I stayed here for several days on a recent visit to Padua. The hotel is small and quiet but in an area that is readily accessible by tram from the train station. It is also close to many of the attractions you would want to see during your stay. The property is about a five minute walk from the tram stop to the hotel. If you have a lot of luggage and it is during busy hours (morning and evening commute) on the tram, you might want to consider a cab as the tram can be crowded. The staff are very nice and everything is very clean. The shower in our room was a bit on the smaller side but perfectly fine. The room had a small table and chairs as well as a small desk. Free wifi worked well. The included breakfast was quite good with the range of cold offerings you would expect in Italy. The coffee was really great.

We stayed for two nights and while we slept relatively well, we would likely investigate other accommodations if returning to Padua. This is more as a matter of personal taste and comfort versus any issues with the establishment. This is listed as a Bed and Breakfast but when I think of other B & Bs I’ve visited, I would call this more of an Air B & B or room to rent. We took a taxi from the train station because we had a lot of luggage and if we hadn’t, I think we would have had some trouble finding the location. There is no sign. This is a private residence with rooms off of their courtyard/parking area. You ring the doorbell to connect with the owner when checking in or at any time you need him. Our suite was quite large. The bedroom has a desk with a chair, two side chairs, a couch and a large closet. There is a drape covering the full length glass door but it has a several inch gap where someone could see in (note that there is no public access). The next room has the coffee maker, refrigerator, a table with 2stools and another couch. Next is the bathroom. It was very hot when we were there. The air conditioning unit was in the “breakfast” room. Or bedroom never cooled off enough for us. Also, if you wanted to close the door between the bedroom and the breakfast room to keep the light out, you would lose the air conditioning. The bathroom was quite small. No matter what we could not get the shower to work without getting water everywhere. Also note that towels are only changed every few days and we ran out of shampoo and soap after 1 day. We opted for the simple breakfast. We were given two pastries each and several pieces of whole fruit. Honestly,if you are planning to go out early anyhow, I would skip this and just visit the pastry store which is right next door. The “coffee” also seemed to be some coffee substitute- orzo? We ended up just buying coffee after we went out for the day. After checking in, you are given a garage door opener to get into the courtyard and a key for the door to the room. It was kind of cool opening the garage door to the secret courtyard. The location is nice, right off a square though it is a bit away from many of the main sights (10min walk). There are tram stations right outside and this was nice for going to the train station, though I wouldn’t try that with a lot of luggage. We were given a sweet each night, one night was homemade shortbread which was delicious!

The hotel is fine although some defects may be observed in it. Its situation is excellent. It lies in a quiet street with hardly any traffic in the center of the city of Padua, therefore at a few steps from the most interesting monuments of that city particularly Sta. Justina church and the church of St. Anthony. The bedroom I was allocated as a whole isn’t in fact very comfortable. It’s too narrow and nowhere in the room there are any sockets at sight into which for example the mobile phone could be plugged for recharging the battery. The only socket available was that in which the TV set was plugged. It’s located at a low level behind the desk so that the latter must be shifted in order to use the mentioned socket, what, given the weight of the desk, implies a considerable effort, the more so if the small size of the room is taken into account. It was therefore rather hard to ascertain the existence of other sockets by the aforesaid one. Besides, there was no table lamp on the desk. Therefore it could just be used at daytime for writing or reading unless one wished to take the risk of getting a hard headache. Apart from those nuisances it must be admitted that the bed was comfortable, the mattress having the perfect hardness to assure a good sleep. That room was, by the way, very peaceful, what no doubt is also essential for sleeping in the best possible conditions. In accordance with what I requested, it’s located at the end of a corridor so that one hardly hears any voices or other noise made by people walking towards their respective bedrooms. The bathroom is also quite proper for the functions one may expect of it. The staff members are kind especially a Brazilian bloke who was working at the front desk upon my arrival. He was very kind and diligent, and even helped me to park the car on the right place and he himself unloaded my baggage off my car luggage rack. The gentleman working at the breakfast room at breakfast time was also helpful. The breakfast was good. There was everything needed in the buffet to eat the sufficient quantity of food so as not to feel hungry until dinner time. Everything there was of a high quality particularly the fruits which were very fresh and savoury as well as the pastry; the croissants for instance being tasty and crunchy on the outside but soft in the middle. The orange juice was also very good. By and large therefore, it’s a hotel where one may have a good stay as long as he doesn’t need any sockets in the bedroom. If it were not the case it would then be advisable to consider carefully aqny possible booking in the hotel concerned before actually proceed in that sense.

