Our family of two adults and two children arrived here and we went through Booking.com as our Airbnb flooded on arrival and we had to find a quick alternative. It’s well located and easy to find. We were able to park on our second and third nights but not initially so check when booking. Parking is tight but you don’t really need your car here in Troyes. I would avoid if you have a huge car. We were greeted warmly and the charming receptionist spoke perfect English to help our wobbly French. Our room was at the top of a charming / rickety flight of stairs. It’s a pretty big space with great views of the street and open kitchen/dining area. The kitchen was mostly well equipped and had a Nespresso machine which we were offered free top ups whenever we wanted. We ordered breakfast which appeared outside our door the next morning, cheeses, yoghurts, meats, baguette and croissants all eaten at the big table. Included was some of Pierre’s honey and jam. There is a beehive in the courtyard, which was quite cool. The big bedrooms were great for our girls as they each had a loft type space accessed via a small ladder. The main bedroom has a shower in the room which was a nice touch. There are two toilets and one is tiny but the main bathroom works well. The whole property was clean and really atmospheric. We met the owner, Pierre who was a great character and explained the restoration of his building which you could see had obviously put a lot of work into. It’s expensive if you compare it to the standard chain hotels but there you will not get the charm or the vibe of the courtyard and historical Troyes. Perfect location for exploring on foot this great town. Would highly recommend the team and the building. A good experience.

We chose tLe Royal because it had aircon, coffee making in the room and (paid) parking available. We had the family room which had a double + a single and trundle( which we didnt need) , but it made it very spacious. Second floor, double glazing and shutters, with blockout blinds made for a comfortable sleep. Outlook over the park was delightful Easy walk to everywhere in town, and a bus stop is nearby , as is the station. We did not have their breakfast or use their restaurant, but both looked good Building is slightly tired, staff were helpful, but it was very comfortable, Would definitely pick it again!!

On the positive side the room, although small, was clean and the furniture new and smart. The hotel is ideally located on the fringes of the popular areas, an easy walk (5-10 mins) to very good restaurants etc. The bed was very comfortable and there is Clim in room if needed. good onsite parking. I have a Ford Focus and it just fit in the sole occupancy space, well worth the security for the price. The breakfast buffet is great, well worth the €9. Disappointing was the bathroom, so small and in desperate need of refurb. You need a PhD to operate the shower as its complicated, many functions so the management have provided a pictorial guide hope to operate BUT its for a different shower! We had a room at the head of stairs on 2nd floor. The stairs, carpet stained, creak and sound noticable in the room but we were not unduly disturbed. Being a Logis hotel we normally expect tea & coffee making equipment, not available also the sign on the hotel says 24hrs hot drinks available but the dispensing machine was only providing biscuits etc! Maybe we got what we paid for?

My wife and 3-year-old daughter stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, on a stopover as we were returning from a trip to Dordogne. I chose ibis mainly because of the underground parking which was directly accessible from the hotel. On our outward journey, we stayed at ibis styles as the ibis web site indicated that there was no room available. ibis styles and Mercure share the same underground parking facility, but these two hotels are not directly connected. So you have to walk a bit from the hotel, which is inconvenient when it's raining and when you have to carry a lot of luggage. I booked our room at ibis almost 3 months in advance. I was never advised, however, that there would be a conference ongoing which led to the entire parking garage to be closed off to hotel guests. I was therefore only able to park in the garage one night, and had to park in the paid parking lot behind the hotel. Aside from the inconvenience of having to park in the open-air parking lot, I was concerned about the security of our car and its contents as it was filled to the brim with our belongings for an 11-night stay in Dordogne. It was too much of a hassle to bring everything down to the hotel. This hotel was also not responsive to emails. I emailed in advance to request for the access code to the parking garage so I wouldn't have to step out of the car and collect the code from the reception upon arrival. I had to call in order to obtain the code. Upon checking in, I also requested for additional hangers. I had a number of moist clothes which I wanted to hang, as our last few days in Dordogne were rainy and the clothes did not dry sufficiently. The lady at the check-in counter could not be bothered to gather at least a few more hangers. She simply explained that there was a number of hangers allotted per room, so it would not be possible to provide additional ones. As other reviewers have pointed out, there is a constant hum in the hallway that permeates into the rooms. If you're a light sleeper, this can be bothersome. This hotel also did not note my request. I specifically requested a room that was not facing the street and that was far from the lift, but the room provided was exactly that. There was also a large tear on the leatherette upholstery of the sofa bed in the room. All in all, I would recommend that people stay at ibis styles instead of this ibis hotel. At ibis styles, our room had a proper bathroom rather than the capsule-style ibis bathroom, and they even had a wheel of fortune-type game for our daughter which won her a plastic bowl. Their breakfast was until 11 a.m., while at ibis it was only until 10 a.m. The dining area at ibis styles is also much larger and much more pleasant, as it faces a canal. In the summer, diners can sit in the terrace outside overlooking the canal. The climate control system at ibis styles was also much better, providing both air-conditioning and heating in mid-October.

We stayed here just for a 1 night stop-over on the way back from The Alps, the hotel is beautiful but unfortunately the restaurant was closed in January which we weren't told upon booking. We knew we'd be arriving late so wanted to have an easy dinner in house instead of trying to find somewhere in town, though they did give us a couple of recommendations and the hotel is well located only a 5 minute walk from the main centre. Breakfast was excellent, room was fine and the staff were helpful in the short time we were there, can't comment on much more having only been there for 12 hours...

