I recently enjoyed a “daycation” at Rosewood Sand Hill. Started with a workout in the gym. The facility is well-stocked with equipment - free weights, machines, mats, peloton bikes - and it’s very clean and well-maintained. There’s even an outside area with bikes and weights if you’re more comfortable exercising out there. Next, I had a relaxing massage at the spa. Fong was my practitioner. She was very pleasant and attentive. Worked out the tightness in my shoulders and back. I even managed to drift off for a few minutes. The spa has great little extras - everything I needed to get ready for the rest of my day: hairdryer, hair and body product. Finally - a leisurely lunch on the patio at Madera. Had the ricotta + grilled bread, devilled eggs, flank steak, and spinach. Probably more food than I really needed, but I wanted to try it all..and it was delicious. I especially liked the spinach, prepared with golden raisins and pine nuts. I also loved the devilled eggs - topped with a little bit of trout roe…so it was like eggs on eggs :) Overall, it was such a wonderful experience. The service, as always, is impeccable. The staff remember me from the last time I was there and welcome me back like it’s my second home. Looking forward to my next visit - when I will definitely try the octopus.

I was at Stanford attending a conference and had an amazing experience at The Clement. I loved everything about this hotel and it reminded me of my favorite hotels in Singapore, Lugano and Dubai. I stay in a lot of hotels and most of the time I am ready to return home. I could live at The Clement. The customer service is amazing and staying in a small hotel (23 suites) with everything included is a great experience. The staff (Bernie and Gail) and everyone I came into contact with treated us like royalty. The downside to this hotel is that it makes it difficult to go back to a regular hotel. I've stayed at both the Westin and Four Seasons in Palo Alto and The Clement is superior on every level. The amenities include 3 meals a day, snacks, drinks, beautiful suite, comfortable bed, heated floors, Toto Washlet bidet, Italian linens, soaking tub and a personal note written and signed by Mr. Clement Chen, the owner. This experience is one that you will fondly remember and I highly recommend this hotel.

Have fami!y in Stanford comp!ex. Have stayed at Hotel Parmani this past week in October. With the covid protocols affecting the normal Hotel Parmani (Hotel is a bit of a misnomer...it's a motel) situation, we have adjusted our expectations as well. We were looking for a week long visit. Our requirements are : Quality and value- our budget is like most, we are not uber rich but can pay for a motel/hotel. Hotel Parmani is good value for what you get. Cleanliness- The place has dated interiors but clean. Nothing was worn or not clean. Comfortabiility- Bed was fine. Towels were fine TV had premium channels. Coffee maker-fridge-microwave. The cool/heat unit was an older model on the wall. P!entry of air conditioning in the 90 degree days. Staff- The housekeepers were great along with management Asked for more towels and pillows. Got them quickly. Location- right within the Camino Real Avenue business area. Not too noisy in these civic days. Restaurants a stores within walking. Parking spots in lot were plentiful for us. I would recommend Hotel Parmani for those with an eye on the wallet but still want a good place to stay. I've compared several motels/hotels in the area and Hotel Parmani fits right at the top with my budget checklist. We could have paid double the amount for another motel, as we did last year, but saving $$$ a night was a big factor.

The breakfast is included, choice of bagel, toast, sweet rolls and cereal, granola, juice, fruit, and yogurt. No protein. The room I had was a king bed and it was small. but very comfortable. We had a 1 bedroom king room (135), top floor, up front next to El Camino Real. Very recently remodeled. This was our 3rd or 4th stay here. We stay there when I need to go to Stanford for medical visits. It is close to food (Driftwood Deli!) and very close to Stanford. A very easy drive. Our room was very clean, and even though it was next to the road, it was nice and quiet. It had everything you needed, a micro, refrig w/small freezer compartment and nice size bathroom with separate vanity area. One thing that was really great was the room had very good lighting! It is rare to find this these days in a lot of rooms. I cannot say enough about the people who own and operate the motel. I wish I had all their names. They are so wonderful and friendly and accomodating. Possibly the nicest people I have ever dealt with at motels/hotels. They have a lot of customers who are going to Stanford and they deal with them with compassion and caring. This is our go to place when we have to go to Stanford. I strongly recommend the Stanford Motor Inn!

I’m really happy with our stay here. The place looks really nice and even if it’s in a city, the way they designed the buildings around the creek and gardens made it look like you’re staying somewhere else closer to nature. All the places we went to that day were close drives like San Jose to check out Winchester or eat at San Mateo they’re all just 20-30 min drive. The rooms were clean, they had everything I needed for our stay. We bought some wine and forgot wine opener but the hotel had one! They even had qtips and nail files. Just little random things we don’t get to see in other hotels. The robes were a nice touch as well. The biggest reason why I loved my stay here was after checking out and driving 3 hours back home, I realized I forgot my AirPods on the bed. I called them immediately and they got a hold of it the next day. They were able to send it back to me! I was so happy getting it back. The service is definitely great, the staff were super friendly from check in to even when I would get on the phone with them about my missing item. Would definitely recommend this place!

