1.6km from FezI was on my Business Trip to Algeria and I chose Lalla Doudja for my stay. It was a pleasant stay, Hotel rooms are quiet, modern and comfortable. I found their rooms better than MERCURE and IBIS. The Hotel is rightly located at Sidi Yahia, surrounded by many eateries and shopping joints. Their front desk staff were very friendly and always there to assist. However Television had only 2-3 English channels including news channel. That isn't enough for international guests. Maybe they can work on that.
2.23km from FezIt could be a fantastic hotel just needs to shake off the Fawlty Towers image. If, when tourism kicks off here this hotel given a make over will be the leading hotel in the city. For now there are too many for me to give this hotel a higher rating. If you want nostalgia and are prepared to put up with the negatives then this place is a must for you. Be aware Thursday night is night club night and you won't want a room anyway near. Don't opt for the left hand lift it doesn't do up unless it is called from a floor above. Despite all the amazing history of this hotel, it needs to drag itself up. If one is being generous it is a so so 2* in my opinion, when it could be a mind boggling 5*.

3.17km from FezGood location for tourists. Although the hotel seems to be quite old, it is an actually quite a clean hotel. However, we are able to check-in much earlier even though we arrived about 10.00 am. The receptionist is very friendly and helpful. The water is not clean, that's why I think they did not provide us a heater to make coffee. They just provide water mineral. Our room is on the 6th floor and our room is split two levels - the bed is on the above level and need to climb a ladder. There are two bathrooms. Breakfast is very simple - mainly bread and cakes or biscuits. There are no fruits. However, the location is great to reach the shopping areas which is just 100-200 meters from the hotel. You should take the Underground Metro which is cheap enough to travel from one end of the city to another. The station is quite nearby. We only realized this on our last day! Wifi is low speed - not that great to do work.
3.2km from FezI had my wedding there and all i can say is that the staff are all friendly, everyone is helpful and the service was absolutely wonderful. Would i recommend it to anyone? Hell yes!!!! The hotel is very well looked after with amazing wifi and the food was the highlight as the meat was falling off the bone!

3.24km from FezThe hotel location was ok as not far from the sports arena we needed. Restaurant on site but unfortunately the breakfast did leave much to be desired. It was boiled eggs, french bread, hot drink, youghurt, hot drink and squash every mirning. The pastries were not fresh 'daily' so we gave up on breakfast on day two. Dinner is a set menu with not much variation so again we decided to eat elsewhere. The cleanliness of the dining room was nit great, condiments containers were sticky and dirty unfortunately. No running water on day two and their reservoir was empty! This was a big problem!! The ladies at reception were however very helpful and a delight to chat with.

Very Good5 Reviews
3.39km from FezThe hotel is excellent for the price. A little bit outside the city center (you have to take a taxi for 200-500 dirham), or you can walk 10 minutes to the closest metro station. But given it's up on the top of a hill, you get amazing views. The buffet breakfast is plentiful, the rooms are clean, the best comfortable. But the best things about this hotel is the staff. Especially Said and Hocine, who went out of their way to help us with anything from renting a car, show us where we could get beer, and advise on where to stop on our way to Ghardaia. We've made friends for life, but we're not unique. Apparently they have a whole book of comments from foreigners who just loooove their hospitality. Highly recommended.
Hotels Near The Red-One In Algiers Review
We spent three nights at the El Aurassi on the way into the country and again for a single night on the way out. We opted for the BayView Room upgrade which I highly recommend if you are going to spend any time in the room. Besides the awesome view there is a large private balcony with comfortable seating. The room had a comfortable king sized bed with a large bathroom with separate toilet room. The usual amenities were provided in terms of soaps, shampoos and conditioners. We did not get bathrobes which would have been a nice touch. There are several restaurants in the hotel. We opted to have dinner in the Algerian restaurant and were pleased with the service, food and wine. There also is an Italian spot which we did not use and a buffet style restaurant which we only used for breakfasts, which were good with a wide variety of foods. We also had a few glasses of wine in the lounge which had a very competent pianist playing. The hotel was relatively empty which was OK with us as we understand sometimes it is overrun with conferences. One slight issue was they wanted us to charge everything to our room and clear the bill out at the end of our stay. Apparently the credit card machines do not work. I do not like billing everything to my room for what should be obvious reasons. Nevertheless, our checkout process was only slightly protracted as they did all the calculations at checkout. I should mention that they have impressive security for vehicles entering the grounds. If I go back to Algiers I would definitely stay here again.
The hotel is about 30 minutes away from the airport. The location is easy to find. The windows of the room can be opened. The room environment is good. The breakfast is very rich. There are various fruits. The Chinese can eat all you can eat. The front desk service attitude is also very good. Because there is no Uber in Algeria, the front desk can take a taxi call instead.
Not only the price is very reasonable, but the staffs here are friendly. The room is clean and spacious! There is a convenient store next to it (around 2 mins walking) and this place is quite centralized. You just need to use taxi to go to your destination. I would recommend it for business-stay purposes.
The breakfast was very simple, with several different flavors of bread, milk, coffee, juice, and then, no more. The appearance looks old, and asked the staff, almost 30 years, the room has no safe, the toilet has been leaking, the door is opened with a key, the anti-lock is also a key, I feel that the room rate is a bit worthless.
Must begin thanking the front office staff for being helpful and concerned, to accommodate us at absolute short notice. Being ejected out of Mercure, despite having a confirmed reservation, we were desperate for a hotel to sleep over. Jardy popped up on bookings.com. The hotel staff had not received the bookings online confirmation, but the front office went out of the way to provide us rooms for the night. On entering the room, you realise it gets over before it starts. Very minimalisitc features and amenities. Not sure, who decides on the star ratings (Jardy has a 4-star rating!!!). a poor wifi connection. Very ordinary and inadequate lighting in the room. All rooms are non-smoking. The hotel does not have a bar. The one restaurant in the hotel serves some food and also is the breakfast place. The comforter is kept folded in the cupboard. Dont be surprised not finding one on the bed. The rooms have split AC units and the unit in my room was not functional. Luckily the weather was nippy and i did not have a need for the AC.The hotel itself is located in a busy suburb, sorrounded by car mechanic shops. they do have a shuttle to and from the airport. It is also located not very far from the airport. The breakfast spread was ordinary, but decent. . i would not want to stay at the Jardy for comfort or ambience. Did see a lot of arab families staying there. i suppose the absence of liquor makes Jardy their prefered choice.
It could be a fantastic hotel just needs to shake off the Fawlty Towers image. If, when tourism kicks off here this hotel given a make over will be the leading hotel in the city. For now there are too many for me to give this hotel a higher rating. If you want nostalgia and are prepared to put up with the negatives then this place is a must for you.
