Breakfast is only included for 1 person, even if 2 staying in room ... this seems to be a Ghanaian thing. Security on entrance. |1.15km from city centerAccra Marriott hotel was my perfect place of stay ,from check-in to checkout was superb , Christmas was at it best at the Marriott hotel, though I had my Christmas break planned a short chat with officer boadu changed my plans he told me about the hotel Christmas plans and asked me to check it out at the front office and wow it was a blast, I won't deny that the Sunday Christmas buffet was the best ,my friends I had planned to go somewhere with rather joined me here at the hotel to enjoy the food, local dishes were served and I took my time to enjoy, great suggestions that added more fun to my stay great local drink like sobolo wow am hoping to come back again next Christmas 🎁🎁

|4.76km from city centerWe returned to Accra from other parts of Ghana for one night prior to flying home. We stayed at Frankie's because our previous hotel (Urbano) was booked. Many of the things I noted in the review of Urbano apply to Frankie's - well located on Oxford Road. The room at Frankie's was the largest we had in Accra. Also the wi-fi was the best we had. Staff were friendly and helpful. There is no elevator in the hotel. The entrance is up a flight of stairs from the street -- this makes it probably a bit quieter than Urbano though less accessible for some. The breakfast is served in the restaurant in the hotel. It is included with the room. It is not a buffet; one selects from a menu. Nonetheless it was very good. We were very pleased with Frankie's

Juliet at reception is exceptional. - Beautiful grounds and setting, well maintained lawns with palm trees and flowers. Right by the sea. - Amazing pool with swim up bar and plenty of sunbeds - Nice restaurant with good breakfast choice and also the Ghanaian village restaurant overlooking the beach is lovely, especially the Sunday buffet. - Rooms are nice - we changed a couple of times but ended up in a Club room in 15 block. Everything was good, except a couple of maintenance issues which were quickly resolved. - hotel is spotlessly clean Not so good points - the hotel feels like it has a fading glamour, this was my 3rd stay here and it feels like no money is invested in small things which would make a difference (for example new sunbeds and furniture around the pool, ensuring all balcony doors open). It feels as though there could be improvements made by the management in maintenance and upkeep to bring it back to a more luxury resort. - there were few guests but far too many staff - one day at breakfast there was 2 tables eating (4 people in total including us) and 9 staff - waiters and waitresses standing around with nothing to do. It made it feel quite intimidating and seemed totally inefficient. Given it is a help yourself buffet I don’t know why 9 waitresses would ever be required!

|1.83km from city centerOur worst experience started from the reception when we were met by a dark skinned receptionist (name unknown). Her facial expressions and attitudes were condescending towards my wife & I. Then she asked for my credit card, which was in my checked in luggage; I informed her that I do not feel comfortable opening my luggage infront of everyone at the lobby. She did not care or show any form of understanding. It was the porter (Isaac) who was fast thinking and considerate; he took me to a small storage room to remove my card wallet. After we have made payment, she did not communicate effectively about the caution charge of 200USD. So my wife & I though she meant GHC, she just stared at us and belittling us with her eyes. This was how we were meant at the reception before checking in our loft. The Following morning, I asked her if she got the 200USD since she had Isaac follow us to our room and get it. She started accusing us of incomplete payments, knowing fully well that I was charged by my bank. I stood my ground that I do not owe anything & we were in a hurry to leave for our tour. We had 2 minutes of back & forth; my wife & I were so pissed of these accusations. When we got back in the evening, she realized her mistakes and apologized but the damage was already done. We couldn’t wait to check out asap on our third day. When we were checking out, she didn’t bother to remind us about the caution fee she was so eager to collect; until my wife reminded her. She looked displeased at the reminder; I guess she wanted it herself. Customer Service is Zero here; any young individuals or couples please stay away from here. I would never recommend this organization to anyone. Thanks to Aqua Safari that saved us from the misery of Kwarleyz.

|3.36km from city centerMy family and I had a lovely stay, there were 5 of us sharing a 3 bedroom Air BNB apartment - we had two bathrooms/toilets, one was ensuite. The rooms led onto a balcony and were spacious, airy and light. Our contact for booking the apartment was with Mr Eliphaz and during our stay, any concerns or questions we had, Christopher or Patience were always at the other end of the phone or on site to assist. The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed, TV, fridge, cooker, microwave, air conditioning etc. All in good working condition. The apartment was cleaned daily and we were provided with clean towels, daily as well. The property had a restaurant on site, 2 swimming pools, gym which were all part of our package. We also had breakfast included, you could eat in the restaurant or have it delivered to your apartment. The atmosphere overall was brilliant, especially at night. Embassy gardens is conveniently located next to all the restaurants at Labone. Easy location for Uber drivers to find as well. Property has a reception area always manned and a security person at the main entrance 24/7. Any concerns we had were dealt with immediately. We all had a great stay and are hoping to revisit again very soon and also recommend to family and friends.

