The hotel has an excellent location, adjacent to the famous Sijiaochang, in the most prosperous street in the city center, close to the railway station, airport buses, and main attractions. Within 15 minutes’ walk, the breakfast is rich, the service is very good, and the hotel has a courtyard. The room we stayed in, the bathroom is also big, it is the best choice for traveling to Palermo

The old-fashioned hotel itself is a very historic building, and the overall decoration is also very artistic a century ago. The rooms are equipped with small balconies, and you can look out the pedestrian street out the window, which is very comfortable. Location is about 20 minutes from train station

It didn't start brilliantly when I was told I didn't have breakfast so I had to show on my saved screen that I had and then the room I was given was on the second floor on an inner facing courtyard (see dark pic below which was the room darkness taken at 10.30am). I had to have the lights on at all times to see. It did not matter so much the first day as I needed to sleep in the afternoon rather than enjoying the comforts as had been travelling since midnight but on the second morning, I asked the wonderful Giseppe to change if possible. I was given the second room which had more light and a bath. I do sometimes find prejudice towards single travellers on my travels and sometimes that can be extended to single women travellers too but I do get annoyed paying only a few pounds less than a rate for a couple and being given a substandard room/view. To be clear, the decor was lovely but the light was just to depressing for me coming from the UK where sun, light and warmth is less all year round.

The location is very good. It is within walking distance to the main attractions of Palermo. There are many restaurants and shopping supermarkets around. The rooms are simple but very clean and quiet. It is definitely good enough for most tourists who come back to rest in the evening. The hotel staff are very enthusiastic and marked us the main attractions and routes on the map, which saved us a lot of time.

La Terrazza provided the best, most memorable stay on my recent 15-day trip to Italy. Do yourself a favor and book a room well in advance of your visit and book it directly on their website rather than one of the big dot coms. It's a great place to stay. Let me start with the only negative thing about it that might make you choose a different place - you have to walk up four flights of stairs to get to it. There is no elevator. I am an overweight 60-year-old man who never exercises. If I could do it, most of you can do it. (I decided I would eat one Sicilian pastry for each flight of stairs I ascended each day.) I didn't like the stairs, but I would stay there again in a heartbeat. Barbara and Emiliano are wonderful hosts. My room was very large and super-clean. The terrace where they serve a great breakfast has a beautiful view. The location is smack-dab in the center of the area where most of the attractions are, so I was able to walk to everything. They don't have staff on site 24 hours a day, but I don't need that. La Terrazza had everything I usually look for, plus some exercise. (And, believe me, I ate every one of those four pastries every day.)

For the hotel set by cruise ship, the location is just opposite the pier, and there is also its own free parking lot, which is super convenient. The room is a budget hotel, which is quite satisfactory. The most unexpected thing was the hotel's breakfast, which was hearty, and overlooked the harbour. It's not far from the scenic area, if you can, you can walk along the beach to Sijiaochang and the Royal Palace. We walked slowly for about 45 minutes. Overall very satisfied.

The room is super big, and the boxes are just spread out. Because Palermo is not big, it is convenient to go anywhere. The front desk provides a map, but the Italian cannot be read, so I still rely on Google. One thing to complain about is that the door of the room is a bit loose. As long as someone opens and closes the door, it will ping-pong. The first night we thought someone was opening our door, which scared us to death. Later, when the problem was discovered, the cabinet with the luggage was completely dead and quiet. Personally, this is still a big problem.

Because it is the last stop of the journey, and considering the hotel chain, our vigilance is reduced. When I went to breakfast, I didn't lock the suitcase. When I returned to China, I found that one thousand yuan in the suitcase was gone. I suspect it was stolen in this hotel, because there are lock boxes in other places, and staying here. The RMB in front of the hotel has always been there. I have seen the experience of other people before I traveled. I know that Italy has such a theft incident. I didn’t expect it to happen to myself. I can only blame myself for being too big.