We stayed at Hotel Methis for one night in June, as Padua was a good stopping point between Venice and Milan. We arrived at 10 PM and check-in took forever -- the front desk clerk asked what type of room we needed and then disappeared for at least 20 minutes (I think she was cleaning the room). On getting to the room we were immediately disappointed -- it looked nothing like the photos online. The room was dark and dingy; the bathroom was also not clean and I could not bring myself to shower or use their towels. To make matters worse, the mattress was maybe 4 inches thick. If we were not checking in so late in the evening, we would certainly have found another place to stay. In the morning it became clear that we were the only people staying in this terrible hotel. We were the only guests at breakfast, and after 10 minutes of no service I had to go and find someone to give us coffee. To top off this terrible stay, in the hallway the cleaning staff was arguing loudly when we left. This was a very unpleasant stay and I would have preferred to sleep in our rental car.

We stayed four nights in this hotel and really enjoyed it. We asked for a room overlooking the Basilica and were given room 80 where the Basilica bells rang straight into our room. The room was basic but clean with unusual multi media paintings on the walls. The staff/proprietors were friendly and we enjoyed our stay. The breakfast is outside in the courtyard and the selection of fresh fruit was very good. Hams and salami and cream cheeses as well as the usual cereals, yoghurts etc. Multiple cups of tea/coffee were offered. Next door is a restaurant offering Italian dishes we had never tried before - pork and walnuts was delicious and the roast rabbit very good. Wines by the glass available at very reasonable prices. Thank you all at Art hotel Al Fagiano for a very enjoyable stay.

We stayed for 10 nights at this quiet (35-room) hotel. It is close to St Anthony's Basilica on the southern edge of the city, and about 30 minutes walk from the train station (when pushing a wheelchair, less without). There are buses and a tram, but we never used them. Our room had a very comfortable king-size bed (actually 2 singles made up as one bed), desk and chairs, as well as a shower and toilet. There was excellent free Wi-Fi access. Very little noise came in from outside at night. The receptionists were friendly and helpful. They even found me a local pharmacy that would sell me some antibiotics when I got an abscess under a tooth. Breakfast (7 Euros extra) was always fresh and plentiful. We had cereal, bread buns, meat, cheese, cake, fruit and yoghurt plus coffee and orange juice. Al-in-all thoroughly recommended.

The hotel is a stone's throw from the Basilica of St. Anthony. The staff are very friendly, and the hotel is very clean. The room we had was unassuming but had a good television with CNN available as well as other Italian stations. The bathroom was fine with the usual basic toiletries as well as a hair dryer. The breakfast was also very good with a good variety of food. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel that could be very useful if you don not feel like looking for a restaurant. There is also on an ice cream place some 50 metres from the hotel. You just need to turn left when you leave the hotel and walk the 50 metres and on your left you will see the ice cream shop. We would definitely stay here again if we ever return to Padua.

Hotel Al Santo is a small hotel which is excellently located very close to the Basilica and only a brief 10 minute walk to the main shopping/restaurant area although they are plenty of restaurants and bars near the hotel too. The room was basic but functional, everything was clean and modern. We had no complaints. Each room is unique in size and shape so each review may not be applicable to the room you get. The only issue we had was although the bathrooms itself was of a good size, the actual shower was physically very small. I am 5'6" ish and 11 stone (1.66 m, 154 lb) and I just fit into the shower, anyone of a large size would really struggle to use the shower in our room. However, it was fine for us The breakfast was a wide array of italian pastries and meats along with some fresh fruit and yoghurt and was tasty and sufficient. Excellent hotel to stay in if visiting Padova.

