Our room was quite spacious, clean, TV with sky, comfortable bed but they should change the coats, high and hard, uncomfortable to sleep. Good breakfast, with very good products and served according to the anti-Covid rules. I would like the camel requested in the evening (in half the tea) had been offered as often happened in other hotels, but we were counted, 2. I said I would come back to Verona. Probably price of the room a little higher but much lower than the average of the hotels in Verona

The apartment is lovely and out daughters really enjoyed the bunk beds. the garden patio is a great place to eat lunch!! Most of all, I really want to thank Andrea throughout our attempts to get to Verona. I feel like he is an old friend now! He is a lovely host who makes you feel like you are in your own home! The doorway of the car is farther away, and the door is flat. In addition, the hotel's breakfast is good. You can go to Lake Garda, not too far away, the environment is not bad. Recommended to stay in Verona for a few more days. A small but very comfortable city!

|5.07km from city centerA great site to access Verona with a bus stop directly outside the site costing just over 2 euros return for a 30 minute each way trip so very cheap. Buses every 30 minutes and it was the service 41. Check in sraff very helpful and friendly and on hand to answer any queries. The site was modern and clean with lovely shower blocks and plenty adequate toilets and showers operated with your pass. Each guest is given their own wifi code so it was efficient. There is a swimming pool twenty minutes walk away or you can drive to it also. You could choose your own camping spot and was plenty of room. The only down side was they allowed guests to check in very late and putting tents up at half ten at night is riduculous with slamming car doors and hammering tent pegs into the ground. They should not allow this to happen.

The service of the hotel is very good, especially the duty manager of the front desk gentleman, patient and kind. The location is particularly good, in the heart of Verona, walking to the Juliet House for 3 minutes. The breakfast is very rich, cappuccino, homemade raspberry yoghurt is especially delicious, all kinds of bread dessert, salad and fruit, salmon, roast beef tastes very good. I will stay at this hotel next time.

We were meant to stay at Hotel Marco Polo back in April 2020 for my wife's Birthday, however due to obvious reasons we were forced to cancel. The hotel generously honoured our pre paid break, extending our travel voucher 3 times before we finally managed to make plans to visit. Our outbound flight was delayed so we had to check in at Hotel Mastino, a sister hotel which is less that 100 yards around the corner. The gentleman on reception was expecting us and we were in our room within 5 minutes. Our room wa, light and airy with beautiful high beamed ceiling decorated in a modern yet typically Italian style. Our bed was huge and extremely comfortable and the breakfast buffet in the mornings was just what was needed to set you up for lots of walking around this beautiful city. When we return to Verona in the future I have no doubt we will try to stay at Hotel Marco Polo again.

|2.18km from city centerAfter being recommended to stay at this “hotel” for a course we were doing, it was a nightmare from day one. We were in a 4 bed apartment and hot water wouldn’t work for more than 15 minutes so that meant some of us were having cold showers everyday. Especially when they’d fix it at night but it was freezing again by the morning and we didn’t have time to get them to sort it as this took around an hour of our time. Despite telling them EVERYDAY that our hot water wasn’t working and the boiling was broke, it took them 6 days into our 10 night stay to do something. Everytime we would plead them to fix it or move us apartments, they lied and told us that the hotel was fully booked and would just tell us to turn the boiler on and off. The hob in our apartment barely worked, everything was dirty and smelt like a nursing home, no washing machine, mouldy dirty showers and limescale on the shower head so thick that it wouldn’t even work properly. The microwave sparked at the plug and needed to be changed, the bedsheets smelt dirty and the shutters kept jamming. On day 6 they moved us to a smaller apartment, despite paying for more and didn’t apologise or offer any compensation. When we arrived, the showers still weren’t in the best condition and the kitchen was barely supplied with any utensils to cook and then the balcony door jammed shut. When we called reception, he said they couldn’t do anything for a couple of hours despite us having washing our there and wanting to use the balcony to enjoy the sun. He then barged in 10 minutes later, not saying anything and pulling at the doors then proceeded to climb through the window to get to the balcony. We’ve constantly had to change our plans to wait whilst the staff at the hotel messed with the broken things and not know how to fix it. There was no proper engineering staff and we didn’t see any cleaners working whilst we were here. The one time our apartment was cleaned, they didn’t leave any toilet roll and left one of the rooms completely uncleaned. The staff haven’t apologised once for any of these issues, if anything they make you feel like an annoyance when they should just get their hotel sorted. It’s dirty, it’s old and it’s been a nightmare. It also looks NOTHING like the photos. It’s overpriced and promising an experience that doesn’t exist. Save your money, the hostel would probably be nicer.