The best thing about Hotel Keen is the location. It is right in the heart of downtown Palo Alto, within minutes of walking to a large number of great restaurants. After considering location, the hotel has pros and cons. One thing to know is that this is a converted SRO facility. The rooms are small and basic. We reserved the larger size room ("comfy room") and received a ground floor room. It was dark, and the window opened on a shaft between buildings, with little natural light. We could have dealt with that, but the room has no bathroom door, just a curtain. That may be fine if you are traveling alone, but it doesn't offer any privacy if you are sharing the room. We talked with the front desk and got relocated to a 3rd floor, smaller room ("cozy room"), but it was much better. If had good light, ventilation, and a door to the bathroom. If this is an important issue to you, make sure you check what you are getting. We ended up finding the cozy room, just that, quite cozy. A nice place to sleep after a night out in Palo Alto. It is too small for a desk, so you couldn't do any work there. Breakfast was minimal, and the front desk was intermittently staffed. On balance, it was ok once we changed rooms, but I'm probably not going back.

Next to the Stanford Shopping Centre, the service details are very good and the cookies delivered at check-in are delicious. There is a self-service laundry service. There is a table and chairs for each guest in front of the corridor in front of each room. In short, it is very intimate and worth recommending.

Stayed a couple of nights midweek in a King room, #201, for a very reasonable, especially for Palo Alto, total of just under $115.00 a night. The room charge includes an “Accommodation Fee” of $5.79 a night (I wish these “fees” were just included in the basic room price). Be aware that The Zen is a motel, not a hotel. It is an older lodging, but kept up very well. The front desk staff were very welcoming. The room was very clean and comfortable, not a large room, but fine for this solo traveler. A very large 55” or 65” tv with Directv channels was mounted on the wall across from the bed. Plenty of outlets and plug ins for phones, etc. There were 2 big chairs and a rolling desk chair at the desk/counter under the tv. Plenty of drawers and storage area. The king bed was comfortable, but a bit “lumpy”. It may be time for a new mattress. Pillows were those big square pillows which I didn’t use as I bring my own. The bathroom was small with a tub/shower & commode. All towels were large & thick. The sink was on a counter in a separate area just outside the bathroom. This area also included a micro, fridge with small freezer section & coffeemaker with caff & decaf Starbucks coffee pods and a safe. A clothes hanging area was just across from this counter area. There was a nice white robe hanging there for your use. Parking is free and I had no problem with parking. Breakfast is available in the breakfast area and must be taken back to your room (you can use the tray that is initially on your bed). Hot items are scrambled eggs, tater tots, link sausage & oatmeal in a large kettle. Starbucks caff & decaf coffee & teas. A toaster & bread are available. Other items include cold cereals, yogurt, oj, milk, apple juice, small muffins, apples, and a few other items. Here are some updates/changes from previous reviews/pictures and are not meant to criticize, but to provide current accurate information: - In-room toiletries are no longer L’Occitane brand, they are small Rato brand citrus mint shampoo, conditioner, lotion & mouthwash containers. - Snacks & water are no longer in the room; complimentary Kirkland bottled water & small granola bars are available at check-in office. - The pancake machine & smoothies are no longer available at breakfast. - Slippers are no longer provided. I enjoyed my stay at The Zen and will return when in the Palo Alto area.

The male staff in the evening shift is very friendly, very patient, always smiling, and the service is very good! It rained outside and I also borrowed an umbrella for me. The room was great, my room was on the top floor, there was a balcony in the room and the bed was very comfortable! The location is very good, just in the city center, to various attractions, shopping and shopping, the surrounding restaurants are very convenient, it should be the best hotel I have ever stayed on this trip! If you have the chance to go to Berlin again, you have to choose this hotel!

Just had two nights in a room with terrace overlooking the ponds - great view with waterfalls, fountains and such colourful gardens. Definitely recommend this hotel. Service was definitely with a smile - two tasty breakfasts of French toast with berries and Californian omelette. Pool was so warm and plenty of sun beds. Gardens with pretty bridges, and the various artifacts the owners have collected added to a great ambiance at this hidden gem

It's old and the surrounding environment is average. Because I went to another relatively new comfort, I had a good impression. I didn't expect that the price near this Silicon Valley is not cheap but it is too general in all aspects. There are many fast foods in the surrounding area, but Silicon Valley obviously consumes it. High, fortunately not far from Google and Stanford University.

