How to say it, I am just thinking about adventure and trying. I went to the lobby of the hotel and I felt like I bought a ticket for a terrorist cruise ship.........The hotel facilities are old, hahaha, but worth visiting! Never go by yourself! Never live by yourself! I also learned about the ghost story about this hotel after I arrived at the hotel... I didn't turn off the lights for one night, and I slept for up to three hours. At eight o'clock in the morning, I wanted to catch a sea or something. I didn't even think about it. I only walked on the boat and went to the place where I didn't go at night, and then I checked out. simply! Very exciting experience! Not very suitable for bringing children to me, because it is too big, the corridor is too long, easy to lose, and scary...

There are two family hotels in Long Beach. This one is located by the sea. The other one is next to the airport. I have stayed at both hotels. It was the first one I lived in. The one close to the airport was not comfortable and the cost performance was not high. The parking fee plus the room charge added up to nearly 1800. My room can't see the sea yet, I booked a double bed, but gave me a double bed, and I was too lazy to change ~ The room was still clean, the cooking utensils were very complete, and the check-in staff was very enthusiastic But the air conditioner was too noisy, basically I couldn't sleep well all night! For breakfast at 9:30, there is no more food, the waiters can't wait to pack up and go home. Go early if you have breakfast.

This is probably the smallest hyatt living till now, it feels like a factory remodeling and then hanging the hyatt card! No lobby is super small. The left hand is the entrance to the restaurant. The curry smell drifts all year round. The elevator is like a freight elevator. The room is very small. Although the business hotel is equipped with a small hall, the total area will not exceed 25 square meters! The socket is old, and it is easy to loosen and not charge. The only plus point may be the girl at the front desk, cheerful and enthusiastic. Been to Beijing and a little Chinese is very friendly. In addition, the hotel only has a valet parking of $ 35 / night. The public parking space on the doorstep of the hotel and on the street behind the hotel is free from 9pm every night-9am the next day is free, 2 knifes / hour after 9am. The parking lot next to the hotel is 16 knives / night, provided that the receipt from the mall next door is required to enjoy the price. Self-driving friends can choose to park on the street and go down in the morning to pay 1-2 hours of fare.

After brief attempt to put deposit on our room, a woman at check-in counter said “since we’re not vibing, I’m going to cancel your reservation.” I’m not kidding. They have one portable card reader and it wasn’t taking my card. Called the card company, they told me it’s fine. I waited outside 1 hour to check in with an elderly parent who they wouldn’t bring a chair for, she and I both had to stand and get lectured—The lady listed all the countries she’s visited (literally started and wouldn’t stop listing countries), her point being that deposits are important everywhere you go. All this with chase on the phone telling them my card was fine and ready for them to run, that their card machine wasn’t pushing the transaction to chase. The hotel staff insisted that it wasn’t their machine because someone else was able to check in with a card deposit. The lady had no problem rolling her eyes, talking down to us, and the only time she was respected was when my card company told her on speaker that she was being recorded (the usual message) but at least something. It didn’t help so then they call their manager who tells us our card is bad and gives us an ultimatum to leave now and he will cancel the reservation or to stay for the full time. I asked if we can just stay one night until we make other arrangements (by that time I called all other hotels within walking distance to event I needed to attend they were all booked). He said we either stay the whole time or we cancel. They gave us the room next to the trash cans by the stairs and loud laundry room and said it was the only option. Maybe. To stay we used my parent’s credit card for a deposit, which I didn’t want to do and didn’t want her to be responsible for incidentals. On taking my mom’s card, the lady at the desk rolled her eyes and said “see, that wasn’t so hard was it?” I’m still processing the level of bullying from this place, just hoping everything else goes well. It’s clean and the room is nice, there is on site parking on a first come first served basis. I missed several classes for my event, but they really don’t care and won’t work with you, only try to get rid of you if you call them out on their machines not working. Not sure what the cherry on top is but I’ll continue with—whoever you come with, you’re sleeping under the same blanket with them because the Inn at 50 doesn’t have extra blankets. Asking twice or another staff member doesn’t seem to help. They also weren’t able to locate an extra suitcase stand but that’s not as interesting as the check-in process. And checking out was even worse. The stay was thankfully alright, we were right by the laundry room so there was no no napping in the day from the noise but otherwise comfortable. When we were checking out my mom asked for them to check the room so she can get her deposit back. They said they had to wait for someone to get there. Then that someone arrived and they still weren’t coming and we were waiting again. Then my mom

