Outside of building needs a wash. Windows were very dirty. Selection of buffet breakfast very limited and we had to prompt the waiter for more coffee. There is no pool on site although website says there is. OMR 10 to use Hyatt’s pool & gym. Beach a 5 minute walk away. Noise from Hyatts A/C generators is constant.

Over several years I've been fortunate to stay at the Crowne Plaza Qurum Heights many times and have never had less than an outstanding experience. I've recommended the property to many friends and colleagues and they have shared in the great experience with the accommodations as well as the restaurants. This is your best bet in the area, for location, value, and especially for the truly remarkable professionalism of the staff. The newly renovated pool area and bar are beautiful and the home of the best sunset view in all of Muscat. This is a great spot for you and your family whenever you are in Oman!

The hotel is only a short drive away from the Grand Muscat Mall and there are ATMs (Bank Muscat, HSBC), several money changers, a gas station, and restaurants nearby. Reception was friendly and efficient and even sent a staff to help me park in the hotel's designated area, the covered few places and along the edge facing the road just behind the hotel entrance. The rest of the lot is paid parking during the day for the adjacent building. The room was comfortable and clean with all the standard amenities. The rooftop pool is lovely with wonderful views of the city.

In terms of location, it is a little far from the old Matola market and the center of the seaside promenade. Other than that, the other supermarkets and restaurants are quite good. Hotel environment facilities are very good, the price is also very suitable. The breakfast was not bad, the room was large, and there was a small living room, which was very satisfactory overall.

Breakfast is good for taking children. The space is very comfortable. Compared to the narrow space of the hotel, the space here is simply too convenient to say that the location is super convenient and the largest mall in Oman. If you like to cook for yourself, you can buy ingredients in the Carrefour store. There is a separate parking lot at the door and there is a taxi for a long time, but the taxi must be told first. The price is strongly recommended for the whole family.

This place is actually not suitable for tourism, business or resident is better, because it is far away from the main attractions, even the nearest Grand Mosque still has to go back and forth. There are not many taxis nearby. The shopping mall connected with it was a complete failure, and it was not popular, so many vacancies. Fortunately, you can walk to the largest local mall in Mascot, where there is a very popular Carrefour. I want to praise the room facilities are very good, very new and comfortable, without a dining table, the coffee table can handle it.

Price is ok Only basic items, such as body washes and toothbrushes, were not included but will be delivered upon request. The soundproofing was not bad and there are many people staying at low prices for a long time. For meals, it was 3omr (in my case I went to the restaurant separately in the morning) and it was good for vegetarians or small eaters. At that time, it is said that there is a change in the menu.

I have made a direct booking from Shangri-La webpage promising 20% F&B discount which was never applied in any of the F&B outlet I have visited. FO upon check-in informed me that I was granted late check out until 3pm however on the check out day from 12:00 Receptionist was calling me “Madam when are you leaving it’s your check out day?” phrases. Restaurants doesn’t have food options, moreover at Samba restaurant for dinner all our orders came wrong. For the breakfast I just asked chef’s for Bircher Muesli and unfortunately they didn’t know if they had it or not, afterwards they came back and told me that they don’t have it, until I found it myself at one of the food station. No clearance of the tables neither for breakfast, lunch or dinner... Kudos to Mr. Hari from Assira who during my stay was the only person delivering personalized service and going extra mile. Overall unfortunately I didn’t have the feeling that I was staying at Shangri-La, especially to compare other branches of the brand service is not up to brand standards. I would highly suggest as well to deliver service at the beach and pool area. At least the water service:)

my friend and I had to stay at this hotel due to our long flight transit. the rooms are clean and nice, food was very good - but most importantly the manager was extremely helpful and kind. he always tried to solve our problems with a smile on his face. he also stayed professional and friendly when he had to deal with an annoying group of germans who weren't capable of understanding exchange rates and were being rude to him. overall a very good experience and I can definatly recommend this hotel!

We booked this hotel because we read on their website that there is a fine dining indian restaurant called “Signature by Sanjeev Kapoor” attached to this hotel, but unfortunately the restaurant has not opened yet. Looking back at the website, it talks about how this Indian restaurant is serving authentic Indian food etc and when you scroll to the bottom of the page, it says “opening soon”, so perhaps it is our fault for missing this small print. But in our defence the website is very convincing about the restaurant being open before writing “opening soon”. Since it was my husbands birthday, I emailed the hotel to arrange a small surprise for him (eg. Small cake or balloons to the room) and they didn’t reply and didn’t do anything. We booked a suite which came with two bathrooms. It was a nice big space and clean, but both of the showers were not draining well, meaning they need to get someone to clean out their drains. The door man Alam is helpful but I didn’t like him wanting to hold my toddler too much. I know he is being polite but I felt a little uncomfortable with this. Breakfast is ok, fairly standard and nothing wow about it. Good for a 4-star hotel. We tried the buffet on the first night after learning that the Signature restaurant hasn’t opened yet. It was ok and expensive. The room was also quite cold. Our package included free snacks everyday. We weren’t too keen on the snacks. Cold samosas and cold spring rolls that had obviously been sitting out for a while and perhaps cooked the day before. The sandwiches were made from very stodgy bread so we asked them to replace them with fruits instead which they did. Some of the cakes were nice, but they must learn to make a nice chocolate cake. These snacks were food we had seen in the breakfast buffet so I knew the food wasn’t freshly made. It’s a nice hotel for a quick business trip and serves its purpose, but for a longer family/couples holiday I wouldn’t come here. We went to other hotels and resorts for day trips with our toddler, and I would definitely recommend the crowne plaza as being one of the best hotels and great value for money.

