The hotel is situated in a very nice place sea front. The facility is wear down and the rooms smell heavy smoke. The shower only drips water, the bath was clogged, the safety box didn’t work and breakfast was ok. The pool water was green and they charged for the beach towels without verbal notice (only through a hidden sign) The personnel was nice, but the owner so rude and lacking manners. In summary, a wore down hotel, with an owner that is totally unprepared for tourism, located in a very nice place. Very expensive for the service and the amenities it offers.

Not a place to visit or stay at in the off-season, however as a motel 15 minutes from the Valley, it allows for good pre-day trippers arrival at the information centre/ticket/parking area. Motel has in-room smoking and our was very heavily deodorised. Very unfortunate and quite uncomfortable. Local restaurants still open and a long walk on the beach recommended. Not much else there, so arrive at the end of the day. Breakfast OK, and staff nice. Expect some small groups at breakfast (e.g. Bike tours) and therefore a bit of a 'seagull fight' for food may ensue. Staff responsive and helpful, so not really an issue. Good car parking security. Not really a bus/train stopover.

Arrived for a night stay while touring Sicily, on arrival we were spoiled by the wonderfully friendly reception. We were given a local drink and cake as a welcome, which was lovely. The hotel is by the coast but also in a fantastic position for visiting the valley of the temples. We went into the square and were rewarded with very friendly people, great negroni and treats. The hotel is lovely very clean tidy with great rooms, we were on the top floor looking out to sea. Great room and fantastic price. The breakfast was lovely, fresh with local goodies and great coffee. I also enjoyed meeting and chatting with the manager, lovely people, who are so gracious speaking excellent English. Fully recommend a stay here if visiting the area, just lovely. The restaurant was not open at the time, so am unable to comment on this. There is free secure parking on site, next to pool complex which looks great. Unable use ourselves.

Based on the pictures and reviews, we actually extended our booking by one night at this place. But at the end, we were underwhelmed by the experience. Pro: - no fault with the property: it's set on a beautiful ground with fragrant flowers and beautiful interior. Rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated. - It is located in the middle of olive orchard guarded by the charming resident dog, Rex. Cons: - breakfast selection was poor except for the cakes, which were excellent. But I pity the unripe, tasteless fruits (in Sicily!) and very salty, dry rolled-up omelette. One breakfast, we were served left-over cakes from the christening party the night before. It was a good cake though. - breakfast service was appalling: we had to repeatedly asked for coffee refill (coffee was served in a little thermos for the whole room), extra plates, extra water etc as no one watched over the buffet to ensure refill. The time was spent by the solitary lady manning the station by polishing knives or chatting in the kitchen. There was also no possibility of asking anything in the morning because the lady didn't speak English at all. We had to get the receptionist to translate my order of scrambled egg. - we had three dinners on the property and the food was underwhelming: the tastes and creations were standard and not at all a reflection of Sicily. Menu was also limited but rarely changed so if you stay a few nights in a row, you might have to eat the same thing. - services were mixed. As mentioned, breakfast service was terrible but we had really good service from the South African lady during the evening meals. She was the highlight of the place as she was knowledgeable, professional and prompt. Overall, I really would love the place and actually did try to spend two days just chilling in the hotel because the place is just beautiful but given the poor breakfast, mixed service and unimpressive dinner, it's not a place to just lounge around and enjoy the hotel.

We stayed here in November as part of an organised tour of Sicily. The hotel is in a nice location with its own grounds going down to the beach but it is in a residential area remote from town and everything else, so the hotel is the only option for eating and drinking. I imagine it is much livelier in warmer weather. On the plus side the hotel has a large bar and lounge for socialising with the rest of the tour group. We had a room with a good view over the pool, closed unfortunately, and towards the sea. Not all rooms have a sea view. The room was very clean. It had lots of storage space and convenient USB sockets to charge phones. The buffet breakfast could have been better; there was little fresh fruit which is our preference. Dinner was acceptable but not outstanding but then catering for 50 people at one sitting is not easy. The hotel has a policy that guests are not allowed food or drink in their room - but there is a minibar.