The two personnel who provided services to me was simply easy. My issue was resolved so fast that actually i had no issue. Both individuals should be commended for their superior support and services and should be brought forward to higher responsibility, they displayed extreme professionalism and exuded true traits of being bright, quick thinking and very articulate. These traits are the epitome of an organizations success. 10 rating that comes with care and true concern for their customers. Excellent property and staff! Thanks and see you soon. There are two family hotels in Long Beach. This one is close to the airport, and there are also homes by the sea. I have stayed at two hotels this time. This is my second home, it feels better than the one by the sea, because the price is cheaper. The room was neat and clean, and the utensils for cooking were very complete. I was particularly surprised that the floor in the bathroom was warm. Could it be that old hotels would also have floor heating? !! Ha ha breakfast for 9:30, there is nothing left, the waiter can't wait to pack home. Go early if you have breakfast.

The older reviews are really bad so I assume the hotel is under new ownership because the hotel rooms have been completely upgraded. While the outside still looks a little run down (but not trashy), the rooms are clean and remodeled. The beds have the double sheets rather than the nasty comforters. The front desk was very nice and helpful. Good location right off of PCH. I travel a lot and I would say this hotel great deal for the price.

After a 6 hour drive we arrived at the Travelodge by Wyndham in Long beach CA, only to find out they had given away our room. They claimed we had a “bad card” as they had tried to take the money before we had arrived. We had no notice of cancellation from hotels.com nor had the hotel tried to contact us directly. We had no notification from the bank about a declined transaction which we would have and the card we used requires a pin because we are from the Uk and this was in USA. We asked for proof of cancellation and on the note it says we cancelled the booking when we obviously didn't. They had just lied. Because we were so tired we ended up in a horrible smelling smoking room, which we paid for with the same “bad card” we booked with in the first place. No apologies and they tried to blame it on us. Put a real sour note to the end of our trip. After a 6 hour drive you need somewhere you can trust and this isn’t it. Recommend booking somewhere else, we will be in future.

The worst place I ever been in my life and will not recommend anyone stay here!!I had 2 adults and 1 child! It was extremely cold and our heater DID NOT WORK!! Upon leaving we could not pay with another card even though when we got there ED said we could. The morning guy said, ”Dont mind Ed hes new and doesn't know what hes talking about we dont do that!” the tv had scratches on it, it looked like someone peed in the toilet and didnt flush! The beds are small, the window was cracked and didnt notice until checkout which is why it was extremely cold! The bath mat was rolled up not in the bath tub... that's not my job! We asked Ed if we didnt like the room can we get a refund he said, ”no he can only change rooms.” He also said the rooms didnt smell when it actually smelled like someone was smoking in it and mold!! When I called about the heater he also said ”he could move me rooms to one 4 doors down and the maintenance guy wont be in until 11pm that's gonna be late for you.”My kid was sleep and he proceeded to tell me ”it's going to be a cold night!” The parking sucks this hotel sucks! When i went to the sorriest free breakfast the morning staff just looked at me no good morning or smiles. The food was nasty the drink machine was gross!! When I asked for a manager he said he ain't available on Sundays! The halls smell like ********* the walls are paper thin and can hear sexual intercourse upstairs and the conversations on Both sides of the room. One of the steps is tied with a string and some cords.