|1.96km from city centerWe had a recent stay at this hotel for five days. The hotel it’s self is lovely, clean rooms, friendly reception and a good breakfast. We found their was a choice of croissants, toast,bacon, pastries, yoghurts, pancakes, fruit and more. The room was tidied daily and had a fridge. The downside was that it advertises a free shuttle bus but what you don’t realise is they will only drop you off into Verona at certain times. We asked one afternoon around 4pm if we could get the shuttle into Verona and there response was 6:30pm (this was the usual time they suggested) I said is there anything earlier if possible? He said erm maybe 5pm. They did take us into town at 5pm which was good, however it felt a bit like they didn’t want to. Also the mini bus only fits around 8 people so you MUST book it in advance as it fills up and you usually wait a hour for the next one. I’d suggest get used to the buses as the train station/ bus station was around a 20min walk but sometimes this was too hot in the heat. You can jump on a bus down the road from the hotel to get around. We did this a few times from Verona, but the bus ignored our stop when we pressed the button and we ended up walking from quite far away. Overall if you are wanting to save a bit of money in comparison to a hotel in the city, this is a good choice clean, tidy and good breakfast! Just bare In mind getting around and using local transport.

|0.68km from city centerFrom outside nothing ostentatious in this discrete small hotel in an old building of Verone. You would never guess such a charming place and warm welcome. The hotel has a very traditional charm and decoration with hundreds of paintings, plates and other stuff hanging from the wall. The breakfast room is just outstanding and at the mid floor of the hotel you find a wonderful small winter garden full with plants and flowers in which there is a cage with two budgies called “Roméo and Juliet”. We fell in love with Roméo who was constantly whistling at us to call us or to answer to our own whistling. Wonderfully located in the centre of Verone, you can walk easily to every point of touristic interest. As every coin has two sides, it is not very easy to reach the hotel by car as “waze” is not very familiar with the pedestrian area. Fortunately, when we were completely lost, we called the hotel and a valet walked to us and drove us to the hotel; what a nice attention! The bedroom is incredibly charming and comfortable with its subdued light to avoid the big external temperature. You can even completely stop the air-conditioning if you don’t like. Last but not least, the hotel staff is very kind and attentive to your smallest wish. A little bit expensive but a weekend at the Gabbia d’Oro is really a fantastic experience that is worth the price

The bed was the hardest we'd ever slept on, with crappy pillows. No shelf in the shower - awkward. And no a/c, so we had to leave the windows open at night - and between church bells and boats going by, it gets noisy early (again, yes, old building, but it's not a cheap room). On the plus side, the staff were fantastic, the location is great, and the breakfast spread was good.

|3.78km from city centerThis Residence is really great. The location is perfect and just a stone’s throw from Verona. The apartment was clean and spacious for four. The welcome was excellent; very friendly and detailed. There was a booklet in the apartment with all types of information: wifi code, parking in Verona, sights to see, restaurant and bar info too. The two latters both offering a 10% discount on meals or breakfast. Plenty parking for cars too which was essential for our stay as we were visiting nearby attractions aswell. Only thing I’d like to mention was that there was only one blanket available for the three beds in the apartment. Only bedsheets and a very thin throw were on the beds, which considering it was mid April, were a little too lightweight. The following morning I whatsapped for more and they were made readily available. So all was solved quickly and effortlessly. All in all a perfect Residence and location to stay in.

The room is spacious, clean, beautifully decorated, very confortable bed, the room is very quiet. The bonus is the fabulous hosts, from the very beginning to the end, friendliness, and information and tips on places to visit and eat. We felt very much at home, Massimo and his wife and their lovely son are the nicest people. We were so impressed with this place that we will be booking all the rooms for ourselves and friends for the Opera at the Arena 2020. Cannot find fault with B and B Cangrande, it really is perfect!

|2.11km from city centerWhat a lovely place to stay when you're visiting Verona. The view over the city is jaw-droppingly beautiful, the pool is lovely and the staff delightful. The website maintains that merely snacks are available all day, but we had beautiful pasta with full white table cloth service two of the evenings we stayed there. The building had been a nunnery but the refit is exquisite and there's just ten rooms, so it always seemed quiet. We used both the daily service shuttle to get into town and we did the 15 minute walk downhill to get there. A bit steep for us to walk back up, a taxi cost about 12 Euros. If we get back to Verona, we'll also be back to the Relais Fra'Lorenzo

The location is unbeatable, just off of Pizza delle Erbe and you can actually see the balcony of Giulietta from your own balcony! The host is lovely, very responsive and helpful. Due to covid we couldn't have breakfast in the common area so they gave us a complimentary voucher for a delicious bakery just down the road. Very recommended!

The street itself where the hotel is located feels a bit dark and run down though. The rooms are spacious but sp****ly furnished. A breakfast is provided but due to covid-restrictions only provided at a small table. Some youghurt but mostly sweets. There is no toilet in the rooms but they are outside, although private. I have seen many positive reviews before this one commenting the manager and I can somewhat agree. Our experience is both positive and negative. Please be aware that you have to organize check-in with the owner beforehand. There is no sign to show this B&B and it has no reception.

