Beautiful hotel in lovely surroundings and only a 10 minute walk into Bath city centre. Situated up on a hill so great views over looking Bath. We booked in as a last minute stay for my partners birthday, within minutes I had a call from the owner to confirm and make all arrangements, Dorian was really friendly, organised and made everything so easy so we knew exactly what to expect on arrival The room itself was stunning but there are also so many beautiful touches from the treats left in the room, the way the towels are so beautifully patterned on the bed, an area in the lounge with an honesty bar with bottles of wine/beer and even including free pour and our favourite section is a cute little stand with pots of bath salts and body scrubs to take to the room! Everything has been so well thought of to make sure you have what you need for a perfect stay! I did mention it was my partners birthday and Dorian made sure it was extra special because of that which was a very unexpected and very welcomed suprise and made our day! Breakfast was amazing! Top quality food and they honestly can't try to feed you enough, we heard them offering us and every table in the room all sorts of extra's to really make sure people were well fed, no holding back and nothing was too much trouble, presentation and quality was so on point! The wait staff we phenominal, Dorian himself is just fab and overall our stay blew us away!

This is a lovely Villa just on the outskirts of Bath that is well decorated and has 8 Free parking spaces. Our room was on the ground floor with a large tiled bathroom featuring a a wet room type shower . The bedroom was very clean with lots of storage , tea and coffee facilities, a fan if needed and an extremely comfy bed. The Cooked Breakfast option offered is extremely good with cereals ,yoghurts and small pastries also offered in the breakfast room . The Coffee is also excellent .Although this Villa has no overnight caretaker and you have to let yourself in with a keycode , when we had a minor problem the first night it was dealt with straight away. My only negative is where it is positioned and probably only applies if you are travelling alone and wish to walk into Bath . The Villa is on a hill and to get into the town you will have to cross the railway by steep old stone stairs leading to a tunnel and then the bridge (which thankfully is flat). Certainly not pleasant in the dark or if like me you struggle with stairs . We booked an accessible room because of this and were unaware that walking into town would be so difficult . I suggest if you have walking problems that you drive in and try and find a parking space .

Just returned from a 2 night stay and the hotel was spot on ! I had to ring the evening before as I had booked the wrong date, Sam was super helpful and continued to be so when we checked in the following day and he was on reception, greeted me as a gold member . He had a room ready and offered an early check in, and even accommodated ensuring I had a quiet room. Breakfast was better than expected considering it was included, and there were plenty of extra tea bags and coffee sachets by the lifts if you needed more for your room. Staff were friendly and room was basic but comfortable - as advertised ! Big thanks to Sam, as this trip could have started very differently ….. Will definitely work myself back to platinum with IHG now. :-)

Our first visit to Bath and we found this B&B to be idealy located for walking into the City and all its attractions. The bedroom was comfortable with and very clean as was the bathroom facility. A fan was provided to make sleep more comfortable. In the morning we went down to the immaculate kitchen diner which was very homely and breakfast was cooked to order by our host Monika with many choices including salmon and scrambled egg or a very large full English. We couldn't fault the breakfast experience or the B&B and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone and at £130 for the room including breakfast it was excellent value. Thank you Monika.

Great location 5 min walk from Pulteney Bridge - lovely terrace overlooking the bowling green and cricket ground towards the Abbey. We had a room in one of the more recent additions to the Bird - whilst this was next to the Bar and terrace it was very quiet and extremely spacious. Fantastic spa bath and large separate shower. Not given 5 stars as the room, whilst really plush did not have a window with a view ( skylight with electric blind) and was quite warm. I’m not in favour of automatically air conditioning rooms, however, this room does need additional cooling. The Hotel are aware of the need for cooling and will no doubt address the issue. Would certainly not stop us booking again - special mention for Caroline and Howard - members of the team you should be proud of.

I was surprised to have booked an authentic British-style hotel with a history of more than 200 years. Clean, tidy, bright and elegant, the quilt is warm and the heating is sufficient. I ordered breakfast included. Breakfast is very formally ordered from the menu. It is worth more than 20 pounds and is very delicious. I think the price/performance ratio is high. The hotel is very close to the Royal Crescent, but there is a long slope. It is a bit difficult to carry suitcases with you. It is good if you have a car.