Holiday Inn Long Beach - Airport, an IHG Hotel

We hadn't planned on a stay in Long Beach, but were sent to this hotel by the cruise line after testing positive for COVID in the middle of our 14 day cruise. Along with several other passengers, we were required to complete the remaining days of a 10-day quarantine when we got off the ship. When I found out where we were being sent, I went online and looked at reviews. I was very disturbed about all the negativity, especially since we weren't going to be allowed to leave our room. There was no restaurant or provided breakfast on site, so we had to use Instacart, DoorDash, etc. to have things left at our door. IHG/Holiday Inn is one of the chains we use regularly and are used to things like breakfast being included, so this was missed for sure. As for other issues, yes the A/C was noisy but we were glad to have it. There was also a lot of outside noise on the side of the building where we were (traffic and other things). However, our room was clean and we had plenty of towels. I did have to ask for extra washcloths and pods for the Keurig which were quickly provided. They also gave us a menu for food delivery that was limited but inexpensive. We ordered from that menu three different times and food was good considering that nothing delivered ends up being as hot as I'd like and the rooms only had a fridge, no microwave. During our stay, I talked to at least 3 different people (Daisy, Yvette, and Elizabeth) with guest services and all were pleasant, patient and helpful with all my questions and concerns. One of my questions had to do with transportation options to LAX. I had looked at Uber and other options, but prices were all over the place. They told me they could arrange a cab for us when we were ready to leave and that it would only take about 10 minutes for the cab to arrive. We chose this option and are glad we did. The Yellow Cab charged a flat rate to LAX which was cheaper than all the other prices I had seen. So while it wasn't our choice to stay here, all in all, it wasn't as bad as I expected from others' reviews.

I just completed a 9 day stay at this property. It is a very clean hotel and the rooms are modern. Having said that, I do feel that the hotel management is taking advantage of the Coronavirus pandemic by not providing any housekeeping service for guests, regardless of length of stay. I have been working and traveling steadily since the pandemic occurred. Every other hotel that I have stayed at has reduced the frequency of housekeeping service to guest rooms to every other day or 2 or 3 times a week at the least. I was always informed of this when I checked in. I was not informed that this Homewood Suites was not providing any housekeeping service to any guest when I checked in. It was only when my room had not been serviced for 2 days that I had to go up to the front desk (they never once answered the phone the entire time I was there)to inquire what was happening with housekeeping. The lady at the front desk confirmed that no housekeeping service was being provided and gave me a large trash bag to put my accumulated trash in. I was never informed as to whether I was receiving a discount on my room rate because no housekeeping was provided. Even though the hotel was far from full occupancy, I was also being charged $12/day for parking, which I had no issue with. Had I known this hotel had eliminated all housekeeping service, I would have stayed elsewhere. I work 10 to 12 hours a day and hate coming back to a dirty hotel room. I am a long time Diamond member and feel some housekeeping service should have been provided

Different hotels staying in the United States every day for 15 days use booking and Ctrip. With both app bookings, Ctrip has the advantage of being a bit cheaper than booking. But Ctrip appears moths every time it is used! It often happens that the hotel does not receive the Ctrip payment, but Ctrip has deducted the payment, so that the hotel still has to pay. The lost money is usually about 200 US dollars. Ctrip said that it will be dealt with, and it is still not handled well until check-out. It might as well cost dozens of dollars to book with booking ... At least it will not cost hundreds of thousands Too depressed I won't recommend all my friends to use Ctrip overseas ... I hope everyone will not be as miserable as me. The hotel I have stayed in has no problem. The quality of Hilton is as always. The front desk of the Holiday Hotel is more anxious than repeatedly contacting the supplier. As for Ctrip, you never spit out money when you eat money.

The property (from the marketing info, is supposed to be a ~100 year old hotel) has the feel of an old-style downtown hotel, unlike the typical roadside hotel/motel which is common today. A few days prior to check-in, I attempted to contact the hotel to confirm my reservation, however there was nobody answering the phone; however, they do respond to text messages. The day you check in, they send you a text message with a link for a form to fill out prior to arrival. However, upon arrival (which was late at night), the desk clerk at check-in was very welcoming and helpful, as were all the desk clerks I interacted with throughout my stay. The room I had (called a full bed studio), was definitely small (compared to modern hotels), however for the price considering the location, was definitely adequate. The room had a microfridge and all the coffee condiments, but surprisingly no coffeemaker. Also, there was no soap or shampoo in the bathroom (besides a bottle of hand soap next to the sink). Housekeeping came to service the room at one point in the stay, something not very common post-COVID. The property is located close to downtown Long Beach, within walking distance of the beach as well as many of the shops and clubs on Broadway. Parking is an additional $18/night, and is in a parking area connected to the alleyway next to the property.

