Cambridge
|1.51km from city centerJust an overnight stay but due to the distance from the Corn Exchange we were not planning to return after our mooch around Cambridge during the day. The staff at this hotel were exceptional in their willingness to help us with an early check in avoiding found this at midnight. The restaurant is currently being refurbished but it caused no issue. Staff here were attentive and courteous and food was of the usual great standard. Prices at Premier Inn seem to be at a premium when a well known band is playing but I still consider it good value for money. I personally enjoy knowing exactly what the room will look like and being confident of the cleanliness standards, especially as it’s basically just a stopover.

|2.22km from city centerThe location is 10 minute drive from the train station. The room is clean since we can sense the smell of the disinfectant fluid. They have a restaurant that does not run after 8 pm, but the staff were kind, and we dropped our luggage here after the checkout. Since this is more like a private house, they do not have a lift.

|1.01km from city centerFriendly staff, comfortable room, and a great price for our stay at The Waterman. Overall, a great experience and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. We also ate in the pub for dinner and then at the café for breakfast (included in the price) - both were excellent. Ideal location for visiting the city centre.

|3.25km from city centerRight next to the train station, since we have a lot of luggage, zero-distance check-in is still a good choice. Although there are railway tracks outside the window, the sound insulation is very good and has no effect at all. There is a bus at the entrance of the hotel that can go directly to the center of Cambridge, making travel more convenient. There is a restaurant downstairs in the hotel, there is a costa in the station, and there are no other commercial facilities around. The room is more comfortable and the price is good.

|3.29km from city centerWe have used this Premier Inn on a number of occasions for an overnight stay on a return journey from family in Norfolk. The staff have always been very helpful and accommodating and can always be found if you have any questions or queries. The hotel is very well positioned, just two minutes off the A14. Rooms have always been to a high standard of cleanliness, so we can fully recommend this Premier Inn.

|1.43km from city centerStarting with their location, its quite far from Cambridge Station. From Cambridge Station to hotel: by walk is around 22 mins, by bus is 19-22 mins (£2.80 Adult). From Cambridge City Centre to hotel: by walk is around 27 mins, by bus is 15-19 mins (£1.50 Adult - Elizabeth Way Stop, £1.80 Adult - Newmarket Road stop)
Their sevices are ok, friendly and respectful. But no smile, as in poker face. Cleanliness is on point. Absolutely clean and spotless. Very comfortable. As for amenities, they provide all-in-one wash which is bodywash + shampoo in one container fixed firmly on the wall. No bar soap.

|4.92km from city centerTo be fair to the hotel, everything was clean, the breakfast was a cheap continental type, cereal, toast etc. My son booked the hotel based on it's low price. It rooms did have the appearance of a ”second hand furniture and bedding store”. The staff were pleasant but not easy to get hold of. You could make yourself tea or coffee in the dinning area at anytime. But like most of the reviews it appeared to be more of a hostel than a hotel, and was a definite, clean basic but certainly cheap no frills affair.

|1.06km from city centerCall the landlord half an hour before check-in! He can come over and get the key to open the door, so he doesn't have to wait downstairs! Like a small apartment, the bathroom, laundry room, and dining room are separated. There is milk, juice and butter in the refrigerator, and you can cook your own meals. There are also bread, jam and oatmeal. They are all fresh dates, great! ! !

|2.58km from city centerWe chose this hotel because it was close to Addenbrooks Hospital. Due to the fact that my husband had an early appointment. We were not disappointed in our choice. Cannot rate it high enough. Lovely cosy atmosphere, with very friendly and helpful staff. The food was excellent freshly made pasta which was delicious. Nice room with en suite which was immaculate. Will definitely stay again if the occasion rises. Would strongly recommend.

|3.56km from city centerWe stayed at Holiday Inn for 2 nights between May 30 - June 1 2023. Overall the hotel was great and we had a pleasant stay, we had planned to visit the town center and look at the history of Cambridge thus the location was important to us. It was only a short drive (5 mins) to the centre where we could go punting, shopping and to the universities, museums and gardens. We included breakfast in our stay, which I would highly recommend there was a great selection of foods and the pancake machine was a huge win for us. The only thing we were disappointed with was the fact that dressing robes and waters which are usually complimentary in other hotels we have visited, were not included in the room for free and when we asked we were told we could drink the water from the bathroom, which was not pleasant but other factors such as the fact our room was cleaned regularly and the amazing breakfast did make up for this.

