We have just returned from what was a very special stay at Casa Dodici, in the Bridgit Bardot room. This lovely little boutique hotel is a hidden gem waiting to be explored; from opulent interiors, to beautiful views of the Leonardo da Vinci canal, to staff who go the extra mile to ensure you have an unforgettable stay, this hotel comes highly recommended by myself and my partner. If you would like to dine in, the hotel has a fantastic seafood restaurant on street level, where you can sit outside, sip a glass or two of wine and watch the world go by...perfect! On a final note, the package we booked with the hotel included bike hire for a weeks stay, as well as sun loungers and parasol at one of the local beaches which was great. Have an amazing stay.. Everything was very clean, the owner gave us the access code, and met us a little later. The room was just fine - the bed was comfy, good sized closet area, there was room for our suitcases, a safe, and it was just fine. We walked to the beach for the afternoon - a perfect place to hang out although a lot of loungers! Then did a nice walk along the water in the town area (there's an old boat museum too). We had good breakfast options, and there's free parking.

We stayed here for 4 night. Hotel was excellent, clean and tidy. Staff where always there and greeted you with a smile. The only downside was the doors, the doors close themselves, often banging. I was woken up a number of times in the middle of the night due to other guests doors slamming shut. Hopefully this is something the hotel can address. Would definitely recommend! Hope to come back soon!

Grand Hotel da Vinci Cesenatico Romagna, Adriatic Coast Top Hospitality in Romagna We stayed at the “da Vinci" 3 day during this awful month of May. Obviously, the beach is not attractive at all. Wrong. Chef Marco Laghi is awaiting for at the beach restaurant “ La Spiaggia" with very tasty see dishes. Do not miss the traditional “ seppie con piselli" (octopus with peas) and sea risotto. Every Friday evening is presenting “ Fish Market" A counter full of catches of the day. Very simple deal: you choose. He cooks. You will be eating like a fisherman. What about the outdoor pool located in an Italian designed park, between the sandy beach and the hotel, being the weather very unpleasant for the season? It’s only 16°C. Never mind. Da Vinci is equipped with a large indoor pool with natural light and heated at 28°C. What about breakfast? A large variety of fresh items and fruits of the season. Suggestion: bomboloni all a dream in glass. Old Romagna taste there. Magnificent breakfast room facing the outdoor pool. Old style service is provided. The team made of Romagna breed persons and foreigners all trained in the Batani hotel’s school is head by Carlo. He keeps an eye on all details, making sure that the awaiting time is reduced, even if the request is peculiar, like a rose polpelmus with Sorrento lemon juice served with a straw. No problem Sir. We will make it for you" he said, without looking his temper. Our thanks also to Maria Pia, Olga e Simone. And the rooms? We had the junior suite sea view 172. There are details to improve. For instance, the minifridge is noisy. The shower is a little broken. The pillows are not top. Nevertheless, the da Vinci is an example of top hospitality in Romagna, since over 4 years. Keep the pace and we will came back for sure. Promise. G&B Novelli, Geneva, Switzerland

The problems started as soon as we arrived at reception. Although we had booked our “superior” room a year ago the manager and his assistant seemed surprised to see us. They clearly did not have a room allocated to us and didn't know which room to put us in. After some deliberation we were put on the fourth floor, in the roof, into room 412 which was not properly made up. If it was a “superior” room I would not want to see what the standard ones were like. We were given a piece of paper telling us the wifi code and breakfast times but it did not mention other crucial information. The hotel has lots of facilities but none mentioned to us. I asked about the parking, which TripAdvisor indicates there is and was one of the reasons I picked this hotel. I knew how difficult street parking in Cesenatico can be. The manager told me that there is none. I was then asked if we had a motorcycle, perhaps our crash helmets gave him that idea. He then let me park the bike next to the rubbish bin at the side of the hotel, which was better than nothing. We then went to the room. Rooms on other floors have balconies, on the fourth floor they don't. “Superior”? On the fourth floor they have a washing line extending from the window but with just three pegs that's next to useless. The carpet on the fourth floor corridor was badly stained and didn't look clean. The walk in shower was constrained by the slope of the roof making it difficult to use. I am six foot tall and anyone taller would find it impossible. The water had little pressure and was never really hot. It was not particularly clean with mould and dirt where the wall and floor tiles met. The toilet roll holder was missing its spindle making it useless. The plug in the sink would not seal so it would not fill with water. I ‘fixed’ this by pushing hard on the plug but the mechanism for lifting and lowering it was clearly faulty. The water in the sink was permanently tepid, not ideal when cleaning your teeth. The light had no light shade, leaving the bulb and wires exposed. No bath towels were provided until the second day. We tried using the wifi. Not surprisingly we used the network Hotel Lalla. We couldn't sign in. On going to reception we were then told the network to use was, inexplicably, ‘OrlyPiano3_A’. Of two mobile phones, a tablet and a Kindle only the Kindle ever found this network and the signal was so weak as to be more or less unusable. We went back to the ground floor and found a nice swimming pool and a gym. We never found the “relax and beauty centre”. The next morning we went down to breakfast. We went to go into the dining room on the logical assumption that that's where breakfast would be. Wrong! We were sent next door to the Hotel Orly. Wifi mystery solved and no wonder that we couldn't get a signal. The Hotel Orly had a sign saying check in at the Lalla so they are obviously connected. In the breakfast room the same lackadaisical attitude was shown by the staff

