|10.08km from city centerThe renovations are really nice. The room was great except for the pillows. I found the pillows uncomfortable. I have arthritis and the pillows are extra puffed up forcing my neck and head up so far that I couldn’t tolerate the pain. I ended up using the bath towels as a pillow to keep my neck/head in a normal position to be able to sleep. Everything else was great including the shuttle service from an to the airport.

Nice having a full-size kitchen. If you think you see two little girls walking down the hallway holding hands and a little boy riding a big big wheel, don’t worry it’s just your imagination! Surprise no complementary coffee or coffee maker in room. Only place to get coffee is lobby and they charge. Kind of a bummer fora hotel in this day and age, especially for the cost.

|1.54km from city centerAs far as hotels go… a unique concept. Some positives, some negatives, of which one – hotel management’s inadequate response to a significant problem – caused me and my wife to checkout after two nights of what was supposed to be a four-night stay. Our room was a junior suite on the top floor and was good-sized and had nice furnishings. We thought the food and service in the restaurants and bar were good (thumbs-up to Kate), the valets and bell staff hustled, and there is interesting artwork on some of the floors. All good things. On the downside: A few days prior to check-in we received an email offering us an early check-in for an extra $25. Not needing early check-in, we arrived at the posted 3pm check-in time. Our room wasn’t ready for another 35-40 minutes. Certainly a mixed message. The front desk staff are definitely hit-or-miss in terms of friendliness. There was no fan in the bathroom to help manage steam from the shower. The bathroom window is opaque but has no shade. As a result, at night, light from the highway adjacent to the hotel comes into the bathroom and continues into the sleeping area through the opaque glass shower wall. While the glass shower wall is opaque, it makes the shower far from private. Not a problem for us, but others might disagree. Also, the freight trains that run on the double tracks immediately adjacent to the hotel are noisy. I don’t want to have to wear a mask and earplugs to get a good night’s sleep in what is supposed to be a luxury hotel. Why the horrible rating and not just a mediocre one? Shortly after 8:00pm on our second night we smelled smoke in our sixth-floor room. Because the smell grew worse, at 8:45 I called the front desk. The person I spoke with explained that on nights when there is no breeze, smoke from the restaurant's “hearth” will drift up the side of the building and into the room. They had a ready explanation. In other words, they knew the smoke could be a problem but have done nothing about it. At 10:30pm I called again and asked to speak to the manager on duty. Unfortunately, the only manager in the building works in food and beverage and isn't that well versed in other aspects of managing the hotel. Regardless, I asked her to come to the room so she could establish for herself that I wasn't exaggerating about the eye-stinging, headache-causing smoky air. She and the restaurant's banquet manager did come upstairs and did acknowledge that the smoke was a problem. For a number of reasons - some the hotel’s, some ours - changing rooms at that hour wasn't a viable option. We were assured by the manager we were speaking with that she would write a detailed email for the hotel manager coming in the next day and that that manager would call us “first the in the morning.” I’m writing this review four mornings later. We are still waiting for that call.

|0.75km from city centerI went to Milwaukee for a day & chose to stay at the SpringHill Suites in Milwaukee near the fiserv forum. Few things to bring to your attention. When we checked in, at 11 pm, the staff was incredibly rude. She did not great us, and appeared high off of drugs. All she said to us was “ ID”…”Your card not working that’s on file” and then when given another payment.. “I can’t take your card” & pointed to the card machine. Did not acknowledge what room, the card issue & had a terrible attitude which was a red flag in itself. When we got to the room, the floor was OBVIOUSLY not vacuumed or cleaned. There were pieces of food under the night stand & clear beads from a clothing packet all over the carpet. Bathroom tiles had hair on them. For that reason, I kept my shoes on because it felt so unsanitary. You may ask why I didnt call the front desk, well because I already knew your employee would not care & give me even more of an attitude. Would recommend you go else where, no matter what the other reviews say. Worst service ever. Not clean.