|3.34km from city centerTravelodge wouldn’t have been a bad memory except for TRIP that made it a horrible one for me , I definitely sure this would be my last dealing with them.
Here is my ordeal with Travelodge and TRIP.com, on arriving the hotel I discovered the hotel has no air conditioning and it was terribly hot in London, I immediately notified the hotel of my intention to check out which they agreed to and are willing to give me a refund , unfortunately the TRIP customer service kept going round and round with the situation inorder for them to make me finish my stay at the hotel even with the fact that I complained it wasn’t comfortable, to be honest the hotel did their best to ensure I get my refund but trip messed everything up, there was practically nothing they didn’t do to make sure I didn’t check out even when someone from the hotel spoke with them about their willingness to give me a refund this is the hotel Ass. Manager ( Mrs Gosia) .
I had a very terrible experience with trip and it is definitely going to be my last . I couldn’t sleep most of the night because of the terrible heat at night thanks to trip.

|0.83km from city centerStaff were very helpful on multiple occasions. First, we had to change our booking owing to the heatwave, and while Booking.com failed us in this regard, a quick phone call to Alex, the receptionist, got us all sorted. Secondly, the staff were very generous with provided fans, offering as many as we'd like, and thirdly when we had to use ”Send my Bag.com” to get some suitcases back home, they handled everything on their end perfectly and without charge. The hotel itself has some nice old interior decor, and the continental breakfast was very generous. Location was also a big plus, as it is difficult to find anywhere closer to the old university town. One small gripe would be that the en suite had a few minor spots missed in its cleaning, though the room itself was spotless.

Owner was incredibly friendly and happy to help however he could. Breakfast was continental with pleantly of choice so more than adiquate. Short walk in to town. I'm sure I'll be returning on my next visit! Only complaint was the pillows were a little firm for us: but thats preference!

|11.69km from city centerThe hotel needs to take a train from Cambridge. The train station is behind the hotel. My 14-year-old son has a round-trip ticket for a total of £7. The hotel is very convenient and not noisy! There is a large parking lot and a parking fee of 5 pounds is required! The hotel is very convenient for self-drivers. It is less than ten minutes drive to the Imperial War Museum IWM. Many planes and tanks during World War II and World War II are worth seeing!

|6.13km from city centerThe hotel is a very beautiful manor in the suburbs about 10km from Cambridge. There should be cows and sheep on the grassland in summer. I was attracted by other people's beautiful pictures when I made the reservation. After I checked in, I found it was really good, but I had to drive by myself and check in for free. The room was remodeled from the original dormitory, not quite but adequate, no air conditioning, slightly colder, breakfast quality is good, the environment is first-rate, it is recommended

|3.36km from city centerFirstly, I have to say, some of the reviews here are a poor reflection on what actually is offered. The hotel and gardens itself is stunningly beautiful, and the rooms although small are gorgeously decorated and have most things you would need in them, including a fan. You have to realise this is a very old building, so it will have its charms (for example, not all windows will open in the older part of the house) but overall, the beauty of the rooms outweigh these small details, and the rooms are thoughtful and homely. Alison runs a ”dry venue” so she will make sure everything runs to plan, but really it is up to you to make sure the day runs as it should. They don't have facility to offer you a bar/restaurant - however what they do offer is very well executed. They are pretty hands off, which is fine, I just asked permission for what I needed, briefed everyone thoroughly and the day went without a hitch. I personally couldn't have been happier. Check-in is from 1500 which is stated when you book the room, which for the majority of people who came to our wedding was fine, it is contactless, no issue there as far as I'm concerned. The bridal suite isn't available until 11am - which in my case was fine. I paid for another room in which to get ready and leave my dress etc the day before which saved a scramble on the day. It was only up the corridor from the bridal suite and I only took what I needed. The caterer RF recommend - CDC are absolutely flawless, and our food and drinks service was absolutely outstanding. Sam who was put in charge of running our day, and Ellena who looked after us in the lead up were absolutely fantastic. The food was tasty, hot, and plentiful, we opted for buffet style and I can't find a single guest who had anything negative to say about the entire day. I hired a company to decorate and pack down my marquee the next day - and someone to deliver my wine (a man in a van) which was a godsend as again, no faff! Without the help of these companies you would end up doing it yourself, and in the terms of the contract you do have to vacate the marquee by 10am so do bear this in mind. I think considering my wedding isn't the only one this year (shocking, I know) that was absolutely fair enough, and these times were easily achievable by my team. CDC cleared everything to the side - bless them, and Roger locked the marquee overnight so everything was easily packed into our car the next day and safe. Breakfast did change in the time between booking and getting married, but the English charm of the self boiled eggs, the portmerion dishes and the little pots of tea and toast was adorable and not far away from what I would have wanted had I been at home. Her staff (I'm so sorry I can't recall names) were friendly, polite and the lady doing breakfast was a total sweetheart. If you did fancy a fry up, coton orchards is a minute alway, but quite honestly what was on offer was perfect for us and our small group (we had

