We stayed for 4 nights to get the last of the Italian October sun, from 28th October. We knew this was the end of the season (officially ending 31st October). It was lovely & quiet, plenty of room on the beach etc due to the time of year. However it meant that the hotel restaurant & bar was not open. We were a little disappointed as we hadn’t had any notice of this, either prior to our visit or on arrival. As it was so quiet it did mean that we got a free upgrade to a room with a sea view! The downstairs area, by the pool was not very inviting, dark & a bit creepy to be honest but there were fresh towels by the pool. We only dipped in once as the beach. Was much better! Sauna wasn’t working. The hotel did work for us for what we were looking for, a short quiet getaway. The points we want to make: Fantastic location - a step away from the beach. We had a few restaurants to choose from, but obviously there was lots of places closed for the season. Rooms kept very clean, beds made every day but parts of the hotel do need updating. WiFi only worked in the lobby. There were ants in the bathroom! The lift definitely in need of an update! They kept enough sun loungers out - only a handful of people on the beach! I can’t comment on how this would work in the busy season. Breakfast was great, good range & we had eggs made fresh as we were the only ones eating there on 2 occasions. Disappointed the restaurant was closed as mentioned above. We had no problems with the staff, as some reviews have. We enjoyed our stay but if we were to stay any longer we’d definitely prefer to come prior to the end of the season!

We spent one night here on our way to Paestum. While small, the "superior double" was well appointed with rococo chandelier and bed, quiet, with an angled view of the sea and Ravello. The renovation of the entire B&B looks brand new. Parking at the base of the building is inside a red & white striped gate on the right just after the left turn off the main street in Maiori. There is an elevator to the 4th floor. Furnishings include a double bed with two night stands, safe, small fridge with complimentary soft drinks, 12 real hangers, AC, chair (used for the second piece of luggage) tea/coffee maker with teas and amaretti. Wifi and lighting were very good. The outlets by the bed had two USB ports as well as the standard Italian receptacle. There was a small balcony with two chairs, table, and drying rack. The compact bathroom had an excellent shower with hot water, stool, vanity mirror, 3 small soaps, 2 liquid gels, 2 toothbrushes, and tissues. There were 2 large, 2 medium, and 3 small towels. We ordered breakfast the night before and it was delivered promptly. Croissants, juice, coffees, toast, ham, cheese, hardboiled egg, etc. on an rolling attractive table. There are numerous restaurants and bars as the B&B is right off the main streets in Maiori. We would stay here again.

Our tour package assigned us to this hotel for 3 nights. Again, we were thankful for this because this hotel was located across the street from the beach, and walking distance to numerous beach front restaurants and the ferry's to take you to the other places to visit like Positano and Salerno. We discovered that it is best to tour by ferry as you get to see more than when you are in a coach. The ferry is very efficient and timely. We were at the hotel from October 4 -7, so of course the water at the beach was too cold for us to swim. There were some brave people swimming though. The hotel charges 15 euros at this time of the year for two beach chairs and an umbrella for the day. However, a good tip is to walk down the strip and you could find a beach front restaurant that charges less. We found one that charged 7 euros for the day, so we took our towels from the hotel - it is provided in the room for the beach, and spent a day at the beach without going in for a swim. It was very relaxing. The restaurant brought food and drinks to you if you wanted that. It is called Lido la Bussola, and one important note is that their washroom is clean and you do not have to pay to use it. Our breakfast and dinner was included in our package and thankfully the food at this hotel was very good. Our server Geraldo was so welcoming and helpful. All the servers should follow his lead because he was the best one there. Always a smile and a welcome. The female servers were very friendly and welcoming too. A few negative notes - we asked for a late check out as we were not being picked up until late in the day. We were told repeatedly that they had new guests checking in the next day and could not allow us to remain in our room past 11:00 am. We happened to be in the lobby for most of the day and not one new guest checked in, so blatant lying is not customer friendly. Maybe this is a thing with boutique hotels they did not provide boxed tissues, and only provided one tiny bar of soap per day - which is insufficient if you are having two or more showers per day. we had to keep calling down for supplies for the room which was a total inconvenience. Despite all of this we will revisit this hotel because of its location and its delicious food. The staff who cleaned our room was very good, despite the language barrier we managed to communicate. She was great - kept our room very clean. We were in room 303 -which gives a view of the beach as well as the shopping area.

Superb service from Claudia! We stayed in room "Sorrento". The room was clean - cleaner than clean. Sparkling, in fact!! The bed was very comfortable, the room was big, the en-suite was super. Breakfast was delightful - fruit, yoghurt, croissants, little omelette type things. Great coffee too! And the fact that it was served in our room was fabulous. Literally five minutes walk to the beach and five minutes to the high street (well, main street with restaurants, bars, shops etc). Sadly the wifi stopped working but that is such a minor thing and we didn't even bother to question it. Claudia was great - allowed me to use the computer to print our boarding passes, and even gave us a small gift when we left. 10/10 - fabulous.