We booked directly, in January, with the hotel taking up an offer for our March stay. This is a 5 star hotel and we upgraded our room a few days before arrival. The room was lovely with a comfortable 4 poster bed and all facilities as expected. Breakfast was not as we had expected for a 5 star hotel. We had to choose a time to eat, did the earlier people have all the yoghurt? By the time (8.45) we arrived we were scraping the bottom of the deep jar and our cooked breakfast was a meagre portion. The potato cake was very thin, like cardboard, a single thin rasher of bacon and a slice of mushroom. Thank goodness I asked for a grilled tomato! We had to ask for toast that 1st morning. The coffee pot was barely enough for one, we had to ask for more! We had booked to eat in the Vellore Restaurant for my birthday but decided to cancel this, as seemed expensive and breakfast had put us off! So we chose to eat from the bar menu instead, taking the meal in the lounge. Unfortunately the room was pretty cold, we heard other guests complaining about this. Guests can ask for fresh milk to go with the complimentary tea and coffee, but be aware a tiny jug of milk is £6. However the staff were friendly and extremely helpful and the hotel is well situated for the town.

Last month we stayed in the Premier Inn 100 yds down the road from the Hampton and boy the hotels are like chalk and cheese with the Hampton winning hands down. Reception brighter with plenty of cheerful receptionists to check you in. Rooms are well laid out with everything you need including a safe, fridge, hair drier and iron. Lovely big walk in shower with plenty of toiletries to hand and lovely fluffy towels and believe it or not flannels. Two sets are laid out in the bathroom ready for use. We had a twin room and found the beds to be larger than an average single bed, very comfortable and lovely bed linen. The TV on the wall is huge with plenty of channels to keep you entertained. Wifi is free. As for the breakfast well we found plenty of choice - sausages, mushrooms, beans, hash browns and scrambled egg. There was toast, croissants and muffins, fresh fruit, cold meats and cheese and I also spied pots of Oats so Simple you could make up and a waffle maker which was very popular. Given that this was included in the price (unlike the competitor where you have to pay an additional £9.50 for breakfast) we found it was a good enough start to our day. Location is great with the only downside, as with most city hotels, there is no on site parking. Quids cheaper than the competitor when we booked what is not to like?

Currently driving home down the M4 after having no alternative but to check out early after only 1 night of our 2 night stay. To start off with, on our drive to the hotel we phoned up to double check what time reception was open until as we may be late due to traffic. My partner gave all the booking details to be told that they couldn’t find a booking for us, in the end my partner admittedly had to put the phone down as she was having to continuously repeat herself and which was causing her frustration and to panic a bit. Upon arrival my partner and I were pleasantly pleased with the look of the hotel from outside. Our minds were put at rest when we were checked in, no trouble finding our booking on arrival compared to when we phoned. We were then shown around the dining room and living room area which seemed rather dated yet comfortable. We were then taken down to our room downstairs from reception which was next to one other hotel room. This was then when I realised it wasn’t a 4 * standard room. Room very dated and musky smell, electrical wires exposed in the bathroom, see picture. Nonetheless we accepted it was clean and comfortable and make do with what he has got despite not meeting expectations. We spent one night which we would describe as reasonable even though our room was underneath the main entrance we could hear people walking in and out and also hear next door snoring through the non-sound proof walls. Next morning breakfast we would say was actually pretty good, compliments to the waitress who was serving on her own yet was polite and helpful. We then went into Bath for the day, when we arrived back in the afternoon to be greeted by several cars full of women on a hen party who had arrived to stay at the hotel. Whilst we had no problem with that the main room being used by the hens was the bedroom next door to us in the basement. We went into our room but all we could hear was loud music, laughing and joking from the next room through the non-sound proofed walls. We soon realised that we would probably get no sleep. My partner went to reception and asked if we can be moved to a different room, to be told no other rooms available and that the hen party was going out soon. My partner said yes they are going out but they will have to return at some point during the night. My partner then asked what would happen if we checked out early and she was advised that we would only get 50% back of remaining 1 night stay. Because of the loud noise coming from the room next door we then decided to check out and drive the 150 miles back home there and then.