|2.79km from city centerTo the west of Cambridge University, the environment is very quiet, next to a newly developed high-end residential area in Cambridge. |1.41km from city centerService: The receptionist (probably the boss) is very enthusiastic and has a great attitude. He then keeps asking if you have any dissatisfaction and you can chat with him.
Facilities: The room should be converted from a residential house, with only a few guest rooms. The parking space can only park two cars at the door of the room. There seems to be a parking lot (borrowed from another house); the room facilities are OK, British family style
Hygiene: Hygiene is okay, I didn’t see anything bad.
Environment: A bit far from the city
All in all, the price/performance ratio is average. If you want to experience the local people’s hospitality, you can stay here. Parking is also convenient.

|1.13km from city centerA bit fussy. Hotel open only on weekends, 17 rooms total. Victorian house on a busy road, but there was no road noise. Park behind the hotel. Can leave the car in their car park after you check out. Wi-Fi works near the reception and in the basement breakfast room, but not in the guest rooms. Relatively costly. Some rooms are accessed by entering the front door, going down to the basement, and up again. Tip: you can exit through the back door to the parking lot but cannot come back the same way. Still if someone holds the door open for you, it is the easiest way to get luggage from the car to the hotel. This was not mentioned at check-in, and we carried our bags up and down many stairs! Good sized rooms, tasty full English breakfast, also some yogurt and fruits. When I tried to lift the sash window, it came out in my hands. Fortunately, I didn’t drop it on my foot. About 15 mins walk to the town, either along the main road or along the river.

|0.23km from city centerThe facilities are relatively new, and the sanitation is good. The location is relatively close to Cambridge University, but a bit far from the train station. No breakfast. The window can't be opened, it's a little stuffy, I want to change to a room with an open window with the front desk, the front desk said that we booked on another platform, not on the Hilton platform, so we can't change. If you want to change, you need to add 50 pounds. The windows are slanted, so the curtains can't be close to the windows, and they don't block the light. The whole room is bright early in the morning, and it's impossible to sleep late. This is a big disadvantage. There is also an unreasonable design of the bathroom, which will make the ground full of water. A deposit of 50 pounds is required for check-in. There are stalls selling Cambridge cruise tickets when you come out of Cambridge Railway Station. Don’t be fooled, the price is more than double the price bought on the spot. Be sure to go directly to the venue to buy tickets.

|1.27km from city centerThe room is clean and tidy when we checked in, they use white company shower products and also provide bedroom slippers which is great for hygiene.
We did experience some poor customer service experience as we arrived around midnight and there’s no service staffs at the front desks and we had to knock on the glass door to seek attention. Then the reception staffs got confused with the room booking and assigned two same rooms to us. Then they asked us to insert card and pay again for the prepay hotel. I had to clarify and then also informed them about the breakfasts for next two days had been paid. On the next day they asked again and on our last day they still didn’t have our records about the breakfasts again and all the staffs did was to blame that it’s systems glitch. Even on our last day they still said there’s no records of breakfasts paid.
Overall the room quality is pretty good, the cleaning of the room could be better as we still see hair on the bed after it was cleaned on the 2nd night. There’s also some issue with the bathroom door for one of our rooms, and the staffs fixed that timely. It’s mainly the front service staffs that were not very professional and seems like they haven’t been updating the systems records well or getting the systems fixed so that all these could be prevented.