The attention to detail here is second to none. From antique embroidered linen napery to the exquisite delicacies for breakfast, nothing is hasty, commercial or formulaic. You feel as if you are a private guest in a treasured home, one where traditional standards are reverently maintained. But this doesn't make it stuffy or old fashioned - no, the sense of fun and theatre in the decor is exciting and stimulating. Everything is confidently executed and the standard of finish is high. If you love the predictability of international 5-star hotels, then you may be uneasy about this place with its very individualistic style. But if you prefer adventure, originality and utter charm, you will love it. The bed was a dream, the water hot and plentiful, the books intriguing, and the chatelaine the very incarnation of kindness and care. The courtyard garden is a masterclass in shade gardening. We will go back whenever the chance allows.

Good news first: Although very reasonably priced and very clean, with pleasant friendly staff and a central location.... bad news....is that this is basically an old people’s home with some rooms that are rented out to tourists. The marketing is ‘optimistic’ by which I mean they have made the place look far more appealing than it is in reality. For example the breakfast looked amazing in the pictures but in reality was a massively disappointing buffet with very little choice and a broken coffee machine. The rooms looked welcoming in the marketing but in reality were more like a private hospital room. There was one thin pillow per person, more were requested but were ‘unavailable’. Possibly propping up the old folks? If you are on a tight budget then go ahead if not, avoid.

Very cute small hotel not far from the center of Troyes and very convenient to visit the town. Rooms are pretty and full of charm and there is a very small Swimming pool for the hot days and some nice patios to relax. We had breakfast there and was very well presented but unfortunately really overestimated. The same happens with the treats the hotel offer if hungry as they are too expensive for what they ate. Otherwise, very nice service and good staff. Highly recommended hotel to visit the nice town of Troyes.

Clean and spacious, booked a room with a living room, booking information is for three people, the sofa bed in the living room was opened and paved at the time of check-in, the balcony is also a large balcony connecting the living room to the bedroom, it is nice to have a kitchenette, walking near the hotel There is a slightly bigger Carrefour in 5 minutes. There are a variety of specialty shops in the shopping street, big-name luxury jewelry and ZARA, HM, etc., although not comparable to the Paris store, the goods are all, but the basic models are available to meet the basic shopping needs. The most acclaimed hotel is the breakfast, on the top floor of the hotel, with a view of the Rhone River through the floor-to-ceiling windows. It was learned that Lyon’s old town was very difficult to park, and it was specifically designed as a landmark hotel in the new city. This hotel can be seen from afar, but it is not easy to find the hotel entrance and parking lot by car. Because the nearby road is under construction, it took three laps to find the hotel's small entrance. The parking lot is large, 25 euros a day. The hotel lobby is on the 32nd floor and the room is above the 33rd floor. The view is good and has its own characteristics. The room is small, it is fan-shaped, and two adults with a child sleep very crowded. The sanitation is very good, quiet, carpeted, not ventilated, the shower floor is a bit slippery, there is no place to dry clothes. The hotel has a restaurant, dinner is good, service is good. There is no bustling old town nearby, and there is a large public car park next to the food city not far from the hotel.

The hotel I booked was very expensive because at the time It ’s the Lyon Festival of Lights, so it ’s very expensive. It ’s usually not that expensive. If you judge this hotel by its value, it ’s not worth it. I think its value should be around 1,000 yuan. Simple is rude, because breakfast is not so good, but there are few juices that are not freshly squeezed for tea, and you have to make your own tea in bags. The hotel does not have any service at the front desk to check in, and it is not very fast, but it is generally okay. It is not worth 1,000 yuan or more for 1,000 yuan, thank you!

We were looking for a good hotel which would serve as our stopover as we were driving to the South of France. We booked a night stay in this beautiful InterContinental Hotel. We arrived around noon and by accident drove directly to the hotel's garage. It was unclear if there was valet or if we could self park our car. As we did not get in to the garage, we were stuck there as the bell in the garage was rather complicated. We phoned the front desk and quickly someone helped park our car. The bellboy took our luggage and escorted us to the reception. We were quickly checked in and received a very nice upgrade to one of the beautiful Executive Duplex rooms with views over the river. The hotel itself is huge and is simply beautiful. There are many restaurants and shops in the premises and is located in the heart of Lyon, everything can be done by foot. Our room was very large and had a cosy seating area on the top level. Downstairs, there was a very comfortable bed and the bathroom with large walk in shower. The window in the room was floor to ceiling but probably hard to clean as there were some cobwebs on it. Staff were very helpful with a city map and recommending sights and restaurants nearby. Within walking distance, there are many good places to eat and shopping streets are very closeby.

This is a five-star hotel in a classic style, converted from an old building. Definitely not the kind of hotel used in China. In the center of the old town of Lyon, there are various stores on the doorstep, and a stylish chocolate shop diagonally opposite, and the famous Rose Tower attractions across the alley next to the hotel. The interior decoration of the hotel is also old-fashioned, the door is opened with a key and no card is needed. The room was beautiful and welcoming, the toilet and shower room were separated. There is also a spa on the top floor. We went to live in Lyon on the day of the annual Lyon Festival of Lights, and on the weekend, the room price doubled several times than usual. It's easy to miss without paying attention. If the usual price to live is definitely possible. Holidays are definitely expensive. It is very convenient to visit and live in the old town.
