Our room was located on the opposite side of the building and we were not inconvenienced at all. It was quiet as well as located in walking distance to access to eating and a mall the shop in.

Close to restaurants and shopping. We were there for the National gymnastics competition and the kids enjoyed the pool. Continental breakfast with some hot options. Excellent, friendly breakfast attendant - Patricia. I didn’t notice any traffic noise. No problems with wifi. The only complaints I had were the slow elevators and that I was not explained the housekeeping services.

|4.7km from city centerThe check in process was ok, although I believe the young lady who assisted me was fairly new to the job so the other gentleman working helped to answer a lot of my questions. They were busy since this was during spring break in the Chicagoland area, Spring Training was occurring and they are located right next to Sloan Park which would logically add to their occupancy. The standard check in time per their website is 4pm. I arrived very early, like 1030am, so I understood that my room was not yet ready since check out wasn’t until 12n. I was notified about 2pm that my room was ready and I was pleased it was ready a bit early until I walked in and took a look around. Sadly it was still dirty. The trash has been emptied and the bedding and towels appeared clean, but my remote control looked like someone blew their nose on it, the room was incredibly dusty, and their was a hairball in the shower. I pointed the remote and the dust out to the housekeeping staff. The supervisor was very apologetic about the condition of the remote control and even provided $40 in vouchers for Stats Grill when she returned with a new remote, but the room was still VERY dusty. Rather than add another “complaint” about the room to their list I decided to just use a wash rag to dust figuring the dusty wash rag would be seen when they came in to clean the room the following day, and dust isn’t nearly as gross as dried snot on a remote. The following morning I left the dusty wash rag on the table along with an empty tissue box I wanted to be sure was replaced with a full one and headed off to the Grand Canyon. When I returned 10 hours later and the room hasn’t been touched. On my way out to dinner I stopped at the front desk and asked what the cleaning schedule was for the rooms, only to find out they don’t enter guest rooms during their stay unless asked to do so. I found this odd considering the Las Vegas situation changed most hotel policies to require, at a minimum, daily inspections, even if it’s just a quick look in the room for safety, and this hotel is right next to Sloan Park which is a particularly high crowd location for about 2 months a year. Aside from finding it odd they didn’t do daily room checks I didn’t think anything more of it though since I travel so often and don’t necessarily need my room attended to daily. I asked them to drop off a box of tissues in my room, which they did, and I headed off to dinner and to watch a friend’s game. I had no other issues with the room the remaining 3 days of my stay…or so I thought. Thursday March 31st at around noon, I stopped at the front desk and asked about how they handle the check out process. They explained the process and that there was no need to do anything with them so I thanked them and made my way to the airport to return my rental car and head home. When I woke up the morning of Friday April 1st I found that I had been charged $250 for “guest damage” and that “damage” was for SMOKING in the room. Here’s

Only problem was that due to a wind storm, the pool was closed because it was full of dirt. Sad because it was so dang hot.

I read online by some other guests staying there in 2022 that they were IHG members and this was not an IHG hotel in 2022. IHG has really high standards and they wouldn't have opened if they didn't meet them. I'm am not affiliated with the hotel but know for a fact that the NEW IHG Holiday Inn Express at the old MK address is top notch, clean and nothing like the reviews for MK in 2022. I have stayed there this month, it's super clean and everything works in the rooms I've stayed in including fast Internet. Breakfast was great, rooms clean and new TVs. I travel every week and I'm very picky. I just changed airlines last week cause I won't put up with bad places and services. I'll be back in Mesa next week and I'll be back at the HIE Mesa.

Rooms were a good size and clean and we had everything we needed. It was nice to have a full size fridge and Microwave. There was also a hot plate and a dishwasher. Beds and couch were comfortable. Two tv's - main room and bedroom. Pool is nice with towels available. Breakfast was good although repetitive. Staff were super friendly and helpful. I would absolutely stay here again.

|18.06km from city centerAlthough this hotel has a 24 hr shuttle and is close to the airport, that's about all it has going for it. The shuttle driver talked constantly from pick up to drop off at a rapid fire pace. Friendly, but over the top. There were frequently people hanging out in the lobby without masks and no request from staff to comply. Sometimes, whole groups of people such as a team or perhaps construction or fire fighters. Felt very unsafe. The elevator bell was one of the most loud and annoying I've heard anywhere. The AC was a wall type unit that made falling asleep challenging. There were several customers at the bar with no separation and clearly we're not together. We decided to sit outside on the patio and get a bit to eat. Very few options. Our sub sandwich came in about 5 min's and the bread was terribly soggy. Appears the quick delivery to our table must have been due to the food being premade and sitting in a cooler. The room was clean and the staff friendly, but I will be seeking other options on future trips.

|3.57km from city centerMEDICAL PROCEDURE BOOKING: I booked a room for myself and my daughter because I was having a procedure done on my spine and I had to stay close to the Dr to 24 hours after. I booked this particular hotel because it had free breakfast and an outdoor pool, something my daughter could.enjoy while I slept off the anesthesia. Upon arrival, we were told we would be charged $200 refundable deposit, which was not communicated to me upon booking the room, the pool was closed which was not disclosed to me a the time of booking and breakfast was not being served. I was extremely upset to find out that all the reasons I booked this specific hotel was for the amenities offered. The room was clean and the mattress was the best mattress I've ever slept on in my 43 years.

|3.5km from city centerI was in town for one night and it was convenient for me to stay here. The room was fine, except that a room with two beds does not leave room for a lounge chair. The pool area is attractive and large, although some repair work needs to be done on the underside of the waterfall bridge. I went for breakfast the next morning. There are basically only two choices: pancakes or eggs, which were attractively presented and the service was friendly. However, whoever designed this dining area in terms of decor was inspired by the charm and intimacy of a Greyhound bus station.

