Front desk staff wasn’t friendly at all during the check-in process. I put my driver’s license & credit card on the counter. She rudely asked me for my credit card & didn’t even apologize after I replied it’s right here. Also I was given a room with one bed instead of two that my company had reserved for me. We asked where the coffee hwas when we were getting ready to leave hotel bout 6am & he said it was behind the dining area doors but it doesn’t open until 630am. Most hotels have coffee available at all times but especially early in the mornings.

Very nice room clean. Wish it would have been a little more quiet, but I understand the expressway is just right there. Overall I enjoyed my stay, I will be booking the same room again on my next trip come April or May.

I want to express how terribly disappointed I am in the service we received during our big day. Firstly, Jessica was incredibly rude. She was snappy to anyone who approached her. For example: when I asked her which rooms were available so that we can assign them. She answered: “You don’t know that? You’re supposed to assign them.” Then, I reminded her each room had a different name and style, and we didn’t know which were available, and we offered the Queen Anne room and found it to be a storage room. Jessica said, “Ugh! I don’t know let me call Alex. Alex was supposed to do this.” When I asked for cake plates, Jessica said all supplies are in the kitchen and instructed me to look in there. So, I had to dig around in there. I spoke with Jessica, and she informed me her frustration was in part due to being charged with an event she did not coordinate and had no idea what was going on, and everyone is asking her questions she couldn’t answer. She dismissed my guests when they engaged her. I was under the impression that Sara’s Inn was in charge of the set-up and tear down of all chairs and tables. However, the ceremony room was not set up at 5:00 PM, so the bridal party had to set up the white folding chairs. We were told that Sara’s Inn would set up the ceremony room. The lounge chairs were still in place. My stepdad had to ask for the folding chairs, so I am not sure the staff present was aware a wedding was occurring on that day. My bridal party and a few guests were stressed out and sweating, trying to shuffle to get chairs set-up and in place. The transition of the ceremony room to high top tables/sitting lounge also happened quite slowly, and there was no seating provided in the area as discussed. High tables and seats were to replace the ceremony folding chairs, this happened gradually, and by the time it was completed, it was almost time to end. In the reception area, we were missing an entire table and chairs set-up. There was no lemonade, water, and iced tea station as we discussed leaving the breakfast beverage station set up when we came in for rehearsal, and you stated that would work. The rooms proved challenging to assign without the names of the rooms we were to assign. We knew the Empress room and Le Petite Paris were not available; however, we gave out the Queen Anne room to discover that one unavailable as well. The toilet in the Grand Lux room needed service. The chef did not clear the plates when guests finished eating even though we were told: “Our chef will replenish the Brussel sprouts and rice on the buffet area, as needed. We will have the beverages (lemonade, iced tea, and water) set-up at a station for guests to help themselves to and will refill the dispensers, as needed. She will also clear plates when your guests are finished eating.” So, I had to clear the tables of plates. I am sure I am leaving something out. I was quite overwhelmed with completing tasks left undone by your sta

I want to give this place 5 out of 5, because I love old building converted into hotels. Ever since staying in a few Kimptons in the Northwest, I've come to appreciate the character that these places can have. For the good: desk staff were extremely polite and helpful. The room was spacious and nicely decorated and equipped and the large bathroom had a massive shower. The not-so-good: bar staff seemed a little overwhelmed last night. It was one lady's first night so have to cut some slack. Room didn't have an alarm clock! Who doesn't have alarm clocks in the rooms now days?! Also, valet parking is only option. Signage could be better to that effect as I circled block looking for self-parking option. The bad: a club within about a half block (or an aquarium) was playing loud music that sounded like whales mating! Volume went down around 11 and I was able to get to sleep, but for those who hope to get to sleep earlier, that could be a problem.

We stayed in the 1 King Bed 1 Bedroom Suite, which was pretty interesting. It has a living area with a couch and desk with a TV. Also the room has two bathrooms, One in the living area and one in the bed room area. The rooms are not separated by walls or a door. It is pretty much open concept with very little separation between the rooms. They do not have parking but there is a Valet who will park your car for a per night charge. We didn't get to eat the food as the restaurant and room-service was unavailable because of Covid-19. But the front desk does have a convenience store to buy snacks and drinks. The room and bed were comfortable, but the only complaint I had was right across the street a lot of homeless people were hanging around and sleeping on the side walks. Other then that, it is a pretty nice hotel to stay at for a couple of nights.

AC Marriot Downtown Houston- this is my second time staying here in less than two months. As a SPG and now Bonvoy member, I can stay at any Marriott at a good nightly rate. I chose to come back to AC Hotel downtown Houston because the front desk and overall staff hospitality is by far wow excellent both times. Everyone is very attentive with a smile. Check in is always a breeze. In addition this is one of the newly built Marriott hotel. But a very special shot out to Tashia. A day prior to my arrival my Bonvoy App was not showing my current reservation so I called the hotel and spoke to Tashia. She was so patient and sensed my frustration - she asked a few questions, then within minutes she found the issues and fixed my reservation. Minutes later my reservation was showing on my Bonvoy app. Then at check-in she remembered speaking to me and asked if if I had any other with my Bonvoy App and to let her know if she can provide any additional assistance during my stay. Thank you Tashia for the extended customer service and hospitality. Services like this makes me honored to be a Marriott Bonvoy member since 2011.
