2.8km from The Parker ShoppesWe recently stayed at the hotel and it was our first trip since January. We were a little apprehensive, but were very surprised when we arrived. The hotel is on top of cleaning. Our room was probably the cleanest we have ever stayed. My wife said the microwave looked new. They have cut down on daily cleaning which was great for us since we normally don't have our room cleaned every day. In fact, we only picked up items when needed and didn't have the room cleaned. The front desk staff is hot and cold. Many are very friendly and others just go through the motions of helping you. The friendliest and most helpful we found was Freddie the hotel maintenance man. We needed him a couple of times. Once we had a constant tapping in the bathroom vent. He spent a long time and discovered that the door flap didn't have any kind of pad to soften the closing. Once he fixed that we never heard another thing. We also lost power one day and he quickly reset the breaker. The hotel does a pretty good job with the breakfast. They have items that are sealed (other than the fruit) that you pick up and take with you or to your room. I asked about other items like yogurt and was told only take and go items. I was confused because they had cold cereal and milk. I wasn't sure how you could take that and drive, but that was the reasoning. I certainly understand the hot items and hope that resumes at some point. The other thing I asked about was a parking spot that had a cone and sign that said reserved for a certain couple. I asked and was told that there were not any reserved spots, but the cone remained for several days. After mentioning it someone removed the sign, but not the cone. I imagine someone didn't want to find a spot each day when they returned, but the hotel should have monitored that so others could use the space, especially since it was a handicap space. Overall we think the hotel is doing a very good job. We will definitely stay there again.
