I stayed in the apartment next to the hotel for 5 years. I have never stayed here. I have booked this trip here. The hotel is very good and has a free hot spring. The price of the vending machine in the hotel corridor is higher than the outside.

I'm really satisfied with this article It's really just two stops by bus from Kitakyushu Airport. Scenic view in front of the hotel. Just 5 minutes walk to the convenience store. And most of all, the room is really big and big Above all, it is clean. Clean bathroom and clean bedding Between the holes coming out of the heaters, it's usually piled up in hotels or dust in the bathroom vents. And the water pressure was good On the downside, Don Quixote has to go out for about 20 minutes by bus. Park in front of the hotel is also right in front of Very satisfied Highly recommend

There are no people and it is small. Easy to walk around as there are major tourist spots nearby. Close to Kokura Station and Don Quijote. Around 15 minutes. There are more shower booths than expected. It's ironic that there are men's shower rooms and toilets next to women's rooms. The women's shower room and toilet are separate from the women's room. But it doesn't matter much because it's close, but it just didn't match the movement. It is cold because the air conditioner is running 24 hours. The bed is covered with wood, making it a private room. It was comfortable because there was no need to face other people. Pillow covers and sheets are taken with you when you leave, so they look clean, but you don't know when to clean pillows and futon linings.

We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights. Kokura is a excellent location to stay if you plan to visit Yamaguchi, Kawachi-fujien etc. The hotel is located in a shopping street with loads of restaurant and drug/cosmetics store. There is a super market and department stores nearby (about 100m from the hotel). The room size is small, same as most Japanese budget hotel. The bed size is 150 cm for single or double room. The hotel only has 1 public bath (with different allot time for women and men), so it may be crowded. The hotel provide free breakfast and they change menu everyday during our 3 night stay! We love this hotel as it is very cost-effective and the service and location are really good. Note that the parking space is approximately 300 m away from the hotel.

This hotel is small and refined. Very clean, the waiter will point to English, simple English plus text plus body language, communication is no problem. Breakfast is buffet, the child likes curry sauce bibimbap, there are not many patterns, but it is very clean, enough to eat enough nutrition is no problem.

Art Hotel New Tagawa impressed me with its 100-year-old garden and fantastic services. My first stay was 5 years ago and I like New Tagawa so much that I keep asking my wife (who is acting as my Japanese interface) to book it almost every time we are in Kokura. The last time we stayed there was in May-June this year for about one month. Facilities were closed due to COVID-19 when we arrived but they reopened during our stay, not entirely though. We had the beautifully maintained garden for ourselves, sharing it only with a cat. The staff was as friendly as ever. Five years ago, while staying in this hotel with my wife and my parents, I made a friend among the staff, who is still on my Facebook friend list. Everyone in this hotel is so welcoming and friendly, in a unique way even for Japanese standards. One thing I enjoyed in the past but not on my latest visit (due to COVID) was the weddings which I could see while having lunch in the restaurant or while having a dessert and/or drink in the hotel’s cafeteria. The food is also great and the single tip I could offer is to select the Japanese breakfast rather than the western one and to try the sake (hot or cold) at dinner time instead of the wine. I hope the hotel will be able to keep the high-quality standards it has because I wish to return many times.

Room 1013 has a large, maybe almost king bed and a view north, towards the station, one of the few rooms along the sides of the building that is not looking at the wall of a neighboring building. The room is well- designed overall, and the total area is larger than most. The desk and bathroom counters have a lot more space than usual. The desk light is very useful. There’s a massage chair with a table that’s the right height for putting a drink or snack on while you watch the TV from the chair. The internet was fast for the entire visit. The window kips open, the Aircon works well and has an intuitive control panel. The one aspect that is not well- designed is the bathroom lighting. There is a single down- spotlight in the sink area, so there are dark shadows on your face when trying to shave – a pox on the designer! I can imagine it’s even worse for make- up. The bed is very comfortable, and the room is quiet. Daiwa Roynet hotels always have very good bedding, and this is no exception. There is a small nook near the headboard with a shelp for phone and a mains plug for charger. There is a good reading light as well. Apart from the lighting at the sink, the bathroom is great. It’s large, modern and has a glass wall with a glass door separating the tub / shower room from the rest. The tub is separate from the shower, like in Japanese homes. There is a nice shower wand and a rain shower. The tub and the shower armatures are thermostat- controlled, so there are no fluctuations in temperature, and it arrives at a stable temperature very quickly. The TV has English and other languages available and includes some useful things like the status of the breakfast area – it even shows the status of the individual washing machine / dryers. No wasted trips to another floor, in other words. Love it. Breakfast is on 1F in the Salvatore Cuomo Italian restaurant. It’s a nice buffet, with Japanese and western items, and some small squares of Margherita pizza, very tasty. The breads for toasting are excellent – with real butter - and all the food items were very good.

