Close to the Airport(about 20 minutes in Cairo traffic) I decided to spend my time between flights there as the hotel on floor level -1 is attached to the mall. I can understand why the hotel does operate its own restaurant given the choices of eateries in City Stars. There is a kitchenette should one decide to do self-catering. Frig works very well but it is not a mini-bar (which is ideal for me). This is a four star hotel with limited facilities but, again, the mall is next door to it. Rooms are sufficiently spacious, bed is comfortable and the ac and thick drapes helps you beat the heat. Outside the hotel there is nothing. No notable views. Some pharmacies and mini-marts and some cheap eateries for koshari or grills can be had. Maybe worth sampling next time. Front desk staff is helpful and accommodating. I certainly would be willing to stay again.FromUS$108.00

This is a review of the roof top restaurant/cafe of the hotel, not the hotel itself. The new place is redecorated and looks more fresh, lively and more organized. I was invited by a friend and we ordered two different Indian dishes and both tasted yummy, the service was nice and the whole place was much cleaner than 2 years ago when i last visited them. They serve different type of food and drinks along with sheesha for smokers. The place has giant Tv screens which great for gatherings if you want to watch a match or so. FromUS$40.00

There are different styles of restaurants on the hillside in the hotel courtyard. You need to walk or take a free car to go. It is very interesting and tastes good, especially the grilled fish in seafood restaurants. recommend! The hotel's overall service is good, the front desk understands English, you can consult wherever you want to play, or you can call a car. A bit far from the city center. I stayed at Guard Hotel, Cairo for 7 days in June 2019 and I enjoyed each and every single day. The rooms were clean, well maintained, the food was sumptuous, tasty and the pool looked very clean. The hotel is near the airport but that did not disrupt my stay. I loved every single moment especially Mr Ashraf who was invaluable and all the people who work at the front desk. Stayed here during the busy month of December. We thought it would be warm when we saw the weather forecast but it was windy so if planning going in winter season take cardigan or light jacket you’ll need it. Location is excellent right in the market and busy area, where you’ll experience wild life of Cairo. Plenty of restaurant and fast food near by, Largest mall in Cairo is 10 min drive. Use Uber not their taxi, open a vodaphone sim with data, with 4g or 8g and unlimited calls which cost less than £10 Lasted me two weeks. Hotel is well designed and new, still developing Security is excellent, from front entrance you’ll be asked for id, well guarded if you like security. Staff are excellent always willing to help you. They have massive party or wedding hall at ground floor, their was wedding every day, So does get loud till about midnight if traveling with family bear in mind. If you enjoy part then they welcome you. I Enjoyed very much. Took the supreme pool view room Room was big with comfortable kingside bed, come with living room and dining table and sofa if you wanna relax from busy day or have friends over. Bathroom is Morden design and space. Hotel Has big Swim pool but never had time to try. Sauna and gym are nice. Breakfast is free but it’s limited and poor food, they don’t have much variety. I went during the busiest and expensive season, stayed for two weeks, this was the cheapest and but turned out to be excellent. They was a new year party where’s they had celebrity singers come and hotel was over packed and crazy. Good experience. If your looking for a decent and cheap hotel then don’t hold back. The big bed room also presented welcome fruits and desserts. Masks and disposable disinfectants are provided in the room. Many hotel staff still don't wear masks...There is no way to respect the choices of people of all countries. The Bar by the pool is open late, and you can eat there when you arrive late. Breakfast is also at B1, optional, probably because there are fewer options for the epidemic. Check-in and check-out are relatively fast. If you discuss with the hotel, you can check out until 2 pm. The hotel has a shuttle bus to the airport. The service industry trained by the British in history is still quite good.

The hotel location is good, and it is convenient to walk to the museum (although you have to be careful when crossing the road). Highlights Buffet - Amazing spread which changes everyday. BUT, they need to label their food products carefully - Stuffed artichoke should ideally read Stuffed Artichoke with beef - Hindus will not easily understand. Also, they can have different ladles for beef and chicken sausages. Its an international hotel - so just saying they need to display their sensitivity. The ladies who serve tea/ coffee need to be told that people drink hot coffee/ tea. Twice me and my sister had to return the pots as it was lukewarm! Room - Carpet jaded. For a 5 star, it can have a few more english channels. Spray in the washroom does not have a gentle spray - We stayed in two different rooms and same experience. Balcony can have atleast 1 chair - wicker style Liked that they offer free steam, sauna and jacuzzi. If you are a tourist like me, then end of the day a steam can really relax you

The hotel staff were smiling always, and they acted they are trying to help although the result was below expectations, so this was confusing, they seemed they wanted to help but we got nothing Booking.com msgs First of all the venue did not reply at all on the msgs through the booking system, although at the venue they said they got the msgs. Reception requests We have informed them at the counter we are on our anniversary, they said you should have contacted us earlier….although they did not reply on the booking system and the day before I have a call recorded with them with a phone hassle We requested a specific hotel side view room on booking .com and at the reception, we did not get it although the hotel was not fully booked After a pressure from us, the hotel said they will see what they can do about the anniversary, but one of the communication links inside the hotel dropped the msg and we did not get anything on time, although we got it after a second pressure by us again For the anniversary we got a cake which in no way was fresh and we gave it back in full after we took a bite, it was not a 5 star hotel quality or even 2 star restaurant cleanliness The cleanliness of the room is not a 5 star hotel, it is not a 5 star quality bathroom , floors, furniture, the furniture is not like the image, which is I think 10 years old Amenities There was no ironing tools as advertised.
