The situation of the hotel is perfect to discover the city. If you are by car you can park it by the hotel (10€ a day) and discover the city by foot. However, the booking site is kinda chaotic and it’s not clear if breakfast is included…this should be changed by the hotel management make sure to make your reservation for the Galileo building. This part of the hotel is more modern and the rooms are clean and nice to stay in (at this rate). The staff is formal and will give you all the information you need but don’t expect warmed by them…theeceremonie there to do there job. The breakfast is oke but needs an upgrade to give you a really holiday feeling. Use the hotel as a place to enjoy the night (keep in mind that you are close to a basilica so the bells will toll 😃) and a perfect situation to enjoy one of the most beautiful city’s in the world.

The hotel is fine although some defects may be observed in it. Its situation is excellent. It lies in a quiet street with hardly any traffic in the center of the city of Padua, therefore at a few steps from the most interesting monuments of that city particularly Sta. Justina church and the church of St. Anthony. The bedroom I was allocated as a whole isn’t in fact very comfortable. It’s too narrow and nowhere in the room there are any sockets at sight into which for example the mobile phone could be plugged for recharging the battery. The only socket available was that in which the TV set was plugged. It’s located at a low level behind the desk so that the latter must be shifted in order to use the mentioned socket, what, given the weight of the desk, implies a considerable effort, the more so if the small size of the room is taken into account. It was therefore rather hard to ascertain the existence of other sockets by the aforesaid one. Besides, there was no table lamp on the desk. Therefore it could just be used at daytime for writing or reading unless one wished to take the risk of getting a hard headache. Apart from those nuisances it must be admitted that the bed was comfortable, the mattress having the perfect hardness to assure a good sleep. That room was, by the way, very peaceful, what no doubt is also essential for sleeping in the best possible conditions. In accordance with what I requested, it’s located at the end of a corridor so that one hardly hears any voices or other noise made by people walking towards their respective bedrooms. The bathroom is also quite proper for the functions one may expect of it. The staff members are kind especially a Brazilian bloke who was working at the front desk upon my arrival. He was very kind and diligent, and even helped me to park the car on the right place and he himself unloaded my baggage off my car luggage rack. The gentleman working at the breakfast room at breakfast time was also helpful. The breakfast was good. There was everything needed in the buffet to eat the sufficient quantity of food so as not to feel hungry until dinner time. Everything there was of a high quality particularly the fruits which were very fresh and savoury as well as the pastry; the croissants for instance being tasty and crunchy on the outside but soft in the middle. The orange juice was also very good. By and large therefore, it’s a hotel where one may have a good stay as long as he doesn’t need any sockets in the bedroom. If it were not the case it would then be advisable to consider carefully aqny possible booking in the hotel concerned before actually proceed in that sense.

Best Westerns can be truly variable in quality. This was pretty good. We had an ”apartment” in the annex and it was big enough, in good shape, nice bathroom and most of all, no problems. Everything worked. They provided free parking. For the rate, it was a good value. We stayed in The Patavium the previous 2 nights in Padua. It is a small boutigue hotel with warm, excellent service and lovely rooms, slightly old fashioned, semi-elegant with a very good breakfast. We would have stayed there instead of coming here, but they had no occupancy and so we had to go. If what you want is inexpensive, modern, perfectly accepatble, but charmless and antiseptic hotels, this is the place for you. I'm a little older now and prefer the somewhat more expensive Patavium for a more enjoyable stay. If a Patavium quality hotel wasn't located in Padua, I would have no problem staying here, as a cheap, sure thing works when there is no better alternative or when the alternative is outrageously more expensive. Take what suits you best.

The room is clean and comfortable with good price. Breakfast is located on 7th floor (rooftop) so that we can see Padova from top with The Alps as background. in the night of nighttime, cleaning officer who started to knock at the door of the room from 9 a.m. waking us and an hour later allowed you to enter the room despite our check-out at 12.00 and our stay was of a Only night. At the reception Elena supposedly tells us that we should have put the card “Don't disturb.” For one night? We are sure that it is really only our fault and not a low service that instead of training cleaning staff as you can do in a 4-star hotel, it is only giving them who is pass all over and gives the free way to enter all the Rooms at any time? I don't think this is the type of service that suits a structure of this level. Furthermore, on Booking the description of the room was said with city view, I add the photo of the “panorama” and tell me what you think about it! - That's bad!

This is our second stay at the Garibaldi Hotel, and we definitely plan on going back to it if and when we might travel to the area. The staff is very accommodating, breakfast is wonderful, and it's also conveniently close to the train stop (about a 10 minute walk), which makes trips to any destination (Verona, Milan, Venice, Trieste, etc..) an extremely easy task. On top of everything, prices are more than reasonable, considering that a double with breakfast was roughly $60 a night. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Venice (a 20 minute train ride, at the incredible cost of $5 each way) or any other place in the area given its proximity to the railway.

There is nothing special about this hotel, particularly for such a fascinating city as Padua. Nevertheless, the rooms are clean and spacious, and they have a private balcony. Bring up a bottle of wine and enjoy it ”al fresco” in the privacy of your own room. Though breakfast is included, it's nothing special, and you are better off wandering outside until you hit one of the many local bars. The location, however, is very good. While the street itself is nothing to brag about, it's steps away from the must-see site of the Scrovegni Chapel (painted by Giotto), and minutes from all the other major sites in the city.

We booked this hotel at the very last minute. Because of the flooding in Venice at the time of our visit to Italy, we decided that it would be preferable to visit somewhere else. We chose this hotel because of it being reasonably centrally located i.e. possible to walk into the town centre, also having parking facilities. We had booked quite an expensive hotel in Venice and this hotel was significantly cheaper. Whilst not I would say luxury, the hotel was great. Staff were friendly and attentive. The room was not vast, however, entirely comfortable and nicely decorated. The ensuite contained bath and shower and came with all of the usual ”additions” including shoe shine, vanity set etc. Storage in the room was fine. Broadband good. Minibar provided but no tea or coffee facilities. Breakfast was OK - no complaints - better to ask for coffee than to rely on the self-use machine. The restaurant/bar did not appear to be particuarly open during the vening, however, a wet November may not be peak season. All in all - no complaints - having not had the intent to visit Padova until Venice flooded, we found it to be an interesting, pretty city and well worth a visit.

Look, it's not the Sheraton but you'd be lucky to find better at the price. The rooms are uncluttered with nothing that you don't need. Clean and serviced daily.