Our wedding at the Limpley Stoke Hotel on Saturday 1st October '22 was fabulous! Karen, the events manager, was on hand throughout the entire process, answering any questions we had and helping to ensure our day ran smoothly. The duty manager, George, was excellent and deserves recognition for his work ethic and social skills. He again was on hand to ensure the day ran smoothly, but regularly checked all was OK and nothing seemed too much for him - for example, he offered to heat my nephews food (a one year old), going above and beyond. Hugo, one of the bartenders, also deserves a shout out and recognition! We had multiple guests compliment him - excellent service! All staff on hand to help with the day were lovely, including those available during breakfast the following morning. The only downsides we had were: the DJ assigned to us - poor/lack of communication and also informed us that we could request as many songs as we liked for the evening - he did not play many of these at all, yet continued to ask guests for song requests throughout the night, ignoring the bride and groom. The fact we did not have access to the bridal suite all day/at an earlier time - so had to book a separate, smaller room, the night before for the bridal party to get ready in, with belongings moved across later - we were unable to gain access to the bridal suite until a later time Food was excellent! And the rooms as expected with comfy beds and super views! Thank you

I enjoyed a three night stay at this lovely hotel. Although I was traveling solo, I chose one the larger rooms. Beautifully furnished, exceptionally clean, comfortable, and spacious. I loved it here! I did not need a car. Everything I wanted to see in Bath was within easy walking distance to the Kennard. After a busy day of sightseeing, I appreciated the quiet location of the hotel. Breakfast was served in a pretty dining room. Graciously served, with delicious generous portions. There are several choices of cooked breakfasts, so you don't have to eat the same thing every day if you don't want to. Another feature I enjoyed during my stay was the little ”honesty bar”, where you can help yourself to a glass of wine, or a drink. Most of all, I was happy with the wonderful staff. Everyone I encountered during my stay was welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Staying at the Kennard was the highlight of my visit to Bath, and I highly recommend this hotel.

The location is good, too close to the train station, less than 5 minutes walk, right on the main street. The landlord guy is very handsome. The room we stayed in was better, with two beds, the room would be a bit smaller, but there was a wash basin in the room, and the bathroom was public, but it was relatively clean. It is close to the main street, but the windows have two floors, and the sound insulation is better, and the curtains are good for shading. Breakfast is included, and the boss can also fry eggs, bacon, and sausages, which is also free. It's very close to the city, and it's very convenient to walk to all the attractions. After all, Bath is not big. In peak season, housing prices are high, except for slightly higher prices.

Have returned from a 1 night stay at Hotel Indigo, booked for us by a family member so had done little research on the hotel, we arrived to a really friendly reception and were shown to our room 531. We were so impressed with the room and facilities, the entire place was completely spotless, comfortable beds, ample space and storage options, excellent lighting. The shower was divine! Reception phoned us to check everything was ok shortly after check in which was a nice touch and booked us in for breakfast at the hotels restaurant (The Elder) for the next morning at a time that suited us. Food and drinks at the elder were fantastic although a little pricey but that’s to be expected in Bath, however we didn’t mind the price given the excellent service received. Very close to city centre and all tourist attractions and good options of restaurants and bars all within a short walking distance. I really feel like I need to stress just how clean this entire hotel was, literally spotless in the room and all communal areas, one of the best we have ever stayed in. Nothing was too much to ask, all staff we encountered were more than friendly and made us feel welcome. We would definitely return to this hotel if in Bath again. Fantastic service all round. The hotel is located in the heart of the city but also very peaceful. The hotel is well equipped and attentive. I originally planned to give this hotel a good evaluation, and the quality service made me more impressed. You will find that their service is particularly in place and pays attention to details. For example, the staff prepared a mellow cup of tea for me at breakfast, which won my heart. This is the tip of the iceberg of the hotel's excellent service, and there are too many such intimate services.

The conditions of the youth hostel are limited, you can check in at 3:00 pm, you can rent a small cabinet for 1-2 pounds on the ground floor (it is no problem to put a small suitcase and a bag), and then you can wander around freely Pick up your luggage. In the evening, I went to the downstairs bar to join in the fun. The clerk recommended me a cocktail that was not bad. It was great to chat and sing songs with other tourists!