A reception hall in Kitakyushu that combines European elegance with the tranquility of a 100-year-old Japanese garden.Kokura has long been a focal point for transit, to the point that it is said that all the roads of Kyushu run through Kokura. JR Kokura Station, the gateway to the Kokurakita Ward in Kitakyushu, is a connecting station for the Shinkansen, the Kagoshima Main Line and the Nippo Main Line, and is also traversed by the monorail, truly making it the transport hub for the island of Kyushu. We have everything from convention facilities for exhibitions, meetings and more, to the greenery of Katsuyama Park and Murasaki River in the environs of Kokura Castle. With a literature museum and a memorial museum for the Kokura-born Akutagawa Prize-winning author Seicho Matsumoto, the town is also pervaded by a scholarly atmosphere. Our hotel is located in the bustling business district of Kokurakita Ward, while remaining a peaceful spot for you to feel the passage of time. It was originally built as the reception hall of a coal baron, and the 130-year-old Japanese garden looks as beautiful today as it ever did. The hotel is located about 8 minutes on foot from the south exit of JR Kokura Station, and about 2 minute on foot from the Kitakyushu Monorail Tanga Station. At 40 minutes by car from Kitakyushu Airport, it has easy access from Honshu (main island), and is a convenient hub, whether your are visiting for business or sightseeing.Just a short distance from Mojiko Retro District, the representative tourist spots of Kyushu. Connecting Kyushu with Honshu, the 1,068-meter Kanmon Suspension Bridge is definitely worth seeing. The site of the famous duel of the swordsmen Miyamoto Musashi and Sasaki Kojiro, Ganryu Island, is easily accessible, with its man-made beach that is particularly attractive. With our hotel as a base, why not explore the rich culture and history of the region?

The hotel is very close to the Shinkansen and JR Kokura Station, and it takes only 5 minutes to walk. In fact, it is closer to the Shinkansen exit, which is at the quiet north exit. Breakfast is free. It is relatively rich and you can eat fruit. This is rare in Japan. The hotel also provides some free services, such as bicycles and footrests, which has brought me convenience. The only drawback is that the air conditioning heating or cold air cannot be set by itself. The first night was hot and woke up, and the second night opened the window and slept. Here in Ogura, it is convenient to see the night view of Naksan, Japan ’s new three scenic spots. It is more convenient to visit the closed area. You can also take the Hello Kitty Shinkansen train to have a chance to play.

The location is good because it is directly connected to the station, and there is no inconvenience because there is a convenience store nearby. However, the sofa in the room was not repaired with the cover torn and the inside visible. The shelves on the wash basin haven't been installed properly, and they're still slanted and are likely to come off at any moment. The smell of the room was also slightly musty and subtle. I asked a friend that it was a good hotel with a high prestige and stayed there, but when I saw that I chose a luxury room with a slightly higher grade, but it was not properly reworked, I am very disappointed that the management is very difficult. I felt like it. The interior of the room and the curtains are still old, so I thought it would be better to renew. I'm sorry for the harsh opinion.

I recommend the ocean view deluxe twin room because it is spacious and has a lovely view of the Kanmon Strait. You can check my pictures to see what I mean. My wife and I stayed 3 times during the summer and made trips to Kalato (Grand Hotel) and Shimonoseki, where we stayed in Hotel Washington (average Business Hotel) and other places. But there’s a lot to see in Mojiko without crossing the Kanmon Strait or taking the train. Premier Hotel is very well placed: near the former Moji Mitsui Club where Einstein stayed 100 years ago, near several Museums, etc. being just a few hundred meters away from the railway station, which is very convenient. The hotel staff is extremely polite and helpful. The steak restaurant was closed during all our stays and the only other option for lunch was pasta. Same for dinner every evening. Lunch was available only on weekends. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and HaloDay supermarket at 10 minutes walking distance, Lawson and Family Mart even closer. Breakfast was interesting. Both my wife and I didn’t like the Japanese set but we liked the western one. An outstanding feature is the free flow of sparkling wine during breakfast (along with natural juices, coffee, and tea). During our last stay, they opened a real breakfast buffet with much better Japanese food in another part of the building with a less nice environment. We liked this hotel very much and that is why we came back so often and stayed more than a month summed up. The experience would have been better without the work and the stress during this Covid-19 pandemic. If you ever stay in this hotel, try to get a room on floor 6. Weddings are held there and you have a chance to see the church and some weddings on that floor.

Ideal location unless you hate shopping: it is basically inside and on top of a mall, itself on top of a train station, facing a massive late night department store (on the ground floor of which you can find a whole section of loo covers and such featuring Totoro and other studio Ghibli characters) a maze of shopping arcades leading to another massive two tiered department store. The hotel itself is bright and sparkly at the reception level, the restaurant actually very good, the grill bar served much better food than in the previous JR hotel I stayed at. What does let it down though is the rooms are a bit dated (the view onto the monorail is stunning though) and the check in experience was not quite as expected: basically I was ignored for 10 minutes by one guy (who proceeded to check in two guys who came in after me) until I was finally noticed and served by someone else. Not sure if it is because I was a lone female (might have assumed I was a companion to the males present) or whether he wished to avoid checking in someone who might not speak Japanese. Either way, something to sort out given that the rugby World Cup is about to turn up in Kokura as the Welsh flags adorning the station infer and I assume some women might turn up. The rest of the staff turned out to be of the usual helpful and charming kind you find in Japan. Note to rugby supporters: Kokura is a ‘clean’ town and you basically cannot smoke in the streets or be drunk and disorderly. The hotel does however offer smoking bedrooms, so book those if you are a smoker, or you will have to cram yourself in the tiny smoking booth on the 7th floor.