There must have been a sports team in the hotel as youth were very noisy in the halls until about 2:30 am. On top of that, the hotel music on the patio woke us up at 7am. The lighting in the rooms was dim; tough for older people like us. The carpets needed cleaning; when I got in the tub having walked around the room in bare feet, the dirt was telling. The receptionist was great and did a great job of introducing us to the facility; but we probably will choose another Marriott rather than come back to this one.

|4.27km from city centerI had to beg lady at desk for clean sheets and towels and she said she wouldn’t give them to me until I left the dirty ones in a bag outside my door! I explained to her that I had just worked all night and wasn’t going to steal their sheets and that I would bring the dirty ones down immediately if she would just give me the sheets so I could make my bed and go to sleep. She reluctantly gave them to me but was very rude. I get housekeeping has been cut back due to Covid but if I’m doing everything myself then how about helping instead of hindering? Dang! The carpet is pretty bad. People smoke all the time, there was a cigarette butt on the floor for 2 days, the ac doesn’t keep room cool and shuts off frequently as if it had met set temperature. The only positive thing I can say about this place is the location is good and the maintenance gentleman has been the nicest employee and quick to help me when my drain was clogged and fixed the card swipe on the back door plus he always smiles and waves and asked how things are going. Oh and the nt shift clerk gentleman was nice too. If my company hadn’t been paying for my stay I would have bounced out the next night.

Unfortunately there was only one person running around doing her absolute best to take care of 30+ customers at one time. The coffee machine went down and the elderly Karen’s and Chad’s started getting huffy. Jessica was doing the best she could to take care of everyone while trying to fix the coffee machine, cook the sausage and restock everything. There definitely needs to be two people working to keep up with the crowds in the winter months. I just wanted to give a special shout out to Jessica for keeping her cool in a tense situation (elderly vultures around the coffee machine saying, “Why’s the coffee not working?…. I’m going to buy this Best Western so I can make sure the coffee machine works….” PALEEEEASE! Good grief people. The coffee machine got fixed and the sausage was cooked and things were stocked. Life went on. Jessica was great and saved the day.

He looked at tv, said it was the gadget at bottom and turned the channels with remote 6” away. I laughed I want to be able to change channels in bed, LIKE AT HOME!! Told him to bring me a functional tv. Didn’t!!!
Told desk clerks, I need a functioning tv , bring one from another room. She said I don’t know which room? I said any room not in use and has a tv that DOES WORK!!! I need a refund

|5.33km from city centerThe location is great. The maids must be new because there was a huge difference in how absolutely spic and span the inside and out was. Landscaper was on site every other day if not more often and maintenance was always present day and night. We didn't have any issues though. The front desk girl was so nice and quick to accommodate us with a change of rooms since our dog decided that her room and board across town was unsuitable. There was little difference iin rooms. Both great and the rate in comparison is well under I'd say 85% of rooms that offer much less. There are a couple of cranky front desks workers that are quick to stir up some unneeded drama. The afternoon girl makes up for it with her easy going yet quick to acommodate. kindness.Thanks.

The toilet was not secure so every time we went to the bathroom it was wobble and the shower head was tilted at a weird angle with little water pressure and not a lot of hot water, mostly luke warm at best. |1.24km from city centerWhere do I begin? I booked this hotel on through Agoda on 2/27/2022 for check in on 2/28/2022 for one night which was $82.26. I received an email from Agoda hours later at 4:55pm advising that due to a ”highly unusual error” my booking was not completed, and they were refunding my money which could take up to 30 days. This was annoying but like any rational person I rebooked the room but for an additional night - check in at 3pm on 2/28/2022 and checkout on 3/02/2022 after 11AM for 2 nights at $228.51 (robbery for the quality of room which I had yet to find out). Btw, you also have to put down a card for a small deposit, which is fine, but this isn’t mentioned anywhere when booking and I had paid in full online prior. I checked in at this hotel and to call it a dump would be putting it lightly. Of course, the pictures online make the inn look 10 times better than it actually is - long story short, the check-in is through a window outside, the bed is hard and creaky, the room smelled like dank, humid mold, there is plenty of bathroom mold around the interior of the shower, the shower curtain was filthy and the someone drew a phallus on it (would it be too hard to change the shower curtain?), the floor was dirty and made the bottom of my feet dirty when I took off my slides and walked around, the sink drained slowly, and the shower water was lukewarm at best. I stayed the night (with much regret, ignoring the overhead banging/thuds above my room) and left in the morning. The area is shady, so I got up about half a dozen times that night to make sure my car was still there. I returned late at night, Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at approx. 11AM ready for one last night in hell (had I cancelled I would've lost my money as it was nonrefundable) and my key cards don't work. I go to the ”office” (outside window) and I'm informed my cards don't work because I was supposed to check-out this morning and that all my personal belongings have been bagged up and put into lost and found which I cannot retrieve until the next day because ”lost & found” is a room on the second-floor and the MOD, Jose, gave the only key card to access the room to a housekeeper who was currently at home. Mind you, I have been up since 7AM and worked until 10:40pm. I’m tired and all I wanted to do was close my eyes while taking a shower and pretend I was at the Hilton I almost booked instead and put this saga behind me, but alas. To say I was furious was an understatement, not only did Agoda/Knights Inn majorly screw up my reservation, but they took my things and denied me access to them all because the manager figured it was a smart idea to give the sole key card to lost and found for the entire motel to an employee who leaves after their shift. Brilliant idea. Now, I’m back in my car trying to make emergency arrangements for a place to stay tonight. I get on the phone with Agoda as the Manager, Jose, informed me in not so pleasant terms there was nothing he could do