The beds are comfortable and generous, and the night light design is very warm and convenient. However, the room was not well ventilated, the smell in the corridor was always strange, and the smoking room was even more unbearable. I lived for 10 days and changed two rooms. The switch had three problems. Each time I renewed the room, I had to speak to the front desk three times. After that, there was a waiter knocking on the door to urge check out, and it was speechless. Let's talk about it as a 5-star hotel, there is no bar, no alcohol, enough for halal.

Samara hotel is located just off the main highway through Muscat, centrally located, in a busy, modest area surrounded by many shops and restaurants. I stayed there for four nights, and I never had a meal at the same place. I did not eat at Samara hotel itself, so can't comment on the food served there. Check in was quick and easy, and the room was sufficient for my needs, with a single King bed. The decor is basic, with tube fluorescent lights on the ceiling. The mattress is quite firm, but I was so tired at the end of each day that I slept soundly. The bathroom is a decent size, and the water pressure and temperature of the shower are good. I didn't specify a room, so the view out of my window was of an old, dirty abandoned building, but I didn't look out the window much, so I didn't care. If you rent a car as I did, there is ample, free parking on the nearby street, or in front of the hotel itself. Basically, if you keep your expectations in check, and use this hotel as a base of operations for visiting Muscat and the country of Oman, you shouldn't be disappointed. It is not a luxury resort, but a place to sleep and shower at the end of a long, adventurous day. The value was as expected for the price paid. I would consider staying here again, and recommened it to others looking for a basic place to stay in Muscat.

I stayed in a De Luxe Room for six (6) nights prior to my flight home on Nov. 21. It was a rainy Sunday mid noon when I arrived and quite visible was the lack of activity at the hotel lobby, somewhat gloomy and there was no Concierge staff to assist. That was understandable considering the situation we are in. So came the Reception and courteously inquired of my booking reservation and in a matter of minutes, she completed my check-in formality and directed me to my room, in the 1st floor Rm 1033. Golden Tulip Headington lived to its discerning reputation with its' well- appointed rooms complete with all essential amenities. I liked the tempered-glass work desk with the ergonomic chair, it made my work fast & comfortable. WIFI service was dependable. I managed to check and replies my emails with ease. The room was suitably sound proofed, spacious, and most of all immaculately clean. I truly enjoyed their food menu; servings are generous and taste is so delectable. Mr. Chef is undoubtedly an expert of the Indian dishes, incomparable with those so-so cheap restaurants around the corners. Its a 5-star to Mr. Chef for food preparation and special accolade to the friendly Filipina Reception and the lady Room Service who made sure my food orders are well attended. I would also like to express gratitude to the nice young Indian Housekeeping guy who went out of his way to help me when I got accidentally locked-out of my room. Golden Tulip Headington Ruwi is conveniently located with proximity to the main streets within the famous gold souq of Ruwi and the Mwasalat bus hub. I would definitely recommend Golden Tulip Headington Ruwi to my colleague and executives. Truly lived to its excellent rating.

The Al Murooj Hotel opened just recently in a central location in the Muscat metropolitan area. The Sultan Qaboos Mosque is about a 5min drive to the west and Matrah is a 20min drive to the east. Getting to the hotel can be a little bit tricky seeing as it can only be reached when driving in a southbound direction and not when you are driving northbound. So it is advisable to have a GPS device ready. Having just opened everything is obviously still brand new. The spacious rooms had all the amenities you can expect, the beds were comfortable and the WiFI connection quite fast. The breakfast selection is impressive with plenty of Western, Indian and Middle Eastern options.

Strategic position, face to cornice in the hearth of Muttrah. Basic hotel with a breakfast not too varies. We, me ad my wife, stayed twice in Naseem hotel. Arriving in Oman for 3 days in room 19. 4 beds, but noise from the street and a terrible noise from the air conditioner. The conditioners are the same, old quality, in all the rooms and also the problem remains. Twice we were at top floor, room 43. fantastic view, and quite room, for 5 nights, after visiting the Country.. Friendly staff, but the value added of Naseem hotel, is its manager: Mr Sandeep. A very special person. He is a tour operator too, so, after helping you to be more confortable in the hotel, he will give you all the suggestions for visiting the city and the Country. So helpful with me that I could use, at night, his computer in his office for my work ! Unbelievable !!!
