I am not sure where to start with this review as I'm still astounded at how they got it so wrong!!! Firstly, it was the most expensive (by a country mile) hotel in our Japan trip that we undertook for the Rugby World Cup. At over Y45ka night (around GBP400). We wouldn't have minded so much if we hadn't felt like we were stuck in a 1950's resort a bit like the Kellerman's resort in Dirty Dancing. For a start, the rooms had the most awful pink duvet covers that were made of polystrene, the carpet had tons of old stains, the bathroom had the old beige suite look, there was an analogue radio, we had to ask for USB adapters to charge our phones, the couches in the room were covered with an old brown throw set...etc. The good was that the room was big (4 double beds!!) and the shower was great. Whilst it was the most expensive hotel, it was also the hotel with the latest check in - 4pm check in, 10am check out. 4pm really is late and i think grossly unfair. 2.30pm is around standard. Secondly, as other reviews said, this hotel was near the Ecopa stadium in Shizuoka, and we stayed there as we were watching the Springboks take on Italy on the Friday night (match at 6.45pm). We must have been one couple of MANY doing the same thing, and there were literally hundreds of people staying at the hotel who were going to the match. The hotel lobby welcomed all Rugby fans enthusastically. However, their enthusiastic welcome wasn't quite enough as it could have been - they had a shuttle bus running from the hotel to the station - on the hour from the station and half hour from the hotel. From around 3.30/4pm there were tons of people trying to get on the shuttle bus back to the station to then catch another bus or train to the stadium. At this point the hotel could have offered rugby fans a trip straight to the stadium, it wouldn't have hurt. Also they could have put on a few more buses (and even charged, people would pay to not have been so inconvenienced by waiting for hours). Secondly, their bus running back stopped at 9. On the basis the match finished at 8.30pm, and most people would have been in a bundle of 50,000 leaving Shizuoka, the liklihood of anyone being able to make it to the station for 9pm would have been rare. So really they should have offered to keep the bus running till 10/11pm (even for a charge) as it would have taken people 2/3 hours to get back to the resort (as it's very rural). However, what they did do was leave the restaurant open an extra 2 hours (till 10pm) to allow the rugby fans to have supper when they got back. The restaurant would have been totally empty as if anyone made it back by 10pm it would have been a miracle. So they just didn't quite get it right, plus it was like being in an overpriced 1950's bad dream. Breakfast was good though.

Breakfast is OK, very diverse, Japanese, Western, coffee is also freshly ground, I live in a small room, can not add a bed, but the facilities are very complete. It’s time to walk from the train station, it’s easy to find, very convenient! The service staff are also very kind!

Very refined hotel! Every tenant has a free hot spring bath, and the hot spring on the 13th floor is very good! Come to Hangchuan I recommend staying at the hotel, cost-effective, more cost-effective than living in a homestay.

The location is very convenient and it is one of the most famous hotels in Kakegawa. However, the history is relatively old, so the facilities in the room are old, and the socket finds one for a long time. Compared to other business hotels, the rooms are much larger, but the breakfast is too simple and a class next to the business hotel.

It is a oneday rental facility. it is a 70yearold japanese house built in a place surrounded by tea fields and nature that spreads on the right bank of oi river, but the water circumference has been reformed. there are 400 tsubo in the site and you can have a barbecue in the garden. it is about 5 minutes from mt. fuji shizuoka airport, about 15 minutes from tona yoshida ic and shin tonashimada kanaya ic, so it can be used as a base for sightseeing in shizuoka. nearby historical attractions such as the worlds longest wooden footbridge ashi bridge, cobblestones of the former tokaido, kawai ruins of the oi river, etc you can get familiar with tea, ride cars and sl trains, head upstream to the oi river and enjoy natural quaint scenery and healing hot springs. if you go a little to the east, you can see mt. fuji and izu, and if you go to the west, there is ecopa rugby world cup venue, concert venue, and there is a beach to the south. the oi river riverbed also has sports facil