Location : In Central Palermo close to the shopping area Reception : now they miss a star for not helping me bring my luggage into the hotel which is up some stairs . Reception and check in : can be slow but straight forward , I can't speak Italian but was made to feel welcome Hotel rooms : lovely and classical , I stayed in a double room and a classical room.... I would recommend anyone to stay in the double room as the single is too small . Now the WiFi was great in the double room but hit and miss in the single . The double room was on the same floor as the reception ( ask for a room on this floor) whilst the single was on the first floor . Breakfast - great with plenty of choices including eggs cooked any way you want fresh cappuccino delivered to your table on demand as well as great expresso. Hotel services - the hotel has a health centre where massages are available - this is easily booked through the reception. THE BAR - this is where the hotel excels Most of the staff in the hotel work in multiple roles both serving breakfast and helping in the bar. But the bar staff are absolutely awesome Here goes : Ferdinando Buccheri - Cocktail legend simply amazing ... I've had great drinks around the world but this Bartender is awesome... he loves his job and delivers with passion Bovi Davide - Also a great Bartender whose warmth and welcome makes him an ambassador for this hotel Alyce Coletti - always makes an effort to make you feel at home in the hotel, both at breakfast and in the bar Federyka Gambino - another great member of the hotel team , always warm and helpful. The above staff all got together to take a picture with me on my last day which really touched my heart. Ladies and Gentleman you are amazing and I will definitely miss you all. I will definitely stay at this hotel again due to the amazing staff

Been in this location between the 11th and 18th of August . I`ve visited severals hotels in Palermo due to the fact my family lives there, but always stayed in 4 stars and above. So, I was wondering what time was going to be. Wow , I was wrong! Reception : Extremely friendly service at arrival , the girl ( julia, i guess ) was absolutely wonderful on explaining us all the hotel`s facilities and times and showing good care for us. Room : An exquisite room with an AMAZING view , we took the one with balcony, we could see the whole city, fridge freezer full of different drinks, and several bathroom towel . And honestly , I`m very clean freak , and that room was spotless. Facilities: To find an Hotel in palermo with swimming pool wasn`t easy ...but with 3 swimming pools I reckon impossible, in the end of the day Palermo is a city surrounded by beaches so , not many are really keen on stay at the pool, but because of the location of the Hotel , those pool were the best, expecially the one that look at the city, fantastic. Restaurant : If you wondering where to eat , you have 2 choices , or going around in Palermo with the crazy traffic and been ripped off by a turistic restaurant or... enjoy an amazing service and the restorant ( i capricci di Cristian ) at the 5th floor of the hotel. OMG! the pizza was perfection. The pasta dishes pure art, and the desserts so delicate. I almost had dinner everyday in there, obviously a la cart...and even reasonable prices. The service was spot on, restaurant was full but 2 waiters managed to run it smoothly. Breakfast included : I`m italian by blood , so I didn`t mind croissant in the morning , but my partner is english , so he could choose a nice savoury breakfast with parma ham , salami etc...drinks were included too, which I was expecting it...and even if you see the orange juice coming from a machine , was actually quiet nice. Location: I knew what I was going to get , the hotel is far from the city and a taxi can be quiet pricy from there ....but ....surprise ....they have a transport service from the hotel to city center and back to the hotel, just following their timelines but 14euros p/p with return , I thought was a bargain , a taxi would had cost us about 80 euros (not joking). I had the chance to congratulate the Hotel Director , a very nice man that walks around doing basically anything he can do to make that place even better, I saw him cleaning , I saw him serving at the kiosko near the pools, telling people off from the glass that face the pool ( obviously for not respecting the rules ) this guy is amazing I must say. Conclusion : 3 Stars ? MMMmmmhhh I`m not sure, I`ve been in many 4 stars in Palermo and they were absolutely horrible . This structure deserve more than 3 stars, I truly reccomend it , and we will definitely come back. Thanks to the staff and management .