A classical Italian hotel. Spotless clean, 5 minutes walking distance from St Antonio (the very center of the city). The staff are very friendly and helpful. The bathroom is just great, with all the amenities and perfect hot shower. Definitely recommend!

I stayed at NH Padova for one night. It was a work trip. The location of the hotel is very convenient. It not too far from the center and not too far from the main highway too. So it was easy to drive in from the Venice airport and back. The hospitality was good. Easy check and check out experience. Decent well sized clean rooms. All basic toiletries and utilities were present in the room. The breakfast spread was also good. All in all a perfect stay for work.

I stayed in room 437 of Crowne Plaza Padova on December 28, 2019. I am an IHG frequent client and a frequent traveler with an extensive experience in 4 and 5 star hotel stays around the world. The behavior and attitude of the receptionist Sofia is by far the rudest and the most descriminatory of my entire 35 years of travel experience. She doesn't even seem to care about her clients feelings and the impact she has on our loyalty to IHG. Her words, facial expressions, gestures, and body language all suggest hate, disdain, and descrimination. She clearly wanted us gone from the hotel and her actions suggested a clear racist attitude. I was going to stay longer in this hotel but I shortened my stay because of her attitude and the only reason I stayed the night is because we were very tired after a long journey and even so we considered going to another hotel but it was late in the night so we decided to stay the night. She truly tarnished the brand's great reputation and killed our desire to continue to choose to stay with your hotel chain in the future. Employing racist staff members is not a joke or forgiveable. We'd better choose another non-IHG place in the future if this is the kind of staff we may have to deal with in our stays. I will make sure to write the IHG Head Office to let them know know about this unfortunate experience so that no one else undergoes what we went through tonight. Thank you Dr. Khelifa

Padova City Center
We booked this hotel at the very last minute. Because of the flooding in Venice at the time of our visit to Italy, we decided that it would be preferable to visit somewhere else. We chose this hotel because of it being reasonably centrally located i.e. possible to walk into the town centre, also having parking facilities. We had booked quite an expensive hotel in Venice and this hotel was significantly cheaper. Whilst not I would say luxury, the hotel was great. Staff were friendly and attentive. The room was not vast, however, entirely comfortable and nicely decorated. The ensuite contained bath and shower and came with all of the usual "additions" including shoe shine, vanity set etc. Storage in the room was fine. Broadband good. Minibar provided but no tea or coffee facilities. Breakfast was OK - no complaints - better to ask for coffee than to rely on the self-use machine. The restaurant/bar did not appear to be particuarly open during the vening, however, a wet November may not be peak season. All in all - no complaints - having not had the intent to visit Padova until Venice flooded, we found it to be an interesting, pretty city and well worth a visit.

Padova City Center
I stayed at Le Camp Suite & Spa three times and I cannot recommend this hotel enough. I lived in Padova while in college and I go visit once or twice a year. A couple of years ago I decided to stay at Le Camp Suite & Spa for the first time because of the excellent location, right at the heart of the city and the convenience of free parking, which is a miracle to find at a decent price in the area. I ended up enjoying my stay so much that this became my hotel of choice every time I visit. The rooms are beautifully furnished and the staff always very professional and helpful. Breakfast is included and the selection of food is great and includes Illy coffee. If you want to relax before hitting the city, the spa is really the place to do that in a intimate and cozy atmosphere. I once also tried a massage and I was impressed by the quality of the service. All in all, if you happen to visit this wonderful city, I can't think of a better place to stay for the unbeatable location, the quality and professionalism of the service, and the comfort of the hotel.

Hotel Garibaldi is situated in a strategic position to visit Padua and Venice. The hotel offers spacious rooms equipped with Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, minibar, hairdryer in the bathroom and a LCD TV with football and cinema channels. The best part about the hotel is that there is a large garden where you can relax in the evening. A generous breakfast buffet of sweet and savory items is served daily, and there are many restaurants in the immediate area. The reception is open 24 hours a day.
