      Nice hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Located close to Sungai Kedayan (Kedayan River, which is a branch of Brunei River). It is away from the city centre (Bandar water front). However nothing is very far from Bandar water front. The reception is on the ground floor but the rooms are on the 2nd and 3rd floors. The room was clean, well air conditioned, equipped with in-room safety deposit box. I like the beautiful wood grain on the furniture. Breakfast was plentiful, both of local and western varieties. The front entrance of the hotel is shown in the attached picture. Taxi is difficult to get because everybody seems to have a car in the prosperous country. But the reception can help. Local transportation is available from the bus terminal at Bandar but the route may or may not suit your schedule or destination. Or if you want to tour Kampong Ayer (Water Village) ask the hotel van to take you to Bandar water front at no charge. While walking around the Dirgahayu 60 monument at the water front, you are most likely to be approached by a boat operator offering a tour of Kampong Ayer and sightseeing on Brunei River. After the tour you can ask the operator to take you to Al-Afiah Jetty (picture attached), which is only a 2 minute walk from the hotel. There are restaurants and shopping in the neighbourhood. Similarly you may be approached by a driver offering a tour of the city and surrounding area. In any case you should negotiate the price. By the way I found that Brunei dollar and Singapore dollar are interchangeable.

      The hotel location is quite good, there is a bus stop at the door, No. 22, you can reach Jamie mosque, walk 10 minutes without a bus. From the airport to the hotel, take bus No. 23 to the bus station center, then transfer to bus number 22 to the hotel. Go out of the hotel, walk straight ahead for 25-30 minutes, and you can reach Kadong Night Market. There is a commercial center across the road from the side of the hotel, a lot of food, quite good. Crossing the road is Wu Zun's bakery, BAKE CULTUER, go straight ahead, there is Huahe Department Store, go straight ahead, go to the end of the road, turn left again, see a MALL, go straight in the direction of MALL, 5 Minutes to Wu Zun's gym, walking straight ahead, directly opposite Jamie Mosque.         The hotel manager speaks Chinese, and the front desk staff has a good service attitude. There is a Chinese speaking front desk. I live in the apartment-like self-service hotel in the back, with private bathrooms and shared cabinets, which is great! Next time you come back to Brunei, it is recommended!

      Grand Accommodations Option for Bandar Seri Begawan Review of Rimbun Suites & Residences Reviewed 4 days ago This is one of the largest short term open concept fully furnished apartments I’ve stayed at even for US standards. 3100 sq ft with 3 bedrooms and 3 baths. All tile and indoor and outdoor kitchen with granite countertops, a balcony overlooking the pool. AC in every room. Cable TV on a huge screen and enormous living room with leather couches. On arrival there was a 24 hour guard at the gate who had my name and let me know where I was staying. Then the manager came immediately to check me in. The complex has a swimming pool, gym, a new open air café just 2 months old is open from 7 am to 10 pm with a nice varied menu of local and international cuisine. The staff was so friendly and I really enjoyed my interactions with each of them. It's walking distance to the park which had a cricket game going on when I arrived. There was available free parking. Really a nicely priced luxury option in Brunei for a family or group of 7 people. Best high speed internet I experienced in Brunei which can be quite weak at other hotels I found. No noise from neighbors in this unit and it seemed like a quiet complex. Appreciated the airport transfer they provide as well. Many skilled professional foreign families are living in this beautiful complex. I would definitely return.

      This is one of the latest additions of a shopping mall combined with hotel and apartment accomodation in Brunei. Based on past travels overseas, this location is relatively convenient, but access to ATMs and public transport might be a concern, especially for families with small kids. The ground floor has a well stocked and large locally based supermarket, which can easily restock your traveling essentials like toiletries, dry food, bottled drinks and a whole lot more. There are lifts and escalators available to bring you to all levels to access the shops. Being a local, I've never had the need to use the hotel or apartment accommodations. So my review is limited to the other parts of the mall. Toilets are relatively clean and can be found at the ends of the building, while escalators are located centrally, near the lifts. There are plenty of restaurants with a choice of cuisines such as lebanese food (one of my favourites), arabic food (another local favourite) a fast food chain (IDEAL) which is relatively cheap and offers a menu which is surprisingly competitive compared to other internationally renowned food chains (e.g. KFC, McDonalds etc.) About once or maybe even twice a month my family of five, buy food from the above tried and tested, lebanese, arabic and IDEAL food chain cuisines conveniently located all under one roof. Coming back from work, I typically place an order at all three restaurants (a little something from each) for each member of the family. I typically use the prayer room on the first floor while waiting for the orders to be prepared. Hint, the Lebanese restaurant usually takes the longest to prepare, followed by the Arabic food and IDEAL. Hence I order in that particular sequence, to save time. Altogether takeaway food results in an interesting culinary mixture for my young family of five. Parking areas plentiful, but can be full at the weekends. If you are renting a car, worthwhile to go a few rounds to find a convenient parking nearby the entrances. The ground floor has other eateries, but mostly for grab and go types of food and drinks. The 2nd and 3rd floor have other shops and activity based services mainly catered for young kids. Overall the building is relatively new, well maintained and clean. For locals in the area it has become a strategic location for shopping. For overseas travelers, access to ATMs and public transport might be a concern. But for adults there is a bus stop within walking distance.

It’s not too much to eat nearby. The malls and restaurants are mainly near the Katong Night Market. The service attitude of the hotel is particularly good, the staff's English is also very good, there will not be a strong Southeast Asian accent, breakfast is OK, there are some, it is quite rich, there are also local specialties. The swimming pool is really small... it looks like a small pond, so small that it doesn't go swimming. The only downside of the hotel is that there are half of the rooms close to the road, there may be no soundproof glass, and the main road is very noisy, especially the roar of motorcycles flying at night. If you mind, your friend must explain that you should not rely on the road room. However, the view of the room on the road is better, haha.

      The hotel location is very close to the attractions. Due to the delay of the flight to the airport, no driver was picked up. Call the hotel front desk to inform the driver that he has waited for an hour and has returned. The hotel unexpectedly asked the driver to pick us up at the airport. The free pick-up is so intimate, it's simply great. A few days of travel in the hotel are all reserved cars at the front desk, except for the Imperial Hotel, which is basically free of charge, and picks up at the agreed time. Although the breakfast is simple, you can have a full meal, and the fried egg toast soup salad is very cost-effective. It is on Brunei Street Few people walk, and it's so convenient to have a car for free. I have posted the details of the shuttle for your reference

      Stayed in this hotel for one night. The reason was to go to Melbourne, Australia for a transfer in Brunei. The transfer time was 20 hours, so I stayed outside for one night. Wen Lan was no problem when he checked out of the airport. If you book a room on Ctrip, you can ask Ctrip's customer service to help pick up. The hotel provides free pick-up. The rooms are large and the facilities are not very upscale and quite clean. Breakfast was ok. Sprinkler shops are affordable. Personally, I think this hotel is a good choice if you transfer in Brunei.

      I booked the family suite room. After that, i contacted the hotel to get free pickup from the airport. When check in, they ask us to fill form than make 20B$ deposit for the room. The room was 60m2. With 1 living room, 1 kitchen, 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. They give 4bottles of shampoo and 4 soap bars. No toothbrush or toothpaste, but dont worry coz next to the lobby is minimarket. You can buy mineral water that the hotel doesnt provide too. The location is great. You can walk to most tourist attraction within the city. In the weekend dont forget to go to tamu kianggeh and pusat belia to enjoy local culture.