Stayed a week. The airport bus stops very nearby on Via Roma. It is an old building, which was part of its charm for us, with a beautifully mainteined and polished 1940's(?) elevator. Large, high-ceilinged rooms. Decor was good and well-maintained, although of source a building of this generation will never - and should never - be as slick as a modern build. Bathroom and air-con spacious and fucntional. Central Paelermo, so forget about good room views; but the roof terrace/restauarnt/bar more than makes up for this, with 360 degree views. Service was warm and attentive. Breakfast was the only weakness: it was continental with scrabled/boiled eggs. This is fine, but it would have made all the difference to provide higher-quality bread, ham and cheese. Coffee, as usual in Palermo, superb. The terrace changes to a fine-dining restaurant in the evening: excellent food, but not cheap. Palermians (?) eat late, so it gets crowded from about 9.00pm; but tables readily available earlier. Shoulder season plus COVID, so not packed, but enough clientele to feel comfortable. Lobby is small, so if you want to hang out in the hotel its a choice of your room or the roof terrace (which has an indoor area in inclement weather.

I was in this small bb in February with my companion. The hotel is really nice, the perfect cleaning, the cost in line with our needs. There was no great variety of breakfast, which was not particularly disturbing, as I went on holiday more than anything to see the beauty of the land; the thing I appreciated above all was in any way the position. Perfect to see all the attractions of the Sicilian chief at foot.

Good location - though the street/alley on which the hotel is located is a bit off-putting. Comfortable room, OK AC. Not noise-proofed from the street which means you get an early wake-up call. Friendly staff - especially the restaurant staff Nice rooftop restaurant - we ate there the night we arrived. It was very good. (thereafter we ate at Cagliostro -highly recommended) Good breakfast - though the coffee is not up to the standard of the food. One niggle: When I paid the bill the night before we left, the hotel's machine would not process my card. Luckily, I only had the dinner and city tax to pay, so I had enough cash to cover it and to pay the taxi to the airport in the morning. My card had worked fine at Cagliostro restaurant about 15 minutes earlier and worked fine at the airport.

My wife and I spent 6 nights here as part of a three centre visit to Sicily. This is a good hotel in a convenient location for the historical centre of Palermo. All the reception staff were very helpful, especially Mario who was on duty when we checked in. All were prepared to recommend and book nearby restaurants for us. Our room was a good size with a large double bed, and adequate wardrobe and drawer space for our stay, although I suspect most guests are business people and holiday makers on a 3 or 4 day city break, rather than a 6 day stay. The room had tea and coffee making facilities including a Nespresso machine, an easy to use safe and a large flat-screen TV (although we could not find any English channels). The bathroom had a large shower which looked complicated but was easy to use, bath towels, face towels and bidet towels, with plenty of shower gels, shampoos and body lotion. Breakfast is served in a pleasant room on the top floor. There was a choice of fruit juices, yoghurts, fruit, cereals, breads, preserves, and pastries, all of good quality. Every table also has a bottle of ice cold water each morning. My only complaint was the unreliability of the wi-fi, surprising in a hotel which is clearly used by business people as well as holidaymakers. Would we come back here again? It is highly unlikely that we shall visit Palermo again, but I would recommend this hotel to anyone considering a city break in Palermo.

The location of the hotel is not bad, if you don't have much luggage, you can walk from the train station. You can also walk to the main attractions. Palermo’s attractions are open, including churches. For self-driving, the front entrance of the hotel is very concealed. In a small alley, it is still a one-way street. A police car squats on the other side all day. If you follow the navigation, you will be led to the square behind. You must make a big circle before you can drive in. . If you leave the hotel and go to the airport to take the Taxi, the hotel asks a taxi for 35 Euros, which is much cheaper than the meter. Breakfast and facilities are really average, so you can live. There are electric kettles and slippers, which are not bad for Chinese tourists. There is a big Carrefour nearby, it is very convenient to buy fruits and so on.

We stayed 2 nights at the end of March. First impressions - the staff!! The most friendly group in Sicily. The trio on the front desk are just so nice - only to be outdone by the trio in the breakfast room. Second impression - great location. We walked to the Quattro Canti, the Teatro(s) etc. There are so many restaurants nearby by that it is almost hard to choose! We were surprised by how many walking only streets there were just steps away. The parking garage is just one block away - but you can pull up right out front to unload your luggage first. You can get here without going into the ZTL by coming in from the cruise ship port side (SS 113). On our way to the garage we spotted a blue curb parking spot. Saved us 25 euros - hotel front desk staff have the parking tickets to sell you and helped us scratch off the times we would be parked in the blue zone. The only drawback to our stay? The temperature was 23 degrees celcius - and the hotel air conditioning was still on winter shutdown ”until next month”. While happy with warm weather, we had to open the window for some cooling air at night. The street is noisy until 300am with traffic, sirens and people. We were on the 2nd floor, with an over the street balcony. Maybe you will want a higher floor because of the noise. Breakfast was huge - cereals, pastries, hot eggs and bacon etc. Make sure you ask for the fresh squeezed orange juice - it is not on display but is so good. Would definitely stay here again.