For few do llars more, I got service that worth much more that they charge. Milano hotel and spa right away made me feel like at home. From the moment i walked in to the moment i was relaxing in rooftop jacuzzi, with amazing view to Arena , took exactly 25 min. I got room with view to Arena, even without asking. Breakfast was served like at high class restaurant, with huge variety of choices from the menu. Everything carefully chosen, for the clients comfort . Stuff very very polite and friendly, especially Cristina and Gavriel. There is much more to say, but it's better one time to try yourself. This place is simply cares! Thank you guys for making my stay at your place so special, cannot wait to come back!

|1.86km from city centerWe have just returned from our stay and unlike others found the rooms very quiet and we were never disturbed by noise on the forth floor. The rooms were spacious and perfectly clean and equipped with what you would expect. More travel lodge than luxury but perfectly adequate for a city stay. Everything worked, staff were friendly and bus stops minutes away. Buses to the station (11) are easily accessed (from around the corner almost opposite Lidl) from where you can catch the 199 to the airport. The 164 to Lake Garda can be caught from a stop under five minutes walk away as can the 32 or 33 into the city centre. All day travel cards are €11 and cover the entire network. Individually the airport bus is €7 (single), travel to the city €1 (single) and to the lake (return) €6. All buses can be tracked on google and the app download from codes at the stops makes buying tickets easy and you then activate them via codes once you board. You can easily walk into town via several routes which takes about 20 minutes but after a few trips in the hot sun the bus was welcoming. Breakfast was international buffet style and fresh and well topped up no matter what time you visit.

|0.72km from city centerThese apartments in p. dei signori are in a building in very central Verona in one of the most beautiful squares in Italy. The apartments are modern, extremely well supplied with a kitchen/lounge as well as bedroom, (they vary in size and design), and fully serviced in that towels etc are changed daily, beds made (though not changed), and provided with ample plates, cutlery, etc as well as soap and shampoo for the very good shower. Storage space was more than ample, and there is a fridge, safe, and hot drink and expresso machine as well as cooking facilities. The front desk is manned 24/7 and very helpful. Prices are very high but not unlike top class hotels in a similar location, and there are innumerable places to get breakfast no further away than a restaurant would be in a large hotel. The lights and window blinds were very good indeed, though the controls were a challenge. Air-con and wifi both work very well. Apartments facing inward onto the square cost more, though we had one ‘at the back’ which was fine.The square is of course traffic-free, but it is possible to get a taxi to just outside the square, and the front desk can phone for one to pick up from the same spot (the rail station is rather too far to walk, especially with luggage).

|0.39km from city centerMy wife, daughter and I stayed at Relais Empire for two-nights while on a road trip across northern Italy. This small hotel is arranged over the first and second floors (there is a lift) of a old town building adjacent the main street to, and just a short walk from, Piazza Brà (and the colosseum). The building facade is currently being restored which did not affect our stay, but currently makes accessing the hotel entrance a challenge with the intercom to 'buzz' reception on the first floor to open the entrance door and with the intercom obscured by scaffolding/boarding. This issue aside, we experienced no noise or disturbance from the building work at all. The hotel's interior decor is lovely (very Italianate), the rooms/bathrooms are a generous size and very clean, the beds are comfortable, and despite our rooms facing onto a main road close to the touristic centre, the hotel was exceptionally quiet at all times. Breakfast was superb with a generous mix of hot/cold breakfasty food and beverages, and the small team of staff at the hotel were attentive and very helpful throughout our stay. A note of caution if you are travelling by car; parking is a short walk from the hotel in a compound with individual private and locked underground garages, and consequently very safe. The cautionary is note is because on arrival, you will need to temporarily leave your car parked on the street (or as I had to because there were no on-street parking spaces near the hotel at the time we arrived, on the pavement) and check-in with reception before transferring your bags into the hotel and then being shown to the garages (the receptionist will jump in your car with you to guide the way and show you how to access the garages). However, on departing the hotel, I was able to park on the street right outside the hotel to transfer our bags back to the car which was much less of a faff. If you are arriving on foot or by taxi, you can ignore this cautionary note! Should you stay here, we recommend dining at a nearby restaurant recommended by the hotel's receptionist, 'Osteria Casa Vino' (also reviewed) - it was outstanding. We dined their twice during our two night stay. In summary; a small and slightly quirky hotel, attractive once inside, clean and quite, with nice rooms/bathrooms, excellent breakfast, great staff and close to the centre of the attractions.

She helped me with the check-in and even when I didn’t know how the lights worked, she walked me through it. Also the good part, she helped me sooo much in pulling off a birthday surprise for my fiancé. She was very friendly and welcoming to both of us. Also, for an Italian to also speak such good english made communication soo much easier. I will definitely come back to this Hotel and please I need Erika at the reception 😌 Last but not least I am traveller and she’s the best receptionist I’ve met in my entire life of travelling and lodging in Hotels.