|4.34km from city centerdoesn't seem like a lot of ”current” Tripadvisor reviews and I'm not in total agreement with the ones which have been posted. This 5 star review is because of the ”experience” and ”overall rating”. I've been in a room at the hotel as part of a group for the last 4 weeks. I will stay another 3 weeks while others of our team come and go. I first arrived while Oak Plaza was under renovation and some in our group (including me) had to change rooms because of different problems. The 5 star rating is because of the responsiveness of ”Daniel”, one of the managers ,as well as ALL of the staff. NOTE that all of the issues with ”JamRock” restaurant have not been resolved but the owner/manager of JamRock has really really impressed me with both her plans and results after complaints. There is now a ”killer” soft taco meal on the menu and it is absolutely super. They just started a Sunday lunch/afternoon buffet with a great grill, side dishes and unlimited palm wine. The swimming pool area is fantastic and the hotel is constantly working to improve. Per my comment about the 5 star review reflecting my experience and an ”overall” rating - what has most impressed me is the level of team work and ownership of the entire management. I asked for internet in the exercise room and was told by the tech worker that it would be there eventually - but after Daniel got my complaint, wifi was installed the next day. Update in about 3 weeks.

The location is really safe, it’s clean, limited places to eat around you have to travel at least 10mins to restaurants. Anyways Samuel was not a very good host. He didn’t respond to our calls, he really didn’t seem interested in hosting us, unfriendly and distant.

Our party also had the peri peri chicken which was tender and delicious, also we had the pasta arrabbiata. The person eating the pasta had food allergies and the dish was adapted beautifully. The lobby is open and inviting. The desk agents are excellent and will be very helpful with any questions! The ROOM was fantastic. It was VERY clean, there is an electric pot to boil water, a hair dryer and several universal outlets (so if you are coming from the U.S. you do not need to worry about purchasing a converter. At least one bedside stand has a universal plug and there is one in the bathroom. The shower was great (great water pressure and hot water). Cleaning staff was also very helpful. If you are a nervous traveler (and I am!!!!!) this is really a great place for you. Everything is VERY CLEAN. Bottled water is provided in the room daily. I did not eat breakfast but my husband had breakfast every day of our stay and enjoyed fresh made to order omelets, pastry, hot tea, juices, and other standard breakfast items. We were cautious about eating fresh fruit and vegetables, but they were in abundance! We did eat dinner at the hotel most nights. You can order off the menu but we always ordered the buffet. There were many options -a combination so Western foods and traditional Ghanaian foods. The meals were delicious. We enjoyed the servers also who regularly circulated to clear plates and ask for drink orders. (You can order a large bottled water which is enough for four people. Since there was only two of us, we took the remainder to our room for later use. I honestly have no complaints at all about this property. The grounds are really lovely, it has a nice pool (that is rarely busy), the hotel is close to the airport and easily accessible to other downtown locations (with a driver). We would love to return to Ghana and we would look forward to staying at Fiesta Royale!

|12.98km from city centerThis Best Western Plus Accra Beach Hotel's location has been my ideal spot away from the buzz of the city for several visits now. They offer great food, drinks, clean rooms and EXCEPTIONAL service. First FOOD. The breakfast is delicious and offers local dishes. Staff is personable and REMEMBER guest likes and dislikes. Two, DRINKS! Bartenders make a show of mixing drinks. However, this may be the reason that the bar can get busy at times and guests can be OVERLOOKED. This is the only time I have experienced anything negative during my stay. When this occurred, it did not go unnoticed by one of the Food and Beverage staff members. This brings me to focus on EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE and PROFESSIONALISM. A gentleman, Mr. Prosper, who is part of the Food and Beverage Team, quickly apologized for the incident and made sure to being it to the attention of the staffers who were in training at the time. The young staffer who had overlooked me at the bar, even located my room to offer personal apologies. Outside of that, the site is well cared for and the rooms have amazing views of the ocean, or the pool side area. Families will also enjoy a stay or even a day at this FRIENDLY location.

|3.59km from city centerI stayed in one of the rooms which was clean, had AC, light and running water. Wifi works throughout the whole area. The food was a very positive surprise - the reasonably priced vegetarian avocado sandwiches and wraps were so tasty that I ordered a second round. The breakfast was also nice, if not large it contained bread with several types of jam, several tropical fruits and some smoothie which was sufficient to stay the day. There is a fridge where one can put some food/drinks subject to space and they have clean tap water in the sink. The pool works fine but is somewhat small and more to cool yourself than to swim. Staff is very nice and the area is safe with gated walls. Most balconies are on the street side and there is some sound but not more than one should expect when living in a bigger city. The location is close to the airport and reasonably close to the city center although not on walking distance to the main sights. There are many backpackers and travelers staying at the site making it a good hub if you are interested in connect with others for travel. All in all this seems to be one of the better options for those seeking hostel type stays in Accra.

The venue was amazing, the staff were courteous, friendly and extremely attentive to detail, especially Mavis Adutwumwaa-Opoku, the Banqueting Co-ordinator who attended to our every need. The atmosphere, food and facilities were excellent and I would highly recommend this venue for both business and pleasure. High marks all around to the wonderful, friendly and helpful staff, too many to mention individually.

I’m picky and did not like the configuration of my original room; but, the hotel staff personally showed me other rooms available until I found one that I loved. That’s service!!