When making travel plans for riding the Pantani Gran Fondo (cycling) in Cesenatico this past August, I came across the Maree Hotel. The location was close to the race start so I decided to bite the bullet and book 8 days. Shortly after booking, I began to worry. Many other hotels in Italy that I’ve stayed at in the past, did not come close to what they appeared to be online. But when I arrived at the hotel, I knew I had made the right decision. The Maree Hotel more than exceeded my expectations. I've stayed at a wide range of hotels throughout my travels including some of the top 5 star hotels in the US. While the Maree Hotel may not have all of the amenities of 5 star property, it now ranks as my all-time favorite! The hotel is family run and is filled with a heavy dose of passion. That’s what makes this place extra special. Everyone goes above and beyond to make your stay an amazing experience. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Irvin who shared details about the hotel and surrounding area. She even made special arrangements to store our road bikes - and setup a place where we could assemble them. Each morning started with an amazing breakfast with a wide variety of food ranging from American traditional (bacon and eggs), to assorted cheeses, cold cuts, breads, yogurt, fruit salads….and pastries to die for. Irvin’s mom Lorena bakes all of the pastries and cakes daily. Her dad, Roberto - brewed killer cappuccinos for us each morning. We ended each day in a similar fashion, enjoying a drink each evening outdoors on the veranda — spending a bit of time chatting with Irvin. The hotel is gorgeous. Both Lorena and Roberto are professional designers: Lorena a graphic designer and Roberto a photographer. Their attention to detail in design shows. From the beautifully designed Maree montage when you enter the hotel to the tasteful images in each room…the interior design is like none other. The hotel is spotless. Even though it is several years old, it looks brand new. The staff meticulously cleans it each day. And not just the rooms! From the entrance glass window panels, to the dining room, staircase and guest rooms - everything is cleaned to perfection. The rooms are just the right size, and have the perfect amenities including air conditioning that works amazingly well, balconies complete with drying racks (which came in really handling for our cycling clothes), to in-room safes. Comfortable beds, linens and pillows - what more could you ask for! Even though our stay was 8 days…I could have stayed much longer. I’d go back in a heartbeat!

We decided to pay a little extra for a hotel right on the beach, and we're delighted with Vista Mare. The hotel is better than the listing photos indicated, and is very new and upmarket. The room was a nice size, with a balcony and good aircon & wifi. But the best thing was the breakfast ! It was outstanding and the best we have ever had in Italy. A large selection and everything was good, with excellent and friendly service. We highly recommend this hotel !

We came to the area to cycle and cycle we did! Every morning after a lovely breakfast buffet, our guide would pick us up and within minutes had us out of the busy area, exploring the beautiful Medieval towns. He was so informative and helpful. After cycling we'd return to the hotel for a superb buffet lunch and shortly after explore on our own in the afternoon. Upon return we would enjoy a lovely drink and some snacks on the front patio before heading in for dinner. The buffets were amazing, with a huge, creative assortment - There was definitely something for everyone. Everyone that works at the hotel is friendly and accommodating and they all go out of their way. We had a fantastic stay.

And by bike it was easy to visit the center of Cesenatico. Rooms were clean & beds were extremely comfy even for persons with back problems and breakfast super good. Very impressed about the super food- section. The swimming pool is also big enough. Highly recommend this hotel.

The staff weren’t so friendly, only the bar man greeted us and asked us how was the stay going. Had to wait long to be able to talk and ask information at the reception. Room was not cleaned very well, dust everywhere and since there is a pandemic, I really think the hotel needs to be cleaned more, from common areas to the room. The food was good, there was free drinks all day at the lobby. There weren’t someone telling people to keep the distance while waiting for the food. I really think the hotel wasn’t organized very well when it comes to corona issue.
