself was beautiful, spotlessly clean and the treatments delivered with great care and skill. We ate breakfasts daily and had one dinner in the restaurant. The dining experience was first rate, significantly better than decent hotel fare. Wholehearted recommendation and thanks to the team.

|1.11km from city centerThis hotel has history, and it stands out among hotels in its price range. Every detail has been carefully curated, and it's possible to feel that you are in a grand hotel in a grand city. One of us uses a cane and has visible trouble walking. On check-in, it was probably too late to move us to a room that does not require navigating stairs. However, in the breakfast room, we were given a table down several steps, even though there were at least a dozen free tables on the floor level. Again, this area is beautifully decorated, including a round table with attractive and impractical boxed supports that make it impossible to sit comfortably. Each hotel has to work out how to serve breakfast economically while providing an excellent experience for the guests. The ”bird cage” high tea type assortment used at the Imperial must mean they discard items that guests have not selected. Although this property would be among the first we'd consider on a return visit, we would not choose the breakfast option.

|1.19km from city centerThis is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I was travelling with a group of friends for a few nights. When we arrived we were asked to pay up front for the rooms but then as we are expecting to go to the room after Payment she said the rooms aren’t ready so we had to leave our bags and go out. I found the lady on reception rude and unhelpful. However the night porter was very nice to us. one afternoon we are resting in the room on two occasions two guys separately entered the room without knocking, shocked at this. We mentioned it to reception that it’s a security issue they told us they have guys doing repairs in rooms and they may have thought your out but we had told them that they shouldn’t be doing that as we are guests. Random people in and out of your room when your not there. While there is belongings. Rooms are very outdated shower leaking, cracked tiles. I wouldn’t recommend here