|8.75km from city centerFantastic service and impressive desk support! We came in at 1:30 am and picked this airport because they have an airport shuttle. The manager at the desk told us that the shuttle stops at midnight but he would get us an Uber - cost covered by the hotel. He did and followed up with a phone call to me to let me know when it would arrive. As I tracked it the Uber app indicated that no Ubers were available so he called again and got us another, gave us the license mad name of person and time. He checked it all out and followed up. All free to us. When we got To the hotel he went above and beyond to give us a nice room and treat us with respect, even though it was after 2 am by now. They were so nice, and the rooms were very clean and comfy, that my 11 year old wanted to stay there more nights just because the staff were so great. Shout out to whoever the night manager was that evening!! We had to fly in for a very sad event and your support and ease of treatment us made it a little more tolerable.

Looks like only queen rooms have bath tubs. Be sure to request the nice soft bathrobe (with slippers and lavender oil) Nice bar and lobby area. Easy walk to Art Museum (don’t miss this amazing place), Public Market, Riverwalk, and really just a short 1.2 miles walk to the Buck game.

|9.14km from city centerWhen I get to the front desk the lady was talking to I guess the security he had a yellow vest and a yellow light on his truck🤷🏾♀️ But that Wasn’t the problem her attitude was it was horrible but I ignored it and was still polite got my room and when I pull in to park a girl run outside to make sure her door was locked (sketchy) but I ignore it go to my room and it a board in the sliding door to keep it locked I suppose cuz the door doesn’t lock chicken bones under the couch sheets blankets and towels all dingy door hard to open furniture in the hall way….. I guess they Renovating the hotel, they should closed it till it’s done…. And oh yea I couldn’t sleep cuz my neighbors was outside by the sliding door all night with a crying baby….

I waited for 40 minutes to see the shuttle bus of the hotel, called the hotel, and finally asked me to find another company's car at the airport. I took more than an hour to get on the hotel car.

A nice inside pool. Wide parking. The hotel is nearby the airport, of cource, but also several restaurants around. Unlike many hotels that use covid as an excuse not to provide service (and rase prices), this hotel offers daily room cleaning.

I switched from Hilton to IHG a few years back and never turned back. This hotel was very clean but that was no surprise as I have yet to stay at a Holiday Inn that wasn’t. The breakfast was hot and fresh and exactly what we needed to get the day rolling. Thanks again to the staff here for all their hard work and for making my family comfortable. You guys ROCK!!!

|9.73km from city centerIt’s ok. You can stay here. I almost considered canceling the reservation after reading reviews saying the hotel was filthy, but it’s fine. To give you a sense of how I think when I evaluate hotels on trip advisor, I have stayed in some really fancy hotels, such as the Sheraton Kauai resort; I was in the Rixos Astana at the same time the president of South Korea was staying there; I stayed in the ITC Maurya in New Delhi, where American presidents like to stay. I’ve also stayed in plenty of Quality Inns, Roadway Inns, and Econolodges. You have to judge a hotel by what you pay for it. This Best Western was very inexpensive, and it was a great place given that. I’m thinking some of the complaints about cleanliness comes from the fact that the floor by reception has chips (which can look like dirt) and the grout in the bathroom tile has become discolored in a few places. That happens to old grout, and the bathrooms should probably be re-grouted ( I had to do that to my floors at home). The room initially had a dusty smell, but that cleared up after running the a/c for like 3 minutes. Look, dusty smells are common in hotel rooms where the ventilation hasn’t been turned on yet. This place has its positives. The staff is insanely friendly. I wish I knew the name of the lady who checked me in, she was so bubbling with friendliness I would like to compliment here to the management. The cleaning staff was still working when I was looking for the ice maker and simply saw I was looking and volunteered directions to the ice machine. And so forth, regarding friendliness. All in all, I was perfectly content here for the price. It’s simply not fair to expect the same at a Best Western as a Sheraton, Hilton, or Rixos hotel. It is fair to compare it to other hotels in the price range, and it is a winner in that category.