We chose this strategic place in the center of Palermo, in fact the rooms do ****** H24 but you sleep well thanks to the double windows. The structure has been the object and is in progress a great restoration. There are a couple of improveable sins, The rooms are large and clean the bathroom (I don't know if always) without a window with a sub-dimensional aspirator, unfortunately c,and a smell of humidity that is not beautiful. Discutable air conditioning for payment but notified and with a backup fan. The remote reception is still funny. The thing that is clearly to be improved and the cleaning service that is not the personal fault is that, unfortunately, the lady dame da Solsi takes care of all the cleaning, we accidentally returned to 4 p.m. and the bed was still finished. The breakfast history is not clear, it is always thought that it is a limited staff problem. What is small improved things, I am convinced that the property is careful and will not slow to fix the sins. My vote is constructive and not demolishing .

I spent my birthday weekend in the gorgeous Deluxe Junior suite! Communication prior and during the stay was amazing, Davide and Francesco were great hosts! This is not a hotel or B&B in a traditional sense, most things are managed remotely and hosts give you a lot of privacy! The room was excellent, free bottle of Prosecco upon arrival! My favourite thing was the bed! SUPER COMFY! The shower and hot tub were incredible, especially after a long day of exploring the city! Be mindful of the water levels and side pumps, if over-flowing, the water will spill onto the floor and set off the flood alarm system!!! Lesson learned lol. Breakfast was average but worth it for the price of the suite! The area is so close to the main train station, all attractions are within 15min walk, the area might be questionable for some but I liked the vibe - filled with working-class locals :) I even received a gift as I checked out! We had a fab weeks holiday in beautiful Palermo at Hotel Tonic. Rooms are very clean and have a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. Breakfast was very good, with scrambled egg and bacon every morning. Breakfast staff are lovely! A lovely gesture by the hotel on my partners birthday to leave a bottle of wine, wine glasses and corkscrew in our room with their best wishes! Such a lovely touch. This hotel is just a 5 minute walk to the main part, left out the hotel, up and turn left on to via Maqueda. There you will find the Teatro Massimo. Walk on to the Quattro Canti and take a right and you will find the beautiful Palermo Cathedral. The fab markets are all a walk away and well worth a visit too. We would highly recommend a bus ride (806) to the stunning Mondello Beach. Also a train ride to Cefalu is recommended, where the beach bar Lido Poseidon sells amazing food! For a filling good value meal in Palermo you have to try Galloways chicken! Just to the right of Teatro. 11 euros for a full chicken with chips and corn....delish! And Ke Palle on via Maqueda for an Arancini 2.50 euros, chicken curry or bbq ribs were our fave. Airport shuttle is just 6 euros each to/from Piazza Politeama, which is a ten minute walk away. I really can't fault Camplus. Actually there were two minor faults: the shower cubicle was a little small and it had a runner missing from the top of the shower door so care was required when opening and closing; and the freezer compartment drawer of the mini-bar was broken so that it iced over. Our room was under the eaves on the third floor and it was very well proportioned, clean, modern and with a good wifi signal. The staff were exceptionally pleasant and helpful; the complimentary breakfast was much better than adequate, held in a clean, communal area that gave the impression that due to the clientele the hotel was a no-longer youth hostel. The property could not be better situated - not only was it two minutes walk to Palermo Palazzo Reale station, with a direct 47 minute link to the airport and no need to travel via Palermo Centrale, it just happens to be opposite the Church of San Giovanni degli Eremiti, a UNESCO world heritage site (an important, stunning Arab-Norman building set in peaceful grounds), and also two minutes away from a very nice restaurant, Villa San Giovanni degli Eremiti, serving excellent, great value typical Sicilian fare
