The service is super invincible and the breakfast is very rich and delicious. Although the hot spring is not big, it is generally very cost-effective

The location is great. It is near oirase river. As we went in the autumn time, the scenenary was excellant and even the scene at hotel ground is great. The room is big and cozy too. The buffet breakfast and dinner are tasty with good variety. You can also take the free shuttle to about half way of the road along oriase river. You can also take the free shuttle buse to the outdoor onsen which is about 5 mins drive. The onsen is located along a stream with a fall. However as we went in the evening, so no idea what it looks like in the day time but the experience was great anyway. It would be great if you can stay two nights in the hotel to enjoy all the facilities if you can afford the room rate which is quite expensive but worth it. As we had stayed one night only, we could not use all facilities available. One disappoint is that when we check out, it was raining but there was no body to help us to upload our luggages to our car.

Very quiet inn, when we were there the place seemed totally empty. Pretty delicious breakfast was provided and they also had dinner available but we went elsewhere nearby. The washrooms / bathing area was shared. They also offered (we didn't go though) to drive you to a nearby hot spring which was included free to use for guests (I believe you would have to pay a small amount for the tax though).

At the end of April, I saw a two-meter-high Hun Snow. It’s a rare hotel. It’s surrounded by natural beauty at the foot of the Bajiatian Mountain. The service is full of hot springs. The hot springs that flow from the foot are small but very simple. Japanese guests also have more tourists. The two are the only foreigners #绝佳位置# #房清洁#

I thought maybe three stars for this hotel but on reflection gave it an extra one for its epic scale. This place is huge with hundreds of rooms, more wings than a dragonfly, a very large souvenir shop, an indoor waterfall that covers three floors in height, onsens with Doric columns, numerous restaurants and more. It is definitely what I term 'shabby chic' which is common in Japan in rural hotels (its heydey was sometime between the 60's and the 80's) but it has an indefinable charm. Pluses: you are unlikely to ever stay anywhere like it again so take the chance now, service is with the standard Japanese courtesy and efficiency, rooms are large and comfortable and very clean, Onsens are relaxing, particularly the smaller outside baths (if you beat the tour bus hordes). Minuses: we had prepaid dinners and opted for 7:30pm but found that the meals which included a lot of raw and cold seafood had been put out unrefrigerated for an unknown but probably long period (eat earlier, say 6:00pm as is usual in Japan); our room was adjacent to and above the bus parking area and at one stage there were 13 tour buses outside our windows loading in the morning and unloading in the evening (if you can speak Japanese ask to avoid this), breakfasts were served like a hospital meal (but were more tasty). In summary I have stayed in many better places but I couldn't tell you where they all were but I will always remember the Hotel Towadaso fondly.