I have booked this b&b based on the pictures and very positive reviews. As we stepped in we quickly realised pictures weren't from this place.Later we found out it was the restaurant at the end of the coastline, I haven't seen this detail to be mentioned on booking..This little lie was then sitting in my guts for the rest of the stay. This is the third floor of the apartment block, changed into few rooms-b&b.Rest of the floors are occupied by locals.Do not expect the standard of two stars in the sign, they are purely decorative.Place has a feeling of the students accomodation  in early 90s with few different styles and colours of the furniture, minibar means there is an empty mini fridge .Place seems pretty clean, synthetic flowers everywhere.Shower is little limescaled and showerhead cracked.Rooms are very well positioned near the sea,not far from lemon walk and two bigger supermarkets. You will need those supermarkets handy, if you aren't familiar with Italian breakfast and like to eat rather normal than sweet breakfast (for 2 ppl you get 5-6 slices of salami, 1 slice of cheese cut in 4, 4-5 small toasts, 2 croissants, lemon sponge cake, 3 butters,2 nutellas, 1 honey, 3 jams 2 glasses of flavoured water and coffee or tea). Disappointing that in place like this fresh fruits, yogurts and fresh juices aren't served. It's not the buffet service, you sit and wait for whatever the lovely gentleman serve. No bowls or dessert spoons for cornflakes.I can not comment on the service or the owners as they seemed to be very helpful and nice, however, some change in general standards here would be required. I wouldn't book for this price if they upload the real pics.

A superb hotel in a superb location. We had a 7 night stay during COVID pandemic (we went for a wedding!) The hotel, has excellent COVID regulations in place which included face masks, temp checks, constant cleaning, and hand gel everywhere. We had a Panoramic Garden room (515) not the biggest of these rooms but spotlessly clean. Amazing views from garden terrace, very comfortable bed, clean bathroom but with a tiny shower ( minor niggle) The pool was set up for COVID distancing, you had to book a sun bed spot but this was never a problem as there were always plenty. The pool manager disinfected every sun bed after they were vacated. The views from the rooftop pool are stunning. The restaurant had equally tight COVID measures with tables well spaced. We only ate breakfast and it was excellent. Served by Luca who knew what we wanted before we even sat down! There is a rooftop bar which is beautiful at night looking over the lights of Maiori. Drinks slightly pricier then in town but not horrendous. The hotel is located at the southern edge of the resort about 10 min walk to the restaurants in the heart of town, (uphill on way back) with a short part of the walk along the busy main road. A bit un nerving at times, and probably not ideal for those with mobility issues or very small children. The staff at the hotel are lovely, providing a very professional service. My only niggle is no tea/ coffee making facilities in the room....we are not sure if this was usual or due to COVID. However this aside the hotel is fully deserving of its 4 stars. If we returned to Maiori we would not stay anywhere else!

Just back from staying here for 9 nights as a family of 4 including 2 teenagers. Booked here last minute after our holiday to Cyprus was cancelled with Thomas Cook and may say absolutely loved it. Maiori is just beautiful and compared to Amalfi and Positano very quiet but very well located to explore the area. We did day trips to Pompeii and Herculaneum, day trip to Capri and went up to Ravello and numerous walks and returns by water taxi. The accommodation is either traditional or old fashioned depending on what you think but it is absolutely immaculate. Our 2 bedroom apartment was spotless and all aspects of the hotel were spotless too. It is a bit of a walk to the Main Street down a very steep hill and takes about 10 minutes, there are very few walking sticks evident in Maiori. The walking keeps everyone fit it seems. If you visit the area and stay in this hotel you will not be disappointed. We will all be back.

How can one visit Amalfi Coast and not stay in Maiori? My 3rd stay in this lovely B & B and we were spoilt, thanks to Alfonso, Michela, Rosa and Lina. We enjoyed delicious breakfast on our private balcony (4th floor) and watching locals start their day. Extremely helpful, rooms ever so clean and perfect location. One small block back from the promenade/beach, close to restaurants/bars and shops. Ohhh when you walk back from the beach, remember to grab an ice cream 🍦 from the corner Gelato place! Thanks again for making my stay feel like home. I’ll be back soon to have another wonderful holiday @ La Casa della Stelle. Grazie molto Alfonso! ☺️

Patrizia is a wonderful hostess focused on making your stay there enjoyable is ready to help with various arrangements. There is a private parking. Laundromat is downstairs. Breakfast is served on a beautiful terrace weather permitting. The family also owns a restaurant 2 steps from the beach and the food their is super fresh and really tasty.