We chose this hotel for its location in proximity to our dinner reservation and the attractions we had planned. There were several negative reviews for this hotel regarding check in, cleanliness, and parking, I'd like to share my feedback to ensure travelers do not deter from staying at this hotel for those reasons. Upon arrival we were promptly greeted by a friendly front desk staff and were able to check in promptly at 4pm. We were able to conveniently park in their side lot while we brought our belongings up to our room. The room was extremely spacious and had beautiful upgrades and convenient amenities such as a full kitchen. The high ceilings really made this room unique. Everything in the room was very clean. There is a parking garage directly across from the hotel which was easy to access and only cost $22.00 a night to park. When staying in downtown MKE it is to be expected that you will pay for parking, and knowing our car was in a covered garage was peace of mind. We choose to Uber to our destinations, so we didn't have to find parking multiple times, and we never had to wait more than a few minutes for our ride to arrive. My only disappointment was there was no happy hour. I was under the impression there was a cocktail hour offered, but it didn't take away from our stay, as there were several liquor stores within walking distance to grab a drink for the room while we got ready. Breakfast in the morning was plentiful with options, fresh, hot, and the egg bites were delicious. The last thing I will add which is huge for me, they have complimentary water, hot water for tea, and coffee in the lobby at all times. I hate forgetting to bring a water bottle for the middle of the night when staying at a hotel, so I loved this feature. I would absolutely stay at this hotel again in the future! Don't let the negative reviews sway your decision. This was a beautiful, newly converted hotel that you should absolutely check out next time you are staying in the area.

|11.34km from city centerI’m on the fence about this review. When I checked in, the staff was friendly but didn’t explain anything, didn’t mention breakfast or any amenities, just checked me in. I had to ask what room I was in.. She didn’t tell me the cost just asked for my credit card, it wasn’t until my card company texted me about the charge did I realize I was charged more than what I booked the room for. I checked my reservation and I was charged $25 more. When I went back to ask another clerk, she explained there’s a $25 incidental charge that will drop off after check out. Oh ok, no big deal but the first gal didn’t mention it at all. When I booked the room, under special requests, I asked for a quiet room as we are traveling with a 9 month old, I’m in the room directly connected to the pool area, not exactly the quietist room, especially since I reserved the room weeks ago. Also, the room is very bright from the parking lot lights, even with both the shades drawn, I’m hoping the baby isn’t up all night because I can clearly see all the way across the room and it’s 10pm. The last thing is when the air conditioner turns on it blows directly onto the bed. Like I said, I am on the fence. I have no complaints about the condition or cleanliness of the hotel, seems very nice, and the staff gave a great recommendation for dinner. There are just a few small things that when added together could make for a rough night.

I of course saw a spot here or there that could use a touch up of paint or something but the property was clean across the board. The desk staff were welcoming, asked what I needed and delivered. I didn’t catch the housekeeper’s name on the third floor but her laugh was contagious and she was nice as she could be. I had my concerns about an airport property, but they delivered a great stay! |0.07km from city centerWhat am amazing hotel. From the moment we walked into the gorgeous lobby, I said WOW. The staff greet you at the front, in the lobby and again at the desk. I was given the choice of the older more historic area or the tower. I chose the tower because I prefer a more modern room. The room was larger and nicer than I expected. And the view toward the lake is spectacular. I had lunch at the cafe, met with friends at the lobby bar, and a fantastic dinner at the upscale restaurant. We felt well taken care of at the conference. The set-up worked well. I so appreciate a conference where it’s easy to return to your room during sessions. I’ve stayed at more expensive hotels that weren’t as nice. Glad I added on a few extra days to enjoy Milwaukee, including being able to walk to the lake, the river walk, and many other fun sites and restaurants.

It is so nice to feel like you're being cared for by professionals who are also real people capable of laughter and conversation. The rooms are clean and well cared for, and the beds are so very comfortable! The convenience of the kitchenette in the room is always nice, although I very much recommend eating at least one meal at the Cafe which is superb in both food and service.