I needed a place to stay two nights before our cruise. Found this place on a website. It looked good and had high reviews. So I booked. When we arrived, I wondered what I had got us into. This motel sits on a busy corner. Not very ascetically pleasing. It wasn’t the Ritz but it wasn’t the Bates either. The room was very clean. No bells or whistles but if you just want a decent place to stay the night, this will work fine. I paid over a $100 a night. But other places close were going for over $300 a nite. It worked fine. The room was simple but it got the job done. If I was needing another room for a night before a cruise, I would stay there again.

As a flagship Marriott branded property, I have to say that I’m disappointed in the service from the check in staff. She was rude and temperamental and really needs to find a job she can be happier at. When I addressed that I wanted to speak to a manager the response was “there isn’t one”. I requested that I did not want to be helped by her and requested for someone else. I expressed how disappointed I was with the new person and she checked me in and knowing I was upset, a manager on duty never reached out to me during my stay. After getting a hold of a general manager and expressing my issue the response I got was that “fortunately we live in America and we all have choices”. As a manager, this is not the response I was expecting, especially from leadership at a brand leader in the hospitality industry. I strongly suggest that this manager be replaced with someone that values and understand what the hospitality industry is about and someone that cares and values their job. The property itself is beautiful and well maintained, it’s just that unfortunately the staff and general manager need to learn more about compassion and retrained. Because of this I would never stay at this property again. As a Hyatt globalist, Hilton Diamond and Bonvoy Gold… I really regret staying here and my expectation of service fell short. The post isn’t to complain about my issue but there are other choices in the area where the properties are as good if not better with better service. This place should not be rewarded with rooms filled as they do not value their customers.

WHAT WE LIKED · We stayed in the Gorgeous Penthouse on the top floor and it was beautiful. The photos are accurate other than the obvious fish eye that makes all rooms look larger than they are. We stayed here for CaliVibes festival. I'm a sucker for the historic, eccentric, unique properties with architectural details so this was right up my alley. The kitchen had beautiful tile though we didn't make any meals there - you could have made simple breakfast, lunch, etc. Mainly we used the fridge to store our late night snacks and bottled water. Basic coffee service, dishes, and utensils were provided. The old windows are so lovely and all of them open but you will get the noise from the lively bar downstairs. We had plans to drop in to the Blind Donkey but the music festival really had us beat at the end of each day. The codes for the door and the room worked well. The bed was adequate but not amazing like some hotels have. I had no issues but hubby didn't sleep as well. The bed is in a nook so you do have to kind of crawl into the bed and that was not ideal but once my head hit the pillow, I was out. The Broadlind is surrounded by cafes and restaurants and there was a grocery store just a block or two away. Very convenient location for any events at the convention center or Marina Green Park. WHAT WE DIDN'T LIKE · Check-in time is quite late at 4pm. I messaged and called the contact number provided in the email from Broadlind to ask if we could pay for early check-in ($45) on the day we arrived and never received a response to my phone call or my text message. I was happy to pay the fee if it wasn't too late on our arrival day to do so through the ”contactless” system. I did not want to pay the fee and then not be able to check in because we didn't pay far enough in advance. I had read other reviews that mentioned issues when not allowing enough advance notice for the ”incidental deposit form” to be completed before arrival. We had already done that, no issues, but now wanted to add early check-in, and ultimately, did not because of the complete lack of response. Resort fee of $35/day but there are zero resort-style amenities such as pool, gym, cafe, restaurant, or bar. No ice machine or vending machine on site. No cleaning of the room so no restock of coffee service or towels for a multi-day stay. The sofa bed was a futon and super lumpy. Blankets and pillow were provided but no sheet to put down. We found an air mattress but discovered very quickly there was a hole in it. No response to text message or phone call asking for replacement. We debated finding a sporting goods store to buy our own but ended up just roughing it on the futon. There was staff on site but they are quite stand-offish and will ignore you or act like they don't understand what you are saying to avoid helping you. SUMMARY - I adored the property and the location but the excessive ”contactless” policy is a complete turn off. If everything was perfect with the property, an