Overall had a good experience here. We stayed on the lower floor, very close to both the lobby and pool. Rooms were clean, large kitchen, was able to ship things from amazon and they would be kept at the front desk for me. Staff was very nice. Pool was nice except the top had leaves/pollen on it, which is obviously understandable, just didn't look clean at first glance. Breakfast is served poolside, though there is not much of a selection, but there are plenty of places around to go. Location is great, on a main road, with stores and restaurants all less than 5 minutes away. Even with construction going on outside, we were able to sleep without being waken. Good value for price, had no issues other than breakfast during our stay

I cannot speak highly enough about this establishment, its service, and the food! We recently had my sisters bridal shower at this location, and it was such a unparalleled experience from start to end. Jesse Bresnahan, the Director of Events, and his team truly excel at what they do. From the moment we arrived at the valet the morning of the event it all went so smoothly. The staff the day of the event was PHENOMENAL; the service was truly exceptional. Julian Quintero, the supervisor, was wonderful the entire event and assured we kept on schedule without being overbearing. Raul Banderas, Jose Hernandez and Pablo Caricio were WONDERFUL the entire event. They immediately offered to help us set up the flowers and remaining décor when we initially arrived and continued to offer their assistance with everything and anything we needed that day. Most notably, every single one (and I truly mean every single one) of our guests COMPLIMENTED the service by Julian, Raul, Jose and Pablo that day. I also cannot say enough about how well presented and how delectable the food was that day. The appetizers were beyond delicious (ahi tuna cone, I am talking about you), the salad, the chicken dish, and the desserts were also all sooo scrumptious. The crowd favorites, however, were the ahi tuna and the garlic shrimp appetizers. (HIGHLY RECOMMEND). The arugula salad was also loved by all. All of the aforementioned gentlemen, including the talented chefs, truly helped make the event go flawlessly and memorably for the bride and her family throwing the event. I would unequivocally recommend this hotel and its staff.

Pros: (For this part, this hotel deserved a 5-star review) 1. Rohan the front desk manager was nice. He made me feel welcome. He acknowledged the Hilton gold member status right away and offered the perks without me asking. He offered $ 10 breakfast credit or additional reward points.Which I picked the breakfast credit. He also gave us an upgrade to a bigger room and waived the parking fee. 2. The room is really clean and everything in great order. For example, the bathtub held the temperature of water for a long time and the shower drains fast. The bed is firm, which I like a lot. The thermostat, the refrigerator, the TV, etc all in great condition. The edges of the bathroom walls or around the bathtub also looked very clean. 3. The gym, the swimming pool, and the hot tub are all well maintained.4. The location is really good. Close to all the places we need to go. 5. The room does not have any strange smell. Cons: (For this part, one star out of five was removed) 1. Billing system: Used the Hilton app to checkout on my mobile phone. The pdf of the receipt never arrive in my email. So I went to the front desk to ask for a printout of the receipt. That was when I found out that all the perks (waive parking fee, breakfast credit, etc) promised at check-in for gold member status were not honored and my credit card was charged. The front desk manager could not find the credits in the system until I mentioned Rohan's name. Then the credits were finally applied and I got a new receipt. So it is always a great idea to make sure you review the receipt before leaving the hotel to avoid surprises like that. 2. $12.95 continental breakfast per person is steep, considering what you get. There are just some cut fruits, pastries, and bagels, and Quaker instant oatmeal in the cup. I was expecting some eggs, pancakes or hash browns for that price. I don't recommend it unless you need the convenience of eating breakfast in the hotel and you are given the $10 credits. 3. Instructions about the facility are lacking: I could not find the pool hours and breakfast hours on the hotel website or in the app. I did not see any posted signs about the hours, either. Had to ask the front desk for information. 4. The blackout curtain in the bedroom cannot totally be pulled to the center to cover the entire window. It left a big gap (about 4 feet wide). got woken up by the bright light early. 5.$15 parking fee.

The motel is old so parking spaces under first floor are quite small and not easy to use if you have an SUV. Due to parking area one has to walk up a flight of stairs to get to the first floor. It appears to be recently remodeled but when re-keying the lock on the door huge chunks of wood were gouged out of the door frame. This left a gap of more than an inch on the lock side letting in dust and noise and didn't feel very secure. The mini-split air conditioner was positioned on the wall behind the bed; it was impossible to control so the room was very cold. The toilet paper holder was hanging by a nail and ready to fall off the wall. The location was perfect but the street noise was loud and constant. The desk had a nice ergonomic chair and there was another area with a table and chairs. The room was very large and, oddly along one wall was counter with a sink. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The biggest plus was the laminate floor - have always found hotel carpeting suspect. The other big plus was the front office staff. They couldn't have been nicer and were helpful and courteous
