The hotel is located in the countryside and belongs to the manor hotel. The garden has large lawns and the air is first-rate. It is very suitable for vacationing here. You can eat steak for dinner. It tastes delicious. In short, it is recommended.

I stayed here overnight on the 27th February for my dads wedding, when arriving the receptionist Linda was friendly and kind. Upon arriving at my room, I found it in an immaculate condition, it was spotless. The housekeeper Rose was so friendly and helpful.

Have just returned from a wowcher deal which was dinner, bed & breakfast for 2 £99. Hotel is Covid safe, masks to be worn in communal areas by all apart from when you are eating & drinking. Hand sanitizer stations through out hotel, tables 2m apart so satisfied with this. Staff were lovely they were helpful and attentive and on arrival receptionist very polite and welcoming. The hotel is a little tired & dated but it’s clean and our room had the comfiest bed, huge fluffy white towels and lovely bathroom. The food was ok - my main of salmon was delicious well cooked as was my partner’s burger, the starters were fine quite small portions and my salted caramel cheesecake was I think not a cheesecake more a moose and not very delicious, puddings were disappointing. Also no tablecloths or linen napkins which could be to reduce Covid but it’s a much nicer touch Breakfast was nice, you picked before the morning it was served hot, you could pick cereal, toast & juice - not much continental choice no fruit/pastries/yoghurt etc we had a full English nice sausages, good quality bacon and eggs were lovely. Reigate is a nice town you can walk it from hotel lots of shops, few nice bars & Priory Park is wonderful we had a great walk, grabbed a coffee & listened to live music. Would we stay again? Perhaps it was value for money but it is quite dated and food needs some improvement

The room was very clean and both evening meal and breakfast were excellent. There was confusion concerning the location of the dinner as the venue was changed at the last minute to the gallery restaurant in the main complex, not in the hotel itself as previously advised and later confirmed. On a cold wet evening we could have done without the 5 minute walk and the table we were given was ridiculously close to the adjacent table . The biggest issue however is the noise in the hotel itself. There is very little sound insulation and our room was above the reception area which doubles as a bar in the evening so the noise did not abate until well after midnight. Denbies needs to seriously rethink whether this is a good idea and to maybe have a bar located in the main complex, away from the hotel itself.

Note: review written for a stay before 15th Feb, before the new quarantine laws came into effect. I booked for my partner to stay in the hotel for self-isolation. The government guidance document states that temporary accommodation or hotels should be used for self-isolation if required, and that’s why I booked this. I have always found the rooms at Premier Inn Epsom Central to be wonderfully big and always very comfortable! My partner reports that this standard of the rooms was maintained for his visit (room would get 5 stars). However, when I made the booking and was asked to explain the reason for this booking, the receptionist appeared very upset that we had chosen the hotel for self isolation and in my opinion was unprofessional and discriminatory. The receptionist asked which country my partner was returning from and as soon as I said South Africa, the entire tone of the conversation changed. I understand that everyone is very nervous in the pandemic and hotels need to ask a variety of questions. We were entirely forthcoming and willing to provide all required information, but the way in which questions were asked and information was obtained felt entirely inappropriate. There is no need to be rude on the telephone to a customer who had been following the government guidance and rules. The receptionist asked questions in a manner that let her personal (negative) views be heard loud and clear. For example: Receptionist question: “I mean, why is he even coming to this country?” What I believe the question should be: “What is the passengers purpose for returning to the UK?”. In an exasperated and distressed tone the receptionist also asked: “does he have the paperwork for this?” I believe the hotel should be fully aware of the rules and regulations surrounding travel to and from the country. Including the fact that you do not actually have hard “paperwork”. The passenger locator form was indeed completed with the hotels address as required. The QR code could easily have been provided. This is just one instance of many within the call, where this individual made me feel completely alienated. Such a change in attitude and wording can really make a huge impact. I left the call feeling very upset. As a British citizen and resident, my partner was simply returning home. Unfortunately he could not isolate at our home with me because I am an essential worker at a hospital. Knowing the untoward attitude towards him, my partner felt uncomfortable entering the hotel. I believe that this type of communication is unacceptable. In a professional context, personal ideals and thoughts need to kept private or taken up with internal management- NOT directly with your clients. If these types of stays are unwelcome in your hotel, please draw up an internal policy and post this visibly on your website so that future customers can avoid such unpleasant situations. Stayed for one night, a Sunday, had a DBB package booked via an external company, TravelZoo. Warm welcome from lady receptionist who took us up to our room - room 20. The bedroom was an excellent size, with 2 armchairs and table as well as a desk, a Nespresso coffee machine and was stylishly decorated. The bathroom was also very large with a freestanding claw foot bath, and excellent separate shower. So a very nice room indeed. The building and its interior reflected its old coaching inn heritage, and all looked in very good order. This is not a property looking past it’s best! Our “2 course dinner” was actually a £25 allowance each, to spend as desired. The dining room was an attractive place to eat, and our 2 starters and 2 mains were nicely presented and tasty. The breakfast buffet display was good, and the cooked options excellent. The cafeteria Coffee was decent strength. Curiously there were no fancy breads or rolls available - despite delicious examples available in their in-house deli. And toast was ordinary sliced. But overall a very good breakfast experience. Our room overlooked the road, and so there was some traffic noise, but it didn’t trouble us. There is some road parking available outside, but in the end I decided to pay £10 to park onsite. There was an error on my bill, as the dinner cost was included. But this was rectified quickly, pleasantly and with apologies. This was an excellent hotel experience for us, and for the price we paid, outstanding value.

Firstly, the location of this lovely little B&B is absolutely second to none. With very easy walking access to the centre of Dorking, it's a wonderful surprise to come across this secluded and rural-feeling place, with it's stunning views of sheep meadow and country hillside. Numerous original period features and luxurious, sympathetic decor make for a cosy bolthole with lots of character, and it really does feel like a true "guest house" as the hosts are warm and genuine; welcoming you as one of the family without being obtrusive. We wanted to go on a serious ramble and were lent a couple of walking guides which gave us a great 9 mile hike round Box Hill, Westhumble and Denbies vineyards. Just what we needed! The lift to the start of the walk was extremely kind and very much appreciated. Breakfast was one of the best we've had a in long time. I know a lot of the reviews go on about home-made cakes, but seriously - have the home made cake! We treated ourselves to a special occasion dinner at Sorrel which is just around the corner: also highly recommended. We would love to come again for a longer stay.
